I have been a customer of Albert Lee Appliance for over 25 years and have purchased most of my appliances from them. I value quality and service. The last appliance I bought from them is a Speed Queen washing machine a few years ago. For the last 9 months It has been omitting a strong, unpleasant musty smell. I have tried several "rinses"-baking soda, bleach, vinegar and a combination of a few of those things recommended by the customer service representative, the appliance repair technician, and recommendations found on the internet. The washing machine was still under warranty when I reached out to both the manager, Eric, and the customer service representative, Jason, at Albert Lee Appliance. Albert Lee Appliance sent Be Tech Appliance Repair to my house 2X and did not offer much advice or make an effort to clean or properly diagnose the reason for the odor. The last recommendation from Jason was to do a wash with Tang! He claimed the citric acid (or maybe it was the sugar) in the Tang will get rid of the smell. I used citric acid (for canning) and that has made the most difference in lessening the bad odor. Although less, it is still present. It is obvious that both Speed Queen and Albert Lee Appliance are not planning on honoring the 3 year warranty of the machine. I haven't heard back from them in over a month. It's been frustrating because they seem to be using a "delay" technique (try this and that, now we'll send the repair technician to your house again, now try this, try that and hopefully you won't call us back). I feel the right decision for them is to either pay for the professional cleaning of the machine or give me a new one. Since this is unlikely to happen what's the point in buying "high end" when both the company who sells the product and the manufacturer won't honor the warranty with a faulty product? I'm done with Albert Lee Appliance. I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

They refused to install our stove because we had electrical issues that needed to be fixed. We fixed them, but they would not come back out to install and instead left our stove sitting in our dining room. We went to the manager of Albert Lee but he refused to help saying we signed off on the stove and now it was our problem, not theirs. We bought an induction stove from Albert Lee last fall. Since then, it has consistently malfunctioned, prompting four different service calls in 8 months. At no point has Albert Lee been helpful to us. They don't stand behind the products they carry and they don't care about customer service after your credit card has gone through. I spent all morning on the phone with both Albert Lee and GE, trying to get someone to come look at my completely non-functional stove. Finally GE offered to send yet another repairman to my house. IN TWO WEEKS. Not sure how I'm supposed to make dinner for my family in the meantime. And the customer service manager for Albert Lee has yet to return my calls. My advice? Go ANYWHERE ELSE to buy an appliance. I'm confident that if I had bought this through a website I would have a replacement stove by now. But Albert Lee is too busy to even talk to me about the problems I'm having with a product they sold me. Huh. Very sorry I ever gave them a dime. read more

Do I just have bad appliance luck? I bought a washer and dryer here and the dryer was so dented the drum would not turn. At first, Albert Lee would not accept the return until my handyman called and suddenly they were agreeable to replacing it. I decided to give them one more shot and bought a Fisher and Paykel refrigerator and the control panel does not work! I literally cannot adjust the temp of the fridge or freezer. I had another person look at it to make sure I was not being a dummy. It does not appear locked or in any similar kind of mode. I call customer service and literally the only thing that person can do is schedule an appt with a third party tech. Customer service cannot answer questions about the product you bought (though they offered to transfer me to sales) and they cannot tell you if this is a recurring issue because "they don't track anything like that." The only reason for two-stars and not one-star is they did have a better in-store price than buying direct. But TWO defective machines in a row is a problem. Update: I had to wait TWO WEEKS for the first available tech, who confirmed I was delivered a faulty machine. The tech replaced the control panel and it works now. read more

How Albert Lee has fallen over the years. The sales person was a combination of condescending while not knowing their product. They were unhelpful in solving a timing issue and acted like we were the problem instead of trying to pick up a phone and find a solution. When it came time for pricing, they were charging significantly more than just buying direct from the manufacturer. They claimed you needed to buy parts from the manufacturer that would make Albert Lee's install cheaper which turned out to be patently false. Albert Lee extended warranty was also twice as expensive for the same duration. I ended up walking out extremely frustrated and purchasing direct. The manufacture's delivery occurred in just a few days, had better install service than I ever got from Albert Lee, and overall saved $800. I have spent a huge amount of money over the years with Albert Lee but unlikely I will ever return. read more

The disappointing part of this review is the difference between the service we received in 2023 and the service in 2012. We purchased a refrigerator and washer/dryer in 2012. I had helpful service with excellent advice and knowledge about the products including that at our price range, the washer/dryer was not going to last forever. It lasted 11 years with one service call and then we went shopping for an upgrade. Not being in the middle of a full house renovation, we had more of a budget. In November, 2023 we went shopping for a new washer/dryer. The set that we had recommended was expensive and high-end. It lasted 11 months before we started having problems with it. After having it serviced once, my husband has been fixing it himself about every 4 months when some new problem arises. I can no longer recommend Albert Lee, an online googling of the brand has raised scores of poor reviews. I wish we had taken the time to do more of our own research because they did not. Save yourself the money and hassle. Do some online research and buy direct. read more

I recently bought a refrigerator from Albert Lee. The sales and delivery were smooth and I was impressed. I would give them five stars. However, there was a scratch on the door when delivered, and the door needed to be replaced, they said within 2 to 3 weeks. I called four times after three weeks, and no one in Customer Service would return my calls. Finally, I wrote a threatening email and there was some engagement. I found out (2 months later) that it had not been ordered. They replaced it with a refrigerator that was very loud, and I had to return it, which was a hassle. All this time, I never had a real conversation with anyone in the customer service department. Altogether, this was the worst Customer Service experience I ever had in 35 years of being a homeowner. read more

I just bought 4 appliances from Albert Lee. I dealt with two sales people both of which were very helpful. I came in with a strong idea of what I wanted on 3 of the appliances and they quickly confirmed I was on the right track. However when I had to pivot due to size constraints I got quick recommendations at several price points. Now TBD if everything works out in the long run but based on my research they steered me in the right direction. Overall it was a very pleasant shopping experience..coming from someone that hates shopping. Now the delivery...that was one of the major reasons I went with Albert Lee due to reviews I read about the positives of using Albert Lee who uses their own delivery people. The team I got was exceptional. So kind, so careful! The biggest challenge was removing my old washer/dryer from a basement that must have been remodeled since the old washer and dryer were put in there. Somehow they got them out and I am so thankful for their persistence and creativity...even temporarily removing a door. I will definitely be going with Albert Lee in the future, although hopefully I won't need new appliances for a while! . read more

It's hard to know how it was damaged but over a year after I purchased it, and a few service calls later, Albert Lee decided to replace/upgrade me to newer model. As a 20 year Albert Lee customer, I'm really disappointed with my recent (and ongoing) experience. I've always just gone to them for my homes and rental properties because of their service. But my current attempt to get my dishwasher replaced has been a real hassle. We're on attempt #4 and month 2 of this and we still don't have a working dishwasher. *Called and ordered a new dishwasher - June 27 *Attempt #1 - the delivery team said that it wouldn't fit (not surprising -- it's a 100-year-old house that was badly remodeled two owners ago). The install team said I needed a Whirlpool instead of a Bosch because Whirlpool made smaller units. *My sales guy said he heard we needed a Whirlpool, so he suggested a model. *Attempt #2 - the delivery team came and again said it wouldn't fit -- it was the wrong Whirlpool (the information about the size didn't get back to the sales guy). *Re-ordered the correct Whirlpool model. *Attempt #3 - the delivery team came, pulled out my old dishwasher, and said that they would not install because the connection "looked like it was leaking" and was behind rather than to the side of the unit. *I came home that night and investigated -- the entire area was bone dry. What looked like a leak was actually just some shiny flecks on the connection. There was no evidence whatsoever of recent wetness in the area. *At this point, I'm starting to get very frustrated. I called my sales guy and let him know about the situations since by now I'd figured out that Albert Lee was using a 3rd party service. I sent pictures and the salesman said that this should not be any problem. The delivery was scheduled for the following Monday. *On Friday, when I got the confirmation call from the 3rd party, I called and let them know that we needed an afternoon window. My partner (who had already rearranged work to be home for three prior attempts) had to be onsite at work until 1pm. *Attempt #4 - Monday morning July 28, I just got a call that the delivery was on the way at 8am. I'm out of town and can't be there. I'm now really wishing I would have taken advantage of the Lowes Memorial Day or July 4th sales rather than rely on Albert Lee. read more

I called about an appliance that was over 5K mid-morning on a weekday. The sales associate told me to email him photos which I did immediately. At 4:30pm, I had still heard nothing back so I called to follow up and he said that he hadn't gotten through all his emails yet. I think it would have been reasonable for him to have emailed me back within an hour of receiving the pics. Then, he sent me links of exactly what I said I did NOT want. Then he did it again even though we had talked about it so that whole exercise wasted about 30 minutes of my time. I decided to try one last time so I asked for a different associate. She said she was with clients and she didn't know why I was transferred to her. She sounded very annoyed. She "could have" said she was busy with clients but would call me back after. That is not correct. Rebate showed expired in November and delivery was in December - if anyone listened to what I was telling you that would not be the response. Additionally rebate was then sent to a construction site- for some reason it was explained to me that you had no idea I har another address- which was crazy since that had been topic of discussion multiple times since I was out of state and had to handle remotely. Purchased a brand-new refrigerator at Albert Lee on Interbay in Seattle - and they sold it to me without door handles! Who would think to know that a refrigerator could come without door handles? Albert Lee employees could not tell us where to get handles for the $$$$ refrigerator. We are calling all over town. Finally called the refrigerator manufacturer (customer service less than 5-minute hold) and the manufacturer are mailing the (non-custom) door handles to me that I will have to install myself. The service and communication at Albert Lee Appliance are terrible. Second, they had a "promotion with purchase:" and delivered a smaller appliance that was scraped and dented - they should have delivered it to the dump. Lynnwood Albert Lee Appliances customer service and sales is one of the worst I have experienced. From my perspective they all could use some coaching on dealing with customers. Jennifer was the lady I talked to multiple times sounded like a grumpy teenager and could not be bothered with any questions. She was bothered by my questions and just hung up before I could get my concerns resolved. The number they provided for me to call for service was not working. Very bad company to deal with if/when you have a concern. Albert Lee in Lynnwood will not get anymore of my business. If there was a zero rating they would have received that. read more

I had the best experience at Albert Lee when recently purchasing a new range. I had several iterations with the choice between an all gas range, or a hybrid electric oven/gas stove top. I had several complications with assessing the electricity load on my house for a new oven (for hybrid oven), and the placement of natural gas piping (needed for a new all gas oven. Renae was with me every step of the way, making suggestions and pointing me in the direction of the proper installer. I landed on an all gas viking range and it's working spectacularly. It's easy to write a glowing review when everything goes as planned. It's when things go sideways that you really see what a company (or a person) is all about. I ordered a washing machine from Albert Lee that wasn't what I expected. I called the store right away to let them know I was unhappy with it. Exchanging a washing machine isn't exactly like exchanging a pair of pants! But the Southcenter Store Manager Eric Mulkin made the experience as easy as possible for me. We were able to reach a mutually agreeable compromise on a replacement and I now feel satisfied with my purchase. Kudos also to the delivery team led by Chance. The service we got from Albert Lee was outstanding both pre and post delivery. After placing an order for a washer/dryer and dishwasher via internet, they communicated proactively and consistently via phone and email, setting up a complicated delivery smoothly (we are relocating from out of state and had to negotiate delivery with a remodeling contractor). All good so far. Then when the LG washer was finally installed, it shook so hard I thought we were in a hurricane. It was clearly not right, and I sent Albert Lee a late-night email. By 7:30 the next morning I had a reply email saying I'd hear soon from service. At 8:05am, a service rep from Albert Lee called me, and calmly asked if they had installed it or someone else had. When I said our contractor had done the install, he had me walk around the back of the washer, confirm that the shipping bolts had not been properly removed, and 10 minutes later I had the washer "fixed." Especially given the service rep's patience, it couldn't have been easier. +1 Albert Lee Appliance. read more

If I could, I would not give a star at all. I have never experienced the chaos of this delivery before. I got notified delivery would be between 2-4. At 345, I called the dispatcher and the driver called me at 4 saying they would be here around 430-445. They showed up at 445 and had to take a 30 min break. No issue there but looking at the passenger was obvious he had a long day. Come to find out he was "wasted" from night before, but it's 530PM so I'm thinking it wasn't from the night before. The driver had to encourage him to help. Our back door had to come off to fit the unit through. When the door was put back on one of the bolts was not inserted and still on kitchen counter. We also had damage to walls and unit. There's so much more but this is getting too long as it is. This experience was by far the most bizarre. read more

I live near Albert Lee and have gone in several times over the years to shop, never buying on account of them never being price competitive. But I thought I'd give them another try when shopping for a new fridge for a rental property. Did my research & verified ahead of time 2 candidates I had in mind were on display at their store. Told the salesman who greeted me why I was there & what I was looking for. Asked which he would recommend, or was there another in the price range (~$1800) he thought better of? His answer was that he couldn't recommend any refrigerator in that price range, period. So does he mean I am a fool for wanting to buy a product his company sells? Or that somehow it magically makes economic sense to buy a $4k fridge for a typical apartment? Zero help, zero customer respect. I will shop Albert Lee again zero times. BTW - if buying a new stove for an old house, don't get taken by the scam that you need to have your stove's outlet expensively re-wired from 3 to 4 wires & subsequently need to buy a new "pigtail" cord for the new stove. It is a lie; the old outlet & pigtail (or a new 3-wire pigtail) are grandfathered in per electrical code, as long as they still function properly. read more

Thanks to Manny we had a really great experience with Albert Lee. We're doing a complete remodel of our home and gave Manny a list of the appliances we needed. He noticed the dryer model number I had given him was for a gas dryer. We do not have gas. The other appliance company i had been working with previously didn't catch this before giving us a quote. He gave us great advice for the best models for our really really tight budget. When we need new appliances we'll definitely be back to work with him again. Update: Albert Lee reached out to me and made it right. They replaced the dishwasher with a new one and this time they actually send people from Albert Lee with knowledge on the product and the installation process. When they came and remove the previous installed product, they were actually surprised to see how the previous installers did the installation. They showed me how the electrical part was completely wrong and installed in a dangerous way. I appreciate Albert Lee reaching out to me to make it right, but I highly recommend them to rethink their partnership with the company that first installed my product. They not just performed a wrong installation but a dangerous one :-( I recently bought a Miele dishwasher, and I was happy to hear that the delivery and installation was going to be done in two days. Oh, I was so wrong. The people that they sent for installation were terrible, they left the dishwasher outside in front of the garage for some time and it was raining. They asked me for some tools and towels, which is not a big deal, but it shows that they were not prepared. After they finished installing it they ran a cycle to check for leaks and the dishwasher started beeping, they actually said that it was normal and part of the cycle, but it was clearly not, and we told them to check it. If was not and it was throwing an error. They called their expert on the device and basically said that disconnect and connect the device. After they did that they ran the cycle and say, ok is fixed we need to go. As expected after a few minutes the beeping and error started happening again. I called Albert Lee and they basically said, ok the only thing we can do is contact Miele and they will send somebody, but it is Friday so they will probably call on Monday. On Monday they didn't call so I contacted Albert Lee again and they said that Miele we might reach out Monday or Tuesday. Anyway, it has been 5 days without a dishwasher and the lack of accountability from Alber Lee is very disappointing. I just cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

My wife and I recently visited Albert Lee Appliance store in Tacoma to shop for a replacement refrigerator. We had recently purchased a refrigerator from one of the big box stores and ended up with a defective and very noisy "new" fridge. The big box store did accept the return refund of the unit and advised us to find a suitable replacement. We met with Scott Bradley at the Tacoma Albert Lee store and he took a lot of time to explain to us how to choose a quiet refrigerator and plugged in and tested each refrigerator we chose so we could test the noise levels ourselves. We really appreciated his assistance. In the end the big box store reduced the price of the same model that we picked out from Albert Lee and agreed to do the delivery and swap on the same day. Although we did not purchase a refrigerator from Albert Lee I will not forget this experience and purchase from them in the future. I went in today looking for replacement washer hoses for a washing machine I bought at Albert Lee. Before driving to the store, I checked the website and confirmed they sell the hoses. At the store I was told by the 'washing machine expert' that Albert Lee not only doesn't sell hoses, there is no SKU in their system to sell me a hose, that they only give them away for free with the purchase of a new washer, and I should go to Home Depot or Lowes or I could try to beg for one at their warehouse down the street. Either Albert Lee's website is lying about the products they sell, or the store's staff lacks the knowledge or expertise to competently service our community. Washer hoses need to be replaced every 5 years. It's a consumable part, and what's the point in shopping for an appliance with Albert Lee if they aren't here to support you after the purchase. If I'm going to Lowes anyway, I might as well buy the appliance at Lowe's in the first place -- often for a lower price. Albert Lee asks you to consider buying local and that they are experts at service. Supporting your community means you need to have knowledable staff who understand the products the store sells -- and you need to carry parts for routine service. I bought three major appliances from them. A fridge, and washer and dryer. Every single one of them broke after quite literally weeks after warranty expired. While I'd like to say blame it on the manufacturer - calling even for basic technical advice the reply was "sucks you didn't buy our extended warranty". I'd like to support local business - because you'd think you'd get a more personalized human experience than a big box, especially with how much I spent - they don't really seem to care one bit. Totally lost all future business and I'm sticking with HomeDepot / Lowes from now on. Extremely rude staff. Super defensive and condescending. They sold us a washer and dryer and an oven/stove/microwave. They told us the installation would be $75 and to call Damian John to set up the install for the oven/stove/microwave. They did NOT tell us the installation would be done by a company in Everett for $1400!!! What?! Apparently Albert Lee doesn't install ovens/stoves/microwaves anymore. When I called to ask why they referred me to an appliance install company that wanted $250 for coming to "the far east" of Snoqualmie Ridge (their words), they were rude and unhelpful and defensive. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who calls them back after they're quoted $1400 for installation fees that were never mentioned at the point of sale. So much for them claiming to be a high end appliance retailer. When I called to speak with them about the installation options, I felt like I was speaking to a used car salesman. They were just as dishonest and dishonorable as the "low-end" appliance retailers we were trying to avoid when we entered their store. Albert Lee has gone WAY downhill!!! Never again. read more

Our range broke down in early November, so we decided to check out Albert Lee to buy a new one. They informed us that they had an open box model that was perfectly fine and offered a small discount. We decided to purchase it from our sales representative, Palmer Balke and he scheduled it to be delivered (2) weeks later. By the time the delivery guys arrived, they informed us that we needed an electrician to come out and install a plug outlet for the new stove. My wife and I each called the manufacturer (Wolf) and verified this is not true at all. It's meant to be to hardwired to your existing panel just like our old was. We emailed Palmer to ask why they couldn't hardwire it and provided screenshots of the installation notes. He never replied to the question, so we gave him a phone call. When we called Palmer to ask questions about this, he became very defensive and rude, still not answering the underlying question. We also recently found out Albert Lee damaged one of the caster wheels in the back and it is completely buckled now. We reached out again about this other issue and unfortunately never heard back. We ended up installing the stove ourselves and thankfully the manufacturer offered to help with a replacement wheel to be sent in a month. I'm in disbelief with how terrible this customer experience was, especially for a higher end model purchase. I'm glad we installed it ourselves, because it's clear they do not care at all after swiping your credit card. *Edit in response to the store manager* None of this information from Kelly was conveyed to us at all. Palmer did not answer any of our questions and got offended when we took him up on his offer for us to directly call Wolf and get correct information. It is not uncommon for older or even new stoves to be hardwired to electrical panel boards. Albert Lee failed to disclose their lack of ability to do a very simple connection. Notice how there wasn't any apology in their response or even acknowledgement of the other issue of a damaged wheel by them. Extremely unprofessional and terrible business interactions all around of what should have been a very simple delivery and installation. read more

With the power outages in November, unfortuantely our frig was fried. We went to Albert Lee and met with Palmer in the Elliott location (Magnolia). We found an LG that met our needs. Palmer sold us on the counter-depth and zero clearance doors. Palmer said it was in stock. Then, when he checked he said he made a mistake. Then he returned again- and said no- we DO have it. So we pulled the trigger and made the purchase. We even splurged and ordered a new dishwasher too. This was a Friday and delivery was to be Tuesday. Tuesday came- and the frig arrived. The guys managed to bring it in, set it up and it was NOT the model we purchased. The doors were NOT zero clearance. I called Palmer and he said "oops, I can reorder but it will be another 4 weeks and you will need to pay the new, increased price!!" Unbelievable. We had been without a frig for a week already. He was glib and rude without offering a viable solution. We were forced to accept the delivery and move on- but I couldn't believe the lack of service. I have been trying to contact this firm since October 10, 2022 and cannot get a return phone call. I have left 3 messages requesting a return call and nothing... Mr. Cain apparently doesnt take calls and his voice message leaves aks you to email him so quickly that it is impossible to get the correct email address. I called again today and was given the name of another representaitve - who also does not return phone calls, but to be fair she has only had one day to respond. The appliance business must be difficult with all of the supply chain challanges, but this firm could do MUCH better in communicating with customers. If you are looking for an appliance dealer who practices good customer commuications i would look somewhere else. read more

A professional and well run store. Staff were well versed with their products. Kind and customer orientated. Our sales representative was Teresa Mazariego. Teresa knew her inventory and knew the operations of the equipment. She was there to assist us accomplish our goals. She did not try to push us on any particular brand or style. Instead she listened carefully to our wants and need. I felt that I was well cared for. I made my purchase within 10 minutes. I told myself before I came in that if any sales people were pushy or not seem to care then I would walk right out. Instead I found a great place to do business with. I worked with Dave R. & couldn't have had better service. I knew absolutely nothing about kitchen anything. I came in 3 times before placing an order and he was helpful and patient every time. He was so informative that I was able to make educated decisions on 4 different kitchen appliances. They have a huge variety of brands & their prices are the same as the big box stores. I like supporting local vendors & it's refreshing to work with such a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Helpful hint - I had my contractor install the appliances because Albert Lee's price for installation seemed high. Well, after 2 men spent 1 1/2 days putting in the dishwasher (and leaving unnecessary holes inside the cabinet) and hanging the microwave door crooked, I'd advise you to go with Albert Lee's installers. read more

my dishwasher was having problems so I reported the issue to Albert Lee and Shelly in Customer Service assisted me , she was prompt and excellent in getting my dishwasher fixed in only 3 days, with no inconvenience to me, my service was scheduled on my day by Appliance hospital and fixed in less then 20 min. thank you Shelly your awesome! read more

Would not recommend. Bought high rated washing machine. Turns out it is very loud, bangs a lot when it is in the spin cycle. Technician checked it out. That is just the way it is. Albert Lee will charge us $200 for "restocking fee" if we wanted to return it and buy a different washing machine. Very disappointed. Lesson learned. Never again. read more

Very disappointed with Albert Lee Appliances. I needed a new washer and dryer and immediately thought of Albert Lee. The sales person I spoke with seemed very knowledgeable and so I purchased over the phone. Very easy I thought. The problems begin with installation. After the delivery persons set it up and I signed, I was informed that the units were missing the "legs" and they would not be able to balance properly when using the units - they would shake and be unstable. I was told they would take care of this the following week. It is now almost one month later and I still have not had this taken care of. This is unacceptable. So essentially I can't use the units I paid over $2000 for. Customer "care" has not been very caring and has not been very helpful either. They are not very responsive or communicative about the process and It is hard to get a return phone call. I have tried over the last month to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt and this has gotten me nowhere. I'm so disappointed as I had other options for this purchase. I would NOT recommend using Albert Lee and I should have read the other negative reviews first. This is unfortunate for Albert Lee as I also needed several other appliances and I live in a townhouse development where my neighbors were also in the process of getting ready to buys appliances. Albert Lee should take more responsibility and have more respect for customers who support the home town store. read more
