Couldn't wait to dine a second time at the Park City Alberto's Restaurant! Eagerly chose the Grilled Chicken Salad again. The chicken was unequivocally the best I've ever tasted in a Mexican salad, the delish house dressing zesty, the black beans tender and tasty, and the guacamole worth writing home about. Our order came up speedily, and was served with a smile along with a nice choice of salsas. Kudos to owner, Carl, who clearly puts his heart into making each patron's dining experience exceptional. This was a great Mexican stop/drive through in park city. The inside is very clean and has TVs and great air conditioning on the hot days like today. I heard all about Alberto's famous milkshakes...so I had to partake! I got the famous burrito with the carne asada and chips inside. It was amazing! Lots of beef. I also got the plate which includes beans and rice. The burrito was plenty so I would pass next time on the plate. Finally, I got the Reese's milkshake. It was very good!! A must to cool down your taste buds after slamming lots of hot sauce. Being from San Diego home of thousands of Taco Shops I consider myself somewhat of an expert on this style of So-Cal-Mex. I was a bit disappointed, the shredded Beef was very dry and not very tender in both my Taco and my Mixed Burrito, I think it dries out and looses its juicyness when the cook heats the beef on the grill (bad idea) However the Carne Asada Burrito and Cheese Quesadilla were good. The red hot sauce wasn't very hot or spicy, it was pretty bland. The Green hot sauce is better. The Refried Beans aren't very tasty in my opinion, I didn't try the rice. The Taco Shop itself looks nice and it also looks clean inside, but it had no restroom available to inspect for cleanliness?!? read more

Great place for families!! We took a party of 15 there for dinner. They were very accommodating, even offered to open upstairs. Went there twice this week on our ski trip. First time I got the carne asada burrito which was a simple yet delicious burrito filled with carne asada, guac and pico de gallo. I was quite pleased with Alberto's! I came here on my first night in Park City, Utah expecting the same Alberto's as back in Cali, but I got something just as good! Honestly, the food is much healthier than the California Alberto's. Service: When I first walked in, I was greeted with a smile by a man who was very friendly. I changed my order multiple times and not once did he get impatient. You know that this place is the real deal because you can see the kitchen which means that they are not afraid to show what they do. I know that by seeing the kitchen, I am about to eat quality food. Let me start by saying, the nacherito burrito literally breathed life back into my soulless body. Great price, came out extremely fast and I inhaled this absolute missile of a burrito. Alberto's is on my way to work. When it comes down to it nothing beats authentic Mexican food, a great price and a drive through. I used to go to Albertos quite frequently as I live close and it was good quality food but lately, almost without fail my food has come out burned are charred and the it takes quite a while for the food to be prepared (maybe because they're leaving it on for too long). The other day I got a machaca burrito and couldn't even finish it because my meat was so overcooked and chewy it was unrecognizable and today my quesadilla was pretty burnt, ruining the taste. read more

Probably the best Albertos's restaurant (makes sense given the high class resort town location). The food here is pretty high quality but for the price the portions could certainly be bigger. Quick and easy. The hours are pretty bizarre though: they close at 5pm on Saturday (seriously?) and are closed all day on Sunday. Our Uber driver said this place has the best Mexican in town. Personally, I felt the best Mexican I had in Park City was in the shopping center across the road. But, it was in the same parking lot of our hotel, so fine. Parking is not an issue here. The place reminded me of Chipotle, if their menu ever got out of control. Now you can get your Alberto's fix outside of Salt Lake City! Newly opened and already bustling inside. With same location and type of cuisine but better food than its predecessor, Alberto's is basically Tacomaker version 2.0. Like Tacomaker-- still a salt bomb city. Par for the course. The exterior has been completely remodeled with beautiful colors and textures. A tasteful marriage of minimalism with old school mining town that should be called Park City Modern if it isn't already. The Drive-Thru is a little hidden-- located on the right of the building (when facing the front doors). The Drive Thru menu is a bit intimidating because its the entire menu splayed out in relatively small font on a single black-on-silver board. Below the menu are two black squares that close inspection reveals they are speakers/microphones-- giving a clue to newbies that this is where to order. Alberto's logo is an iconic mustached manly man-- think Hemingway meets Marlborough man. The cowboy hat from the logo was selected for the menu to indicate that a particular food item may substitute corn for flour tortilla. Choosing this symbol was arbitrary unless, perhaps, Alberto's hat is actually made out of flour or corn. Pleasant staff-member patiently answered questions about the menu and took my order. Wait time was terrible-- but mostly forgivable because they just opened. Plenty of staff yet still working out the kinks of food preparation process efficiency. Or it could be the too-many-cooks-in-the-kitchen syndrome. Any establishment so close to its grand opening that it still has a "now open" vinyl banner out front accompanied by a balloon bouquet that has not yet dissipated its helium gets a pass on wait time. Was offered a free refill on my coke because of the wait. Handed a non-descript generic brown bag. Missed marketing opportunity right there. Observed a long row of various colored labels inside the drive-thru window; but sadly none were put to use to distinguish items within the bag. Also had to remind for the hot sauce condiment. Chalking it up to more greenhorn kinks but we'll see. Food is hands-down way-y-y-y better than its predecessor. It is fresher and simply tastes better-- not over-salted, over-oiled, nor over-preserved (as in Del Taco). They don't even begin to compare. The scrumptious nacherito contains all the ingredients of nachos including actual nacho chips. Its an entire meal in one giant flour tortilla. The tortilla itself was a savory crepe in terms of taste and mouthfeel-- deliciously thin and Maillardly caramelized. The fish taco was much smaller and lighter fare. it came with a fresh lime wedge shoved inside the taco itself. The pico de gallo was super-fresh and chunky delectable. Bright orange cheap shredded cheddar cheese should have been omitted. The fish was battered and deep-fried but yet lightly flaky and dry-crispy. The fishy was a solid piece that did not taste fishy or briny. Howver, if the foodie deep within desires an amazing fish taco without the batter then simply saunter across the street to Sammy's bistro and order the mahi-mahi tacos. Probably even have a shorter wait. Predict that Alberto's will quickly become a fixture for local late late night Mexican food-runs. It is open 24 hours (closed Sundays though). Today was my third stop here. It's good. Solidly good, affordable, and consistent. Their burritos are the size of a small infant. My favorite so far is the chili verde burrito. The salsa which comes with an order of chips and salsa is delicious: it's mild (I have a sensitive palate) and heavy on the cilantro. I don't care for their other sauces (mild, hot, etc). They taste off but that may simply be a personal preference. In summation, if you need a quick bite for under $10 this is a great spot to hit. read more
