Great food here for a quick bite to eat. Friendly service and clean restaurant. Try one of their signature drinks.

I will admit this is a hidden gem. Not much curb appeal but the menu is HUGE! So many options and just about everything I saw others order looked amazing. They are practicing COVID safety but the service is awesome. The food is made to order so you do wait a bit but not unbearable. They also offer delivery with food delivery service. I was visiting on a work trip and I am so glad we stopped in for lunch and not some franchise restaurant.

Tucked into what could be Pontiac's restaurant row on Perry Street is the eponymous Perry Street Grill. It's easy to miss crowded in with it's neighbor Checkers signage and you're probably hitting the gas at this point going out of town. But give it a try. The reviews which are food and not delivery Karen centered are pretty much very positive and I agree. The menu practically wraps around the place being so extensive so it will take time to give a full review. I opted for the Cheeseburger deluxe and a Coke. The girl at the register said 15 minutes?!? despite the place being empty. Ok take out etc, I get it. The food was actually out in 5. Burger was hand formed, huge and loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles.....you get the picture. Fries were piled high, crispy which is rare for styro-clamshell containers and good. They were coated which I don't care for, but if that's their thing fine. So good not great, at least to me. The place was spotless with a nice if basic dining area. The lone TV evidently catered to the hard of hearing customers so I decided to take my food out. I'll bring the rest of the Al H's for a further review so stay tuned. Perry Street Grill. Hot stuff! Go!

I have to be honest if I could give 0 stars I would I've been watching this place go down hill slowly. It started off with undercooked hotdogs well kinda cold but we just let it slide. Today I got an omelette and I have to say it's the worst thing I ever had they completely burned the hash browns but they are soggy idk how. Then the eggs are wayyyyyy over cooked they are chewy and rubbery it's so bad and the ham wasn't even cooked a little bit I just threw away $20 in food and I won't be back anymore. I also noticed the owner only replies to the comments praising his store. That's not a good sign either I worked in the food industry my whole life and this food should never have left the kitchen.

If I could give a negative star I would I got this for 14.99 no seasoning what so ever loaded with butter that leaked out the bag look at this small ahhh container I definitely won't be ordering from here again

Perry Street skillet with well-done, over hard eggs. Perfect for my taste!

Odd looking little restaurant between a Checkers and a beauty supply store on Perry Street. Inside, they have about 6 booths where you can sit and they will serve you, or you can go to the window to order carry-out. (I was a little confused by that.) I got coffee and the Perry Street skillet. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't actually served in a skillet, but once I got over that, I was very pleased. hashbrowns were the base, with your choice of meat (I had sausage), green peppers, onions & cheese. I was mostly impressed with the fact that they made the eggs EXACTLY how I like them. Unlike most of the planet, I like very hard yolks and crispy whites. I usually have to make that myself, as most chefs were trained to make runny eggs. But these were perfect for me, so I'm sure that they will be able to make eggs to any other specification. The coffee was ok, but nothing to get excited about -- except the for the fact that it was a reasonable price and the server was excellent about refilling it. I was also amused by it being served with a demitasse spoon. They don't have sweetener on the table (just sugar), but they do have it, so you have to ask for it. My only complaint -- and something which they can't really do anything about -- is that the restroom is oddly configured. It's a long room, but the toilet is on the narrow part of the wall so that you have to be careful not to hit your head as you sit down. Not that big a deal, but I thought I should mention it anyhow. I will definitely be back!

Fantastic. Friendly service, nice neighborhood vibe and most of us delicious breakfast. We were well stuffed but struggled to stop eating which is a rarity. Having the owner / cook come out and ask us if everything was okay was a nice gesture. Service is a little slow from the kitchen due to what appears staffing issue, but food still makes the place worth a visit.

The place is really nicely decorated with a cool, welcoming atmosphere that just makes you feel comfortable right away. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always goes a long way. Shoutout to our waitress--unfortunately I can't remember her name, but it was actually her first day, and she absolutely crushed it. Super attentive, kind, and on top of everything. You would never guess she was brand new. Food-wise, I ordered the American breakfast sandwich (I think it might've gone by a different name before), and it was fantastic. Everything was just right--the eggs were fluffy, the sausage was flavorful, and the lettuce and tomato added a fresh touch that pulled it all together. Every bite hit. My buddy kept it simple with eggs, toast, and tomato slices, but even that looked really good--the tomatoes especially looked fresh and delicious. Overall, great service, great food, and a really cool atmosphere. Hands down, I'll definitely be back.

Mya was our server and she went above and beyond. One of our kids ordered french toast, and somehow we missed that it was topped with a fruit compote. We declined because we wanted our daughter to try it before she made up her mind, and learn from the experience. Mya came back again and could tell that there was no way this kid was going to eat the french toast. She insisted on putting another order in, saying "I just want her to be happy", and it was clear that she truly meant it. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast - we will be back frequently!

I was a little disappointed initially to be seated at the short bar as it makes me feel like I'm in elementary school due to the height, but this was a busy Saturday morning so I understood as it seems there are limited 2-tops, etc and this visit was at peak hours. It was nice to see the daylight coming through the windows which also made this a relaxing venue. While I was sitting there I was able to observe a lot as the short bar is next to the case displaying many delicious treats. I really laughed to myself as I noticed a couple of future Yelper's (one was 2-year toddler and his probably 4-5 year old sister (possibly celebrating a birthday) make a prompt trip to checkout the dessert offerings first! They were obviously "regulars". I was greeted by one of the wait staff, Mya, who was friendly, served me a coffee and indicated my server would be with me soon. I appreciated seeing the teamwork among the staff. I was eventually served by Owen who was helpful and I ordered an egg white frittata which came with a side of mixed fresh fruit. While I was waiting on my food, I had a vantage point where I could see several entrees come out. I also witnessed one of the two Chefs smiling as he was looking at and preparing the orders which I found interesting. The frittata included spinach, tomatoes, goat cheese, apple chicken sausage, and was delicious. I was still a little hungry, so I realized the future Yelpers mentioned earlier had it right, and I ordered a carrot cake cupcake which Owen mentioned was a good choice. The frosting was delicious and the moist carrot cake was tasty as well. The overall restaurant was hustling and bustling on this morning, I had my coffee cup refilled multiple times and even noticed additional children observing the case with the desserts. I enjoyed the overall experience and did not feel rushed at all, but more like a customer!

We had other customers standing at the bar with her faces with their butts in our faces There were so many other better seats I should've said something but I didn't. We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, which on the picture it showed seven when it showed up there were only five mushrooms. What was missing the most was crab meat it was a literally a bunch a shake on top of barely stuffed mushroom. Mostly fancy sauce and a ton of bread crumbs to hide the lack of crab....for $17! My wife ordered a sandwich which she enjoyed I think it was a Reuben made out of turkey and I ordered a signature Smash burger. We both ordered french fries that looked like they had been sitting in the basket most of the day because they were cold, and we're starting to shrink from sitting out. By the time we were done, my bill was $90 after tipping the waitress paying their 3% rip off fee. We both were expressing discontent as we left through the parking lot. There are two venue banquet buildings called The Carriage and this one called The Pine Knob Mansion. Both have valet parking service at their entrance doors. The efficient servers were very attentive when eating the plated sit-down dinner. They also served refill of waters quickly too.
