Among a sea of talented vendors, his bonbons stood out--bold, exotic flavors crafted with premium ingredients and artistic finesse. That first encounter left a lasting impression. So when it came time to choose our wedding favors, the decision was easy. Albert delivered a flawless custom order featuring our invitation logo on beautifully made bonbons. The process was seamless, collaborative, and genuinely joyful from start to finish. Albert brings authenticity and creative grit to everything he does. My husband and I were first gifted a box of Albert's chocolates after a purchase from David Yurman. We were enamored by the beautiful bonbons and they tasted as good as they look! During wedding planning, we wanted to give our guests a special treat so we reached out to Albert to curate some wedding favors for us. Together we designed a custom chocolate with our photo printed on them and selected the other flavors from Albert's menu. These were an absolute hit at our wedding, only the guests said they were too beautiful to eat! It was great working with Albert. He was very flexible and responsive during the process. My lovely Valetine of 12 years surprised me with this chocolate tasting event by Chef Albert and team. I found Albert's Petite Sweets while looking for a gift and loved how gorgeous the pieces looked. I didn't get to try them but hope to come back next time to try it out. Albert seemed very nice when I reached out and made sure I was able to pick up the chocolates the same day. I really hope I get the chance to try them the next time I'm in the area! the shop is set up in a lobby along with other vendor items. It was pretty straightforward to purchase after I got to the location. There's also parking conveniently in front of the building.

OMG. WOW. If you have Gluten and Dairy allergies. Give Chef Albert's a try. I guarantee that his treats will be on your favorite list. He is very passionate, creative and so open and friendly. One of the best guys in the industry. You would have to look at his website to find which ones are Gluten and Dairy free. One of my wife's favorite are those chocolate honey combs. Everyone we let try said they are amazing.

Working with Chef Albert was a dream. I asked him if he could create chocolates for my dinosaur themed wedding at NHMLA. He was responsive, kind, professional, and so easy to work with. He's a great listener, fun to collaborate with, and I could feel the creativity and passion in his voice whenever we spoke. It truly is so cool to know someone is excited to put their all into their craft. My wedding guests have raved and raved to my husband and I about the chocolates. They were delicious, perfect, and absolutely beautiful. We got a custom 5 piece box and a dark chocolate honeycomb raptor claw for each guest. People have been asking us if we have any more! My favorite flavor is his calamansi caramel. So so good. Thank you, Chef!!! You helped make my wedding dreams come true. Albert himself is a passionate, innovative, gentle soul who shares about the ups and downs of his journey, and whom you cannot help but fall in love with and root for. The chocolates are soooooo good! I brought my mom to the Valentine's Day event as a little treat. It was a little disorganized, and there was a pretty long wait to get situated with the chocolates included in the event . Also, my chosen to go chocolates were incorrect in the box (my mom grabbed them for me while I was getting a chair massage!). Overall tho, the chocolates really make this place shine! I will definitely be ordering chocolates for pick up in the future. Seriously delicious! If you need help organizing future events, i'd be happy to!!! it could be SOOOOO nice!

Albert is wonderful creator of fine chocolates! Our company, Titan Legal Services, ordered a bunch of boxes of chocolates which also included our company logos on the chocolates. We were blown away by the end products we received. The boxes themselves are very luxurious and elegant ... almost like you are going to get some expensive jewelry once opened! The individual chocolates are all individually wrapped and packaged with care and attention to detail. We know that our own Customers will be amazed as well by these wonderful creations and we cannot recommend Albert enough! The best warning I can give you is: if you want all other chocolate ruined for you, get Albert's Petite Sweets. When I tell you all that I was a Sees Candies addict, I mean it. My family grew up always giving each other boxes of it for Xmas, but as soon as I tried Albert's chocolates I could never go back. (And yes I tried, but Sees can't even come close) My husband ordered me a custom box and I loved every single flavor! Cloud 9, Ube, and I want to say passion fruit were my absolute favorite! I wish I could tell you all the flavors but I just know there wasn't a single one that disappointed me. The box was gone that same day oopsie lol I've followed Albert on Instagram for years (since the cake pop days ) and I'm so in awe at the beautiful sweets he creates. Albert is filled with passion and joy, his petite sweets are filled with his passion, joy, and love, and you, too, will love his chocolate and sweets and you'll passionately and joyfully tell everyone about how much you love what he makes. I was recently in need of an unusual dessert for a potluck I hosted, and since I've known Albert for over 20 years I contacted him about a cake only to find out he doesn't do that anymore! Albert told me he had something much, much better and he offered me his B.A.D. Box. Well, it ended up being the Centerpiece of my table and a fun, memorable, delicious highlight of the party! You'll have to ask Albert about it, but everyone at my party got his information because they loved his B.A.D. and everything inside it. One was not enough. ASK! When I went to pick up the B.A.D. Albert let me sample everything that was inside it so I would know what everything tasted like. Everything he makes is special and delicious. read more

Chef Albert is hands down the most creative choclatier, that goes above and beyond for his customers. I texted him in the morning, with a same-day delivery request, for a very special person to me, that lives close to his Cooperative in downtown Long Beach. He offered to deliver it himself that afternoon. He put together an incredible assortment of vividly unique creations that my friend said was, "so cute," and, "she loves it." Her appreciation for the gift is what I had hoped for and Chef Albert made that happen. And he decided that because my friend's joy was so important to me, he offered to add an extra work of art. He made the most beautiful hand-painted chocolate tulip truffles filled with dark chocolate ganache specially for my friend. Upon opening the tulip box, she wrote me, "It's so beautiful I don't want to ruin it." Thank you Chef Albert for making my friend's gift stunningly unique, just like her. Oh, did I mention that he had to make two trips to the delivery address to ensure my friend received her gift before he went out of town. I had a wonderful experience, the chocolates are the best!!! WE were lucky to have the opportunity to tour the factory, and even better, we got to taste some of the chocolates. Beautiful chocolates that are delicious. I actually was able to meet the owner who was very friendly, personable and accommodating. I specifically came in for the nutcracker box of chocolates only to find out there were none left on display. On my way out the store front, a front desk man asked if I was able to find what I wanted. Had the front desk not ask anything, I would have walked out empty handed. I informed him of what I wanted and next thing you know he calls the owner directly. Turns out the owner had made a new batch of Nutcracker boxes and asked if I was willing to wait 5 min. After meeting the owner who is the most pleasant person with such positive energy, I was able to snag 15 boxes as gifts for family and friends. There's chocolate and then there's the real real chocolate that Albert creates!!! The thing that makes Albert unique is his passion for being a chocolatier - it is an art and science and mastered craft all in one. He has learned so many different techniques and skills that he's able to use an immense amount of creativity to design these different chocolates in a way that no one else has. I admire the amount of artistry that I see in each piece, especially the bonbons - the colors are incredibly bright and they really do look like little tiny pieces of art work. Most of all, all of it tastes incredible! No more biting into a piece of chocolate only to spit it out because the inside was that nasty, gross icing with a gooey mummified cherry. (C'mon, we've all experienced receiving that drug-store-last-minute-I-forgot-it-was-Valentine's-Day chocolate.) No, these petite treats and sweets all taste so incredible and full of flavors that all work well together. My absolute favorite is the U-BAE & Cloud 9 Sample Pack: Chewy coconut caramel layered with fluffy Ube marshmallows and chewy sea salt caramel layered with fluffy marshmallows. Go buy some now. If Willy Wonka had a fabulous Filipino younger brother, Albert would be him. His creativity, passion and meticulousness in producing sweet works of art in bite sized form is why he's won so many awards and garnered a huge following. I really admire how he incorporates Filipino ingredients and flavors such as Calamansi, Ube and coconut into his delicious creations. I highly recommend trying his petite sweets. read more

Location: great concept for trying new food and treats there or to take home. The place is modern, clean and beautifully designed with an easy to understand layout for a newbie like me. Product: Albert has curated delicious, high end experiences with each of his treats which include bon bon, paté de fruit and marshmallows. You have to check his website for all his creative flavors, you will not find them anywhere else! Icing: supporting local business is always a satisfying experience and when you find gems like a chocolatier who truly loves his craft- the winning happens with every bite! My faves- - Biscoff cookie butter & Hazelnut, Sea Salt Caramel and Mango Paté... but I haven't tried them all yet! read more

I've been going to Albert for years now for different events, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Easter, Mothers Day, Birthdays and more and it's always a talking piece from whoever is around to see his work of art. Whatever he makes it always looks beautiful and well put together including the packaging, but I'm going to be honest I'm all about the taste of the product and if you think this looks good you'll be blown away by how amazing it tastes. It's some of the best chocolate I've ever tried! And I've tried A LOT! There is sophistication and so many layers in the taste that makes it truly taste high class and great for any occasion. If you are looking for something that is both unique, and great tasting you found the right place. Albert is the Willy Wonka of Long Beach. I'd gladly fall in a chocolate lake if it was his chocolate. I bought a bunch of the sample packs for my team at Netflix and everyone loved them. We especially liked all the combinations of unexpected but delicious fruits and chocolate. Next time you have a family event, work event or just wanna treat yourself I highly recommend getting Albert's chocolates I'm at the gym right now working out so I can have some more soon read more

I wanted to express how wonderful my experience was with Albert. I stopped by to grab some chocolate for my parent's wedding anniversary, and he created the most beautiful box of gourmet chocolates. The story of how he came to be a chocolatier is amazing, and the hospitality he showed me was unlike anything I've experienced before. I'm back for more! When I tell you that Albert's chocolates are the BEST chocolates I've ever had... that's a complete understatement. I've had the pleasure of knowing Albert for almost 7 years, and I can undoubtably say I'm a customer for LIFE! I started buying his products when he was only doing cake pops. Now he's expanded and evolved into this new kind of chocolate world... and just when you thought he's reached the top, guess again! Everything Albert had me try, when describing it felt like a love note to his customers. The joy, passion and detailed he portrayed in giving me every single sample could be felt in his description. Had the most amazing chocolate experience at Chef Albert's chocolate lab. He worked with me to plan a private class for a group of 4. We entered his chocolate lab and got the full red carpet treatment. Learned so much about the process of making chocolate, got super hands on tempering and making chocolate bon bons. These were far superior, melt in your mouth high quality ingredient chocolates. Chef Albert is such a sweetheart, friendly, thoughtful, generous with his time, samples and tastings. Chef Albert has amazing, artisanal, delicious chocolate that is also beautiful to look at. I first tasted his chocolate at an event in Pasadena and after devouring my 9 piece sample box, I had to order more for my husband and friends. We were lucky enough to get to talk with him a bit when we were picking up our orders and you can tell how deeply passionate he is about his craft. Everything I have tried so far is delicious. I highly recommend the Chocolate Dubai, espresso and marshmallow. Everything was great though. I can't wait to dive into my new purchases. read more

I ordered some chocolates and pates de fruit for a gift, so I can't comment on the items themselves, but Albert's customer service was the best I have ever encountered, for any size of business. I called to place the order, and spoke with Chef Albert himself. Although it was just a small order, her treated me as if I was placing a huge order, and was so kind, patient and generous with his time, I couldn't believe it. Albert is an amazing chocolatier and person. He went out of his way to show me his workshop is short notice the eve of Easter. He assembled variety boxes with the most decadent and beautiful chocolates I've ever seen. Met Albert (the owner) at the door front of his business in Los Angeles downtown. Was there with my daughter to pick up a box of chocolates that she had ordered. He came and delivered the order plus some cookies as gifts. Things got really interesting when he started giving instructions on how to enjoy his cookies the most. I offered him some more business and he offered us a tour inside his live/ work/ create - all in one space. I was impressed with three things- the way the place was set up was perfect for all three purposes. Secondly, the quality, the taste and the varieties of chocolates that Albert created were amazing. Third and the most important, his willingness to fight the odds of life and do something very creative and interesting to him where he can devote his 100%. I listened to his story of last 5-6 years and got mesmerized what a human can do with hard work, dedication and positive attitude. His chocolates, other confectionery are high in taste, finesse, packaging and presentation. His awards and videos all speak about it. My purchase earned accolades from someone that loves great chocolates. Wish you great success and a great life, Albert. I've made multiple purchases from Albert's Petite Sweets but I'm really impressed with my most recent Christmas purchases. The craft that goes into each one is impressive, as is the flavor. Really more like a tender morsel of cake in texture and taste and not overwhelming gangbusters sweet. Other sites list the farmers schedules where Ladie Kakes can be found. I will be seeking those butterscotch brownies and what else might be offered. While not a fan of this type of plastic used for packaging, if it is used to keep the products fresh, it does that job very well. The owner's story seems an interesting one and deserves encouragement. Good luck to this local business!

Why have Holey Grail Donuts when you can have Frosted Cupcakery instead?!…read more Okay, that might be quite the low blow considering that Holey Grail Donuts recently closed for good here in Long Beach, but Frosted Cupcakery seems to have withstood the test of time for ~20 years. Possibly a testament to how good their cupcakes really are?! So I had a Fivestars reward for a free cupcake from Frosted Cupcakery, and since I was planning an afternoon getaway by the beach, I wanted to stop by to claim my free cupcake before expiry. Frosted Cupcakery is located in Belmont Shore two doors east of where Holey Grail Donuts used to be. If you're still not sure where that is, it's on 2nd St about a couple blocks east of the intersection with Livingston. They had a bunch of different flavors to choose from, but the Royal White Cookie Butter cupcake piqued my interest since it sounded like a winning combo that was hard to beat. I asked the employee to describe what it was, and once she said the words "Biscoff cookie", I was immediately sold! They had plenty of that flavor's cupcakes in stock, which kind of led me to believe it wasn't a popular flavor, but I still went with my gut instinct. The employee grabbed a Royal White Cookie Butter cupcake from the display case, placed said cupcake in a white paper bag, added a Frosted Cupcakery sticker on top, and handed it to me while wishing me a good day. I did ask her how long the cupcakes would last in the fridge, and she went to the back to ask a supervisor, giving me more time to peruse the available flavors shown in the display case. She came back shortly later to inform me that the cupcakes should remain good for about 2 to 3 days on the counter. On the way out, I also grabbed a Frosted Cupcakery card, which contains the contact info for the shop as well as the list of cupcake flavors, some of which are seasonal, gluten-free, or even vegan! The card also mentions that the cupcakes are handcrafted, likely with love. I spent a couple more hours chilling by the beach before going home to finally enjoy my cupcake. I noticed there was an unusually large see-through (grease?) spot on the side of the bag, which almost made me think it wasn't a cupcake inside the bag. When I took out the Royal White Cookie Butter cupcake from the bag, I noticed a divider between the frosting and the wrapper, which I thought was a nice touch to separate the two entities of the cupcake. However, I struggled a bit with removing the divider before taking my first bite, which was superb! The buttercream and cookie butter crumbles on top did make for a winning combo, and I wish the flavor could have been prevalent below the divider as well. However, even that flavor seemed to have dissipated after the first bite akin to an exponential decay. They have a few tables inside where you can enjoy your cupcakes with friends. However, take note of the fact that they only allow a maximum of 2 dozen cupcakes for walk-in customers; this is denoted by a sign on the display case. If you want more than 2 dozen, you'd have to place a special order, likely online, but I'm sure over the phone would work as well. Parking? Well, certainly not the easiest as it's in Belmont Shore. While there is a small parking lot directly behind the cupcake shop, I believe it's either paid parking or reserved for other businesses like Philz Coffee or F&M Bank. I had to find a spot on Livingston and walk over, which wasn't too far of a walk, but could be worse on the weekends. Overall, I liked the complimentary cupcake that I got courtesy of Fivestars, but I didn't think it was *that* good to warrant the 5th star from me. I do agree it's a great spot to order cupcakes from, especially if you're planning a day at the nearby beach!
