Happy 20-year anniversary! They managed to stand the test of time. I fondly remember when my work would order a variety of cupcakes and high-tops (smaller portion with frosting in the middle) for occasions. The cupcakes are always moist and nicely decorated. The staff were welcoming, warm, polite, and attentive. They went over the cupcakes flavors, which was great being it was our first visit. Today I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner and her wonderful presence and smile. I drive from Orange County for cupcakes here. They are all incredible! They actually taste like the flavor (unlike other cupcake shops I've tried) - strawberry actually tastes like strawberry and they have a seasonal key lime that's pretty incredible. I'm a big fan of their seasonal offerings/cupcakes of the month (check out samples on the first of the month). They are always friendly and helpful there and do their best not to sell out of popular/limited cupcakes too early (though I still recommend going early if there's a specific flavor you want). Finding a decade old 5 star review from my an old roommate as well as a glowing review from the infamous Hazel Q and numerous Elite friends were a slap in the face. FC should've been on my radar years ago! Maybe algorithms didn't work the same as they do now, but at least now I have a go to cupcake spot! Sprinkles used to be my fix when I wanted a cupcake only because they're relatively easy to find and consistent. That being said, I typically try to split a cupcake or only eat half the frosting because Sprinkles tend to be super sweet. Frosted Cupcakery is tender to the bite and although the frosting is spread generously, it is not overly sweet. Another detail I love is that FC is not greasy as I've found most Sprinkles cupcakes to be but I've always just accepted it. HOW DO THEY DO IT? My son got the mint chip which was not overly minty and paired perfectly with the chocolate cake. The strawberry cream cheese and browned butter are tied as my current favorites depending on my mood.
