I've warmed up to this Albertsons after living nearby for over a year. I'm used to their odd quirks like locking the left door (produce side) super early and not putting up any signs or hints that it's closed. Now I chuckle amusedly as I watch noobs park next to the left door thinking they got a prime spot, and then stand for a few minutes, befuddled that the door doesn't open. Gradually it dawns on them that it's locked. Chortle chortle, I laugh, oh, you rube. Knowing that was me a year ago and I was filled with rage. Now that I'm a regular, I know the layout and I can find almost anything. Except cranberry sauce. I thought it would be with canned fruits and vegetables? Finally had to ask for help, and it was there, just on the bottom shelf and mostly sold out so you couldn't see it without kneeling on the floor. Oh well - worth it! I shop at this Albertsons regularly and honestly love how easy it is to find everything I need in the store. There's a cashier named Kathy who always seems to have an attitude. Every time we've ended up in her line, she's been quick to respond in a rude or dismissive way when we ask simple questions about products or prices. It feels like any question is treated as an inconvenience, which makes checkout uncomfortable and rushed. It's frustrating because everything else about the store is fine, but repeatedly having a rough checkout experience with the same cashier really leaves a bad final impression. I hope management addresses this, because a little patience and friendliness would go a long way. read more

They don't seem to care about poor reviews but here goes. I just left and as I was checking out, I handed the checker (Bettina, very nice!) a box of Coke and told her I had three of them. She scanned them and as the dolt bag boy is packing, asks her if she got the two Cokes in the cart. So, I was basically being accused of stealing. I really dislike to change my rating to a lower star but after a long month of thinking of what my last experience. Especially w customer service. I do not remember having such a sour dry experience with Terri the cashier. Okay I get it that sometimes working w the public is a lot of work. However when, two customers greet you and even after you hand, over the change. She could not be bothered or even look at us. Homegirl looked like she was far away from happy. What ever happened to a smile? No one was wearing a mask and clearly she was over it because she did not smile or greet or nothing. So the store is clean and it smelled clean. Let me make it clear we were going to the beach, so naturally we having a fantastic day. With big smiles and giggles. My dude and I are really friendly and no we were not rude. I love the deals but showing customers how sour you can be is nothing to be proud of. Just saying customer service does matter. I will be back for the deals but read your job description or take the day off for self-care. Selfcare really matters because smiling to customers matters. Does that make sense? Albertsons is my local store so I've gotten to know many folks that work there. Anna has worked there for a while and consistently has a wide smile on her face. During the pandemic, she was working masked despite the danger she was in. I knew she always had a smile on her face. Segue to today, I needed help finding something in the lotions aisle. My vision isn't the best so I asked a random woman in a powered cart for help. She was amazing to me. Thank you random woman. You made a difference today! Hello, my name is Latasha and I and my family comes to the store a whole lot the workers that work at this store is very horrible. Their attitudes are horrible and when speaking to the cashiers with a smile on your face they act like they don't want to speak most of the time. In December they had a fundraiser going on and I was asked if I will like to donate and I said no because I donated already the cashier got upset and shake her head. Myself and family will stop shopping at this locations because of it all. Me and my family won't be shopping at this Albertson because of these issue. We change our store to do shopping to the Ralph's on Warner st.I went to the store to buy items for my older son his sick and has the flu. The items I bought was orange juice, bread, soup, ginger ale, honey, crackers. I asked question but was not answer. Got to the line put items up got to the cashier with a smile and the same thing happening also I know what I got. Got home and why did the cashier sneaked in put a grape juice in my purchase that I never got.Was very upset and said to myself and family we won't be shopping their. She knew I didn't get that item there should been no reason for that juice to be in my bag. I knew what I got period. Didn't 'return back to take the item back due to my knee is very swollen that I can't really walk on it. Also try to use the chair's but both of them don't work. I want to say that I live within walking distance of this store and DO NOT understand the low rating. Most of the checkers here have been working for over 10 years at least. I know all these girls, their weird personality quirks, etc., probably what is affecting this rating. This is a GREAT store. I just went in today and Harrison helped me, clearly a newer and younger member of this location. He was so sweet and helpful, offering real conversation (no, how's the weather CRAP), and was very customer-service oriented. The managers seem to come and go at this location but the REAL people who assist you, check prices, and live REAL lives outside of Albertson's are still there. This store does not enforce mask policy despite numerous variants of coronavirus being discovered and our death numbers rising. A man had a scarf around his neck, all he had to do was pull it over his nose and mouth and Kathy didn't do anything. When it was my turn to pay, she said to me "I told him to wear a mask and he yelled at me, in case you were wondering about that." So you make someone leave if they don't comply. Simple. As an essential food worker all of 2020, I had my share of anti-maskers and they weren't served. This customer at Albertsons was allowed to enter, shop and pay with a bare face, clearing his throat a few times in line. There is additional staff and security at this market, no reason to not enforce the policy and keep us safe. Unsafe location to be at a pandemic. Will never return and will advise friends and family the same. read more

This is my favorite Albertsons location from among Westminster to all of HB to fountain valley, this location hands down has THE most personable and friendly staff, is so well managed, friendly, and even has a pharmacy. For being a tad bit smaller sized than neighboring Albertsons stores, it still carries and stocks everything, has a good bakery, deli and butcher, but again, the staff is what makes it. They are a superb team (from cashiers Paige and Gwen to Steve the manager); very nice and helpful people. read more

I have lived across the street for 24 years . I stopped going there about 5-6 years ago !!! I have to drive to Vons . The price gouging in this store started when this New manger came . I have came in for. Sale item and get to the register and it rings wrong . So many times that I just can't keep getting ripped off. A month ago I wanted these cookies called black and white . I said to myself screw it I'm just going to get these across the street they have to be priced right since actually they come from another bakery they have the price sticker on them . So I get them . I go home getting ready to throw my receipt away and I glance at it!!!!! Well guess what cookies price tag said $4,99 well guess what again. I was charged !!!!!!! I was charged $6.99 now remember I have not gone there in years for same reason!!!!! It's never ends in this store they are ripping people off daily !! I'm going to give you a very good example. Of another reason why I do not shop there this is actually how it all started. I went in for butter lettuce that was on sale. I went to the produce section to grab it. I noticed the price tag sticker whatever you call it. that's on the front not the Price that was on sale so I asked the produce Guy what's going on? The price is not right? He said don't worry about it when you get to the register tell him what the price is and they'll give it to you for the right price. I said are you going to change it???? it's in the middle of the week. It's been on sale for half a week already. He said he would change it. so just to find out how they love to rip people off I decided to go back the next day to see if the price had changed. The price had not changed. He did not fix the sticker so I went to the manager and explained what was going on they said they would handle it. This store is out of control and I saw on the news the other day that they are getting down on Albertsons and Vons for price gouging for not fixing their sell prices which they should be doing. This is actually robbery and I'm actually thinking about talking to lawyer about it because I'm so over it. Again, this is my market right across the street and I have to drive to Vons because they have the right prices and Albertson's does not. And this has been like this since the new manager came probably about five or six years ago or maybe even longer I'm not even sure anymore. I still live across the street. About a month ago the fried chicken was on sale. I told my family I'm just gonna run across the street and get it. My husband said are you sure you want to go there? I said they can't hurt fried chicken. It was probably 11:30. in the afternoon when I came inside there was no fried chicken and I was told they haven't started it yet. 1130 in the afternoon on a day that it's on sale. The store is out of control. Someone needs to do something about it I have written the CEO and have not heard back, I have written the TV station and have not heard back, but I'm going to keep trying until something changes if Albertsons would like to contact me my number is 714-292-8278 . This one star is not for the grocery store staff. They are all awesome, very kind and very helpful. Please keep up the great work!! This is for the 'pharmacist' (would say PharmD but not sure she owns that) working the counter today. I needed a Rx filled 5 days early because I'm going on a business trip tomorrow for 2 weeks. She wouldn't do it, claiming it would be 'breaking the law'. Total lie. I challenged her and she actually said, 'You dare to challenge me, a professional?' with a very snarky attitude. Well, what this fool didn't know nor take the time to find out was that I went to pharmacy school and have been working in Sr. Management in Pharma for 30 years. Needless to say, the convo went downhill from there. And of course I'll be reporting this gem to top management as well. Horrible customer service and worse, awful HCP. She needs to take some classes in how to be kind to others!!! Go to any other pharmacy but keep buying your groceries here!! read more

She said she didnt know how although I was logged into my albertsons account. I downloaded the app outside and clipped the coupon again on the app, and came back inside, then I was told they put my chicken back after 5 minutes. Nice morning obviously the manager cares about his business everything is clean and Albertson's like parking was great and mind you I was there Sunday morning at about 8 AM and everything just looks good they really present their food well the one thing I did find funny was the guy at the deli counter was pouring the shrimp out of the bag that's available in the frozen food section for about the same price which is cute because every time I've ever bought any seafood out of the deli counter at envisioned in coming in straight from the net from the pacific. The cashier Terri hasn't smiled at me EVER! she barely acknowledges me, and it's mostly one word communication. Today, I walked up. Instead of morning, sir, she asked her coworker a question and then ordered me to a different register. Then, at that register, she says bags? Even the milk? I usually ignore people who seem to not like their job, but as a retail store manager, I find her behavior to be less than acceptable. The store manager her ALWAYS greets you and is NOT a reflection of this review. In all the years I've shopped here, she has never been remotely cordial. I feel like she makes this Albertsons a destination not to shop. Many times, I've gone elsewhere, driven farther, just to avoid the rudeness. I live close and can't afford to do this anymore, so I guess I'll have to put up with it. The kids you have at the register are informative and welcoming. Not Terri. I hate to write a negative review since this is the supermarket I've gone to over the past 18 years, but man today was it. Albertsons got rid of the self check out line years ago and I'm fine with that but the staff working there is monotone, unfriendly, and just slow and not connecting with anyone. I hate writing this, bit I feel it's necessary for the management to take note and notice. Also pricing for meat is ridiculous, considering it's not even fresh. I can go to Vons, Ralph's, or even a Mexican supermarket with fresher meat. I can live with the higher pricing, but not lower quality, and especially not with the bad customer service. Not sure if the cashier girl was just having a bad day, but she just had negative body language and when she was scanning the food, she left it on the same place on the conveyor belt instead of moving it over, so the conveyor belt can move forward, and move the line along quicker. read more

LOL never thought I'd have to write a review on what I would have thought was your average Joe of a grocery store that provides an average Joe experience but le sigh. Such was not the case at this location. This store made your Average Joe grocery store look like paradise. I got silver #2 and #4 balloons blown up here but it took like 20 + minutes just for the two balloons to be blown up. The woman who blew them up ended up letting go of one of the balloons and instead of blowing up a new one for me (who's in a rush) she and about 3 other people had to get it down. Once it was down, she took forever to tie the strings on and they weren't even secured properly. The balloon stopper became untied as soon as I got out of my car to the event I was going to. Luckily they didn't fly away BUT at the end of the event, #4 blew away. It wasn't where the stopper was tied so it wasn't my tying skills that caused this. Where the ballon ends and the string began is where the string became undone. So it was the lady at Albertsons fault. I'm so annoyed because those balloons were $20.00! read more

Jolyn is a very aggressive and harassing cashier even when she is shopping after her shift, I would consider her very unprofessional and even likes to curse and regular customers. Paige and all of the other ladies that work there are very nice, especially the black lady she is so nice I feel bad I don't know her name but she is always smiling and saying hello to everyone. This is for the pharmacy. My mom got her pain meds refilled the other day. As soon as she got home, she noticed an entire week's worth was missing. She let them know and they told her to see the manager that Saturday. The manager basically tells my mom they triple check everything, there are cameras so no one could have messed with them, and my mom is a liar. When my mom asks if she can double check the security footage just in case, the manager just walks away from her. My mom came home a tearful wreck. One or two pillsI can understand, but a whole week? I counted them with her, it was like someone had taken a handful out before giving it to us. And to can my 65 year old mother a liar?! Very unprofessional! At the very least, she could have agreed to look at the footage and let us know or go over other options. read more
