3.125 stars My quest for the most delicious white cheddar popcorn continues. I've been tasting every brand of white cheddar popcorn to find the ultimate perfect one. So far SmartFood is close to perfect - nice big fluffy kernals, great cheese flavor. But it's always out of stock at Albertsons and they don't carry the brand at Ralphs. This Simple Truth that I bought today was pretty good though, especially for the sale price of $1.99/bag. I did not buy the Chickpea puffs though since that is not actually popcorn. Kind of like Pirates Booty which is corn puffs instead of popcorn. Don't be fooled!

    Expired product, inconvenient shopping experience.

Last week I bought some items and the 6pk of Pepsi Zero was expired, and that happened with other items in the pass. I used the curbside pick up. Today I went for 2 items only, toothpaste and an apple. Now with the cage inside of the store, I had to get inline to pay for the toothpaste and since their cash register doesn't have scale for produce I had to get a second line to pay for one apple. Smart & Final and Albertsons have much better prices and more convenient set up to shop.

Their bakery is my go-to for kids parties now. I love the people working there and have only had good experiences with them! I ordered a dozen mermaid themed cupcakes for my daughter's 4th birthday party at school and also three dozen cupcakes for her actual party the next day. I chose the whipped frosting with half vanilla and half chocolate. I asked if they can do a swirl of teal purple and pink to make it look like a mermaid theme and when I picked up the first dozen for her school party, I was blown away by the detail and cuteness of the cupcakes. They added these mermaid tail rings and sprinkles to match and they were beyond what I expected. I loved them so much, and my daughter freaked out with excitement. I'm excited to pick up my three dozen tomorrow! I don't know who decorated these cupcakes, but I want say thank you to the entire team! These are not only cute, but definitely affordable. It's about $10/dozen. They nailed it!

It's no secret, Ralph's is my favorite store when visiting my daughter. My daughter and I absolutely love exploring and shopping here. The store is brightly lit and the aisles seem a little wider. It is well organized & stocked - we always find the items we need and more! We absolutely love their selection of organic food and gluten-free options. For people that have food allergies & are gluten-sensitive this is the perfect store - it has lots of options. With food sensitivities, it's better to cook at home that way you know all the ingredients are gluten free and Ralph's it's well stocked with gluten free products for our meals. Our favorite is their organic fresh produce section at affordable prices. Always on our groceries list are their organic fruits like the papaya, blueberries, strawberries, oranges are great for fresh juicing and fresh smoothies. Also, their ready to-go organic cooked rotisserie Chicken - can be sheddered and added to chicken broth. Yes, we get lots of other non gluten free food for me here as well. We're a fan of the company's display set ups to showcase their products like Perrier water, wine display, Hershey chocolates displays, just to mention a few. The big difference here is that All their employees are always super attentive and helpful. Sign up for their Ralph's rewards and for member savings and their digital coupons to get an even more awesome bigger savings. Happy shopping!

There is sufficient disabled parking at both parking lots. I was so caught up on the place, I forgot to take pictures. The store itself is smaller if you compare it with places like Shun Fat Westminster Superstore or Hòa Bình supermarket. There is only one checkout counter and the staff all seem to be Vietnamese. After walking around, they pretty much have all the basics covered. The focus is Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ingredients and sauces. They have their own seafood and meat counter with number tags where you can ask them to clean or cut fish, plus a small deli to go section. I also noticed their delivery vehicle outside that says wholesale, so it seems like they also supply restaurants in the area. Overall it feels like a neighborhood market that also does some wholesale business. The fresh section looked clean and there was no strong smell. I happened to see ground pork on sale for $2.49 per pound. The regular price was $2.79. Of course I had just paid $3.99 per pound earlier that day at 99 Ranch in Irvine because I wanted convenience. While we were there, a Vietnamese lady next to us was buying a big pile of meat and seafood and chatting with us while waiting for it to be cut. She said she always shops here. She ended up buying the last of the ground pork in the display. We asked if there was any left and the butcher said he had more in the back, so we immediately decided to grab two pounds. I think this place is perfect if you do not want to push a cart around a huge store and just need to pick up a few items quickly. They are open until 8pm. Next time I have more time I will come back and explore a bit more to see what other interesting things they carry. Inside, it has a decent selection of items. I didn't notice that usual strong fishy smell you sometimes get in Vietnamese markets from seafood or raw meat, so it felt fairly clean and well maintained. Seafood and meats looked fresh, but prices are higher compared to other Asian markets. The produce section looked fresh as well, just on the expensive side. There is a small prepared food section in the front for quick takeout. Even with the higher prices, it's still a convenient place to shop. Not too big, easy to get in and out, and you can find most basic things you need.

Some items can be a bit overpriced, but the fruits and vegetables are definitely worth buying - they taste like they're straight from the garden. The downside is that you should be careful while choosing berries - sometimes there can be mold (though this can happen in any store). And that there's a credit card processing fee. However, despite a few drawbacks, I'm giving it 5 stars because their business is really valuable, and I wish them continued success and prosperity. I definitely recommend stopping by - there are always many interesting and tasty things to find at affordable prices. The cashiers are also very kind and friendly, thanks for the service!

The grocery is good for what to expect for any Asian market but the main attraction is the food court. It may not seem like much but all of them are really good and would fill up your hunger instantly. My favorites from the top of my head are the Katsu Don if I remember correctly and the Udon section where you pick your tempura (don't know the exact name). Overall good place to eat lunch or even dinner. Another problem would be finding a seat since there's hardly any tables and your plate is pretty big and bowls are heavy so you have to be somewhat quick to find a seat. The ambiance is fine but that's kind of to be expect in any supermarket, which is usually crowds talking and all. I really don't have much to say. Ever since this place closed down the anime shop, the DVD store, and bookstore, this place pretty much lost what made Mitsuwa special and worth visiting. Especially for someone who's into both anime and tokusatsu like Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers). Those places are what got me my first Gundam model kit (Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed) and my go to place for Japanese DVDs as mentioned (Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and Nanoha). I understand why they close down these stores, especially with streaming services and online shopping are a thing, even though I don't fully agree as they are customers like me that would prefer in-store physical copies. That is why I deduct one star. These are replaces with a gachapon store, a Matcha store, a Boba store I believe and Daiso. The matcha and boba place (forgot the names sorry) are surprisingly good. I really like the matcha ice cream in a bowl and I believe the Doncha. The gachapon I cannot say as I never spend money there and I'm not into these gacha machines and I rarely buy anything in Daiso as its just your typical convenience store that sells some Japanese stuff so I won't say much. In conclusion, it's a very nice spot to eat Japanese meals and especially something to fill you up for the day while also shopping to buy Japanese food to cook at home. Just be aware this is pretty pricey, especially the Royce matcha chocolates and the food court.
