We usually shop at Ralphs, especially when I need my almond milk and oat milk replenished. Yes, I drink both of them daily. I mix them, half and half of each to create my "special blend" coffee. We got four (4) of them tonight with our grocery. I use these milk's instead of water to make my coffee in the morning and it is so good (taste and health wise). Ralph's has good prices on these milk when they put them on sale every few weeks. But this review is for the Supervisor at the self-checkout. He is always so nice and helps us out when there are issues with our purchases. I forget to look at his name tag earlier but it's the gentleman with dark (almost black) and curly hair. Always has a smile when dealing with customers. I'll check his name tag next time we're in the store. :) The store is always nice and clean and well-stocked. read more

This Ralphs was so ready for mother's day...Very beautiful briquettes, cute bears and balloons, and overall beautiful decoration that change my whole mode...the shelves were well organized and well stocked. The employees were welcoming and helpful..They have a bog area for warm and cold food and also deli...Decent area for veggies and fruits, meat, fish, chicken and etc...The store was perfectly priced...I love when there is no missing tags...It ease the shopping...The store itself was clean...I also bought avocados and recently The avocado that I'm buying comes ripe but for this Ralphs even though i paid $6 for two but it did worth it...Very delicious...the most important thing that the store had employees so i wasnt lost...there is also parking lot outside...Overall, great experience... read more

My fiancée and I came to Ralphs late at night specifically to buy baby formula. The store was doing floor work, which wasn't really my issue. The problem was that the formula we needed was locked up, and an employee who was standing right there refused to help us get it. The formula was clearly visible and easily accessible to staff, but instead of assisting us, we were essentially told no because of the area being partially blocked off. As parents trying to buy an essential item for our baby, that was incredibly frustrating. I understand stores have policies and construction projects, but when a customer needs baby formula and an employee could easily retrieve it, refusing to help is poor customer service. We left feeling like helping customers was less important than avoiding a minor inconvenience. If you're going to keep a store open during maintenance, employees should still be willing and able to help customers access essential items. read more

Never fails, this is the world's worst Ralphs and Instacart is a joke. Supposed to have delivery between 8:00 - 10:00 am, 10 minutes after 10:00 am this is the response I get for the delivery person: I apologize for the delay. I had some problems with my stomach. It hurt. I was a little late, and I will be with you in 20-30 minutes. 45 minutes later we finally received our order. That's not the worst of it, when ordering delivery you have to pay for the Tip upfront. What a scam! I would give a Zero if I could. read more

Wow! I went in today to get some ingredients to make my dog homemade food. I got the ground turkey and by the time I got to check out, I caught a whiff of the horrible smell coming from the meat. After telling the guy I didn't want it because it smelled horrible and then he asked are you sure you don't want it? The store is clean and, in general, the prices are reasonable. I have found some employees to be courteous and helpful but others not so much. The area most in need of improvement is the deli. Too often I have waited (first in line or the only customer waiting) "way too long" as deli workers glanced at me then passed by busy with other tasks. On my last visit, waiting and waiting to be helped with a sliced turkey and roast beef order, I finally left deciding to make my purchase at another store. I have shopped here 2 or three times a month primarily because it is close to my house. Recently I have begun to think that driving to another store, would be a more enjoyable experience. read more

I am often overcharged for items advertised with a posted sale price, so I decided to try this Ralph's location instead. I am completely disappointed in their lack of staff to help me when I was overcharged on deli meat. I also have noticed at all the Ralph's I have shopped recently, that I am charged for more bags than they use. Now that the bags are paper, when they are overstuffed, the bag handle rips, which happened tonight. I can only assume other customers are overcharged as well. I have been a loyal customer since the 80's. Now I am so disappointed that I will not go back! I told my husband to stop shopping there also. read more

Came in for a snack at the Hot bar and Sandra was so wonderful. She was personable, gave a good recommendation and a delight to be around. Pretty sure she's made a quick stop at the hot bar my new tradition as I enter Laguna. Got some wings and wedges. Overall tasty and hit the spot, but certain wings and sides definitely tasted fresher than others. Will def be back! read more

Did I just get yelled at by a store employee??? I was at this location doing some shopping and on my way out, I grabbed a newspaper when suddenly an employee came out yelling at me. The newspaper shelves were not labeled AT ALL with prices anywhere that I can see I would have appreciated NOT being yelled at in public and it would have been better Customer Service to calmly explain to me that the newspapers costs money (which I did not know) and to take them to the counter or cashier for prices. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Lost a beautiful bracelet, maybe in the store - maybe in the parking lot. Completely unsure of where I lost it but once aware of it missing from my wrist went back to look for it. Did I lose it at self-check? Did I lose it in the aisles? Did I lose it in the lot? Who knows but I could not find it. Nor had anyone turned it in. The circus act that went on from there defies imagination or description! Let me just say I had no real hope of finding my bracelet and after having looked around I could see none of its remnants. Told the lovely lady working the self-check about it and was prepared to leave the store when one of the cashiers turned away from her customer TO my direction to say that she may have seen something but threw it in the trash... YES! You are reading this correctly! "Was it a bracelet?" Unintelligible answer "Was it a pearl bracelet?" Unintelligible answer repeated. No one NO ONE in the store was bothered by this conduct NO ONE asked the cashier what the hell she saw or threw out - it was absolutely infuriating! Now I'm asking for directions to the trash can and for gloves to go thru the trash!!!No one could be bothered to ask this cashier what she actually saw OR why she would have tossed it!! I asked for a manager and proceeded to the trash can in the produce department where this employee tossed her sweepings. Outrageous!! The lovely Assistant Store manager and I tore through the trash can looking for nothing that existed! I was beyond upset and disgusted that we were going thru garbage instead of speaking to this cashier directly about what she saw. It was like a train wreck in slow motion! I left thoroughly disgusted! Days later I called the Store Manager, Kathy, who took no interest in the matter when she heard about from her own staff, but she apologized for the situation and offered to call in a Team to look it all up on surveillance footage. It was nothing but a sh*t show from there and because I walked out with another similar bracelet, I was accused of, not only, fabricating the loss but also of having accused her employees of stealing from me!!! You can see me on camera asking the employee, a few times, what type of "trinket" she saw/trashed but to please point in the general direction of where she trashed it! As I said, it defies both imagination AND description. Me accuse someone of stealing it from me?? OUTRAGEOUS! I lost it. It was my fault. I blamed no one I just didn't understand what this cashier was trying to tell me! Rookies and total amateurs running this show! The only good thing to report is the lovely and very kind assistant manager who's name, I believe, is Espy, who took the time sifting through produce and garbage with me only to find zero evidence of any lost treasure, even in the vaguest "one persons trash is another person's treasure" scenario! I told Espy I really didn't understand the trashing of a beautiful bracelet and that it would sooner go into a pocket than into a trash can...and that looking for it in trash felt false and utterly humiliating. No argument could be made here. Just a total nightmare! One thing to lose a valuable, sentimental bracelet, but it's quite another thing, entirely, to be treated so disgracefully!!! By a "store manager" nonetheless! DISGUSTING APPALLING DESPICABLE Three calls to their 800 number got me absolutely nowhere because no one cared. This is merely for the cashiers. They should really greet you and tell you how much you owE at the end of your transaction. I usually don't mind but I'd appreciate knowing how much I'm paying... they usually just scan everything and remain silent. Cashiers need to be more personable. At least with a greeting. To preface this review: I'm lazy like the rest of you. Yes, you. The one who chooses to read reviews for a grocery store rather than muster up the courage to actually get out of the house and complete the painstaking challenge of perusing aisles, budgeting ( or maybe not if you got it like that ), and getting past the overwhelming thought of someone invading your personal space bubble to grab the double frosted Kaliedos or even try to small talk you. When I initially moved back to my hometown I was consistently buying all of my necessities from Amazon and Amazon Fresh. I couldn't stand how Amazon Fresh could never ever deliver me a 100% accurate and complete order... there was always the wrong item ( hello, I said no substitutions duh! ), something completely melted to the point of it being an inedible joke, the item completely missing, or delivering my huge order to my neighbor. Sure, receiving a full refund for the order is cool, but what am I going to eat ? This is where Ralph's came in, my neighborhood grocery. I truly believe shopping at my neighborhood grocery store, albeit a chain, it is still what keeps Amazon from taking over my beloved town. I enjoy the people who work there ( Hey, Alex! Buds since 1996 ) and I know I can get what I need whilst helping some real cool people keep their deserved jobs. I can get my entire list picked out and paid for through self checkout within minutes , and I'm never met with a rude employee... everyone there, even the guys stocking the shelves, meets me with a smile (especially the crew that works at my favorite shop time of 12:45 a.m. ) I must add I tried their grocery pickup and my order was 100% accurate and with all discounts added to my total. I didn't even wait 3 minutes for a young lady to bring my stuff out to my car and even place it in the trunk for me. I didn't have to put on my shoes because all was taken care of and not a single mistake was made. A really awesome service for the times I have a playdate with my two very young nieces. Give your local store a chance, friends. That Kroger dude didn't even give them the extra hourly pay everyone else was getting to work with the public at the height of the pandemic, and those employees are still there for 9-plus hours on their feet to help you with the daunting task of grocery shopping. So much more convenient than Amazon Fresh, because Amazon can't even deliver you what you order when you need it most. read more

I've been grabbing my lunches here for over a year now and they are always so welcoming and helpful. If you don't see anything that you'd like out on display you can ask Yumi to make it for you and she will remember what you like to order too. The grocery store sushi is above average and you get a lot of value in the price for amount of food. Not sure if all Ralph's are setup with the same selection, but it seemed the quality wasn't up to par. Additionally, the aisles of the store were very narrow and when its crowded to very difficult to get through. Had to talk to a "specific person" who wasn't there per Andy, Store Manager. If you as a larger corporation can't service customers who paid in full for items (that have not been given to the customer due to Kroger/Ralphs mistake), then cannot provide those items because the "pick-up" staff have left for the day--then don't offer the pick-up option. I just wanted to take time to recognize Sharon from the deli department. She was absolutely kind, courteous and professional during our visit recently. She even took time to acknowledge my 5 year old son and offered him a sample of some meat and cheese to try that she already had sliced. She put a smile on his face and mine. Ralphs isone of my favorite grocery store chains to shop at. Service is always friendly, and I love their manager specials and clearance section located in the back of the store. You never know what you'll find there. Prices are on par with other grocery stores, but if you stop seasonally and watch out for specials there are some great deals to be found. The employees here are insane we had not stole anything but a lady was behind my car taking photos of my license plate when I got out to to see what's going on she was yelling at me saying we stole something being super disrespectful I took our bag inside and the receipt and was telling her to get her manager because we had not stole a thing and never would i told them there's cameras why don't you pull it up and show me I have ebt so it wouldn't make any sense to steal she cussed me and ran away when she figured out she messed up there was a teen girl that works there she saw us checkout and pay but chose to say nothing when I told her to tell them she saw us pay and checkout anyways the manager came and apologized but that's no way to treat a customer that has been going there for 5 years. I've been a Laguna Niguel resident for over 45 years. My friend was visiting and had purchased cherries that needed to be replaced. In trying to return them 2 of your employees called my friend rude. This review is solely for the deli section of this store. Is working this counter so abhorrent that I never see a smiling or welcoming face? It's gotten worse with Kevin manning this section. I shop at this store at least twice a week and get sliced cold meats and the treatment I get is colder than the refrigerated deli case. Staring at Kevin's cold shoulders for 3-5 minutes without a hello or I'll be with you shortly is unacceptable. Just recently I went there past 7pm and a customer was already waiting staring at Kevin's back. I waited with this customer for at least 3 minutes before Kevin even acknowledged his presence only to tell the guy the deli is closed. I understand they're closed so I walked away but to treat the guy before me like s$&t was... WOW! Kevin needn't be fired, just trained properly in customer service. Used to love this Ralph's. The cashiers were all nice as were the behind the counter help in the deli and bakery sections. It was great going in and seeing a friendly face several times a week. Seems like now they are doing away with the majority of employees and going to mostly machines for check out which I think is really sad. The last time I was in they had one cashier open and 12 machines for self service. And the lunch meat counter is trying extremely hard (to the point of being rude) to push the pre-cut meats. At 10+ a pound for Boars Head who the hell wants to take a chance that the meat has been sitting for a couple days? May be the way of the future but for now there are still choices out there so I am going to go in search of a market that still believes in customer service.... read more

Yes, I hate grocery stores. Why? I have chronic lower back pain, and entering a large store creates a pit in my stomach the size of Home Depot because it will ruin my whole day. Today my son and I patronized this place because we have recently moved to this area. Overall, the store is clean, nice and well-laid out. The problem came at the end where we literally had one thing left on the list, and my back was DONE. I asked my son to take a lap around the store. I sat down on a small ledge on the refrigerated floral case. I just sat there holding onto my cart to take further pressure off of my back. There are no chairs to sit on, and this is a constant problem for me. Anyway, a store employee came up to me and asked if I was ok, and I said yes, I just have a bad back. I stopped in here over the weekend and was looking for some veggies for a BBQ, and a few other items. The vegetables were slim pickings for what I was looking for... Zucchini, Squash, Large Mushrooms... and staff was having an odd conversation near what looked like an entrance to an office off the produce section. A woman, who ended up bagging my groceries, was complaining about something that a customer ordered and didnt want any longer to what looked like a manager (in a button down shirt). There were so many better places for her to complain than the middle of customers, in my opinion. I also looked for some turkey patties, and the meat had a gray color in many places to it, which... doesnt seem normal to me at all. I was in many of the "about 15" items or less lines, with only two people in front of me, and it took FOREVER. The man in front of me had ONE item. The reason it took so long? Because the employees were so busy discussing their personal lives, they didnt have the time to do their job. The first person in line ahead of me had a full discussion with the cashier about a surgery the cashier had, I believe on her wrist. I really was trying not to pay attention as I was super annoyed. The conversation continued briefly with the man in front of me. At this point you hear, "Threes a crowd" on the intercom... but if the employees would just check people out, there probably wouldnt be a need for additional backup. When my turn came, the cashier and the bagger, the woman from the produce department conversation earlier, were discussing the baggers grandfather and his lack of drinking water and was he ok, and purchasing chips that werent for him, but his wife... all while the cashier slowly, if at all, rang up my groceries. It was seriously a joke. Im being extremely generous with my rating here, but this store should really focus on ringing customers up, not discussing their personal lives with each other, and keep it away from your customers. I wont return, as this is not in my normal path of travel, and it just wasnt a great experience overall. read more

Try to buy chicken at Deli counter at Ralph 6 times now and they inform me we are unable to cook more, under staff.

I am a regular shopper at Ralph's at Crown Pkwy in Laguna Miguel. Why? Because the employees there are consistant as well. They are always smiling, always ready to help you, always neat, clean,,friendly, and consistantly trying to make our shopping experience a very good one. Today, while I was getting coffee at the coffee bar next to the Deli, I smelled something tasty and delectable. The Deli worker, who greeted me each day with a pleasant smile, was making a fresh batch of Sushi for the Deli bar, which she informed me she did each day. I told her I would be back shortly, for the final product. When I returned,she had saved me a container of the freshly made delicacy, put a sales sticker on it, and happily handed it to me. It was another consistency in friendly customer service, that made my day. Thank you Ralph's for consistantly making our shopping experience, a better one. read more

A little update: In regards to this Ralph's my review is the same, but in regards to OC workers, my apologies! After living here for another few years, I never came back to that particular Ralph's, but since then I never experienced stores closing earlier than advertised hours, that would include Costco, all other Ralph's, CVS, El Pollo Loco, Panda Express, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Chick Fil-A, In-N-Out, Pho the Bowl, i20 Ramen, numerous businesses at Mission Viejo mall, and other local stores and restaurants. So for the to-go food, pharmacy, groceries and the local mall I wasn't ever again turned down if I came during the advertised hours. Dental or medical offices might be different, but the workers at essential businesses are GREAT in OC, thank you for your great service and kindness!! :) This is not directly relevant to the review, but I had to apologize to the OC workers and also give them praise, credit and my gratitude where it's due.
