I opted for a breakfast burrito which was made with quality ingredients. The burrito tasted clean, non-greasy and filling. I totally understand why they closed the cafe with the cost of labor and overhead increasing. The new set up is self-service and they still offer a good size dining area and free wifi so you can enjoy a meal or beverage.

Of course as most places in the desert, there's also loads of parking. Another location that's part of a mini strip mall. Plenty of parking and quite maintained with the traffic. I maybe eat my words later on depending on day and time of next visit....lol... Of course at the entrance, a nice little area with all the potted plants. There was a good amount compared to the other locations I've been too. Not sure but I think all the locations get new shipments with plants quite often. The store itself is a pretty decent size and the isle is pretty wide so it makes it easier maneuvering with other shoppers and the carts. Everything that I came for were all in stocked which is great. Didn't have to ask any of the sales associates if anything was in the back. Layout is pretty much similar to all the other stores give or take its reverse when you walk in. Overall, another great location with everything is stocked. Amazing staff and friendly service.

Looked up another high end market in Palm Desert and found Jensen's. Spoke with Alex in the meat Department, and explained my needs for the finest Ahi Tuna and Pacific Halibut. He said, not a problem and it would be in the next day. Went in the next day to pick it up and Alex was there. I wanted to look to make sure, but instead asked him if it looked great. He said, "It looks awesome!" And I walked. Fast forward to the end of the story...it was awesome! Thank you Alex and Jensen's for making it happen. Will not hesitate to come back when in town.

Also, beef ribs are extremely hard to find and they only have them if they get a shipment prior to bbq days so you need to call first. It was absolutely packed at 11:30 on a Saturday. We are only used to the Jewish version at Sherman's deli and these were just terrible. I give them one star. While standing in line, I realize there's no menu on the wall like they used to be. So I walked towards the front of the line to read the menu and everybody there. I thought I was trying to cut them which almost started an argument with the other people in line. I wasn't trying to cut. I was trying to read the damn menu. This is the stupidest setup that I've ever seen for an order menu. When that person was done, I picked up the menu so I could view it closer as I do not have my singing glasses with me and the menu was tiny little print out of a regular printer. So then the next guy started freaking out like I was trying to cut in line. The people here on this valley (many foreigners) are too stupid for you to have your menus like this. You need to put them back up on the wall. Or else have several of them so that people standing in line can see what they want to order before they get up to the order window. Why would you take down your menu off the wall and replace it with a tacky piece of paper with a three dollar menu stand? I don't know it just seems like it's an awful confusing mess right now. All these people in the photo are trying to take turns looking at that menu. Everybody's cutting in front of each other to try to see it. I can't believe your employees haven't said something. You seriously need to fix this.

Parking is ample, but they can get busy, and in 110+ degree heat, nobody wants to walk that far to/from the front door. I'm also not a fan of blocking and/or locking one set of doors at night. (I thought that was illegal when the store is open?) I get that it's for safety, but it's annoying when you're unfamiliar with the layout, and all they do is place random signage or carts to block it.

This Albertson's was convenient on our way back from dinner, and we ended up buying a lot more than anticipated. Even though it is a sister store of Von's, it still required us to download the Albertson app to be able to get the savings from digital coupons. We ended up using the store Wi-Fi, and everything applied correctly. The gentleman behind the meat/seafood counter was friendly, and provided us good choices in various meats. Now it's just a matter of finishing everything before we have to go back home.

This location has great bathrooms to use before getting back onto the freeway. The store only accepts debit cards or cash, so they won't get you into debt. No need to finance your next meal.
