Although this store is 5 mi from where I live, and there are two other stores I can visit on the way to this Albertson, I really enjoy going there because of the Meat Department. The staff in the meat department is great and they are always patient with me when I'm trying to figure out what meat I want to purchase. The Bakery dept is also great and friendly. As far as the Cashier's and Customer service, I do think they are okay but maybe they need to be more patient with some of their customers. Maybe they are overworked and underpaid. read more

the WORST Albertsons ever!! I dont even know where to begin with this particular store and location. Ive gone multiple times because i lived close by. But every trip i made it just got worse and worse. Seems like all the employees there hate their lives and their job so its practically written on their faces and when youre greeted (if you even are). There is most definitely always a LONG line with only one checker, so i am always using the self checkout lines (even when i have a lot of groceries). No joke everytime i look around theres always workers walking around like not doing anything to help.. and i go in the mornings, so i know for the most part its not like ppl took their lunch breaks or something to not have helped anyone out for such a long period of time. Then i always just feel bad for that one checker thats working the long line with no help. As i use the self checkout, every 2 seconds it seems, i have to wait for an approval by someone who works there ( and never anyone there to help) and when there is someone standing there they arent paying attention to ppl in the lines who may need assistance. I did learn however, dont do self checkout if you do have a lot of groceries, wich i only do when the lines are just simply too long.. just too much assistance needed when your bagging it yourself and theres never someone there to help you type codes in or to make sure youre doing everything correctly. Another thing, i went to go buy beef from the meet department there, 2 girls there just kept looking at me waiting to say what i needed to or spit out my question like i was dumb, (i was wondering about getting the beef with no bone) i bought it with the bone.. and got home and thought to myself, wth?? they couldve just cut it for me... and i clearly made it a big deal to them i did not want the bone on there... was there any suggestion made for them to cut it for me??? no! im sure it being so early they didnt want that kind of work.. and the firsrt thing i said when i walked up to the girls, was "i dont know much about the cuts and wich beef is what, so if you could suggest or help" annnnnnd all i got was, "theres this one or this one? this one has a bone and this one is much smaller but is boneless" and i told them i wanted the bigger piece but i wish i could have it without the bone. dumbest conversation ever! and i know half of that was my fault for not thinking to ask, but still! thats there job to assist. i got about 2 more things here... AND i went to buy cream cheese there, checked for expiration and grabbed one after the other and about 9 of the containers were EXPIRED by about 8 days!! AND the lady was even next to me stocking!! so i told her just so they knew that, and she went to go look at most of the others, and sure enough... like 12 of them in stock were all expired! can you imagine if someone bought that and didnt notice and got sick??? trusting that what you buy is good expiration. NOT the case. LAST but not least... i was there to get eggs... nope, didnt have any but like 2 of the tiny little containers, so i went back the next day and the next for eggs, and nope.. it was about 3/4 days straight they were like completely out of eggs. That all being ranted and said, i will no longer go to this awful, awful, place.. and they will no longer have my business and hard earned money. -Smart and final is my new grocery store and i am truly loving it there! I haven't been at this Albertson location for a while. It has changed with regards to greeting customers. I just rented a rug doctor around 10am and found the staff quite unwelcoming...no smiles nor greetings which was pretty standard years before. I iive in Anaverde and this was the closest store I go to years back.. I had to initiate a positive attitude to encourage a simple conversation and smile to a staff called "theresa" when I picked up the equipment and she did respond albeit half heartedly but still a response nonetheless. Returned the equipment the following day and I did not even bother to extend an effort of positive interaction to another female employee because instead of a warm greeting it was a smirk nor a thank you for repeat business...if staff are to work at a "Customer Service" area...the least they can do is be warm and welcoming and please Smile. read more

Is it any wonder why big name grocery stores are leaving the Antelope Valley ? Those store is a prime example. First, the prices. Coke 12 packs are on SALE 3 for $12.99. That's a sale ? That comes to $4.33 each! That is ridiculous. Stater Bros. has the same item 3 for $ 9.99. Both are Union stores , so don't blame union wages . Both companies pay the same prices to Coca Cola. I go to the water aisle. Prices are insane. The house brand spring water is $4.99 a 24 pack. Name brand is same price. Now for the service... They have tons of employees, standing around , talking to each other about the wrong price signs all over . I don't care, should I be hearing this? read more

I love the Albertsons in Lancaster but since I moved to Palmdale I decided to stop by this Albersons. I was not impressed at all! I felt lost and employees are not as nice as the ones in Lancaster. When I was checking out the cashier was too busy talking to her friend that was in front of me checking out as well. The cashier didn't make the effort to be as nice to me like she was with her friend. I don't think I will be coming here anymore I rather drive to Lancaster and visit my store. At least we get the red carpet there. read more

Albertson's is pretty close to my job. It's so convenient when I need to but those soda deals. I have to fill up a shopping cart with sodas and everyone is just super nice and always offer to help. I always let them know if they want a free soda feel free to stop by at Kerry's Insurance in Palmdale. So now you all know too :) Overall Albertson's has been a life saver many times! read more

You need to clean up your act on the outside of your building. Its dirty often and rif raff loitering outside. It makes for a very uncomfortable shopping experience. Clean it up and get rid of the pan handlers or you will end up like the other closed markets in your chain. read more

I have always had a good experience at this store. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five stars is because there are always homeless people in front or in the parking lot asking for money. They troll the parking lot hitting up customer after customer for money. This morning I had to navigate around two homeless guys to get into the store and on the way out, while I was on my phone, a guy hit me up anyway. I gave him a buck and he said, "All I need is $59 more to get a hotel room." They guys are clearly drunks or druggies. Albertsons needs to clear them out! read more

Great customer service! They are truly lacking in Organic produce and Organic products, though (go to Vons). Otherwise, it's a good grocery for basics and name brands. Fish selection is not any better/worse than anywhere else around here. It's the only grocery were you can find locally-caught wild Dover Sole, which is awesome! read more

I love the produce selection. Lines are never long. Employees are friendly but I can't stand all the soliciting outside the store. The type of people that approach you especially at night is scary. Also, since the redbox machines are outside the store people have a tendency of parking in the red zone blocking traffic even though the store has now put up signs. read more

Went to this Albertsons on 2/15/17 at 8:15 p.m. On the end cap by the deli is a display of cut salami and crackers. Key word being cut. The salami has a visible condensation or sweat on it. I tell the man working at the deli that the salami should be refrigerated it will make people sick. He says it's o.k. it's the kind that can be left out. Told the night manager, I get the same reply. I called in the morning and tell the morning manager and get the same reply. Meat needs to be refrigerated, especially pork. The only salami that can be left out is cured salami with a while chalk like rind. Cut salami has to be refrigerated or it will make you really sick. Please see below instructions regarding cut salami: Cut Salami Once you slice into the salami, you break the protective casing and harmful bacteria can enter into the sausage. Ironically, harmless bacteria are also used in curing salami. The white casing on the outside of salami is an edible mold called penicillim that blocks other bacteria from entering the sausage. Once salami is cut, put it in the refrigerator, where you can keep it for up to three weeks. read more

Removing the self-checkout was a terrible mistake as there are rarely enough cashiers to keep the lines decent. They cannot cash lottery tickets beyond certain hours which is inconvenient. They seemed to have removed many of the Daiya vegan items that were available. The produce assortment is basic. I think I'm going to drive a little further from now on to get quicker service and a better selection. read more

I'm OK with store, but I couldn't believe what happened to me this morning. I had only a few items so I went to the self-serve checkout and 2 registers were out-of -order so I went to the first open one and it was not set up properly to input my card number so I went to the last one. This register didn't work either, checker Irene finally shows up to fix them and says she can't do it but she'll take me at the regular checkout, meanwhile an off duty checker comes rushing up with her own merchandise and suddenly while I'm standing there she fixes the register for her own use and scurries off to take her break as I am still going through the regular check out Isle. I couldn't believe the gall of that checker to cut in front of a customer and the lackadaisical of Irene to allow this to happen and not have someone who knows how fix the registers if she's not capable. read more

I moved to this side of town a few months ago and started shopping here. I quickly realized after the first few times that they have no person dedicated to the self check out. There always seems to be issues with the machines and NO one is around to help you. This has happend to me countless times. The manager is "maybe 50s Caucasian women" is extremely rude. She has been SUPER rude to me on a couple of instances. She even yelled at her bag boy for trying to help guests that got stuck in the self check out. At one point all the self checkouts were down and there was a line of about 7 people. The only person to help was one of the bag boys and when the manager saw that she started to yell at him in front of everyone that "this isnt your job get out of here!". She even got frustrated with me when i turned a scratcher in for 2$ she carded me and told me i didnt look 18 in a pissed off voice. She stared at my id for like 30 seconds. Im almost 30 btw. Ive even heard the employee's making comments about her rudeness when i was in line at the checkout and she was getting snappy with another customer. I will no longer shop here till you get new management. Its ridiculous employees and customers have to put up with someone like this. read more

I was having out of town company and was dreading the work of preparing food for 20 people. I went to Lisa in the Deli Dept and she helped me so much. We planned together sandwiches on VERY fresh rolls and croissants. I was very picky about the kind of meats,I wanted the special roasted turkey breast and roast beef. I also wanted some very Italian type sandwiches as the company was from the east coast. When I went to pick up the order I was amazed. The sandwiches were on very nice platters (not crammed or piled) sliced in half with a tray with lettuce onions tomatoes and pickles all sliced and garnished. All I had to do was put the out and take the tops off. Why have I done all of this work at home when Lisa at Albertson's is available...WOW ! read more

So, basically I never make any types of complaints but unfortunately I will today. On June 27th at approximately 5:30-6:00pm I went to customer service to cash my check. Mind you I didn't have money and was in empty, but that's beside the point. They lady at the customer service desk looked at my check and said "we don't have money to cash your check, we are out of money " my check was only $323. And I was very disappointed because... I have 13years experience in customer service and her response to me was not right. She didn't even try to make it seem like she was going to try to see "if there was anything else she could do to help" NOTHING! She told me cut and short! "Nope we can't cash your check" and I even asked her if she could at least attempt to call a manager or a higher up to maybe over write it, but nothing! I honestly didn't feel like begging her or even expressing my distress for having no gas etc.... I didn't get the lady's name she's a white tall, a little over weight lady. They aren't very friendly we go often and they smile occasionally but, don't care to know our names. Many look like don't want to be there or help. SEVERAL TIMES we get expired or near expired things. Getting really old and costly. We like Von's on 20th but, kinda sane issue. We would love to have food longer and not expire week later to next day. We check food and often see expired things with managers discount also see produce wrinkling up or mold often too!! We use to love when they had fresh great quality and convenient being close however, might be worth drive somewhere else..The Starbucks lady in charge has big attitude and sometimes ok but, often talks bad about customers and often looks annoyed or as if doesn't want to be there. Even heard her talk bad about my husband and I, so rude!! Only reason go because does get order right and convenience of being close...Stars just keep getting lower as quality and friendliness gets lower!! read more
