This is the first time in over 11 years that I had a problem occur.. Shocking to me that it was the store director as well. She didn't greet me, and just began swiping all my items too quickly and she had to void the transaction because I let her know that this is all WIC items.. Then it took her a while to try to figure out what to do on the register.. ANY other CASHIER would've had me in & out in under 10 minutes.. Today took over 20 minutes and they don't stock on tiny batteries needed for my thermometer.. I will be sure to stick to the cashiers that I know from now on.. read more

The cashier named AARON was treating me harshly in front of everyone near the cash register. He kept complaining about how he didn't like it when we came to get a refund for the prices we got charged. He told us to come the next day to get the refund because he said he didn't want his night to be ruined. Although he said he would still do it so we agreed to bring it in. We brought our items in to the store and he asked what we wanted to return and we told him which items. He took his time looking over our items. He even let a customer check out before us. Also when he was checking us out he would make statements about us in front of his customers as if we are criminals when we just came in for a refund. Is it that hard to ring up items and ask for a refund with a applicable receipt purchased just a few hours ago??? According to AARON, he said he is dealing with a nightmare. This location is a not so nice area, but the cashiers and employees have always been kind and courteous. Any questions I've ever had for any employee has been met with a useful and pleasant response. The store is always clean and tidy unlike other locations. I've been going to this Albertsons for years and will continue. read more

Never a happy experience. Prices are high and the lines are long. One cashier, Deanna, takes her love sweet time working the register. She'll chat with everyone who walks by while we all stand there waiting with just one or 2 items. And she thinks she's funny, when actually she's rude. Albertsons in Casa de Oro has been there for for as long as I've been around. I've Been getting groceries and other things with my mom and dad I love I love the owner and staff. My experience could've been better if it wasn't for all the staff and owner. I also get my medicine at the Savon pharmacy. I love the staff who work at the pharmacy. read more

Albertson's prices are ridiculously high. Their sale prices are still more than other grocery stores regular prices. This summer there usual high price on the container of guacamole was about $5, now it's almost $7. The last 3 times I bought it it was spoiled. When I requested another container today the "manager" tried to get an attitude telling me that it's packaged daily. I flip the container over and showed her yesterdays date of the new container I had just picked up. Then she went on to say that she's on a strict diet and purchases and eat this guacamole EVERYDAY. All lies. No one is eating guacamole like THAT everyday. So because I didn't have the last purchase with me, they gave me a $7 gift card. WHATEVER! But just to prove that cashier was an asshole, I'm going to take that rancid guac back to the store and let her know I don't appreciate her lying and then treating me like a liar. They need to close all Albertson's and replace them with Food-4-Less or Wal-Mart grocery stores. We don't need this store in Spring Valley. We need a store the neighborhood can afford to shop in and where the managers take responsibility. And this suggestion ain't got shit to do with that sour ass guac, but that is why I'm posting it on YELP. read more

I always receive friendly service at this Albertson's location. Every staff member is friendly, helpful, and the cashiers are polite. Their staff seems to be trained exceptionally well. It makes shopping much more pleasant and less of a chore when I know I will be in and out with speedy yet good service. read more

Be very careful of this store charging you for extra bags. Today I asked the cashier if I could buy 4 bags, which she communicated to the person bagging (another checker). That checker then crammed all my groceries into three bags and put them in my basket. Hoping I wouldn't notice maybe? I am disabled and I asked for four bags because I know how much I can carry without hurting myself. So I had to get another bag (which I paid for) and re-bag the groceries. What a nuisance. This used to be the store I would go to for a quick trip since my daughter works there. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping there any longer. They have a problem with people coming in and defecating all over the restrooms, walls and floors. This happens on a weekly basis. The manager Amal instructs the cashiers / baggers to clean it up with water and paper towels. No other protective gear or cleaner is being used by most of the employees because they were never trained in proper hazardous waste procedures. Then these same employees will come and handle your food purchases! Yuck! read more

This location is the reason I know you can't give a zero star rating on yelp, because if you could, that's what they would have gotten. If anything the one star can be used for 3 specific employees (the floral manager who ends up helping me find my groceries more then the floor associates do, and the 2 tattooed younger gentlemen that work the registers who are the only cashiers who seem capable of smiling or being polite) otherwise this place would be in the negative star category. Without fail I am treated rudely by every other person in the store. When I ask where a particular item is I am most times given a shoddy answer (if one is given at all and i'm not completely ignored) or an answer filled with sighs and attitude. Other then the floral manager I have never had an employee escort me to an item, which I thought was pretty common for the grocery business, but apparently is not high on the importance list for this particular store manager. I have had cashiers argue with me about advertised prices, and was even directly insulted by a cashier and her "supervisor" when asking for clarification on a sale price I saw that seemed too good to be true, well, it was, and the response received from the supervisor was "Why would we sell it at that price? No one would sell it for that cheap!", oddly enough the disputed price was not only matched but bettered one week later at another grocer. Bottom line? Rude employees, poorly organized and maintained store, poor selection, high prices, poor quality produce and meat/seafood, and a management team that is either blind, or has completely forgotten the meaning of customer service. If you can find a diseased homeless man selling groceries in Casa de Oro I would suggest him before sending a single soul to this Albertsons. read more

I only come here for Milk and maybe a few small items. Their selection is very, very poor and its hard to find anything. The hot food section and deli sucks and the food tastes bad! The employees are pretty cool and friendly but the overall store for food buying sucks. They need to get better quantity and more of a selection. If i had to buy food to cook for a dinner for family or friends, i would never come here for it. Id go to Vons. read more

i live right next to this place, and its located in the infamous spring valley shopping center. You'll find all types of crazy things in this parking lot. every time i come here I'm harassed either by kids selling candy out of those big blue plastic bins trying to fund raise for a trip somewhere or groups of people flagging me down trying to get me to listen to their shitty rap CD demo with a Walkman in hand. or a group of grown woman fighting and then resulting in weaves flying in the air. I've gotten use to it because you have to living in this town all these years but for outsiders beware. Albertsons is Albertsons, i don't mind it, i go to get what i need or to rent a red box movie (there's always a line) they change baggers like i change my underwear (aka frequently) those kids are always rude and always talking to the cashiers as they bag your items, ignoring you. but they always have what i need. read more

Every employee I've encountered has gone above and beyond to help me find what I've needed when I've asked. The butcher department always checks in the back for you if can't find what you're looking for in the cooler. The cashiers are always friendly and makes checking out so pleasant! read more

I have lived here in spring valley for several years. And have gone to this Albertsons several times. Everytime I come here the customer service is ridiculous. Cashiers are always rude!!!! I went last last night for some quick shopping on a couple items. And the cashier "MEA" was beyond rude. She only said three things to me. And kept staring at something or someone across the store instead of helping me. And I always have horrible customer service here. The outside parking lot is a little sketchy. I'm so impressed by the increase in cleanliness, quality, and wide range of products, especially the produce department, over what it was just a couple of years ago. There is no longer a fishy smell near the meat department, and there is always a great assortment of ready-to-cook veggie packs, such as the one I stir-fried tonight: cut-up green beans, mushrooms, and red onions. I used two packs for four people for really generous servings, stir-fried it in a wok with 4 T-spoons vegetable oil, and near the end added black pepper, just a little bit of soy sauce, and several grinds of a spice mix we have in a grinder on the counter--herbes de Provence? I went here after a not so good experience with Conroy's Flower shop. I was needing to get some balloons filled for my daughter's party and Conroy's was going to charge me as if I were purchasing balloons from them $3 for latex and $6 for mylar. Well, I had 7 latex and 4 mylar balloons, so the total would have been $45! I went to Albertsons and asked if I could get my balloons filled in their floral dep. The lady I asked went and found the florist for me and then let me go back and talk to her. She told me she could do it for a reasonable price and so I went ahead and even added on 6 extra latex balloons. She only ended up charging me $7.99! Which was less than what she quoted! I was very pleased. I have been to this store many other times and my experiences have always been good. Once I needed to find something, and a staff member didn't just tell me where to find what I was looking for, but he walked me all the way to the other side of the store and pointed out to me what I was looking for! read more
