A small neighborhood market with a great meat department. Very affordable and the meats are perfect to throw on any grill. I recommend the pollo asado. Big pieces of perfectly cut chicken. Amazing flavor. Prefect on tacos, in sandwiches or by itself. Delicious. Fresh produce, milk and eggs. Some Hispanic treats for the kids. Nothing too fancy. Just the basics but isn't that really all you need? Very friendly. Prices are reasonable. No inflated prices. Support local businesses especially the good ones. La Bonita is a gem in Spring Valley. Buy your meat and groceries here.

This Market has recently change ownership from Mercado International to "La Bonita Market." I stopped in after work to pick up some garlic, Mexican green onions, and some serrano peppers. The market has a nice butchery and meat counter. The chicken adobado caught my eye and will be on my list next time I come in. The garlic was the "Garlic Girl" brand and came with six bulbs for $1.69. The green onions stalks were large and looked pretty fresh so I picked up two for .69 each, which I need for a tostada party later in the week. The serrano peppers were at a reasonable price of $1.59 per pound and will go great in the salsa! Anyways, the store is smaller than most markets, but it certainly offers what most would need in a neighborhood market, like produce, milk, eggs, bread, and a meat counter. The store did need to be better stocked, but it was towards the end of the day. The outside of the building is being remolded, so I look forward to seeing the finished product. Also, the lady who was running the store when I stopped in was very nice. I believe she told me she was the mother of the owner. Nice family run market.

It sounded good but we also weren't really feeling like going "out" and something that could be delivered or that we could pick up seemed like the better play. All the typical poke places showed up when we searched but none of them really sold us. Well, good thing I remembered that Valley Farm's poke game is strong... really strong. Believe me, I know that those of you who don't know Valley Farm will likely say "really?" when I detail that this sleepy little Spring Valley market kicks out poke as good as anywhere else in SD, but it's true. It's a sleeper of a choice but the quality and price will make you a fan, trust me.

The store is clean, beautifully organized, and filled with high-quality products you don't always find at larger chain grocery stores. What I love most is their fresh selection, especially the produce, specialty items, and unique gourmet finds. Everything looks vibrant and carefully displayed. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. They also have a full butcher shop with everything you could desire. The selection is impressive, and it's wonderful knowing you can get high-quality cuts prepared fresh right there in the store. It adds such a personalized, old-fashioned market feel that you just don't see everywhere anymore. Another favorite of mine is their fresh-pressed cold juice blends, which I absolutely love. They taste incredibly fresh, and you can truly tell the difference in quality. It's such a treat to grab one while shopping. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It truly feels like a neighborhood market where customer service still matters. Whether I am picking up everyday essentials or something special for a gathering, I know I will find something wonderful here. If you appreciate quality, variety, and a pleasant shopping experience, Valley Farms Market is definitely worth a visit. I always leave happy!

Today, I was looking for baby items. The entire aisle was empty! I asked a woman in the pharmacy for help and she asked around then said she'd look with me. We found the relocated baby aisle and she let me know the store will undergo remodeling. I think it's great because it could use a new look. I do think they should've had a sign posted about the relocation as well as the sign posted about where to find formula. Ambiance is nothing special storewise and occasionally there are some nasty customers. For instance, a guy was walking around visibly sick and huddled over then sneezed without covering his mouth and I could see all the nastiness fly out of his mouth. I was so disgusted. I like the sales and the ease of self checkout. The lines can get long if multiple people need assistance at self checkout. I like what I assume is security at the entrance/exit. I've seen one follow people around. I also like using instacart pickup or delivery with this store. It's helpful when I'm busy and don't want both kids in the store shopping.

I love the concept--pizza on one side, incredible sandwiches and gelato on the other, all connected to a fully stocked Italian market. It's the kind of place where you can grab lunch, dessert, and authentic Italian groceries all in one stop. The staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The Meatball Sandwich is an absolute must-try packed with flavor and perfectly made. The Signature Sandwich was another standout because it's something different from your typical Italian sandwich. It had its own unique flavor that really sets it apart. I didn't get a chance to try the pizza this visit, but if the sandwiches are any indication, I already know I'll be back for it soon. The only small downside is that the parking lot is a little tight, especially during busy hours, but it's well worth the minor inconvenience. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. Great food, friendly service, fair prices, and a unique setup that makes you want to keep coming back. This has definitely earned a spot on my regular rotation. Highly recommend!
