Me and a friend came here for a special pop up shop they were having for Coachella! It was very nice! They collaborated with Shop Pickle to prep everyone for the upcoming festival season. This was really cool as you could browse around and shop different brands and see the amazing skin care they have for sale. The ambiance was just beautiful and bright and the service was amazing. All the ladies working there were so sweet and helpful! It also doubles as a cafe which has an adorable outside patio as well. It's located right on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice and if you're in the area it's worth dropping by. This was a free to the public pop up shop that was advertised on their Instagram @shoppickle @albion_garden

Wonderful strawberry matcha and lightly toasted milk bread with butter and jam! What a breakfast!

*This review is for beauty service, not the café I've known Albion for their innovative skincare products, so I was thrilled to hear they opened a flagship store on Abbot Kinney. I'm a huge fan of their Skin Conditioner (toner), and when I found out they also offer facials in a private treatment room, I knew I had to try one! My facialist was incredibly friendly and detail-oriented, from checking my skin's moisture levels to explaining each product she used. The facial itself was gentle, thorough, and deeply relaxing--definitely one of the best I've had. My skin felt plump and super hydrated for days afterward!

I'm rating Albion as a cafe, not for their beauty / yoga / shop offerings. We came here for breakfast on the weekend. The store is in a converted home and it has a cool, funky vibe. Feels almost like a diner? There's a patio in the back to sit in plus another room that's maybe an artist studio? It's open to sit in unless being used. Decent for working in because it's quiet. Their coffee maker was broken - bummer. We got a matcha latte and it was quite good. A richer, less sweet taste than I'm used to. I also got a croissant (they sell Baked Bar good). Baked Bar is very tasty but I think my croissant was a day or two old...not the best. If I were to do it again I'd get the Japanese egg salad sandwich. Service was top notch. Very friendly. All in all I'd try again. I don't think I got the full experience since the coffee maker was down and I picked the wrong food item. I can tell this place has potential to be great!! Thank you Albion

Christina was amazing & the matcha was excellent. Thank you so much for all the great service

There's a lot going on in here, but that's very fitting for Abbott Kinney. Stopped in for a little caffeine fix. They have a full coffee bar that also offers grab-and-go food. We keep coming back for the coffee and the service is amazing. I think this place is a skincare store and spa first. They have a ton of skin care products on the opposite side of the coffee shop part and offer spa services. Is you keep walking back there's a small garden and sitting area. Then in the back building there's always a new pop-up shop. The last two times we've been in the shop has been upscale clothing. Just like most people who find themselves wandering around Abbott Kinney, this place is just trying to find its way, while having multiple jobs just trying to survive in LA, but somehow makes it all work. Keep hustling Albion, you got this!

Beautiful place, amazing vibes, and great quality matcha. I have been on the hunt for some good matcha cheesecakes and Albion Garden did not disappoint. The cheesecake was very creamy with a smooth texture. An emerald green color and most importantly you can taste the high quality of matcha. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Matcha jelly is my new fav thing!! I got it with no extra matcha just the matcha jelly because I was worried it might be too much caffeine. This place is spectacular with a beauty shop, spa, event space, food and coffee! All the staff members are so kind and sweet! I definitely will be back for their lunch menu and a facial!

Had high hopes for their matcha as they have a sign saying they having the "finest matcha from uji, kyoto". I go in and great customer service but my matcha was not great and not even good, I only taste oat milk :/ It's as if they just put powder on the bottom of the cup and put milk in it. If you're a matcha lover you'll understand the pain haha It's just not worth the $7

Cute quaint little matcha shop serving coffee, lattes, real matcha jelly drinks and an assortment of Japanese ice cream sodas. Matcha is from Uji, Kyoto and not the powdered type it's the real deal matcha. A must try for any matcha connoisseurs. Plus they have sushi and a number of Japanese snacks. Very cute area in the back to chill out on mats and in the shady patio. There is also an Albion cosmetics area inside that is very nice with a peaceful tranquil treatment room. Very nice Japanese owner as well too. Hidden gem at the end of Abbott Kinney. They also have coffee too.

    Sushi special

The service was so great! The ladies outside were very respectfully trying to lure people in with a 50% off sushi special... and it worked! They were so friendly and helped with all the recommendations and even got me a little baggy of ice when they saw I was taking it away. The bowl ended up being only $7. It was good for the price, but I wish the rice was separate and the dill wasn't my favorite. There was a decent amount of salmon though!

    Sprinkle Sushi!

The concept for this place is so unique and innovative! I passed through here on a fairly warm day and was looking for a light and refreshing lunch. The sprinkle sushi was everything I was hoping for and more! I've had various sushi and poke dishes throughout LA, and this is most definitely one of my favorites so far. The balance of salmon, vegetables, and rice was spot on, and you can taste the freshness and quality of every ingredient. What truly made the experience I think was the cute "bungalow-esque" back patio area. It's a peaceful little hideaway with cushions, blankets, local art and fun plants... so glad I stumbled across this hidden gem and can't wait to come back soon.

Freshly Squeezed Pomegranate fruit AMAZAKE AKA fermented rice milk
    Magaly J.

This review is strictly with respect to their Freshly Squeezed PASSION FRUIT AMAZAKE drink. The ambiance of this place is so serene and feminine. I would have loved to have stayed longer to explore the products that they offered. The service was also good. I ordered, paid and promptly got my drink. The drink itself is the reason why the rating is lower. Personally, I could not finish drinking this fermented rice drink because of how sweet it was. I know that online the store advertises that there is no sugar added (which is what drew me into this store in the first place) but be warned that it is very sweet. The person I was with helped me finish the rest of the drink and said it reminded them of suan mei tang (sour plum drink) . For the double digit price I paid, I wish it was a better product in terms of flavor profile, but alas, I came to a skincare beauty store for a drink. So I guess that's on me. Nevertheless, I do see myself returning to this store to explore their other products and services (but just not the drink).

I felt like she took into consideration my concerns for rough patches and blemishes. After the appointment was over, I felt super relaxed and happy with how my skin immediately felt. I've always loved Aesop products and love to visit their store but never purchased anything (until this visit). I would say a lot had to do with the genuine encounter with the sales rep, Astrid who was very knowledgeable and intentional with the products they recommended. They were very attentive with what scents I was into and what would complement my style. The whole experience was so lighthearted but also very informative, Astrid knew what they were talking about when it comes to scents and even aesthetics. I barely write reviews so this means something to me, the vibes were *chefs kiss* thanks Astrid!! I can't stop thinking about this hand soap that sits on my kitchen counter, the texture, the scent the feeling it leaves on my hands.

I was visiting my best friend who just moved back to Cali from New York, and since she lives about…read moreten minutes from Abbott Kinney, we wandered through a few fragrance shops. I'd already bought some samples at another store, but the service there was pretty hands‑off. As we walked by, something about the aesthetic caught my eye, but it was the inviting scent -- the kind that makes you want to linger -- that pulled me right through the door. I complimented the representative, Astrid, on how incredible everything felt the moment we stepped inside, and he immediately brought over a candle for me to try. From that moment on, he stayed with us and walked us through candles, hand soaps, hand creams, and fragrances with this calm, attentive energy that made the whole experience feel unhurried. One of my favorite parts was the hand‑washing station right in the middle of the store. I didn't even realize it was functional until my friend started washing her hands mid‑conversation. Astrid invited her to try the Reverence Aromatique Hand Wash, and as he was describing the texture, the exfoliation, the creaminess -- I couldn't help but join in and see for myself. The scent, the hand feel, the way it exfoliated without drying my skin at all -- it was divine. He followed it with the Eleos Aromatique Hand Balm, which complemented the soap so well it felt like the two were meant to go together. At one point he even joked about the working shower they have in the back stocked with product, which made us laugh. With my background in sales, I can tell you he's genuinely talented -- personable, kind, knowledgeable, and somehow persuasive in the most subtle way. I didn't feel pushed at all, but I absolutely felt sold. I was genuinely compelled to buy some of the products based on the interaction with him alone. I bought the hand balm he recommended and have been using it nonstop, while my friend grabbed the Reverence hand soap. But I can't stop thinking about that hand soap -- I took a picture of it so I'd remember exactly which one I'm coming back for. I also felt genuinely seen by Astrid -- like every curiosity had space and every question was met with intention. Meanwhile, Le Labo down the street was overwhelming: so many scents, little to no input, just "what did you like?" No journey through the notes, no sensory experience, nothing immersive. After that, the difference was night and day. Aesop actually feels like they care about the experience -- and having someone like Astrid on the floor proves it. Honestly, after reading some of the existing reviews, I realize my experience at Aesop was completely unlike the negative ones -- I went in expecting nothing, and they exceeded everything, enough that I had to sit down and write a review.
