Stopped at Waterfront Village to check out the sea lions which were putting on quite the show. Stumbled upon KC's Crepes cafe, timing was good as we were hungry for breakfast. Very simple setup, order at the counter, there is only outdoor seating with umbrellas which somehow did not provide much shade, pick up your food when called, and bus your table. At the provided seating there is not a water view. Service was great, personable, efficient. I was in awe of watching the lone employee making a perfect crepe. There is no way it is as easy as she made it look, in particular flipping it over. Watching this performance was an added bonus. The crepe itself was perfectly cooked. The base is a cheese crepe; there is a list of about 6 vegetables you can add at nominal cost. (There were also meats, but since we are vegetarian I did not pay any attention) The total package was ok, definitely needed seasoning to add flavor. Very reasonably priced. Would we go back? Probably not; while there was nothing wrong with the food, service, or pricing there are better choices nearby. read more

Despite the number of visits I've had to Marina Del Rey, I've never heard of this pop up eatery. I recently stopped by for a latte prior to a friend's Hanukkah party and couldn't pass on the opportunity to order a crepe. They offer a pretty extensive menu of both sweet and savory options. I kept things simple with the turkey melt. This thin crepe was rolled and filled with cheese, tomato, and sliced turkey. The perfect snack before any social event. I also ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. The beverage easily did the trick. Their outdoor patio offers prime real estate with an incredible view of the water. The crepes are freshly made, and the edges were crispy + you can't really go wrong with strawberry and whipped cream. The drink was ok as well; reminded me a bit of the artificial fruit juice I could get on a college campus. The boba was chewy though and great! This place is a bit pricey for crepes and drinks but one of the few dessert places in this specific pier, so it's a decent option. The person who took my order was super friendly but the one making the crepes inside did make me feel a little upset as she spent more time chatting than working and when I asked a question about possibly adding bananas to my crepe, she told me that she just finished making my order and that it would've been additional charge had I said so at the start and then handed me the crepe abruptly which surprised me a bit... Overall though, not too bad of an experience--just know your order right off the bat and you should be good to go! :) read more

Stumbled upon this cafe on our walk to Marina Del Rey. I tried the iced latte with mocha mint and it was alright. The mint flavor was slightly overpowering to me and had more of a natural mint leaf, than a sweeter mint/peppermint taste I usually prefer for a mocha drink. I think because it was a latte and not a mocha, it didn't have the creamier chocolate espresso taste I had hoped for. However the coffee was decent and they made it quite fast. I loved the outdoor seating and we so happened to come on a day where people were dancing and listening to music in the plaza that faces the cafe. It's a cute joint but I think I may need to try another drink in the future! read more

Last Saturday, went to brunch with a friend at KC's Crepes Cafe in Marina del Rey at Fisherman's Village! How fun; crepes, music, boats & gorgeous scenery, love this area! Egg & Cheese Crepe ($9.95): Added tomatoes & basil as .50 add-ons; perfectly light & filling breakfast crepe. Nutella & Banana Crepe/Shared: Delicious & sweet! Added whipped crème. Yum! Music: Who knew that there would be a Live DJ playing the best music in the courtyard?! I've been numerous times, but first time seeing this, it was really cool and festive!! Some people were even dancing! There was also a 360° camera set up for people to step up to. The camera circled them as they danced & or moved around, was fun to watch. There were also lots of balloons! Marina: The scenery is always gorgeous; Boats/Yachts/Rentals! It's fun to walk around the area, as there are other shops, restaurants & just an all-around fun area. Customer Service: The girl at the register was so sweet, her smile brightens up the whole stand! We ended up talking about Jamaica, because she said my outfit made her think of Jamaica! Haha!(I hope you get to go one day!!) The girl who made the crepes was so sweet as well & it was cool watching her make the crepes. Both had such upbeat & vibrant personalities, super friendly! So many choices, both "savory" and sweet. Crepes are large and about half the price of a French restaurant. The smoked salmon with onions is one of my favorites! The add-ons are ridiculously cheap (50 cents for veggies, $3 for seafood or meat). One note - the amount of fruit in those crepes is a bit low, so it's definitely worth spending $2.50 extra to double it. read more

Will say i was torn between a 4 and 5 but going with 5: Positives: - such a cute location!!! Right on the water with tables outside, perfect for a sunny morning - coffee was SO GOOD, will definitely be coming back for the the caramel latte alone Negatives: While i enjoyed my crepe, i am definitely not a crepe expert and my friend who knows crepes a bit more said she wasn't super impressed. I would have given 5 stars for the crepes as they were amazing but the service was HORRIBLE. Our crepe was missing Nutella so we asked her to add some and she said very not nicely it'll cost extra. When we said it's ok, she threw away the entire crepe as she said "we already touched it". We were shocked and tried to explain she could have just given us Nutella on the side, but she was super rude and unpleasant. She then told the story to the other employee right in front of our eyes, and they kept talking about us, looking at us and laughing at us our entire stay..!!!!! KC's CREPE CAFE IS AWESOME!!!! i went here with my friends karla and candace for our beach day!!! we got three crepes and shared them: the first was this spinach and mushroom crepe which was so good!! the second was the margarita crepe which tasted like pizza! yum! the third was the strawberry crepe with dark chocolate. SO DELICIOUS WE DEVOURED IT the customer was service was so nice!! i had a fun small talk exchange with one of the workers and it was quite nice the restaurant has a bike rental shop nearby! we highly recommend going there and biking around after eating the crepes. we went biking around for a couple hours and it was SO MUCH FUN!! the only thing was that karla and candace were making fun of me for the way i was biking my bike was in the wrong gear, so no matter fast and forceful i was pedaling, the bike wouldn't move faster. It's such a shame, but they seem to have hired a B-team cashier recently. We come here pretty often (especially weekend mornings) and, when the older, Asian owner is working, he's always personable and makes the crepes very well. However, when the younger crew is on the clock, you might want to consider other options. After we'd ordered, I sat down, contemplating the cashier's barely subtle baditude. Smiles and heart-centered joy must not have made it to her doorstep this morning. She was non-plussed that we'd accrued enough "frequent flyer" stamps for a free crepe, didn't transfer our drink stamps to the new card, and she was even more crusty about my order request for less foam vs more milk in my latte. When my wife walked over to me, gesturing with her eyes toward the cashier and asked, "Is it just me, or is Miss Crankypants on a little bit of a warpath today", I just chuckled. Although we had asked for minor modifications to our food and drink order, (extra milk in the latte, hold the mushrooms on a crepe) neither were communicated to the chef and the orders came out incorrectly. When I brought these to her attention, she was... well you can imagine. Sadly, I think her negative and toxic energy infected the young lady who was making the crêpes. My own crepe was undercooked with runny, snotty eggs inside, and my daughter's pizza style crepe had so little pizza sauce, cheese, and olives that it literally tasted like we were just eating a plain crepe. Cute little shop with a variety of crepes to choose from. I only stopped by for a latte, but even the drinks look enticing. Aside from coffee, they have a Green Tea latte, and a long list of boba's to try. I didn't notice the boba menu until after I order my latte, otherwise I would have tried one. The male and female working the window were very sweet, cheerful and all smiles. They have a quaint little set up, and if you come on the weekend you can enjoy a crepe, some coffee or tea, and listen to live music while enjoying the crisp ocean breeze (bring a jacket or sweater).
