Poor Service, Overcharged, and Damaged My Vehicle - Never Again I brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change at Albion Ford, and it turned into a frustrating, expensive, and damaging experience. They over-tightened the drain bolt, which ended up damaging my skid plate underneath the car. Instead of owning up to it, they got angry when I refused to pay $450 for a brand-new skid plate -- on a car with over 200,000 miles on it. They only reinstalled 3 of the skid plate bolts, which tells you how little care they took to fix what they damaged. They originally quoted me $40, which is the typical Quick Lane oil change rate - but I ended up paying $240. For what? To sit in the lobby for 4.5 hours, and have them overfill my engine with oil -- a brand-new engine, mind you, with only 2,000 miles on it. Absolutely unacceptable service. Poor communication, careless work, and no respect for the customer's time or vehicle. I will never return and strongly recommend others look elsewhere for honest, professional service. read more

I believe they are really trying to figure out what is wrong with my purchase I made from them and I thought I would tell that to everyone that is looking into this dealership to make a purchase. Very disappointing. We should have read the reviews. We bought a used car for our daughter. It was an as is car. A few days after picking it up (and driving it twice) we realized there was no washer fluid. We bought some for the front and back (these should have been filled). We tested to see if it was okay, and lo and behold the wiper fluid pump didn't work. We inquired about it and were told too bad. I understand it was as is - but with something so small to repair, it would seem to make sense to do so, in order to keep a customer for future purchases. We will not be going back. read more

I wish I would've read all the other one star reviews on here before taking my car here. I took my car in for a warranty recall that Ford had issued for a problem the car had. The car was running and able to get me to work every day for months before taking it to them. They told me the car needed a tune up and said it would cost $250. I told them "No thank you I just want the recall part replaced." They said they would call me when the part came in. Fast forward a few weeks and they called me to tell me the part was in. On the call they mentioned that the parts for the tune up came in too. I told them again "No thank you, I just want the recall fixed." They said they would just do that. The gentleman on the phone said I could drop the car off in the morning and it should only take half a day to fix. I dropped the car off at 8 Am. I called multiple times to see if there were updates. Every time they said they would call me back in 10 to 15 minutes. Not once did they call me back. I showed up at the dealership at 3:30 Pm expecting it to be done already. They had just gotten to it and said they should be done by 5 Pm. I showed up at 5 Pm. They proceeded to tell me that the part they replaced wasn't working and that they would need to do additional repairs and that the engine had a misfire and required a tune up to fix the misfire and that fixing the misfire would fix the issues. They said they would need the car for a few more days as well. I told them that I did not want them to do any repairs that would cost me money and that I just wanted the car back and that I would take care of the problems myself. They then proceeded to tell me that my car was not running due to this issue and that I wouldn't be able to take it until they fixed the issue. I told them I'd rather have them put the old part back and just give me the car back. They said they would need the car another day at least. When I dropped my car off to the dealership, I was able to drive it regularly everyday with little to no issues. Between the time of 8 Am when I dropped it off and 5 Pm when I showed up at the Dealership to get it the car was no longer running. They then told me that they would fix it first thing in the morning. I didn't hear anything from the dealership all day. At 3:30 Pm I called them, and they said they were finally just getting to it again. I'm not an expert but 3:30 Pm is not "First thing in the morning". At 5 Pm the manager called me. He started the call off by telling me that the car was still shifting rough and running rough before telling me it would need a $400 repair to run correctly. When I told him I just wanted to take my car he then said it wasn't running. When I showed up to the dealership, I demanded they give me my car back and said that I would fix it myself or take my business elsewhere. They proceeded to explain to me that my car no longer had a reverse and could only drive in first gear. They were very upset and didn't seem to have any remorse about what had transpired. To give you a recap my car went from running well enough to daily drive it to work every day at 8 Am on Thursday to not having any gears except for park and first gear by 5 Pm on a Friday all because I brought it in for a recall repair. If I would've known this was going to transpire, I would have never brought my car to them. My advice if you want someone to work on your car is to take it literally anywhere else in the world. A team of trained chimpanzees will probably do a better job and give you better service. I'm not sure if they wanted to rip me off to make a quick buck or if they were just wildly incompetent but either way, I cannot warn you enough not to take your vehicle there. read more

I have been trying to get some warranty work done for a month now. Per the service department manager, he hasn't even asked for the authorization yet. This is the 4th time contacting Aaron, and I have yet to get a satisfactory answer. I WOULD NOT advise any one to use this service department. I purchased a car here in March 2020. The sales side of things it went relatively smoothly. Before committing to the purchase, I had my mechanic (who I've used for over 15 years) do a pre-purchase inspection on the car. He discovered a small leak coming from the front engine timing cover. I told the salesman what he had discovered and in negotiating the sale it was agreed that Albion Ford would repair the leak, which they did. Little did I know, until I discovered it months later in October, that when doing this repair they had managed to break two of the bolts holding the motor mount to the frame of the car! They never bothered to tell me and I can only assume they hoped I would never discover the problem and they could "sweep it under the rug". I do a lot of mechanical work on cars myself (I'm an Industrial Electrician BTW) and I discovered what they had done when I went to replace the worn motor mount and found that not only were the bolts missing, but that they had permanently welded the mount to the frame of the car! (Side note: I knew they had done this and that it wasn't preexisting because I have a copy of the Ford factory service manual and the description of the procedure for removing the front engine cover involves removing the motor mount). When I confronted the service manger about this, he admitted that they had done this and he acted like this was a normal thing for them to do when they break a bolt! I made it clear that this was not acceptable, and that Ford Motor Company would not approve either. This is the kind of "hack job" one might expect from some "fly by night" garage! Not something you would expect from a Ford dealership with supposedly factory trained technicians! I also made it clear that I expected the car to be properly repaired to Ford factory specifications. They got back to me a few days later and the best they were willing to offer was to remove the welded mount and weld a new one on for me. Still not acceptable, the mount needs to be able to be unbolted and removed to access parts of the engine, or to be replaced easily when it's worn. (Under normal circumstances this part can be removed and replaced in under an hour). Since it was obvious that Albion Motors was going to be no help, I had my mechanic look at the problem. He just shook his head in disbelief and told me there was nothing he could do because when the mount was welded, they filled the bolt holes, so even drilling and tapping wasn't an option. At this point the only solution to properly repair the car was to have a body shop cut the mount off and weld new captive nuts inside the frame. I had a body shop that I've used in the past assess the situation and fortunately they were able to fix the problem for $587.00 I spoke with Albion Motors once again and told them I expected to be compensated for the cost of fixing their so called repair. I was told they had no intention of doing that and that in their opinion the "fix" they did versus the repair I paid the certified body shop to do was simply a matter of "personal preference!" Unbelievable! If Ford had intended the motor mount to be permanently attached to the frame, the car would have been engineered that way! Since the Service Manager seems to think welding a mount permanently to the frame of the car is acceptable, I guess he knows better than Ford's design engineers! (sarcasm). Thanks to Fender Mender Collision my car is now properly repaired after the shoddy job Albion Motors Ford did! $587 isn't going to break the bank for me, but I intend to pursue legal action to recover my costs, if anything just out of principal. I understand that mistakes sometimes happen, and bolts sometimes break. The difference between a good honest shop and a shop like this is that a good shop will be up front and inform you about what happened and then go out of the way to make things right! Not try to hide it and hope the customer doesn't find it! I hope my review helps someone to avoid a mistake in their vehicle purchase or repair! Consumers beware. Very shady business. Lack integrity and honesty. I asked salesman Vaughn and others why so many people claimed they did shady business to which I was nearly verbally attacked by one employee. Reassured by another. They had a vehicle I really liked and was in urgent need of a vehicle so I did not travel to where there were better deals on VW CC. I figured they had never did nothing to me so I ignored others foolishly. I had issues within the first month. Water pump had failed. VW Dealership is telling me the wrong coolant was put in which makes sense to me considering the color is now different. They have a receipt for VW coolant so they claim it is right. I plan to investigate further but the owner was one of the most disrespectful, immature and juvenile individuals Ive ever encountered. I dont have any faith in a word that kid says. It makes complete sense now why people say the things they do about Albion Ford. He condoned every bit of what was done or not done I should say to my vehicle which shows this place is being misled top down. But I was lied too by multiple employees directly to my face multiple times. Right after I got the car back for the water pump, it quit within the week. It would stall immediately after starting. Instant. The intake system had a leak. After paying for a tow back, they claimed a part was broke but in reality my intake system was installed wrong which probably resulted in the broken part if one was broke at all. It was kind of rigged back up to work according to the VW dealership because they found my intake shield not even installed, just wedged in engine bay. The clamps on my intake were not fastened and they said the right bump and it would have came disconnected and did the same thing over again. So basically they charged my warranty company for an improper and incomplete job. Very shady and unethical. But dont worry, I cant do nothing about it according to the owner Bill because hes good friends with Zurich and thats his warranty company not mine. Guy is so immature and juvenile. Spent better part of an hour playing word games trying to instigate me just to have an excuse not to provide service. Which worked eventually because after nearly an hour of him repeating himself and beating around the bush I had enough. The last time it was towed to Albion Ford it was damaged either on the way or while there, looks more and more like Albion Ford. The steering wheel leather or material is scratched pretty badly around the bottom perimeter of the wheel. And the rear bumper looks like it was rear ended or something hit it. It has scratches and chips that were not there and suspiciously my car was all buffed when I got it back as if they had tried to hide the damage. I first asked them about it and they directed me to tow company and basically said not a chance that they could have damaged it. Tow company provided video and explanation of why the damage wouldn't even make sense for what they did. The owner and service manager at Albion Ford are claiming they witnessed my car being dropped off the flatbed. Claim to witnessed seat belt wrapped all around my steering wheel. Claims that they have video to prove it was dropped and had seat belt on the wheel. However, I asked repeatedly if I could see it was told no. Bill and Neil claim to witness rear bumper hit the ground first yet my car was on a flatbed with the front facing backward so the rear bumper wasn't even first down. And the damage is not on the bottom of the rear bumper. A complete lack of integrity going on at this place. I was willing to accept maybe an honest mistake was made but after the unethical and rude treatment I received and the juvenile games Bill played it became obvious that most likely they are fully aware of what they did and are willing to play these games to try and distract from the fact they are responsible. If they are not responsible, why act so immature and why not provide the proof they claim to have? Bill also made sure to remind me that he doesn't need my or anyone's business so I surely hope you think about that before shopping here. You are doing business with a man-child who does not value his customers and instead insults them and wastes their time with immature games instead of being a respectable businessman and doing the right thing. Save yourself the headache, the insults, the money, the time without a vehicle, etc etc. This is not where you want to do business, trust me. I wish more than anything I would have listened to everyone who tried warning me and all the reviews and signs that basically confirm everything Im saying. This place is shady and unethical. Once they off their junk cars on you, its screw you! Quite literally because I got screwed. this place is a joke. An embarrassment to Ford. Took my flex in for a crank no start. 5 minutes of googling told me exactly what the problem was, but they sleaze talked me into believing I was wrong. They had their "master technicians" troubleshoot the thing for almost a week. Had to "wait on a part" for 3 days. I called another Ford dealership 20 minutes away who had the part in stock. I wish I had seen this review prior to my encounter with Erick Ritchey(salesman) I talked to him AT length as to the color of CAR I wanted and I was absolutely insistent about the EXTERIOR COLOR and the INTERIOR COLOR of the seats. How hard is it to get something you ask for? I told him I didn't want a BLACK interior and wanted the bronze color exterior that was like the new 2019 exterior ECOSPORT....."No problem"...a few days later I call him and he says " I found the car with ALL things you wanted!!" Right....this #*(&-er lied to me. Of course, he was smart...he didn't show me the car UNTIL the papers were signed. Not only that, but he lied to me about the way they would handle the turn in process of the lease. I ended up with $1100.00 bill.....and NEVER in all the years I have leased a FORD have I had to pay ANYTHING when turning a car in HOWEVER, lesson learned. PLZ if you are looking for a great deal....go somewhere else.....if you don't go elsewhere it's a pretty good bet that you are going to get lied to swindled or whatever you call it. Don't let Erick Ritchey be your salesman.....if you do, you'll get screwed,you can be sure of that! read more
