After struggling with a snap hook for most of the fitting, he explained a few things. I'm a visual learner, so he demonstrated what I was doing versus what I should try to do and first swing was 308 yards down the middle with a beautiful fade. By the end, I was able to get up to 250 with a consistent fade. My son-in-law had a ridiculous slice that has now been reduced drastically. We played Oakwood Park the following day and I hit 64% fairways with only one miss left (and that's because I aimed there and hit it straight). In addition, my wife found lots of clothes she liked, a wide selection of shoes (great selection of g/fore, her favorite), and found a putter much better suited for her visual alignment (she got the Ping GLE3 Fetch). Overall, I couldn't be happier with the customer service, especially when compared to another major golf store just down the street. Also, the fitting for the drivers didn't cost an additional dime. Refreshing considering Max spent over an hour trying to get two very bad golfers in and down the fairway. Will definitely be doing my future golf shopping here.

The NHL jerseys hanging…read moreon the wall are fake and bought on Chinese wholesaler websites for cheap, then sold to customers for $180. Not a great selection of gear, especially for goalies. There are minimal options of colors in specific gear and sizes. When ordering specific gear through them, expect a week or more wait for arrival of order. You can find a lot of the gear they offer online for similar or cheaper prices with quicker shipping. A majority of the sticks are top of the line (most expensive) and have signs of use from kids "testing" them for extended periods of time in their shooting area. If you use a popular stick specification such as hand, curve, or flex, you most commonly will not find the stick you're looking for. A standard skate sharpening has been raised to $10 and you should only expect a good sharpening from specific employees. In the long run, buying a Sparx or asking a friend to use their Sparx would be more cost effective. Besides the owner and a couple of the full time employees, most of the employees are high schoolers with little knowledge of sizing and information about the gear they are selling. Overall, I do not recommend shopping or working at Hockey Haven.

I was then forced to get additional services (puring - aka snake oil) on my irons despite my requesting not to have that done. I got charged double the material cost of the clubs I purchased ($800 for 2 new volkeys). They quoted me $1400 to "pure" and install 7 dynamic golds. I walked out of there and got them online for $320 and paid my local muni $200 to install and swing weight them. To put the cherry on top, my fitter sprinted through the quote package, which almost led me to overpay even more. TLDR: I walked in, got told I was right about everything, then was charged double to 3X retail price for components.
