Excellent Generator Installation Service - Highly Recommend A&A Genpro…read more Since we had a few storms back to back in Houston I decided to shop for a whole house generator. The last 2 storms all generator company's has been busy servicing and selling generators. After getting some quotes I decided on working with A&A Genpro the entire process was great and exceeded my expectations. The installers are very professional and hassle-free. The install team arrived on time and was extremely knowledgeable. They explained every step of the installation process, answered all my question. Quality of Work: The installation was done efficiently, with attention to detail. The wiring and setup were neatly done, and they made sure the system integrated seamlessly with my home's power supply. They also took care of any permits and ensured that everything was up to code. The customer service was excellent. Pricing: I found their pricing to be competitive, especially for the quality of service I received. Overall Experience: I'm very happy with my new generator, and I feel much more secure knowing that I won't lose power during an outage. I highly recommend A&A Genpro for anyone looking for a reliable and professional generator installation service.

We had a sales person (Matt) came for an estimate for standby home generator on April 30, 2026. We…read moresigned the contract and paid for a deposit with credit card. We applied for their Synchrony Bank payment plan with no interest for 18 months. After sales guy left I checked the location of the proposed area and saw that there is a vent there. I called and emailed him. He said he didn't know what type of vent but the generator is vertically 5' away from the vent and 5' away from a window. However, the generator is NOT 5' horizontally from the vent. We also told GenPro sales guy it takes 30 days for HOA approval. GenPro emailed us the estimate on May 5. I applied for permit with HOA on May 5 after talking to sales guy and receiving his drawn in generator in my pictures that I sent him. Meanwhile I emailed our builder (May 3) and independent home inspector (May 6) to find out what type of vent is near the proposed location. We thought the fresh air intake vent is on the roof. It took them a few days and we received replies on May 6. They confirmed that it is the fresh air intake vent. So when the generator emits carbon monoxide it would travel approximately 59-60" up into the fresh air intake. Yes I took into account the concrete pad and the top of the generator. I measured the vertical distance from the height of the generator to the bottom of the vent. On May 6, their install team emailed and said they would do installation on May 18. I told GenPro to hold off on everything as I am waiting for HOA approval and I am not comfortable with the proposed location and need to do more research. This was the same day I received replies from builder and home inspector. GenPro then sent a field supervisor to my house on May 8 to answer questions. He said GenPro would move the location further along the wall and we would not have to pay for the extra electrical and gas trenching cost. This would mean there is about 20' between the generator and AC where we can't push the lawnmower in. We have a narrow lot. We do not feel this is best for us. In addition when time comes replacing the AC unit would have to be lifted above the generator. There is no gate on the side with the AC and proposed generator. Meanwhile Synchrony Bank charged us 50% of the balance on May 1 (over $6,000). I received an email of the CC balance on the account and it is due 6-2-2026. I did not receive the Synchrony credit card in the mail until May 11 and have not even activated the credit card. I have emailed GenPro on May 11 to cancel, request deposit refund and charge back to the Synchrony amount. I have not heard from them. BEWARE of this company. The sales team just cared about making the sale. If I had not questioned the proposed location GenPro would have installed the generator at a location that is UNSAFE and possible leading to death. See my picture of the vent and GenPro's marked up of where the generator would be.

Last night I had a power failure, called the 3 phone numbers I had and today there was no return phone call. The generator did not come on do to an ongoing problem with cut off switch and computer board. Avery tried to fix it twice and is definitely not skilled in generator repair. They have a technician named Giancarlo who is excellent and he took my phone call last night @ 9:30 PM. he promised me he would let David, the owner, know today and still no callback. I have had trouble getting return phone calls from the very day I ordered the generator. I definitely would not do business with them but I do have a warranty with the and a service contract and both seem to be worth zero. I am going to contact Generac and see if I can get any satisfaction from them. They should not be selling their generators to SpringGenerator.

At 1st he installed with wires running exposed to the outside elements. Told him that was not the way the old was installed. At first, we had a heated discussion about technical capabilities and he un-installed it. Came back 30 minutes later with instructions from his dad, David, the owner, on how to do it. Bottom line.. It now works and David has agreed to handle our repairs himself in the future. I advised him that I had "no confidence" in dealing with Avery. His technical skills and customer care skilks are not ready to address my needs. Normal maintence would be handled by their regular staff...change plugs, air filter and oil. I belive in second chances...not 3rd chances. I hope we can have a happy go- forth point onward. I upgraded from 1 to 3 stars on my post...the other two will have to be earned. I've scheduled (at additional out-of-pocket cost) a 3rd party to come out and review Avery's work later this week to be sure install was done correctly and will not burn out the Generator or new battery. This Generator, though 15 years old has been reliable. 2009 vintage. 11.4. 24 We used to get good service from SPRING GENERATOR. They have been out 4 times and have not followed thru. I had Quality Generator out exactly one time and they got the Generator up and running 1st visit. SPRING wanted to sell me a NEW $14,000 Generator! They, Spring, did not change the oil or plugs or air filter and we have a multiple year maint contract with them. They finally did the service upon my insistence, but they were told to leave the old filter...they did not. They took the old battery charger and I asked before they left if they put everything back the way it was... he (Avery) said "yes"...they did not... he kept the external battery charger which is REQUIRED for my unit to work. He was to return it and install a replacement on Friday, 11/1/24, he did not. He says he called and left a voice message on Friday, 11.1 24...he did not. He now says he will do it today, Monday, 11/4/24. We have been down since Berol. Avery's Dad, the owner, called me and said they were MUCH cheaper than anyone else...he also asked me to retract my post on Avery and his company saying he wanted a satisfied customer....do you think I should... given the pure lack of service and follow thru?

If anyone is looking for an electrician, we highly recommend Carolos Esparza at Esparza Electric…read more Our requirements were somewhat unique - we were adding a transfer switch and batteries to an existing solar array. We knew exactly what we wanted, but finding someone to do the installation was a challenge. We reached out to more than a dozen companies - some who specialize in solar as well as several traditional electricians. Some flat out said they weren't interested, which I respect. Others said they'd send us a quote and we never heard from them again. We eventually found Carlos. We really appreciated his ability, and willingness, to problem solve. We had to move existing wire, add a transfer switch and cutoff, and run a lot of new wire and conduit. Carlos came up with a really clean design. He was great at communicating and always did what he said he'd do. If he said he'd be at our house at 8:00, he was there by 7:45. That has not been our experience with a lot of contractors. Our inspector flagged some stuff that wasn't part of this project and had been approved a couple of years ago under a different permit. Our initial design was approved by one group within CenterPoint and rejected by another. Carlos just rolled with it and made sure it was right in the end. We're really happy with how it turned out. I'm sure Carlos would do a good job with any project. But you should definitely call him if you need someone creative and flexible.

I have used Nextdoor Electric once for actual work and also obtained three quotes from them. My…read moreusual electrical company, Blue Electrical Contractors, was super busy so I decided to try Nextdoor based on their Yelp reviews. I had them take down an old outdoor ceiling fan from my back porch and install two new ceiling lights: one in the same spot as the ceiling fan and the other over the seating area to provide more light (see photo). The job cost $572 which I thought was a little bit high, but I wanted the work done. Two big issues with the job: First of all, the technician didn't install the round ceiling light insulation discs in each fixture (see photo) which is to my understanding required to meet Underwriters Laboratory requirements. (The insulation is used to reflect heat from incandescent bulbs.) He also cracked one of the plastic conduit hangers so that it was actually broke. I found the insulation thrown in the garbage and had to dig them back out and have the technician come back to put them in and replace the broken hanger. Also, wasn't really keen on the fact that he used plastic hangers vs. metal to hang the conduit. Another issue was that I wanted a multi-outlet switch in my garage changed out to a standard outlet; see photo. Nextdoor quoted me $187 to change it out. Caido, from Blue Electrical Contractors stopped by and I had him look at it. It was only a cover; Caido unscrewed one screw and the regular outlet was underneath. I could have done it had I known this. It took Caid 5 seconds to take the multi-outlet cover off and he didn't charge me a thing. Okay. This is ridiculous! $187??!! This shows me the technician from Nextdoor Electric didn't even know what he was quoting. I was speaking to Caido from Blue Electric about Nextdoor and how I will never use them again, but can't understand their great reviews. Caido was telling me that Nextdoor's reviews could be fake and/or purchased. I really am questioning these reviews. I will never have them do any work for me again. Go with Blue Electric the next time you need electrical work; I have used them for years.
