[[HIGHLIGHT]]This super cool high end restaurant was a real treat for my birthday outing this year.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Many cool drinks were available and I tried two. Service was stellar and the food was excellent! Don't miss this gem!

I wasn't having a good day physically and so I was a little more picky about how I want my food prepared however they accommodated me in every way they accommodating me with less spices and changing the vegetables it was much appreciated. The service was excellent. It lobster bisque is not my favorite ..[[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed the freshness of the food and the service..[[HIGHLIGHT]]we were invited downstairs to the speakeasy which evidently is private however, I just once again wasn't having a great physical day so I will be back to go to the speakeasy that's attached .. looked so cool ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had our valentine's day dinner here, perfect romantic vibe for it ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 3 course preselected dinners, great cocktails and our waitress sabrina was on top of it at all times, super attentive to us and our needs. Also brought crème brûlée and a flower on the house for a bday gift. Make reservations ahead of time!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice and intimate experience for a Saturday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Street parking was easy to find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as you walk in, there are freshly grown plants and garnish used in dishes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had reservations but shockingly it wasn't crazy crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was polite but unfortunately they all looked short staffed and tired. Our appetizers and entrees were really delightful. The Thai rib meat melts in your mouth. We both finished our plates to say the least!

First time coming to Alchemi last Saturday night and had a reservation at 7:30pm. Took a few minutes to be greeted by the host but was quickly seated. Unfortunately our waiter took a bit to greet us but did take our drink orders. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed or what happened this evening but pretty much everything we ordered took forever to get to us which is the reason for losing a star on the rating. I don't believe it was our waiters fault as all the drinks were fresh and the food was hot when it arrived. Aside from that issue, everything we tasted at Alchemi was phenomenal. We started out with a few cocktails and the crab and shrimp cakes and immediately knew this was going to be a delicious evening. The cakes were so soft and melt-in-your-mouth flavorful! We ordered the salmon and NY strip for our entrees and were pleasantly surprised at just how amazing they were! The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned and had just a hint of spice. It was wonderful! I had the NY strip and I have to say it was definitely up there in the top steaks I've had at a restaurant. The crust on the steak was amazing but perfectly cooked medium rare inside....and the chimichurri!!! To. Die. For. The smashed potatoes were also mouth-watering! The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of were the veggies but that absolutely did not matter lol Last, we had the crème brûlée which had a perfect crust to crack and was delightful! Overall highly recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was small but mighty with its dark atmosphere. Nice music that isn't too loud and very sweet staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we tried to order the French press coffee, our waiter wouldn't let us because they ran out of the beans and the press they ordered was not the right one. He flat out said, "no," when we ordered but then proceeded to explain he couldn't in good conscience charge us for that when all they had was Folgers! Good man :)

Thank you alchemy for a beautiful dinner and night out for my lovely wife and I. Sabrina was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. She was smart funny and had us laughing all night. As far as the food goes if I could give it six stars I would. We had the stuffed dates and then we shared the lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the lobster and shrimp pad Thai, which we had to take home because we were having such a fun time drinking wine and enjoying the atmosphere. Chef Johnny even came out to say nice and take a wonderful picture with us. Thank you to everyone at alchemy for making our anniversary so enjoyable. Bringing the family back for a Sunday brunch.

Alchemi is Royal Oak's best-kept secret! We had an amazing experience from the delicious fromaggie focaccia appetizer to the shared entrée with crab cakes, salad, and a flavorful cioppino. We ended with coffee and butternut squash cheesecake perfect finish. With Sunday brunch available, we'll definitely be back as regulars!

I would consider this more a place for drinks than food. We got the fancy cheese dip and Thai street ribs for starters. The cheese was too fancy and kinda bland. But the ribs were excellent. All their craft cocktails tasted fresh and each one was worth trying. Dwight's temptation was by far my favorite. For main courses, I got the wagyu beef strudel. It's delicious! The other dishes on the table were the lobster shrimp pad Thai- very plain, lamb ragu- absolutely no flavor, not sure what happened here, and the chicken tikka- the rice it comes with was without any seasoning but the chicken tikka and the flatbread it came with were very good. And I can't leave this review without telling you how amazing the crème brûlée was; I can't do it justice, just get it. It's exquisite. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant with very attentive service. I will definitely be back!

4.5/5 so I'll round up to 5 stars. Alchemi had been on my list to try for a while, and I found myself in Royal Oak on a Friday night. I had checked earlier in the day and surprisingly they had a ton of reservations slots still open, so I snagged a 7pm one. I think we arrived maybe 15 minutes early and they were still able to seat us. I had a rum drink which was very good, it kind of tasted like orange juice. My boyfriend had the smoked Old Fashioned and was very impressed by it. We started off with the Thai spare ribs and these were also very good, albeit a bit pricey. I had the chimichurri steak for my meal and my boyfriend had the salmon with curry sauce; mine was excellent and he said his was really good too. He also had the Corpse Reviver drink, which had really cool presentation, and the Madagascar Express martini. For dessert we shared the cherry creme brulee which was also delicious. The only reason Alchemi gets 4.5 from me and not 5 is because our waiter got very busy with other tables, and water refills became a little more scarce, about halfway to three-quarters into the meal. This is the former Mr. B's location, also, and I was impressed with the way they renovated it. I'll definitely be back at some point, as all of the food was great.

The establishment was really beautiful! The service A1, the food was really good accept the seafood dish, it was bland had zero flavor. I suggest adding some pizzazz aka seasoning to the dish, bring it to life. The owner is involved and introduces himself which I really appreciated. Downstairs is the entertainment.

This is the 2nd time I've been here. The food is excellent and imaginative. The farmers salad was excellent. So were the crab and shrimp cakes. I would have been happy with an entree size of them! The rib appetizer was good. For my main I got the wagyu beef strudel which was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the ambience of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing I have a complaint about is the drink prices. $17 for a very small drink (yes it looks pretty but 4 sips later its done).

As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.

Just one burger option and limited toppings. Server was very nice but didn't write down the order, and when it came my burger was missing the cheese and onion. I wasn't sure if they would take it back or what so I didn't eat anymore and it took her a decent amount of time to come and check on us after we got our food. I let her know what was missing and she said it was her fault and asked if I wanted it fixed. I said yeah and she went and got a cold piece of cheese and slice of onion and put it on a plate and gave to me to put on my own burger. I'd expected a little bit better service and I'm certainly not someone who demands top tier service from every spot. Fries were crispy but needed some parm or an aioli sauce to dip in. Also minor note but I had some fries left on my plate and when she came to collect plates I had food in my mouth so I couldn't say anything but she took the plate and my fries! They should always ask if there's any food left on the plate. Burger was decent overall, but definitely nothing special. Environment was cool and I'm sure they have got some other delicious items on the menu but for the price paid and service received, I'd go somewhere else next time.

We entered through the back entrance and were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. We quickly found a table for two, and our server was attentive from the start, bringing water right away, answering our questions, and walking us through the wine and beer selections. My wife ordered the Beet & Salmon Salad, while I chose the Crispy Chicken Club with white cheddar and house-smoked bacon. The sandwich was absolutely incredible--hands down the best crispy chicken club I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the combination of flavors was outstanding. I also stole a few bites of my wife's salad and was pleasantly surprised by the yellow beets. I'd only ever had red beets before, and both varieties were prepared beautifully. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the fresh ingredients.
