Dear Alchemy43 Team, I've been a loyal client for over two years, regularly coming in for my usual facial sculpting treatments. I've consistently had frustrating experiences with management--particularly around the lack of clarity regarding your pricing, discounts, and promotions. My most recent visit was especially disappointing and felt like a clear bait-and-switch. I was told by the manager that if I spent $100 or more, I would receive 1cc of filler for free. I initially planned to get Botox, but ultimately opted out. To my surprise, my final bill ended up being more than what I would have paid had I simply followed through with the filler promotion, yet my final bill was almost 3K ...Not only was this confusing, but it also felt deliberately misleading. The technician I saw was nice, but the results were mediocre at best. I could not tell if there was much done. What's more troubling is that nearly every visit over the past two years has left me feeling like the priority is upselling additional treatments--not providing genuine care or clarity. The persistent push to spend more detracts from the trust I once had in your brand. Today was the final straw. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I believe no client should leave feeling misled or undervalued. read more

I went in for Botox excited about the buy 20 get 20 units of Botox deal. I usually get 55 units and was quoted almost $700 including the free 20 units. I pay $375- $450 at Peachy depending on their promos so I was honest with them and did not go through with Botox aka did not waste an extra $300!!!... they immediately charged me $80 for cancelling which I will be filing a claim for on my credit card. The whole experience was pretty terrible. I very much recommend getting your money's worth at Peachy!! read more

I signed up for a membership based on the promise that it could be canceled anytime and that I would receive discounted services. However, the experience was far from what was advertised. The service prices listed online are misleading, as I was quoted a much higher price in person. I ended up paying over 800 for Botox that is more then I ever paid, and was given a 'free' chemical peel that caused severe issues. My entire face broke out, and I had to miss a week of work due to the inflammation, eventually needing prescription steroids to recover. When I contacted them to cancel my membership due to the complications, they refused, insisting I pay $100 for the final month, citing their contract. Any reputable business would understand the situation and waive the fee, considering the expenses I've incurred and the time I missed from work. A different dermatologist I consulted informed me that they should have never performed the chemical peel in the first place along with Botox. Plus they did not test my face for reaction.I strongly advise staying far away from this place. read more

BEWARE!!! I've had an awful experience here and I am writing this review as a PSA. Don't make the same mistake I did. Please read this before going. This is the only place I've ever been to for lip filler that doesn't allow touch ups if they mess up your filler/ and will price gauge!!!!! (My lips were completely uneven) I sadly found this place in a Facebook group with great reviews and decided to try it out. I've previously had lip filler before about 9 months before so I understand the process. I noticed during the procedure that the injector was spending a lot of time on one side of my lips and I thought that was interesting but I wasn't going to question it cause she's the professional not me. That was my first mistake. I swelled up immediately so the injector said my lips will go down 50% and we will not be able to see the final product now. After a couple days I messaged her concerned that my lips were uneven and she reassured me it was swelling and to wait the 2 weeks. I patiently waited 2 weeks and as the swelling went down it became more and more uneven. I went in for my 2 week appointment and they insisted it was still swelling and I would have to wait until 4 weeks. They then told me if I wanted more filler to fix it that it would be another $500. I tried to explain to them this isn't one of those "you didn't put enough in" cases and that all i want is my top lip to be even on both sides since one side is severely under filler. I agreed to wait another 2 weeks even though i was leaving for a trip and was extremely insecure about it. I just went in for my 4 week touch up yesterday. They finally agreed that it is uneven but instead of apologizing and agreeing to fix it they BLAMED IT ON THE ANATOMY OF MY BODY. They told me that changes in the anatomy of our lips over time can cause migration and fat loss. (Migration happens over months/years not a couple weeks lol) and I previously had lip filler (I have not aged much in a year lol) I told them how awful it is for a company to make me wait 4 weeks then tell me it's MY FAULT this happened and they would refuse to fix it and that I would have to pay $500. Listen, I am not spiteful over the injector, I understand mistakes can happen and with how much I swelled yes I'm sure it happens, but the fact that a company is taking this situation to price gauge me for more money is disgusting. I just booked an appt elsewhere today to get this fixed. PLEASE anyone coming here take this into consideration. I have attached a picture of my lips before with previous lip filler from almost a year ago (proving that it is not the anatomy of my lips) and then I have attached pictures after this time. My advice- go to Ever/Body or Plump!! Do not waste your time/money here! My appointment was May 31st. I have attached pictures with the time frame. ***update: they have contacted me to fix this. See photos in original review: I'm updating that I now have to spend $500-600 to get this poorly placed lip filler dissolved 1.5 YEARs later, as another reputable injector doesn't want touch my lips. Also, I have permanent scarring from the absurdly aggressive micro-needling that caused my whole face to turn into a scab (which they blamed me for, yet a microneedling should never cause this level of damage). The pink spots eventually faded but are a different color than the rest of my face that really shows in photos, and the skin looks damaged. Did I mention their attorney had reached out to me at some point but then never returned my message in response? What was the point? Please, go to Plump or ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

This has been my go to spot for the 4 years. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always answer all of my questions. I love that I leaving feeling great each time and my treatments always make me feel my best. Oh and I can't forget, they carry all of my favorite skin care products as well. I had a bad experience dealing with this company- and have permanent damage on my skin from a procedure there. Do not recommend! My facial skin looks worse than before and I have vertical lines on my neck that are weird and awful. They gaslight me and act like that's normal... Really depressing. read more

I love this spot! I first went in regarding the promotion for "the perfect pout" that I saw on IG. I made an appointment and was nervous, I met with Odessa and she explained all of the products to me, then she let me touch a model to see the differences on the fillers! Wow. I went with Juvaderm Vobella, as it's more natural looking and feeling. Honestly, they made the experience so comfortable and there was som pain when they do it, but the numbing cream helps! Then, afterwards... my lips were a bit puffy, but I loved them. When they came down, I missed them!! Haha! I've become a huge fan!!! I went back for my 2 week appointment and here I am, I added .5 of Juvaderm Ultra to layer and add just a bit more to my pout, and it was great!! The team is amazing. Odessa is fabulous! She did my lips and is a professional in all ways in helping you get the best outcome. I have been going to Alchemy43 since 2019, met Odessa who was knowledgeable and recommended the right amount of dosage of Botox that left me looking refreshed. When I came back to NYC, made an appointment via Ally, was told Odessa had left and I would be seen by Akis, on March of 2021, after our consultation and his suggestions, we proceeded with the Botox, as he injected, he tapped on the needle every time, not sure why but at this point, I thought that's how he was trained, so I didn't speak up. The next day, I had small bruises at every pin point that he administered the Botox, oddly never had bruises like this in my lifetime of getting Botox but nothing could have been done to remedy the bruises at this point. So Just when I thought the bruises were fading and all would be well. My Botox wore off at week 3!! NEVER HAD THAT HAPPEN BEFORE! Wtf! I thought, I reached out, came in to speak with Akis, he did state that he administered well below the FDA standard for my forehead area, & that is why it wore off so soon. The price I paid for that amount, in my opinion, it should have lasted more than a month. There was clearly an additional up charge. My gut feeling was to get out of there. Thanks but Hell No"! Never had this many issues. My fiends had referred me to their clinic of MD's that they have seen over the years. My mom actually gets her Botox at peachy on Hudson street in NYC. I should have listened to them but wanted to stay loyal to Alchemy43. But from my experience recently, all we are to Alchemy43 are $$$. I had a very similar experience to other reviewers. After a very bad botox experience with side effects I wasn't warned were a possibility, I sent pics and was told to come in again so they could "fix it." There, I was told it could actually not be fixed and blamed my anatomy and that they would do it differently "next time" though I would NEVER go back here. Customer service called me later and told me they could offer some solutions at MY expense (costing more than my original treatment, no guarantee it would help, and the same things I was told in-office would not help.) They also refused to refund the botched job they did on me. Every one of my friends who get botox elsewhere insist this is not the typical experience and noticed how bad it looked before I did (it's been 3 weeks and it's gotten worse with each passing day.) read more

AVOID: botched lip filler. I dislike leaving negative reviews for a business, but my experience was so negative that I felt I had leave an honest review so other people can be aware when making such a personal decision. When I first came here, Nov 2019 for 0.55 of lip filler I was treated by Odessa who did an excellent job. She took the time to listen to my needs--to keep my lip shape but add a bit more plump to it. I was thrilled with the results. The second time I came here, September 8, I was treated by another injector, as Odessa switched locations. At the start of the appointment I began to share with her that my expectation was to get the same treatment as was done last year, 0.55 of lip filler and to not alter my lip shape. I then started to show photos and she told me she didn't need to hear anything else, and said that Odessa is slow at injecting and she is much faster. I thought this was unprofessional, but I let it slide to my best judgement. When she started injecting she was rushing so quickly that she poked my right breast with the needle. At the end of the procedure she told me she decided to alter my Cupid's bow and my heart sank, as this was NOT what I asked for. Then 16 days since the produce my top and bottom lips are asymmetrical, I have two lumps, one that was blue due to the filler being placed superficially, a crooked smile, my top lip was very hard and hurt a lot when touched, (after two weeks most of the swelling should be gone), and my top lip was bigger than my top lip. Devastated by the results is putting it mildly. I went to the office 16 days after injection to see if they can course correct and I was told that "everyone has asymmetry." They wanted me to wait another two weeks, massage twice a day to see if the asymmetry and bumps would improve. If they wouldn't, they would then consider giving me dissolving filler for free--interesting to charge a client to CORRECT their mistake. Overall, it felt like they wanted me out of the office as soon as possible, and hoped I would forget about the mistake. The next day, I went to a highly regarded dermatology center, who upon evaluation confirmed my lips would not improve over two weeks, due to incorrect injection techniques and I needed to dissolve the filler immediately. They also noted that massaging your lips would not correct the asymmetry. Given my experience with Alchemy 43, I did not trust them to dissolve my lips, which needed three sessions at a cost of $600. This was a painful and disappointing process and they were unwilling to course correct with the appropriate steps. Please do your research! EDIT: I contacted their email as they requested, I shared my story and was told I'll get a call back. This was two weeks ago and I'm still waiting. read more

Carissa is a gentle injector who listened to me when I told her I wanted to look natural natural natural! Last week I attempted to get a service at Alchemy43. I was excited to try a new place that had decent reviews online, especially which the very affordable promotion. After I got to my appointment I was rudely addressed at the front desk and told to sit down without even a, "Hello" or "Please." After waiting there for 15 min, I was then ushered to a different area to wait for about 30 minutes? At no point was it ever communicated to me how Alchemy43 works and the process of waiting 90% of my time there. My appointment was scheduled for 5:30 pm and I was finally taken into a tiny box of a room at 6:15 pm. I had to wait another 15 min LONGER to see anyone. It was approaching 7 pm by the time I had my numbing cream on and I was going to be running late for another engagement at 7:30 pm. NEVER would I have thought a 5:30 pm appointment would bleed into plans two hours later. I ATTEMPTED to get someone's, anyone's, attention by leaving the room and physically searching for people but there was truly no one around. Picture me, panicking with numbing cream on, after having been in the windowless room for 45 minutes without anyone coming in for even a quick update. At 7:15 pm, I realized I HAD to go, so I wiped off the numbing cream and walked through your doors with *no one* at reception. I wrote an email to Alchemy43 with no response. I owned my part in the matter and apologized for leaving without properly expressing my time restraints, however, it appears they are understaffed or overbooked or more likely, a poorly managed combination of the two. Let me reiterate that in the two hours I was in Alchemy 43 I solely got my face numbed to oblivion. Unfortunately, I will not be able to come back and try their services and will be giving my business to a competitor in the market.o read more

Be very cautious if you care about your privacy. I came here for Botox and was happy with the work. Then they posted my FULL FACE before-after photos with a fake quote on their Instagram!! I found out about this because a friend sent me a text from another acquaintance who had screenshot the post and sent around to a group of friends. I have no problem discussing things like Botox with friends, but this left me feeling really exposed. I'm typically thoughtful about reading through consent forms and look for things like photography consents for social media. The problem is that they have you re-do those consent forms many times, every time you come in-- so now I'm second guessing myself and thinking-- did I miss that box one time and unwittingly enable them to post my image?? That is not a good experience and really degrades my trust in their establishment. read more

I really wanted to like Alchemy 43, but ended up leaving my consultation without treatment. I came in to have my micro treatment of 10 units of Botox refreshed. My previous treatment was done by a doctor at another practice. I loved the results from before but was curious about Alchemy, so stopped in to see what the hype was about. The practitioner at Alchemy was unsure about using so few units and said I would need at the very minimum, 20-40 units and would have to sign a waiver. I have previously consulted with an experienced derm and another doctor about micro treatments, they each recommended 5-10 units for my needs. I am aware this is less than what Allergan recommends, but this is what a "micro" treatment is, and can successfully be done by an experienced professional. I really feel that Alchemy pushed for more units. And it makes sense, as their price point per unit is quite low, they want to make the $$ by selling a ton. Not to mention, I waited an hour to be seen that day. This business seems to be about ensuring a high volume of clients and a high volume of units. Please do yourself a favor and seek out a practitioner who you can build a relationship with. Take good care of your beautiful face! read more

I work in front of the camera (as a lot of us do!) and I'm no stranger to microneedling, but something about my last visit here (2/25) has made all the difference. I honestly feel like it was the attention and time the specialist took with me. I have never been left with numbing cream for 30 mins (she was super thorough) with this, I think she was able to really concentrate on the task and hand, and Im reaping all the results 8 weeks later. There was also a 15 min cooling mask she out on me afterwards, which I've never gotten from any other place I've been. Again, they took the time out. So much pressure to get more and more units, the front desk staff were great but the injector was argumentative and annoyed when I tried to ask about getting less units and explain how many I had previously / the look I was trying to achieve. I was quoted one price in the room and charged over $150 more - when I reached out to provide feedback and ask about the price I just got 'thanks for the feedback we will pass it on', no option to make good and they tried to get me to come back in to show them what was wrong (however with too many units.... what are they going to do??) No way would i go back and be pressured into spending more with them. In the room the woman also said 'Women in their late 30's to 40's need at least 52 units' (I'm 31) and 'Well you've got a lot of wrinkles which is why you're here' (I have small fine lines on my forehead. When the front desk worker came in to explain the costs, I calmly asked if it was possible to go with less units, then I overhead him go to the nurse and say "He's freaking out and is asking about less". They were transparent about costs and procedure. :) I just wanted to also take a moment to say that my experience was great because my RNs were kind and really listened to me. They put me at ease, were knowledgeable, and professional (yet relatable). I forgot their names (Odessa?), so please acknowledge them. From the minute I arrived I was impressed. Everyone was pleasant (though lots of annoying upselling), the space was clean but unfortunately my injector had horrible technique. She left me looking like a neanderthal, with very heavy eyebrows sinking, and asymmetry and headaches. This is not an accident; its what happens when you don't know what you're doing and have terrible technique. When I went in for my followup she agreed I looked an effing mess, said that someone would reach out and of course no one ever did. The aestheticians are good, but the business model is scammy: upsells that resulted in too-long visits, and a 'membership' that was extremely difficult to cancel. For me, the 'membership' didn't result in any actual savings. They say you get 15% off Botox, for example, but without the membership the undiscounted per unit price was the same. If you really prefer them, in any event, I strongly recommend against the membership. read more
