Nice place and great people work here. The Grilled Chicken Taco was O.k., hence the 1 star demotion, but the Quesa-Birria Taco was awesome. I was bummed that I was by myself because I would've like to take a bite of a few more tacos but 2 filled me up nicely. read more

From the same people that own Rolling Stoves just a few doors down owns Peace Tacos. I gotta say it's pretty good. A little bit pricey but that's okay. Depending on what you want you can spend 10 dollars here and be happy. The people are nice and it's very welcoming. Today I got one grilled chicken taco and one fish taco. Both were good. I also got their peace bites which are tater tots. If I don't tell y'all anything. It's an amazing deal. 4 dollars for fresh crispy tator tots and they're not stingy. 3.5 stars!! I gave 4 just because the nice decor inside and they have REAL PLANTS Inside!! My faygo rock n rye barria taco was pretty good 3 out of 5. My crispy potato taco was 4 out of 5 I really enjoyed the dips/sauces they gave me! My bf's nachos were sub par maybe 3 out of 5 he was not that impressed we both wish this place had quesadillas!! the service was fast since we were there at a non busy time the staff was super nice we might come back here in the future- if you like Beria tacos and rock and rye Faygo soda this place is definitely for you! my favourite menu item was definitely the potato tacos. They did it much better than anywhere else I can think of. We had been waiting for the opening of Peace Tacos from the moment we heard the owners of Rolling Stoves had another operation incoming. We tried an array of different tacos on Taco Tuesday, and everything genuinely blew me away. The flavors were fresh, the textures were on point and crisp instead of mushy. We also tried the queso (amazing), and the tater tots. The tater tots had a little lime flavor to them and had the perfect seasoning. We will ABSOLUTELY be back, and once again, the owners allowing for a discounted day makes it real easy to justify a taco Tuesday for this busy family. read more

This was my first visit to Peace Tacos. Usually when I think of going there, which is on Sunday, they are closed. I haven't gotten their hours down yet. Their location is a bit obscure, on the former KFC site, on the edge of a small strip mall next to the BP gas station, so it's hard to notice they're even there. This time, it was a Saturday, and I was in a hurry. I ordered a birria taco and a couple of chicken tacos. I had them in less than 10 minutes. The tacos were a little pricey, but I have to say that they were excellent, and I'll be back for more. The menu is very simple. The restaurant looks a bit stark but is clean and modern. I did takeout, so I wasn't there for the ambiance. Their tacos come in a nice box, so they stay together and you won't worry about spilling them. The employees were friendly, and that always brings me back. I recommend the those birria tacos--one or two will probably fill you up! read more

The restaurant is clean and welcoming; very aesthetically pleasing. The service is top notch, but if you've been there to Rolling Stoves, you wouldn't expect anything else. The food is amazing. The peace tots with the cilantro lime crema is full of flavor. So far, I've had the crispy potato, rock n rye and birria taco. Each is unique, and was delicious. I don't want to be the first hater but here I am. Location is good, pleasant staff even though we only interacted for a second. The inside is cute but seemed empty. My bf did not like his tacos and said the fish tasted frozen. I actually liked the rock n rye taco but the birria taco was weird tasting and I didn't finish it. Tortilla chips, salsa and queso are obviously not homemade. The queso is pretty much like what you get from the can at a festival and the salsa tasted like jacks special (which both are delicious btw but you can't be a "Mexican" place and not make homemade dips). I love that The Rolling Stoves opened a taqueria! The location is clutch and the storefront is welcoming, the inside even more so. Spic n' span inside with friendly staff waiting to take your order. I came in to try most specifically the Rock n' Rye carnitas but I order a little of everything....salsa, grilled chicken tacos, a crispy potato taco, and a couple Rock n' Rye. The menu is concise but it covers all the bases. They didn't have a taco of the month that I saw but I'm looking forward to that. I didn't order a fish taco; I didn't think the fry on the fish would travel well back to South Lyon but it sounded delightful. Overall, I dug this place. The Rock n' Rye tacos have a BBQ sauce on them that's a step away from what you might expect but it jived well. The grilled tacos were really good...I think they were topped with their avocado crema?...a splash of hot sauce made these muy bueno! The salsa was fresh and really solid. Service was excellent, came in on lunch and everything was done quickly... Workers brought the food to our table which was appreciated. Rock and rye, fish, taco of the day being the pork belly, and I took a bite of my girl's birria, all of these things were tasty. The tacos left me feeling full but not heavy, indicating all the ingredients were legit and not like TaCo BeLl. I am giving Peace Tacos a 5 Stars because the Faygo Rock n Rye Carnitos was so delicious. We also ordered the Gilled Chicken Taco which was very good, and the Beer Battered Fish Taco. The man and women running the place were friendly and helpful about the choices we made. My husband and I are not fans of Lime, Cilantro, Chipotle, Pico de Gailo, Avocado, or soft shell Tacos. So there was a lot we had them leave off our Tacos. Please go and try them out. You're going to want to order at least 2 Tacos. Get the Rock n Rye Carnitas Taco, you will not be sorry. The food was good just not very Mexican, lacked spice, queso dip was just melted cheese, the sauce they provide with the tacos didn't add much, needed some Jalapeños maybe on the side. The only way to add some Mexican flavor was with the bottled sauces. read more

Wow!!! When I first looked at the menu, I was surprised that there were so few options and the list of tacos appeared meager. By that I mean, not many options or familiar ones either. Do not let that menu dissuade you from one of the possibly best flavor sensations your palate will experience. I was blown away! I had the chicken tacos and my husband had the beef brisket corn tortilla. The amount of flavor in that chicken taco (without adding anything to it) was incredible. I don't think I've ever eaten something with so few ingredients that had such depth and lightness of flavor. I think I can count on one hand how many times my husband has spontaneously commented on a meal (and that's after 40 years of marriage); he said he would definitely get these again.
