The reviews here aren't too great so I was a bit apprehensive, but we honestly had a great experience! We were sat right away and served complementary chips and salsa. The menu is quite large so it took a while to read over, but we started with the guacamole dip, which was a huge portion for the price, and delicious. This review is just for delivery. We have done DoorDash from here a few times and it's usually pretty good, depending on what you order. My husband loves the choriqueso dip, which is like a queso dip with sausage, and I agree - it's very tasty. I have been ordering the chicken and cheese quesadilla, which is reasonably priced at $9.99 on DD, and a carne asada taco, which is just okay, it's literally just seasoned meat and the taco shell. The quesadilla is really good though so I'll probably continue ordering that. read more

I Normally go to the Waterford location. Staff are super friendly, food is always hot fresh and flavorful. The restaurant itself is super clean, and charming. A group in Southern California, and went to a reputable Mexican restaurant for many many years. Also, I not learned from my neighbors next-door how to make enchiladas. The enchiladas served at this restaurant are nothing more than semi heated corn tortillas with beef to tucked and a little bit of cheese and enchilada sauce on the outside. They are not baked. Our first time here and we will come back. I ordered the fish tacos and they were ok - first time I ever got fish tacos where it was more like crumbled fish and not a filet. I would definitely order something else next time - it tasted ok but the crumbled texture was not too appealing to me. However, hubby ordered a combo platter and loved every part of it. Naturally I sampled everything on his plate and enjoyed it thoroughly. When my friend told me about El Patio and their 5 tacos for $5 Taco Tuesday special I was skeptical. I live in San Antonio which is basically the taco capital of the US. It takes some serious tacos to impress this girl. These tacos are seriously legit my friends! Crispy, stuffed with your choice of beef or chicken and topped a generous amount of cheese it's a filling meal for $5. Even the complimentary chips and salsa is delicious. I like a thicker salsa with some spice and El Patio didn't disappoint. There was chunks of onion and cilantro with a nice touch of heat. The chips came out hot and were lightly salted. El Patio has a fully stocked bar and a large menu offering a variety of Mexican cuisine. Maybe one day I'll try something else but the $5 Taco Tuesday special is hard to beat! read more

Checked this spot out for the first time. It's just west of Haggerty on the south side of Ten Mile Road. Convenient location. The first two things I noticed that need to be fixed ASAP were that the big overhead sign if only half lit up. Then both front door handles need repaired. Not a good start. Inside, there is a really nice bar running the depth of the place to the left, with dining to the right. Nice layout. The greeter / cashier is hidden from the front door, to the right and back a bit. It's not real visible from the door when you enter. The menu has the usual Mexican dishes you'd expect, along with some "new" items that looked intriguing. Prices seemed fair. We had beef and chicken burritos on this excursion. Both were very well prepared. Generous portions. The chips and salsa were also very good with generous portions. Service was efficient and polite. No issues. This seems like a good go-to local spot when you're hungry for a decent Mexican food meal. read more

Our staff got carry out from here today. Ordered 3 chicken tacos, a chicken burrito and some chips and salsa came with every meal. Each staffer got some chips and salsa with their lunch. **Update: Both my fiancé and I were terribly sick after eating here. Beware if you eat here because as I mentioned in my review, the food appears to have sat out for long time before we received it. Yuck! My fiancé and I tried this place on a Saturday night at its new location (10 Mile/Grand River) as we were frequent visitors at the old location. We were disappointed and hope that it improves as time goes on. We were seating in the bar area and got chips with salsa but our waiter didn't come so eventually the hostess asked if we got drinks - we said no. She brought us drinks. Then we waited another 10 minutes and I finally went back to hostess and asked for menus. We were ready to order and finally a server came. The food took more than 20 minutes to come which is longer than user but we realized it was busy on a Saturday night. When the food arrived, both of our retried beans were literally stuck to the plate because they had probably been sitting under a hot lamp waiting to get served. The rice was hard. My chicken tacos were good but could have used some more flavor. My fiancé said the chicken fajitas were good but again needed some more flavor. Our total was about $25 for two meals and two diet cokes plus tip. We will come again to give it another try but hopefully it's better than this. read more

We went to El Patio on Sunday evening. I was in mood for some cocktail so we ordered Margarita -Peack & Lime and ofcourse I loved Peach more than the Lime one. Like most of Mexican Restraunts they serve you complimentary Chips & Salsa to get started. I was really craving for Nachos so though to give it a try and ordered cheese Nachos. To be honest, i should have been more careful and asked sever before ordering it was just chips with melted cheese which was not something i was looking for so if you are cravings real Nachos i will not recommend this place. We also ordered flan which was good as well. Apart from that i loved their service & drinks. It was more family restraunts than date place so i would suggest to plan accordingly. They had outside seating area which i kind of liked personally but i guess it was closed due to rain.I would love to try their food next time i plan to go. read more

I was recommend to try this place and it was better than I expected! It's a strip mall and the decor doesn't blow you away, not in a good way anyway. The salsa is actually good and they serve their tortilla chips warm which is the way I like it. We ordered their cheese dip and it was good with lots of nice flavor and thick enough to make it stick to the chips. I ordered one of their burrito fajitas with steak and smothered in their cheese sauce. It was good, I really liked their steak, the flavors came together nicely. The menu said cooked to order but they never asked how I wanted it cooked and I didn't want to take any chances by pushing it and it was well done but still quite good. We also ordered the beef chimichanga which also came smothered in their cheese sauce. What can I say they apparently like to smother everything in their cheese sauce but at least it's a good cheese sauce! The chimichanga was good as well, same type of meat which was tasty. We didn't have any leftovers which is telling because the portions were not small. The service was not what I expected, the drink refills were quick but we had to point out that we needed more chips and more salsa and didn't come and check on us what we thought about their food. Come to think of it, one of the rare times the waiter didn't ask if we wanted dessert. It's well worth it because of their food though. read more
