Ordered some high end architectural recessed LED linear lighting on prior occasion five years ago from Alcon Lighting. The "wall wash" and "direct down" light bars have held up excellent and are very good quality. They have worked so well, and look so good, I RE-ORDERED again from Alcon (Andre, sales consultant). He is very knowledgeable on all products Alcon sells, and actually suggested an alternative to what I originally had thought to purchase. Not cheap lighting to buy, but extremely unique and excellent high quality. Fixtures have high lumen output and come in several kelvin colors plus color changeable.(Note: both lumen output and white colors have options) . The lights run cool and do not raise the room temperature. Lighting absolutely "makes" a room or office. Would Recommend Alcon lighting Co. This past week I was refunded for the fixture that was returned thanks to a new client experience manager who took over the case.

Bought 40 Lights from this company. They were delivered and once installed the lenses sagged. I emailed this company in February of 2020 and the company sent out plastics clips to try and hold these sagging lenses in place. We added the clips in but still the lenses sagged. After the pandemic hit in March the company did respond to my warranty claim for 90 Days. It was not until I called the bank to get my money back that they finally contacted me. However, they did not contact me about the warranty issue they wanted their payment for their broken lights. I explained once the warranty is taken care of I will make a prompt payment. The company continued to send me clips and lenses that do no work. David Hakimi the owner does not know how to run a business or take care of his customers. He showed up at the location where the lights were installed with an electrician and came to the conclusion they need more clips. David mailed more clips out, however he mailed them somewhere else and proceeded to text me and/or email me telling me I'm a liar and that He has proof that I received the new clips. He found out later he mailed them to the wrong address. Yet never apologized for his mistake. Lastly once these new clips were received we installed them and the lights continue to sag. David contacted a creditor to collect his money stating that the product was working and needs to be paid. We paid for the lights as David would not allow us to return the lights to them he refused to accept that his lights were defective and poorly manufactured. To this day we are still waiting for Alcon Lighting to fix their lights. They refuse to help us out stating that they know the clips will work and that they don't plan to help Out any further. See attached images. I would highly recommend taking your business else where. I see from their reviews there are others with a very similar experience. If you are looking for something cheap then you might consider one of those box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. However if you are looking for a designer product with an affordable price then this is your place of bargain. I recently remodeled my house and I purchased all my recessed lighting thought out the house from Alcon. They also helped me with dimmer switches that are compatible with my LED lights. I also went back and purchased my landscape lighting and under cabinet lighting in all LED. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful. Even when I had a minor issue they contacted my contractor and sorted things out. I already recommended this place to other friends and family and highly recommend them. Both us and the contractor talked directly with Alcon before ordering product. What they described was just what was needed. We placed the order and when it arrived it was determined that the driver would not fit with the canopy as described. After numerous emails they agreed to provide new canopies. When they arrived the end customer did not like them since they were not what he was expecting and it had taken too long to get. While I understand these were made to order items, being that we were mislead as to what we were getting I would think they should be returnable. Nope, not a chance. I purchased 17 LED under-counter kitchen fixtures several years ago. A couple of them failed prior to the five year warranty period and others began to fail just after. I expressed my disappointment to Perris Weber Alcon's lighting sales specialist. After contacting the manufacturer to discuss the issue, they agreed to replace all 17 of the fixtures with an upgraded model with all of the fittings. I favor patronizing "Mom and Pop" stores. I am not a fan of the big box stores. When my pin CFLs reached the end of their lives after six years in use, I decided to buy replacements from Alcon's storefront on Robertson. They have every kind of bulb under the sun. I bought 3 new identical bulbs. One them had a problem. It continuously flickered. I tried it in another fixture. It flickered there also. The other bulbs did not flicker in either fixture. So I immediately brought the flickering bulb back to the store. They have a nice return policy: "In-store Returns with an Invoice: Returns with an invoice are accepted within 60 days of original purchase date indicated on the invoice. We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If you are not fully satisfied with your Alconlighting.com purchase, unless otherwise provided for below, we will give you a refund for item(s) returned. All returns are subject to verification of original sale. Alcon Lighting reserves the right to limit or deny returns." The man there refused to replace the bulb, blaming it on my home wiring. I hate this type of petty arguing for a $4 bulb, like I'm trying to pull a fast one. I am never coming back to Alcon. If I had made this purchase at a big box store, there would have been no questions asked. read more

Lights are nice and happy with the look, Customer service on repair or replacement of lights that came damaged is falling on deaf ears. It's been 6 months since I have asked for service and nothing has been done yet. Whole reason in working with them was Made in the USA, but I guess it only goes so far. Taking the issue all the way up to the GM and to no avail. I may say to find another company with better service. Paid a pretty penny for them, expected better service after they were paid in full. Thank goodness for Alcon Lighting! I went this weekend to find some LED lighting for my living room, so I drove all the way to Home Depot. Went to the Lighting section and the salesperson had no idea or knowledge of the various new products or technologies. I was lost in a sea of products with my iPhone researching like crazy. They have a nice showroom on the westside and their staff is well versed and trained in all the latest LED lighting products for your home and office. Horrible service, quality AND prices! The picture of the light fixture they showed us looked so good, however whatever was on the pic and in reality were very different things! First of all we found the same light bulbs and rings at Home Depot for half the price, second of all very unprofessional installers... We wanted to return everything the next day BUT they said no returns at all, then agreed to a return with a 50% restock fee but only for the rings not the bulbs, bulbs were not returnable. We calculated and turned out their 50% would cover twice as much product so we just kept everything and lost money on bs product. All of their stuff is in the closet in a box now. 2 months after all this they called us to tell us they didn't charge us for the bulbs and we either will get charged or we have to return the bulbs. To the question How come we weren't charged? The answer was: I HAVE NO IDEA! LOL Seriously? The most unprofessional company we've ever dealt with. read more

So if you have ever, ever been unsure of where to buy exceptional quality light bulbs of ANY kind, look no more....what a gem of a place.....I had driven past in a number of times and kept meaning to drop in to resolve some major issues I was having with my boutique lighting....I knew the moment I walked through the doors that I was in the RIGHT place. I was greeted with a big smile for the owner Jake, and immediately he asked 'Can I help YOU?".....well we all know how difficult is is to get service these days, I was really pleased to hear this as I walked through the front door! Jake apparently studied lighting design and in 2007 opened this wonderful place. Not only did they have all that I needed at a fraction of the price of other high-end lighting shops, he also guided me to select a new bulb for my VIP dressing room that will remain cool while still giving a beautiful light to illuminate even the Biggest Stars who grace my couture fashion boutique!!! So not only will my dressing room stay cool, the light will be gorgeous and much more cost effective. Sure the bulbs were a little pricy, however I am sure this investment will save me hundreds of dollars over the year in decreased energy cost, and that makes tremendous good business sense to me! They are such a TOP_DRAWER business, they sent me a follow up invoice by email and when it did not come through very well and I requested an additional copy by fax, goodness I had barely hit send on the email request and my fax line was ringing with the income invoice fro them. Their service is very impressive. The best thing was that he will also keep all my purchase on file, so I will no longer have to drag every light bulb I have in my boutique in there every time to try to match them up.....really you have no idea how important this is to me ad my time.....he has made me a client for life!!! As a real estate developer and general contract I highly discourage against using Alcon Lighting. We've order from them several times and have yet to place an order without an incident. They sent the wrong fixtures, the right fixtures in the wrong colors, they were painfully late, and overcharged. I cannot stress this enough, steer clear. read more

I drive by this place all the time thinking it would come in handy in the future. Today it did when I treated my favorite lamp to a new electrical plug (the cord was ripping from the original plug and I'm nervous about electrical fires.) The nice gentleman at the counter gave me a new plug (it didn't match the black lamp but I was still happy.) He then detached the old plug and attached the new one. After 10 bucks my lamp is good as new! Note that this place is old school- no automatic receipts, only hand-written invoices upon request. Also, the yelp posting is correct about the hours- they are incorrectly listed as closing at 5pm during the week on their website. read more

Friendly, attentive, very helpful... and sold me the wrong product twice. Long story short: I needed to replace a fluorescent light ballast. I brought in the entire fixture which contained the two bulbs and bad ballast. They sold me a different model ballast. It didn't work at home - the lights only glowed. Even worse, a second fixture that had been working blew its ballast when I hooked this one up to the common power supply! I came back to Alcon with BOTH fixtures and bought new light bulbs and a replacement ballast from the newly blown one. I took them home. I tried them both and neither would work. Sometimes one would come on after 10-20 seconds. Then the first replacement ballast blew! I knew something was wrong. And it wasn't my wiring. I called Pico Wholesale Electric. The guy stopped me and said that people just buy the entire new fixture for under cabinet. He sold me the entire new fixture, including light bulbs, for a few dollars more than the wrong ballast and bulbs I bought from Alcon. Brand new fixture with lights in it for about the same price! The guy at Pico looked at the old and replacement ballasts and chuckled. He showed me how to read the model numbers. Once I understood that, it was clear that the ballasts Alcon sold me were totally incorrect! They were undersized no doubt. The guy at Pico said "of course" they blew. And I finally understood why the replacement ballast wires didn't reach the ends of the fixtures. It is supposed to "idiot proof" it so you can't put an undersized ballast in there. Yet the Alcon guy actually helped me wire in bridge wire to span the gap! So... very friendly and helpful, but either incompetent or willing to sell a product for an incorrect application. I would only go there to buy exactly what I absolutely know I need and I would carefully check every single detail of the product and receipt before walking out. This was an expensive, frustrating, and time-consuming education. read more

Great source for LED landscape lighting products. I bought some line voltage in ground led well lights for the brush in my front yard. Super thrilled with the products and dealing with Alcon lighting. A good majority of their products are manufactured in the U.S. so they're a little pricier but all solid brass. Built to last. Building a new, modern home and wanted an LED linear suspension light for the kitchen island. It is the epicenter, gathering place of our/many peoples home and wanted something special that stands out. And by the way, this home is to be showcased via our design + build firm to high end clientele, builders - a 4 day event with heavy foot traffic, in the thousands, focusing on marketing of various products (including lighting), subcontracters, etc. After the order of the fixture was placed and was assured timing wouldn't be an issue, the customer service has fallen off a cliff. I initially contacted Alcon three times in the past 1.5 weeks, was told the fixture shipped out on 10/10/2018 and that I would receive tracking information, I did not. Because we are now 7 days from a 4 day showcasing of the home, I reached out for a fourth time, pressing to know the status of the fixture. It has not shipped out and I still can't get it firm ship, delivery date. I'm not here to hate on Alcon, I just want to get our light in time for the showcasing. I want others to see their work. This piece was supposed to be a focal point for our kitchen and was/is excited for others to see a fixture/design which I'm 99% sure has not been done in our area. What I'm asking for is a sense of urgency, them to do whatever it takes to get our fixture by the showcase. What happens with our fixture today will be the make/break day. read more

I first walked into Alcon Lighting a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to replace some outdoor wall fixtures in my house with modern looking LED fixtures. I browsed their website and saw that they had a lot of good looking fixtures that I was interested in. I decided to make a trip down there to take a look at a particular fixture that I had my eye on. When I got there, they did not have the specific one that I was interested in on their website in the store to show me. My mind was already set on this one fixture, so I decided to purchase it and have it shipped to my house...I received it the next day! These guys were super knowledgeable about their products and really friendly. Their prices were very fair for what I was ordering and trust me, I did plenty of research before coming in. Little gem of a lighting store in los angeles. They sell only led lighting fixtures but their fixtures are high quality. I purchased my led track lights from them. A lot of fixtures on their website but be-careful because some stuff is built to order and they don't stock it. Also, one minor issue is that they don't have their own parking but i didn't have an issue finding a meter around the corner. read more
