For all this i bought it would usually be about $200 or more. Literally cut my grocery bill in half!

I'm sorry, but everyone against this store is crazy. Haha okay maybe not crazy, but it just isn't a good fit for them. I think they just need to understand that for some people this is the best store in Bakersfield. That is how I feel. I absolutely love this market and the employees. I had never heard about this store until a friend of mine posted on Facebook a receipt of her groceries. I couldn't believe everything that she had bought and how little she spend. I was in shock. I asked her if it was a food bank and she stated it was an actual grocery store. I told her I always spend so much on groceries and always end up with no money. She said I would notice a huge difference on my grocery shopping receipt even if I buy what I always buy. Let me tell you that she was right! I went a few days after and the store looks very nice from the outside. There is plenty of parking. What my friend had forgot to mention was that I need to bring a quarter with me. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A QUARTER. You need it to "rent" a cart to place all your items. I think this is a good way to avoid people leaving the carts outside. Also, you get your quarter back when you return it. Another thing people complain about that I honestly don't mind is paying for the bags. $0.15 FOR A PLASTIC BAG AND $0.10 FOR A PAPER BAG. I come from Los Angeles where you have to pay all the time in all the stores. It's something normal to me. I know a lot of people from Bakersfield aren't use to it, but you can always buy a few and save them. Now for the good stuff. The reason I love this store is because of the quality of the products and the savings. Once I walked into the store I noticed it was very organized and it reminded me of a Trader Joe's. I expected it to be about the same price range. To my surprise, the first product I saw was really inexpensive. I kept walking and noticed a lot of products that I would usually buy for half the price. I was shocked and didn't believe the prices. I was so excited I seemed like a little girl at a amusement park. My husband even told me to breath and calm down. I did after awhile, but now this is like my favorite store. They aren't as big as other grocery stores, but I buy as much as I can from here. If I don't find a product, I just move along and buy it somewhere else. They don't have everything you need, but it's worth the savings. If anything, I just go next door to Wal-Mart and buy what I am missing. I usually find what I need and I don't complain if I don't. My grocery bill is now cut in half and this is why I grew to love this store. Customer service is excellent and they will not hesitate to open another lane if they see a line getting long.

Aldi does not provide bags at checkout. If you require bags, you have to buy them. For 15 cents , I bought this colorful reusable bag.

After my * not so great lunch * at Panda Express , I ventured to Aldi next door to grab a few snack items and continue my road trip to So Cal. Aldi is new to California and I was curious to check them out. Since I was on a time schedule I had to *grab & go * Aldi promotes their own brands of products so, there's a limited selection of national name brands. All their brand items have very low prices. The one item which caught my attention was 25 cents for a pack of Hot Dog Buns. Yes, 25 cents ! I have never seen this type of insane pricing. I like the concept and format of the store. Wide aisles, signage, Cleaness, and adequate lighting.

Thats it! Not whole lot. And just Grape Tomatoe per such

Noticed Yelp gives 4 stars. But most often this store have less than dozen peoples shopping. 80% plus of Aldi carts always sits outside. 4 Yelp Stars???????? Funny! 300,000 peoples in Bakersfield. And this Aldi only has as regulars a minute portion of that. Count the Yelp Check Ins. Oh. 4 YELP Stars??? and ONLY 18 Yelp photos. 8 of which are mine. Wheres all the Love Enthusiasm Yelp Photos. Maybe many Patrons don't have Camera phones. I come here often. This Aldi is definitely no 4 Stars. Hmmmm. Walmart Neighborhood Mkt East Brundage Ln has by comparison 50-60 patrons quite often. Super Great store. And it don't get 4 stars. Gets very few Yelp reviews. I'll go to that WNM any time with tons to select from. And great prices. Update the 2 stars. What a Slop Shop!!!!!! Been here weekly for a month. Still No Yellow sweet patotes. No Wavy Hickory Potatoe Chips. Dairy case ran out many many many items. Like some OJ, LOWFAT Milk. Lots diff kinds yogurt. For days. If not week plus. Employee said Truck delivery in couple days Did buy frozen box fried chicken. Southern style. Under $6. You know like the Banquet brand at other markets. But tasted different. Ok taste. Less than full Chicken, also no wings. Appx 5 pieces. Heck at Albertsons or Vons you can get 8 pieces, hot fried for $5-6 often coupon sale. With magnitude better taste. Sept. 3.5 stars but not always. You can find some good deals here. Half dozen plus items here are my Fav. So we stop by Aldi everytime we Shop Walmart or Lowe. Haha. Clancy Mesquite Kettle chips is really not too BAR B Quieee. Actually maybe kinda hint Celery powder. I don't taste Mesquite tho. But ok in a pinch. We in this time to return an item. Went smooth and A-OK. With their return policy... Im satisfy to Aldi Explore. Really fine checker experienced today. Im impressed. Left Aldi with like 4, 5 items. Raising Aldi to near 4 stars. Have gotten some Happy Things here. But selections are limited. But you Do have to be careful in selections. I pictures their Organic Produce. Pretty limited! Really limited. Unlike I was to expect from Natalie O.'s yelp review of "Their produce is mostly organic and locally grown". No Way from my experience. But then again she stated had 5 yelp stars experience. I can see one liking to shop here, deals etc. But Aldi is a ways from 5 yelp stars. And really most Aldi's reviews in Calif is like 3.5 stars after things settle. So expect that after you done Aldi enough to know. If your Budget is really tight. Aldi would be a great friend. And in that one respect rating would be up there. As with any store there are many criteria to rate. So what brings Aldi to California-Wide Yelp'Rs Rating average to 3.5 WHEN balancing the 5 stars prices for Cheap prices??? Ain't that a Question. Will return again for the limited items we much like. OK. So in this last couple years... news saids Aldi got caught selling horse meat as Beef. Selling Swai fillet (June 2016) not tested for contaminants. Of Cource their vendors had to supply these items Cheap for Aldi to make profit selling these items so Cheap in their stores. Only Aldi had these recalls. Obviously Aldi can slide on quality control. THO on the internet peoples keep saying all their products came from major brand food producers. Funny! Thinking horse and dangerous seafoods. SomeBody is Cutting Corners. Yes I would rate some Aldi items like 4 stars. But I would also rate some items 1 or 2 stars max. Horse meat or tainted seafoods... I rate zero stars. And makes me wonder of Aldi Quality Control. I also think its Crazy for some Yelp'Rs to rate Aldi 5 stars. Sea Queen Aldi brand... http://www.foodsafetynews.com/2016/06/importer-recalls-fish-from-vietnam-that-went-to-aldi-stores/ Aug 3rd... OhChoc Covered Gramm cookies at Aldi now. Like under buck fifty. But no sweet potatoes in weeks

A Must-Stop for Plant Lovers!…read more I absolutely love stopping by the Cute Roots plant booth at Haggin Oaks Farmer's Market every Sunday! I always look forward to seeing what new and unique plants will be on display. There's something different and interesting to discover each time, which makes browsing so much fun. My favorite thing about this seller, though, is the attention to detail. Each plant has a label on the pot with a QR code that you can scan to learn exactly how to care for your new plant. As someone who loves plants but doesn't always know the specific needs of every variety, I think this is such a clever and helpful idea! The plants are unique, the setup is inviting, and you can tell there's genuine care and passion behind what she does. If you're at the Haggin Oaks Farmer's Market on a Sunday and love plants, definitely stop by Cute Roots. You might just find your next plant baby!

THEY ALLOW DOGS IN THE MARKET, on leashes, puppy carriers, dog strollers JUST NASTY........ FARMERS MARKET ???? I only see 2 or 3 vendors with produce, I originally hoped I t would get better over time. and nope it hasnt same 2 to 3 vegetable vendors same thing very week. 2/5 Stars I come here for 2 places Martins Meats 5/5 Stars and Howies Micheladas,5/5 Stars and other than that i don't even know why I continue to come here, I can get those any day of the week, I guess this "Farmer's Market" is not my particular cup of tea ,I have been spoiled in Ventura and San Diego all my life so im biased on the lack of variation of produce and vendors, I have tried to give them a chance, I usually am disappointed every time I come, nothing original, two or 3 places sell almost the exact same items here, and certain places are either out of what I want to get or they don't make that particular item the weekend that I come. I show up before 10am everytime and it hasn't made a difference if I showed up right before closing to get some Chamoy candies, and a Agua Fresca from Howie or some rib tips or breakfast tacos/burritos from Martin. Both 5/5 Stars Dont get me wrong for Bakersfield this is a 5 but we've gotta have more variety Final rating 2/5 Stars until they bring in some produce, and not puppies..

We got there right at 10am when they said they were supposed to open. The gates were locked. We finally waited in the little patio area (thanks to a thoughtful employee who saw us standing outside.) Employees arrived to open the doors about 10 minutes later. We were disappointed with the poor and meager selection and the prices were too high. I did end up getting some local honey and chicken and 1 peach. I haven't tried any of it yet. I don't think we'll go back. Maybe it gets better as the day goes on when they get more produce in?

Let me tell you about this Free Reign Jam in Cinnamon Pear flavor. I wasnt sure what to expect but I was Intrigued. It was bought, I made a piece of toast and took a bite. This bite wasnt just a bite, it changed my entire outlook on jelly or jams. It took my toast to a whole new dimension. The only way I can describe this flavor to you is to say I felt I had taken a bite of cinnamon toast crunch cereal with a slight pear flavor at the end. The pear was subtle and soft but the cinnamon stole the show. The jam has all natural ingredients, no weird named preservatives and had a opened life of 30 days. It wont last that long, I must go back to try everything there and so should you. I think this jam would be lovely with a charcuterie board. Invite me over if you do I will help you devour it .

They also have a loyalty program. They do have pretty much everything you might need for a 3 day stay. I personally liked that they had an array of vegan friendly foods (while not vegan, I sometimes do like to do 1-2 days of "clean" eating when I'm traveling). They also have a hot bar and a salad bar along with a deli. I appreciate that they have a wide variety of food, and on the hot bar they do change it up daily. The staff is very friendly and will definitely help point you in the right direction if you can't find something. Its a place I could see visiting over and over when I'm in town.

Where do I start?…read more The buffet is an absolute disaster A hot food and cold food are both disorganized and been sitting for more than four hours clearly especially the soups and hot buffet. Overcooked noodles, food counters, dried out, hotels with crusty food. Not a lot of energy pretty cold attitude. My 10-year-old son to use the bathroom and was dancing around pretty vigorously as we were shopping for our dinner and was sent to the bathroom three times the bathroom bathrooms were unacceptable due to their cleaning. I notified the Deli counter numerous times my 10-year-old boy needed to go to the bathroom. They kept shrinking their shoulders and giving us a code and said they don't know what to do. The options are: you clearly presented your signs and show that the floor is wet, which is relieving you of any liability if somebody slips and you clean one bathroom at a time while the doors are open and guest need to use a bathroom. Or I have to instruct my son to literally go and pee outside the door once they got the MOD. He came with an attitude. His name was Jaszmin. He argued with me. I clearly told him that my son is going to use the bathroom anyway because he has no choice. On another note: did not fit the small containers of soup so we gently put it on soup was bagged up from the very kind Check guy. He had a tattoo on his neck that said baby. Unfortunate thing was that the soup by the time we got to the car and sloshed and spilled inside the bag, creating it virtually inEdible due to the fact that we could not even open the bag. Then went back to the MOD Jaszmin and apologized for my assertiveness, but we needed to take care of my child going to the bathroom so we were left no choice. I was extremely kind and he turned around on me and I was accused of yelling at her staff. Both of my kids question that saying that I did not as well as I clearly did not I was very assertive, but I was not yelling. This team needs to know how to take care of their store. They can't take care of their stores. You can't take care of the customers. They clearly see now why they have a 3.8 stars versus some of the other properties they have 5 stars. You are going to finger point at me, perhaps you should point the fingers at yourselves and find out why people are complaining?. This is just another feather filled failed headdress. Customer service is what makes the product product doesn't make the customer service so figure it out and check yourselves No worry, we won't be back and I will be calling the BBB Boooooooo
