Very convenient location near to everything. Pizza prices very good and cheaper than most of super. Don't forget to get your bag with you

Owned by Jason Aldien. I think. It's a very expensive area. The richest county in the country. So Aldi can really come in handy when I'm doing groceries for my family reunions, which happen in nearby Manassas. I'm glad that there's a nice cheap shopping option here. Not the most well stocked Aldi I've been to, though. Long lines, almost every time I've been in here. But good products, excellent prices, decently friendly cashiers, and probably my fave non-International (as in not Global or H Mart or Lotte) grocery store in the entire region.

    Wine area is all mislabeled.

I'm not a fan of shopping out of boxes. This place reminds me of the Shoppers Food Warehouse that was in this location before Aldi. This place makes me feel "snotty" because I walk around and I'm turned off my the disorganized shelves, the bathmats in boxes right next to birdseed, which is right next to crackers. There is no logically way to shop for things. Do I look up or down for the prices? When I do find the item's price tag it is usually not near the item. Everything is so sloppy. The prices are cheap but all I can think about is, "it's cheap for a reason". Do I want to serve this to my family? They have started accepting credit cards, so I guess there's that.. Oh, and there's plenty of parking. Not a fan of "paying" for a shopping cart. Ugh. Never again.

Good selection of produce, dairy and bread at a reasonable price. I am an avid cook and I shop here on a regular basis.

Run far away from any dentist who might tell you otherwise, not that you'd find any with a license. What it can give you, however, is E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Listeria, Brucella, Cryptosporidium, tuberculosis, and Avian Influenza (H5N1) resulting in paralysis, kidney failure, and death. Before widespread pasteurization, milkborne outbreaks constituted 25% of all food and water based illnesses. Their seafood department deserves special recognition. The fish is exceptionally fresh, and the employees are knowledgeable and happy to prepare it however you prefer. That level of customer service makes a huge difference. The international grocery selection is one of the best I've seen. They carry authentic products from many countries, including items that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere. If you enjoy cooking international cuisine, you'll probably leave with more than you planned to buy. Another thing that impressed me was how clean and organized the store is. Everything is neatly displayed, making shopping easy and enjoyable. The staff is approachable, patient, and always willing to answer questions or help you find what you need. I was also amazed by the flower section. I purchased gorgeous roses at a great price, and they looked fresher and more beautiful than flowers I've seen at many traditional grocery stores. The fruits and vegetables were equally impressive--beautiful, fresh, and in excellent condition. Fresh World has earned a loyal customer. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding quality, exceptional service, and one of the best international grocery shopping experiences in the area. Five stars without hesitation.

You know, nuts, dried beans, dried lentils, and a couple dozen other items that were available by the pound, as they are in every other Whole Foods, including Ashburn. So I just did something I never do, and walked out, leaving my cart behind, on my way to go to Sprouts, which is next to Mom's - two actual health food stores, both of which sell bulk dried foods. ----------------------- Prior review ----------------------- We waited a year for this? Seriously? What a **HUGE** disappointment. Start with the cafe. Hoping for something as inviting as Fair Lakes, with beer on tap and indoor and outdoor dining? Or perhaps Ashburn's second floor with a two-level outdoor deck? Forget it. The indoor cafe area is about as inviting as a prison cafeteria. They had a year to build, a very large space, and a side parking lot that was always empty when this building was a Best Buy. Given they gutted the building, they could have cut openings in that wall and created an indoor / outdoor space. Nope. Let's just throw some tables against the front wall. The harsh lighting and being on display will ensure quick turnover. I've held team meetings at Fair Lakes, so we could talk over beer and burgers. Zero chance of me ever doing that here. Salad bar? I had hoped for a four-station setup like Ashburn, instead of the three-station setup they had at the prior Reston location. Nope. Just three, with one dedicated to soup, which means all hot food, prepared food, and salad offerings are spread across just two stations. Thus, the station for salad has half the vegetable and protein options Ashburn offers. Instead of five types of greens, it had two, plus browning iceberg, and significantly fewer vegetable options. No cauliflower, green beans, radishes, edamame, green peppers, etc. Protein? Instead of three types of lean poultry, it had one - rubbery chicken. And for non-meat-based protein, instead of tofu and 4 types of beans, it had black and garbanzo beans. Can you get a salad here? Yes. Will I? Given the selection, why bother? And beer? Well, the website claims a "world class selection," but the nearby Giant and Harris Teeter stores both seem to have a much larger selection, including local craft options. And while I was disappointed when I saw the beer options were largely limited to what was in a cooler, I was even more disappointed when I saw how much of that cooler was dedicated to seltzers and non-alcoholic content. Hey, those are great options, but how about a beer selection that motivates craft beer fans to come to the store? If I'm in the store and need beer, I'll grab something, but I'm not passing by Harris Teeter to come here for beer... and that means I'll likely pickup other things there as well. But hey, I did grab some Yogi tea while I was here, since I ran out last night. For $1 more a box than TJ's two blocks away. And while the place is clean, as you would expect at this stage, it has the ambiance of a fluorescent-lit big box discount store. Given the size of the space and the time they spent on the build out, this location could have been their flagship location in Nova. Instead, it's just another grocery store, in an area that does not lack for options, including a Wegman's, right down the road.
