Just as they opened, I popped in to pick up lunch supplies. Sliced cheese, sliced meats, some fresh keto-friendly bread. Perfect to assemble a couple of sandwiches that I would be sneaking into the library. This ALDI is consistent with the brand and I've been to nearly 50 of them from Hagerstown MD to Cleburne TX. Dry goods down the initial aisle followed by produce. Sauces, chips and canned stuff in the next aisle, cleaning and the "aisle of awesomeness" full of random stuff, and then frozen and drinks. Easy and consistent. ALDI requires a 25 cent deposit for a shopping cart which you will get back when you return it. And they do not provide free bags for your groceries (and that's a regular thing in New Jersey anyway) so remember to bring your reusable bag or you can take one of their cardboard boxes to carry. It is rare that I have any trouble with any ALDI stuff. Most of it is their own brand and it's good quality at low prices. Better quality and lower prices than Walmart and a better shopping experience, but they don't have absolutely everything. You may have to fill in the rest of your shop elsewhere. I am ambivalent on Aldi. Some products are great (cheap soy milk and eggs, for example, and their version of spreadable Irish butter is on my list). The fresh fruit I've picked up - most noticeably the strawberries and blackberries and raspberries - actually are so incredibly inexpensive. Others, like some of the bread products? NO BUENO. It's a great place to get quality food for low prices. This is my go-to places for nuts, avocado, veges, and protein bread. They helped me adjust to the no plastic bag policy coming soon and now I have 4 reusable bags in my truck. I want to add the store at this location has a solid parking area compared to a few in our area. So I always go here after a Kohl's return run, or Target run. Aldi is my go to grocery spot. Located in the shopping center next to the Cherry Hill Mall, the grocery store is easy to get to and always has ample parking. The store is well lit, clean and easy to navigate. Additionally the prices are amazing. I don't think any grocery stores in the area can beat their pricing on eggs or fruit. Let me start by saying that this isnt an Aldi's review...This is my first and last time buying this brand from there. The pie filling itself isnt bad, I like a sweet tasting pecan pie...however, the crust is another issue completely. Its brick hard, and super-thin, so you're practically getting fork or knife fulls everytime you try to cut into it. It's also very graham crackerish which isnt a nice addition when your talking pecan pie. At least not for me. There's no instructions about whether or not to heat it first to soften the crust, so I just figured it'd be ok as is. NOPE. Unfortunately for me, this pie is only good for the filling and not the complete pie itself. I just went with my friend to purchase butter which is on sale. We are two friends who don't live in the same household. Since I just did a surgery and using my walker, my friend was helping me with my groceries. Since we both bought butter together the same time the cashier and manager considered us as one customer. In the scope of Aldi's this is the best one I've been to. It's updated, clean, and has good stock - especially if you go in the morning. I came across Aldi primary after visiting the nearby liquor store and I had no idea what to expect, both from a presentation and also food selections. In short, it is a budget grocery store that's slim on the packaging and saves on the cost. While I don't mind food being displayed in a warehouse manner, I was a little bit disappointed by the overall selection. I think this is a place to go if you're not particularly picky or recipe-driven, as it has most of the common fresh and packaged meals. If you're looking for affordable groceries, look no further. Today was my first visit and I plan on returning. However, here are a few tips I wish I knew before I went. One, a quarter is needed to get a grocery cart (they are locked up, and you do get your quarter back at the conclusion of the visit) - if you don't have a quarter, the staff will happily lend you one. If you're looking for the antidote to Whole Foods or Wegmans, ALDI is it. Nothing too big or fancy here, just mostly cheap generic versions of standard foods. The location is clean and bright and easy to shop. One of the best finds is the fresh produce - it's usually high quality without the high price (think $1 avocados, $2 bag of baby spinach). To return anything, you may have to go to the back of any line that has formed due to no customer service desk, so go early or late because you'll have to wait behind existing customers in line. I'm sure this reflects savings to not have a special desk, however another employee not currently at the register should be called to accomplish this task. This was not offered. I am careful about being thoughtful of others, but when the cashier directed me to go behind the one customer at the register already (as I understood it), the customer told me it wasn't fair to the customer waiting (at a distance due to social distancing) in the beginning of a long line. I often let people go ahead (I had one item to return) & Aldi (Rt. 38) is my go-to for many items. If the cashier would have told me that since there was no customer service desk or. O one available & that I should come back at another time if I didn't want yo wait in the line, I would have left the store then. As it was, I went behind the customer removing items from her cart & was told by the customer it wasn't fair to which the cashier concurred. The cashier must have been reticent to tell me, likely because she knew it was a bad option to return 1 item behind a long line of carts. So with the customer, it was 2 against one now the cashier feeling safe to tell me that's what I'd have to do. I didn't want to say to the cashier "you didn't tell me I'd have to wait at the back of the line" as I mentioned to the customer the way it works at Dollar Tree as well - to go to the back of the line of customers purchasing. A sign at Aldi between the aisles says there are not supposed to be single lines for choosing the next available register yet that's the way it was being conducted this day/time. The line would have been shorter if there was a line for each register. I may have waited in that case, but I had to leave for an appointment. I had gone a different way home to make this "quick" stop to return an item. . Far be it for me to be unfair. I've returned items before & have not had this embarrassing complication. Too confusing! Find a better way, Aldi, for returns in order to serve all your customers' needs of the moment without costing you. I suggested it in the body of this review. There are too many store options for you to lose customers over a simple fix that's not always in place. If you don't have enough staff that day, simply communicate that. Thank you. read more

I do like Aldi, they are great for party food like cheese & crackers, chips,candy and nuts. Their milk, eggs and bread are well priced. But the produce is lacking in freshness, and variety. The real thing that Aldi needs to improve on is their meats! They have very little variety, and meats pre-packaged with added salt,water and /or other flavorings just is not appealing to me. I thought when they moved to a larger store maybe the variety and quality of the meats and produce would improve, but nope. Their employees are all very nice and helpful. read more

I'm not sure how long this Aldi has been here, it replaced some other "supermarket" that was here. I don't recall ever being to an Aldi, prior to this so it was a little different than I was used to. The off name brands, the need to purchase bags, not a problem, I just wasn't prepared. Also it was kind of cold, not temperature wise just the atmosphere, maybe because there was no music, no smiling faces, no real noise.. just an empty feeling. Anyway, I think their gluten-free options are plentiful... but their brand is pretty tasteless, it was very hard to eat. I went because I heard they had organic fruits at great prices.. I actually found their selection to be slim, no organic eggs or milk. I did find some nice prices a few seemingly good finds, but there is no way you can come here and only here on a grocery trip, maybe if you have a specific select few items you are in need of. Due to the close proximity and finding a few items I enjoy like chips and salsa. I will probably come back, just not sure how frequently. read more

I am extremely disgusted with the lack of quality that is progressively getting worse at aldi... Their ground meat labeled 85% lean is so disgraceful I can't figure out how they are getting away with it... A hamburger cooks down more than 75% in size when cooked and I made the mistake of putting it in my spaghetti sauce and it destroyed the entire pot.. Kept having to skim layers of oil off top and resulted in bitter nasty dark red sauce.. Boneless chicken breast so tough and chewy.. Never never knew you could get chicken like that... Their beef is likely horse or glued meat cause it has a fowl taste and doesn't cook right.. No flavor in anything that is supposed to have flavor... Soups gravys etc.. Where is the bargain?...
