As a Marylander, I always do a big wine haul when I'm in VA or DC!

I am new to Aldi, but I love it! When I lived in the Midwest ALDI was never known for being a high quality store so I have stayed away out East. I'm glad I happened to make my way to this store because it is great! The store is clean, the aisles are wide and the prices are just right! I also love the unique finds. I also took the opportunity to load up on wine since our local grocery stores in MD are sadly not allowed to sell alcohol!

It is Merrifield section Falls Church. Average wine section

I am not coming back to this particular Aldi. It is Friday afternoon and it shuts down to one lane. Manager walks out and eventually opens a second lane. So there 2 types of shoppers today. Those loading up for the week ahead, and people with less than 10. Both should be accommodated with multiple lanes. Plenty of staff around and you bring it down to one lane? I do love Aldis but with YEARS of retail, you never ever take a store down to a single register on a Friday. Will be checking out more Aldis but not coming back here. It took 3 minutes to exit a pretty generous parking lot as well. I love prices and specials but am from NY. We hate waiting!

    Look at these prices!

I am SO excited that an Aldi has finally opened close to where I live! This is my go-to grocery store and typically, I would have to drive across town to the Fairfax or Annandale location. If you have never been to an Aldi, this is a very basic grocery store. You have to put a quarter in the handle of the grocery cart to be able to use one, but get the quarter back when you return it. There is no music playing in the store and the staffing is very limited. When you go to checkout, get ready. They move very fast, which is awesome! You also have to pack your own groceries. They do sell paper and plastic grocery bags if you forgot yours for a very reasonable price. Most of the products that Aldi sells are not name brand items, however I can't tell a difference in the quality. They also sell German brand food and drinks here, which is fun. Honestly, I do all of my grocery shopping here because the quality of the products sold are great and the prices are amazing. Other than a few items that I buy in bulk from Costco, I haven't been to a different brand of grocery stores in months. I rarely spend more than $60 in groceries each week and that's for 2 people. If you want to save money, this is definitely the place to go.

This has become my new stop to shop for produce. Every week it differs, not all the vegetables and fruits are on sale. But once they are i stack up. The times that i have shopped at aldi, there are not much customers so there is more room to shop around and actually look at the different items they provide. The cashiers are fast! Sometimes one lane is open, but their good at communicating and they open other lanes when a long line starts to form. Overall this is my spot to do some groceries.

You're not going to get a Penzy's but the quality and taste are excellent and the prices are 1/2 of what you'd pay at Safeway or Giant.

After several years of unsuccessfully trying to start my vegetable garden from seeds, I'm now a convert to Nalls' seedlings, and I especially love getting seedlings of lettuce and other greens here in the early spring. Last year I bought some watercress and mustard greens, which tickled my itch to try new-to-me traditional vegetables. If you're getting plants here, check out the Budding Gardeners Facebook group run by Nalls. You can get support and advice on your plants after you get them in the ground without going back to the store. I'll also add that every Nalls employee I've interacted with, including all the young seasonal employees, have been truly so nice. A+ hiring, right here. Nalls is also a great place to get some native plants, such as Virginia bluebells. However, they still stock some nasty invasives, such as vinca. I'm currently battling long-standing patches of vinca and English ivy in my yard and am surprised and sad that otherwise reliable nurseries still stock them. Get rid of those, and I'll happily give y'all 5 stars.
