Everything here tastes so good and since it's more of a "breakfast" spot, it has items on the menu that your typical Thai restaurant doesn't have. My go-to items are the Thai Omelette with Shrimp, Roast Duck Noodle Soup, Tom Yum noodle soup, and Cha Manao which is Thai Tea with Lime. I've been here a handful of times and I absolutely love their Khao Soi. It's so creamy, rich, and full of flavor I can never get enough of it. I usually get the beef option and it's perfect with the coconut curry broth, crunchy fried noodles, and fresh veggies all working together so well. I also love dining in because they offer a variety of spice options. There's even a little setup with jars of different chilies and spices so you can adjust the heat to your liking. My husband wanted something sweet so we shared the mango sticky rice and it was so addicting especially with warmer weather starting to roll in. It really feels like summer is on the way !!! Amazing Khao Soi!! Best I've had in the South Bay. Delicious and rich broth and there's quite a lot of toppings too. The restaurant is clean and brightly lit. One of my favorite Thai places in the Southbay and in LA in general. They earned their bib gourmand recognition. Their palo pork stew, Khao soi, roasted duck noodles and curries the star of the show. Nice Thai food spot tucked into a plaza in Gardena. I feel like there's not too many Thai food restaurants out there, so it was nice to have a cuisine I haven't had in a while. For my drink I had the Thai Iced Tea which was great, perfectly balanced. Someone in my party shared their noodles with me, I'm not sure what the name of the dish was unfortunately. It was a chicken noodle and delicious! I wasn't too hungry today, but I would love to come back and have a bowl all to myself. I also had the mango sticky rice, which had a wonderfully sweet mango. Plus the service was great. When the worker came to take away some bowls, she picked up trash like a water bottle that we brought in and cleaned up any spills on the table. For this visit, we ordered the following dishes: Wontons Soup with Wide Rice Noodles: At the first sip of the broth, I was surprised by the flavor. It was clear, light but super savory, and hit your palate like a train and it kept coming. The wide rice noodles were perfectly cooked and slightly al dente. There were generous quantities of tasty and nicely springy texture wontons. And the party kept going with delicious fish cakes, lobster and fish balls in the soup. Khao Soi: This was an opposite dish from clear broth Wonton Soup. The creamy coconut curry sauce was rich and tasty, not too spicy nor sweet. The thin egg noodles were nicely al dente. The chicken pieces were quite tender. The slightly sour pickled veggies and a tad sweet fried onions gave a balancing taste to the sauce. Was in the area on a Sunday afternoon and decided to give this place a try. It's located inside a huge shopping center so there's ample amount of parking. It looks like the owner opened 3 shops. This one, a bbq spot and a hot pot spot. My wife opted to try this one out today. . We got seated right away and the waitress recommended the koi soi noodle soup so my wife ordered the chicken and I ordered the beef. It's all pre-prepped so everything came out quick. It comes with egg noodles and the flavor tasted like creamy yellow curry w a medium level spice. My wife said it tasted better after she added more chili. I thought it was spicy enough. Everything was really good but I thought they could give more beef. It was just a spoonful and I didn't get full off this. Overall: service was really good. The place was clean. The employees here were also very friendly, giving off homey vibes! I got the khao soi and my bf got the boat noodle. Both were pretty good! The khao soi was a lot lighter than I thought, which I thought the soup base would be heavier? Which it wasn't at all! Flavors were nice, a bit more on the subtle side. The boat noodle was very fragrant, pretty solid. We got the Thai iced tea to share and it has this really smoky flavor that I wasn't too fond of? We first started coming here during the pandemic over five years ago even then the food was out of this world as you might be able to tell by my previous reviews. Since then, in 2025 this small, unassuming noodle house has earned a well deserved Michelin rating and opened up a sister store across the breezeway in the quad ( excellent drunken noodles,by the way.) We were here again over the weekend and again, home run in terms of food (outstanding) and service (AAAAA). I cannot stress enough how important supporting these small businesses are... they were on the front lines during the COVID scare and kept us not just fed, but sustained ... think about that. Loved Sweet Rice! I had an order of the Tom Yum Ba Mee and Green Curry Chicken. Both were equally delicious in their own way. Service was friendly. They don't check up on you to see if you need anything else. They have a self serving water and ice station and cups for you to grab. The only minute issue I had was the lack of napkins. Their pad see ew is the best I've had in California! The way they fry the noodle with a hint of smoky flavor is very rare but it's the key for a good pad see ew. We went on a Saturday where they have more Thai dessert selections. I honestly wanted to get them all but will for sure make a trip back for more. This place is right next to my house and I think maybe my expectations were a bit too high cuz I was slightly disappointed. I came w my mom and she got the Thai beef noodle soup. It barely had any noodles and too much meat (according to her) and not enough broth. We contemplated asking for more broth but just decided not to because we were eating inside Bowl Thai and not Sweet Rice. I tried some of the broth and it had a sweet taste which I'm not a fan of. I got tom yum noodle soup. It was okay but it barely had any noodles and it was mostly bean sprouts and like 2 tiny little pieces of meat and the rest fishballs. My favorite thai restaurant for Tom Yum Noodle soup! You order at the front and go have a seat. They have self service water and chilli sauce racks you can take to your table. Your food is served rather quickly. I always get their tom yum noodle, its sooo tangy,sweet,and savory. Whenever they have many sticky mango available,I will order it! My friend and I have dinner at a different Gardena eatery every Friday and today we finally made it here after eating at Thai Hot Pot and Bowl Thai Grill. Food was just amazing! Incredibly flavorful and filling. I ordered the Khao Soi, my friend had the Thai Omelette w/chicken and we shared the Mango Sticky Rice. Oh, and I enjoyed the Dirty Thai Tea. The space is so open, inviting, and colorful. When you walk in you order at the counter and the food will be brought to your table. Staff is friendly and will check on you just to make sure things are okay but you won't ever feel pressured to hurry up. This was my 3rd time trying this place because I wanted to confirm whether my taste buds worked properly, and rest assured it definitely did not disappoint. They seemed to have increased their pricing from the previous times I tried them which made me a bit sad because i noticed inconsistencies: 5 different varieties of curry noodle ended up costing $84.83 the first time, 2 varieties of curry noodle totaled $45.17 the 2nd time. We didn't order dessert or drinks the first two times. Last visit burned $52.52 in my wallet, but still worth it on special occasions. I'd been wanting to visit Sweet Rice in Gardena for a long time and finally made it here in January 2025. We came for lunch on a Saturday and got parking in the carpark easily- they're located in a strip mall with lots of spaces. Sweet Rice was already busy when we came in around 12 ish, but we luckily got one of the last remaining tables and were seated immediately. From looking at the menu, it's clearly a place for noodle lovers. They had many different varieties of noodles with dishes that I don't often see on another restaurant menus. My husband got the duck noodles and I got the tom yum boat noodles. Both were very flavorsome and were delivered to our table quickly. The duck noodles were in a smoky broth that tasted like it was soy-based and served with a thin rice noodle. My husband really liked these and I did too. The tom yum boat noodles were also excellent. The tom yum broth was a little sweet, and it came with fish balls and rice noodles. The ambiance here is simple and casual, and good for a quick meal. Service is abrupt but friendly.
