    My favorite grocery

I was looking for Aldi and I found this spot recently. Today, I finally got to come here! So happy to have this grocery store! I love the vegetable products and fruits products! Quality is great and super affordable! Wherever I go, Aldi is always the go to place! Thanks for the great service to the community and keep up the great work!! Cheers

Ok Yelpers, aaa sort of lost of words for this place. Notice the parking lot is not full on Sunday after church. We'll here's a few of my speculations. 1) They claim they have low prices. But you have to pay for a shopping cart. What tha.....? 2) The selection is not the best and no name brands. 3) Nothing is really organized. It seems like the products are just thrown on the shelves. 4) Lack of staff at check out. I guess I could continue but, its just not worth it. I've shopped here twice. One with a pick up that I had a hidden fee. Still not sure what that was. The second was just to see what the inside looked like.. HEB here I come. Sorry I fill like a trader now to them.

Cauliflower a gluten-free pizza. So delicious on the grill.

Okay y'all, I often shop at (Aldi) in between my H‑E‑B grocery shopping. I like that it's a smaller grocery and you can get in and out quickly; and they have quality food choices. But what made me want to write a review is that I recently tried their cauliflower vegetarian gluten-free pizza. It's fresh not frozen. I don't recall seeing this before so it's a newer item to Aldi. Well let me tell you, it is so good. We put it on the grill, charred the edges; added some fresh goat cheese to melt on top with drizzle olive oil. So Delicious!! It's a simple meal to find; but nice for evening when you don't wanna go out and good for quick sorta healthy dinner to eat with a glass of vino. Give it a try folks. Also, some of the comments on the carts. I just bring my own study shopping bags so I don't have an issue with it. Already pack my items and ready to go at check out. Another cool tip is people don't realize the store is owed by Trader Joe's so some items are very similar; possibly rebranded but at a cheaper price point.

At first, the quarter for the cart and self bagging were an issue but for this price/value/quality - I'm cool with it now.

There are plenty of organic and better for you options, which makes choosing healthy snacks so much easier. The store is always clean, well organized, and fully stocked. I had an extremely poor curbside experience at this location…read more I placed a curbside order scheduled for pickup between 1-2 PM. At 9:00 AM, the app showed my order as "ready" and indicated that my organic whole milk had been substituted, but it did not list what the substitution was. I also realized I needed to add one more item, so I attempted to call the store. I called the store over 10 times throughout the morning and no one answered. Because the order showed as ready, I went to the store to pick it up. Upon arrival, I again called curbside -- no answer. I was forced to go inside, which defeats the entire purpose of curbside pickup. The store was nearly empty of customers. Several employees were standing around; one was eating. I spoke to a person who appeared to be a manager and explained that I had been calling all morning with no response. There was no apology or urgency. I was directed to another employee who appeared confused by the order. When I asked what my milk had been substituted with, I was told 2% milk, which made no sense given that I ordered whole milk. When I asked why it wasn't substituted with another whole milk, there was no explanation. I was then told that whole milk was out of stock. I personally went to the milk section and found the shelf fully stocked with whole milk. I brought it back and showed the employee. He said it "must have just been restocked," yet no one had bothered to check before making the substitution. I was then told that nothing could be changed or added to my order, and that if I wanted additional items I would need to place an entirely new order -- while standing in an almost empty store. At that point, I was told I could place another order and the employee could shop it, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside pickup. I paid over $140 for a small order, received incorrect substitutions, could not reach anyone by phone, had to walk into the store anyway, and still could not get basic service or flexibility. For the prices Sprouts charges, this level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I will not be shopping at Sprouts again.

The produce was well organized, and there were several employees restocking the shelves as we shopped. For this week, I wanted to get ingredients to make California rolls, Banh Mi, Beef Pho, Spring Rolls, and Hot Pot, and was able to find all of the ingredients I needed here except for the French baguette for the banh mi. However, since it's right across the street from an HEB, it wasn't a major inconvenience. We also picked up some pantry items like snacks, tea, and instant ramen, and they had a really good selection of items to choose from. Overall, I'm happy to have anotrrrhueuoyroyoutoutoor Asian grocery store in the Katy area to choose from, and the prices are comparable to 99 Ranch and Hmart. Since they recently opened, the store is not super crowded right now either so it's a great spot to do some weekend shopping for the time being!

I've finally made it to the original spot for the legendary soup dumplings. "Better than din Tai fung", so I've heard. I can finally confirm: these are probably the best soup dumplings in Houston. We arrived around 6:15PM on a Monday after leaving Spa World (yeah, I was off for the day after an exam). No wait, though I've heard it gets quite busy and it was still decent busy while we were there. Service was very prompt and didn't keep us waiting to put an order in, and dumplings came out hot! We got: #85 Tomatoes and Pork Soup Dumplings (5/5): Whatever they put in this broth, it's like liquid crack. MSG? Who knows. The dumplings come with the perfect texture and you can literally lift them up and see the filled soup inside. Not a single one was broken. The soup was fantastic and the dumpling was excellent. It's seriously the best I've had in Houston and maybe in the U.S. #24 Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun (4.5/5): It was a tad salty, but the scallion offset the pork really well and they were perfect small bites. #27 Spicy Pork & Shrimp Wontons (4.5/5): Loved the red sauce, great wonton texture overall. No extra dips needed. I'm definitely going to try their other location and it's totally worth the trek to this one. Awesome job to the team here!

Turns out, we were forced to acknowledge how good it was whether we wanted to or not... because yes, it really was that good. Tomatoes & Pork Soup Dumplings - I was exceptionally curious about incorporating tomatoes into soup dumplings, so I had to order these to satisfy my curiosity. Grateful to see they also had a thumbs-up on the menu to reinforce my decision. The dumplings were beautifully folded and didn't tear when picked up. You could actually see how much soup was packed inside--they looked like little jiggly water balloons. The broth was unexpectedly sweet while still being savory, with a very clean flavor. My BF said they were probably some of the best soup dumplings he's ever had, and I'd have to agree--they were pretty top-tier. These came out hot-hot. The wrapper felt a bit drier than other soup dumplings I've had, giving it a mildly chewy aftertaste that I wasn't fond of (I'm very aware of textures), but in terms of flavor, absolutely no complaints. It's important to note that I've never been as big a fan of soup dumplings as my BF is, but I admit this place converted me. Time to see how well it compares to Din Tai Fung. Spicy Pork & Shrimp Wonton in Red Oil: - Wonton - Very juicy with well-rendered pork fat. My favorite part was how delicate the wrapper was. After watching the dumpling episode of Chuuka Ichiban (Cooking Master Boy), I became overly aware of the thickness of dumpling wrappers. I have to admit this place absolutely nailed it--the wrapper was just thick enough to hold the filling, yet delicate enough that it almost melted away as you chewed. - Red Oil - Tangy and aromatic. Despite being an oil-based sauce, it didn't taste overly greasy. The seasoning and herbs gave it a signature spice that felt layered rather than simply spicy for the sake of being spicy. It actually grew on me the more I went back to it between the other dumplings, working as a great palate cleanser and taste bud reset. Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun - I'd never had a thumb bun before, but it's quite dainty, just as the name suggests. The texture was a bit firmer than I would have liked--almost like a stiff potsticker. All of these dumplings had a very pronounced pork flavor. I found this one a bit too salty compared to the others, perhaps because the soup dumplings and wontons were balanced by their broth and red oil. Maybe I just needed to dip it in vinegar (someone educate me). I tried it three ways: plain, accidentally in soy sauce, and finally in vinegar. The vinegar definitely mellowed out the saltiness, but this still wasn't my favorite dish. Service was fast and considerate throughout our meal. They refilled our water attentively and checked on us at a meaningful pace without feeling intrusive. I also noticed they didn't play any music here, but somehow the constant buzz of the staff moving around was comforting. The atmosphere felt peaceful and gave off very authentic Chinese vibes. Overall, we'll be visiting them again soon at their new location closer to us. #worth
