LOVE 99 RANCH! So many goodies and this is SUCH a clean location with lots of Asian goods. Treat yourself to some fried rice at the food court after getting your Asian groceries! Good number of sales and hard to find items.

Yummy tropical fruits, ready to EAT!

Nice big Asian-focused supermarket along Preston Road in upscale Frisco, TX Bonus feature is a nice Food Court with 6 eateries & seating. Food items are also pre-cooked and frozen in the freezer to re-heat at home, and some fresh-cooked entrees are in containers for grab & go diners. There is a bakery, with each item in nice clear plastic pouch bags. You can see what you are getting, grab it & go. Fancy celebration cakes in a cooler display are impressive. Food, ingredients, produce, noodles, etc for all the Asian cultural groups, labeled in English, and the cultural languages There are 12 big aisles, nice organization, and displays are clearly labeled. A gift shop features Asian-themed plush toys, posters, costume jewelry, makeup, teen-themed products. The shopping center also has 85° Bakery coffee shop, and a revolving sushi house. Everything all in 1 block!

As far as authentic Chinese/Asian markets in the north Dallas area, 99 Ranch is as good as it gets. My favorite part of the market is the deli in the food court. The food is authentic Chinese. It's worth trying the food if you haven't had it. If I have craving for dim sum or a lunch to go, 99 Ranch would be the place.

Love this store because I can make traditional Filipino food since it's hard to find some around here. I do wish they sold other Filipino items like bagoong (shrimp paste) and atchara (pickled papaya). This used to be my go-to place whenever I craved balut but they recently stopped selling them :( Also wish they offered steaming or deep frying services for the fresh seafood like they do in most of their CA branches. Still a great store to find a wide variety of Asian food ingredients that you won't find at your basic Kroger or Tom Thumb.

If you're looking for Chinese, Japanese, Asian, Korean, Thai, Indian food they most likely carry it, not so much American products but they have all the produce. I went there looking for the ingredients to make banana pudding and get some cash back. I found the bananas ok but they don't carry pudding in boxes or vanilla wafer cookies. So I just bought bananas and a bag of key limes and golden delicious apples. Their produce dept looked great and prices were good, carried some exotic fruits too. While I was there I thought I might as well check out the rest of the store. I have been to the 99 Ranch Market in City of industry, California it's the best, they carry a lot more and next to an indoor shopping mall. This store did not compare. The California store also had American foods and housewares. This store was more like a foreign Asian Market by itself. I was stunned it was like walking into China, or Korean store. The staff was nice and they were friendly and smiled when I asked them the location of pudding or bathroom. I didn't care too much for their food court like the store in California, In California they have cafeteria style where people line up to purchase their hot food and they keep putting out fresh food with good smells all day long. The sales registers in California never stop. This place was not very busy on a Friday. This place has hot food places with not so good prices, and I wasn't tempted by the looks of it, and business was slow. Looks like it sat there for a while. They have a variety of raw fish, chicken, duck, etc, at the meat dept, but I wasn't shopping for meat. Their bakery department looked good but portions are small and expensive. If you want sweets they have plenty of packaged Asian style cookies and candies, just no Vanilla Wafers, or other American cookies. No boxed puddings or jellos. You can find Hawaiian boxed chocolates. A box of Hawaiian chocolates with good expiration dates do make nice gifts. I would check the expiration date for freshness. I noticed their fresh raw fish didn't look very fresh. I can tell by the eyes they don't look shiny and clear anymore. Some of the fish eyes looked dried up, sunken, yellow or reddened. Red eyes mean fish is mishandled. Is there a shortage of ice or something? I won't be returning for groceries not the usual everyday staples for me. Cooking whole raw fish with head, tail, skin and whole chickens, ducks with thick skin are a bit of a challenge and inconvenience for me. I do congratulate this store for having a couple of friendly employees and the young male cashier who spoke English and helped me with a smile at the end register. Thanks anyways.

See this mould under label from fresh noodle. How clear they are !

Although I shopping in 99 ranch very carefully, but i still learned one more lesson . When I bought this fresh noodle, it looks just fine, after I went home to unpacked it. Surprise!!! Mould is hiding behind tags.Good job 99 Ranch!

Receipt. The 4 pack of the Ube was the same price as the single.

Specifically went to look for moon cakes which were acquired but they were almost all out of the singles. Store was clean, product was plentiful as I walked through the aisles as they were properly stocked. Lights were a bit dim throughout the store with K-pop playing in the background. Meats and seafood looked fresh. Cashiers and most staff as still masked, one or two customers masked. I went on a Monday morning at 10:30 so it was not really packed at all which was nice to be able to walk the isles without being rushed. I can imagine though it being full on a weekend or even later in the afternoon. The moon cakes are the E&S brand. They feel heavy/have some weight to them. Onion Wintermelon was VERY onion forward. The outer-bread pet was actually nice and soft but it's getting a 0/5 for me. The smell was so strong I couldn't do more than my 2-bite test :/ Mung Bean was underwhelming. Not strongly flavored at all. Muted bean taste with a mild sweet undertone. The outer cake was dry, thin and flaky. I could finish it with some water on hand. 3/5 Ube Cake was 4.5/5. The strongest contender. Unique flavor actually getting that yam and not too sweet. Easy to work through since they were smaller. Outer bread was a nice consistency, not dry at all.

I just so happened to walk past this place and needed to step in! I'm happy I did! I don't know much about Korean Culture, but I liked what I saw. I do intend on shopping here quite often. They have things that Walmart or other supermarkets don't have. I had to pick up a few snacks and try these flavored sunflower seeds. I never knew these existed!!! I can't speak on the quality of their food yet, but just from the options they have... I'm happy I came across this place!

Why everything in Texas is BIG? Coming from NY , everything we see in Texas is big and this Asian market is not an exception. I think our host is trying to impress us so we could give a thought of moving here. The store is super clean . I heard it is newly opened. Lots of options are available and there are sufficient stocks on each aisle covering mostly Japanese , Korean , Filipino , Chinese, Indian etc basics. What's more thrilling are the numerous Asian dining stalls inside the building. Overwhelming experience. Never been to one place that has everything I have wanted. The pricing is super affordable comparably from where we come from. A recommended market to go to.

Brown Sugar Boba Ice Cream Bar. You will thank me later

This is the cleanest Asian Market that I have ever been to. I get it, since it is relatively new, but I guess I am lucky that I live close to it. The produce is fresh and they carry many, many items (such as produce) that are fresher and cheaper than American markets. The one item that I recommend is the picture I uploaded (the brown sugar boba ice cream bar). I have not seen this item in any other market, so you can definitely thank me for this find! :) I also recommend their Beef Tendon side dish as well! Pros of this market: - Clean - Many items - Cheap, fresh Produce - Great side dishes - Really Good Food Court - Beard Papa's is located here - Many restaurants and dessert cafes surround this place - Location Cons of this market: - Food Court does not sell alcohol (and you cannot bring it in). - Small alcohol section - Like with most Asian markets, it will be hard to find help. Overall, this is a great place to shop for food and many other items. I come here time and time again. Get the Boba Ice Cream, especially if you are a fan of coffee type flavors!

One thing I've notice at 99 Ranch at Preston is that most of their leafy vegetables are no longer fresh and looks getting ready to wilt. Yes

Rolando was our server he was attentive & gave us good service. We ordered cioppino & rainbow trout grilled with mashed potatoes & corn as our sides. Trout was finely prepared nicely grilled & seasoned. Loved the corn with chipotle seasoning it went very well with the fish & potatoes were good. But Cioppino was not how it's usually prepared the broth seemed very light , seasoning was not up to the mark & the mussels were ok ... had better mussels in other places... it's a seafood place so we were expecting nice juicy mussels but the meat in clams & mussels were extremely small.... That was a let down... we did take the leftover broth to have it later but it didn't tasted good ( turned very sour) so threw it away... Maybe it was one of the off day but we felt disappointed... will try something else if we visit again.

From the Off-putting odor that hits you as you enter the premise to the rather dull interiors, the place did not create any excitement. Seating though ample was kinda weird with booths available to the end of the restaurant, which seemed rather dark and uninviting. The service by Rolando was friendly and courteous which was the saving grace. The Cioppino seemed more like a tomato broth in taste and looks with some seafood thrown in. Lacked the flavors and odors of a great dish that it could have been. Seafood added to it while fresh did not seem to be of great quality. The grilled swordfish with whipped potatoes and corn was good. Will come back if there are no other options
