Not the largest Aldi location but it has all the basic items you expect at competitive prices. The store is overall clean though the organization could be improved a bit, with some items out of place. Overall decor is simple and minimalistic, consistent with most Aldi locations in the area. Self checkout is fast though if you want a cashier you can expect a short wait during the busier times. There's plenty of parking here though it gets busy with Costco and Target nearby so you can expect a considerable amount of traffic at the busier times. read more

Aldi is one of my staple stores for groceries. This is the closest to me and is one of the better ones. I loved it more when they had self check outs but I understand if a change needed to be made. Still love the cart idea. read more

Some staffers scratch heads and bodies and rub noses. These people are not trained in basic hygiene for food handlers. Also, no disinfectant hand-wipes were available at the store entrance and the hand disinfectant fluid dispenser was empty. read more

Nice grocery store with a good selection of produce and imported items. My experiences with the staff here have been positive as well. They have some hard-to-find items and I like this store much better than the Jewel Osco. Since they updated and revamped this Aldi, I have been shopping here much more frequently. They have a much better selection of products including a quite extensive selection of fresh produce. The store overall looks much nicer. The only thing that really hasn't changed is the checkout. It seems very clean and they have a lot of Vegan options there which is awesome! During the pandemic they have spray and paper towels to clean your cart and they seem to be doing their due diligence. The parking lot is big enough and there is always parking. When they're crowded, it still takes quite a while to check out.. but with the expanded product line, it's usually worth the wait. read more

Have to admit to being impressed, I haven't been to an Aldi's in ages, and it's really changed quite a bit. First let's get the quarter thing for the cart out of the way. I used to hate this, and thought it was cheesy. But two things come into play here for me. First, they really do have low prices, so having staff collect carts is an extra cost, and secondly, people are LAZY they don't bring carts back. Just go across the way and look at the Costco lot. So I've have a change a heart depending on the store. Speaking of carts they looked clean and in good condition. The store, well laid out, bright and clean. While the produce section wasn't large items looked fresh and managed to have some options. For instance they carried large and smaller peaches, honey crisp apples were 1.99 a pound while not a screaming deal for those still cheaper than most places. Knowing your prices is helpful. A mix of brands I've heard of and some others that to be honest sounded off the wall. Aldi's I'd say has a learning curve I bought a mix of produce, some other brands I was familiar with and a few new items to try. I also noticed many more convenience items that weren't apart of their offerings years ago. For instance the fresh peeled garlic (didn't need) that I plan on getting, small containers of fresh mozzarella that looked good for snacking, and many offerings of lunch-meat and other cheeses. I plan on checking out some other locations, as this on isn't the most convenient one for me, however if in the area I will stop in. read more

I've always gone to Aldi for my fruit and vegetables it's so much cheaper and they are always fresh l love their frozen foods too

I will never shop at Aldi again. I stood in line for 15 minutes and the kid at the register told me I had to get into another line because I had a bottle of wine in my groceries. The line he pointed to must have had 20 people in it. I left my items and left the building. Good riddance. read more

Great Aldi has a decent selection of choices. Doesn't always have what you want each time. Now it harder to get everything you want.

I've been shopping at this aldi location for years but within the last year it's really gone downhill. I know it's not about covid because I also shop at other locations. For one, the weekly special isle is never stocked up anymore. Second, the staff can be rude and unhelpful. Today I asked an employee a question and she was very rude in her response. Also, if your mask isn't on your nose quite like the would want they speak to you very in a condescending way, mind you I was holding a box of water. I think Benjamin's review shows he's not familiar with Aldi, which is why his review is not a fair assessment of this location. Aldi does not accept credit cards, only debit, which is why he was asked for a pin. Tossing your items in a cart is how it's done, because you bag your own items there. This is the Aldis that was on Waukegan. They closed that one and moved here, which was a shame because many Seniors I know were able to walk to that store, and now they can't because this new one is too far to walk. I love good prices. I love easy shopping, big aisles. That said, I love Aldis. Their best bargain is that they do dry goods and canned goods much cheaper than the other local stores. Canned mushrooms are cheap, and they have a nice selection of spices. We also do a lot of frozen goods like Ice Cream, Frozen OJ, frozen veggies and Mama Cozzi "self-rising" Pizzas. Again, staples is where they excel, and their dairy section and milk are reasonable. You can usually find the type of product you want without the brand name, although they do carry many brand name products. This is the biggest Aldi store I have ever visited, and it's really nice, clean, and well laid out. Note: cash or DEBIT CARDS only. read more

I consider it the best Aldi is seen . All very renewed and the organization is 100% , the diversity of products in each department is remarkable compared when you go to other shop. One of the things that I do not agree with the policy of accepting only debit cards no credit . should improve that aspect . Well to the corporation by the opening of this new store!! read more

Once you get over the weird system with the carts and the less than attractive store, you may feel silly spending $4.99 for strawberries at Whole Foods or Mariano's when you can get organic strawberries for $1.99. I can not even believe how inexpensive this place is. Yeah, I usually still have to hit up Mariano's but for much of my needs it makes me feel so happy to spend $50 instead of $100! I am giving this Aldi one star today because of my experience yesterday. I typically go to the Aldi on Golf Road (Way better staff), but I needed gas at Costco, so I figured I would go to this Aldi. I always shop at Aldi and I am usually very satisfied with the customer service. I had my 6 year-old daughter and my 4 year-old son with me in the store. My kids were standing at the counter behind the first register waiting for me to pay. I was at the register paying and when I turned around to pack my things, my son was gone. I'm running up and down the aisles screaming at the top of my lungs looking for my son and ready to just burst into tears. All I got from the entire store (customers included) was dirty stares. None of the staff asked me what was wrong and no one offered any type of help. After running all over the store I ran back up to the front and asked the cashier to call security and all I got again was a blank stare like I was crazy. This was the worst experience of my life. What is seriously wrong with people. Turns out my son went to the bathroom and didn't tell me, so thank God I found him. He had to walk in front of ALL the registers to go to the bathroom. At the time there were 3 cashiers, and all registers were full of customers. Not one of them saw a little boy go into the bathroom by himself? read more

Today shopping at Aldi included unsalted peanuts, bananas, milk, health food bars, lettuce, cucumber, baby tomatoes and paper products. My family has been shopping at Aldi since the 1980s. Their prices can't be beat for their groceries. They may not have many employees and you have to bag your own groceries, however, the Financial savings makes up for it. A lot of times I find milk cheaper at Walmart. read more

The worst effing experience I've ever had. I selected a few things the items are disarrayed on the shelves. She threw my stuff into a huge shopping cart bf isn't say anything to me. Then kept asking me for a PIN number on a credit card. Horrible experience at a brand new store. Cant figure this one out!! You would think a new location would be great. Truth in advertising, maybe I'm not really in their demographic. The silliness begins when you walk up to the store and you realize you need a quarter in order to obtain a shopping cart. Grrrr.....on my way back to the car to look for a quarter You walk in the store and it looks like a nice enough- they even have some organic stuff I'm normally cheap, I mean frugal enough, never to throw away food. Well I got home from the store and cook my ham steak and it was disgusting, salty, cheap meat. I ate about a quarter of it and then threw the rest away. Nasty. The cheap food comes along with some gruff service at the checkout. The cashier literally throws your items into the cart and then you move onto bag them at a shelf as you exit the store. Many of my items were damaged in with "the tossing". I'm afraid I'm not frugal enough to shop here. Spend good money on good food. It may be the most important thing you can do for your body I have taken Aldi off of my grocery shopping destination list- forever. read more

This location use to be great. I go there once a week. For the last couple of months I noticed a big change. They are running out of things (mainly in the lettuce section/Dairy section.
