Mini-rant on Raspberry Stars. TJ's web site has no place to upload photos, they told me "sorry, go to your local store." Sorry, not making a special trip for one box of wonky cookies. Were these cookies made by Frankenstein's Monster? 1). Manufacturer knows nothing about making "sandwich" cookies: bottoms should BOTH face towards filling, so cookie looks beautiful no matter how it is held! 2) Filling: like dried rubber cement, sticky/overly sweet. Try using real raspberry jam. When I attempted to pull a cookie apart to scrape off the filling, the cookie exploded. 3) Looks like Flying Monkeys assembled these cookies. 4) All cookies in box were deformed and/or broken. Either your truck driver hit a major pothole or they came from the factory this way. Complete waste of money and calories. read more

All Trader Joe's are basically the same offerings - but a great selection for my meat-eating husband and my vegan self. VERY low prices, and my husband basically lives off of the frozen meals and pizzas at home. He finds dairy, cage-free and pasture raised, Humane Certified eggs at much less of a markup than at Jewel. I always find some new vegan thing or other, they always have new seasonal offerings. My ONLY complaint is that the checkout lines are FAR too long, due to what I feel is "forced" by company policy on the checker staff. The checkers are FAR too "chatty" with every single customer, when most of us simply want to get in and out. Great cart policy with regard to return and retrieval. Zero complaints and we will always be return customers! read more

This Trader Joe's is located Uptown. There is an on-site parking lot, it is small and can be busy at times. The store is clean, well-organized, and less crowded than some other Trader Joe's, and gives a neighborhood vibe, more so than other Trader Joe's. This is enhanced with the Park Ridge art! Staff are consistently helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. This adds to the neighborhood vibe. Similar to other Trader Joe's they offer many unique items and I especially like this during the holidays. I highly recommend. read more

I'm always a little on the fence about Trader Joe's, but they do have unique things that are often hard to find at other stores. In the past, what I've come here for was chicken stock concentrate and I thought they didn't sell it any longer but happily I learned that it's still on the shelves. This store is small, as is typical of TJ's, and when I visited (shortly after opening) it was quiet. Parking was good. The employees were friendly, particularly the guy at the check-out stand. I don't really love shopping at Trader Joe's. The stuff is generally high priced and I can never get all the stuff I want with just a stop here. But living with one nearby now I may stop in from time to time. read more

Employee that whistles in a tuneless way while doing inventory/working, standing very close to shoppers drove me out of the store! Hate to complain about something so ridiculous, but very high pitch whistling that never ends was maddening. The guy seemed to be everywhere too - no escape no matter what aisle I tried to flee to. Need to make TJs a part of my grocery runs-I forgot just how awesome they are! I don't like to get attached to any of their products/items because they often take away something I fall in love with. Products are constantly in and out of rotation. One thing that seems to remain the same are their chocolate covered nuts. I also really love their alcohol selection as they offer great and tasty options at relatively cheap prices. They also sell eggs in a 4 and 6 slot carton ! Miracles. I always wanted that because I end up wasting a bunch of eggs. Genius. Service is always really friendly and I love their paper bags! read more

Let me start off with the food, I think the Matcha and their Takis dupe are SO GOOD, there is one problem I do have and it's the fruit if you plan on buying fruit you have to eat it the same day or else it goes bad. Their selection and pricing is fantastic. The frozen food items are great. A shopper can close their eyes pick something and be very happy with what you grabbed. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you ask for an item they will walk you to it. The check out lanes are fast and efficient. This is my go to store. read more

10-17-2025, I came in today after a really bad day and just wanted to do my shopping. I went to check out as usual, and Bella C, my cashier was so sweet and talkative complimenting me on my look/outfit. Usually I don't talk much but this hit different because I felt seen, to more than a customer. Very nice! read more

The staff at this location always go above and beyond to make sure I have a good experience! They are always more than willing to give me great recommendations and I rarely have waited in a line to check-out. One of the staff members saw it was my birthday and provided me a mini bouquet. I always leave with a smile on my face! Store is always organized and clean as well. read more

Quick quarantine update: Expect long lines to enter the store during the weekend, but that's fine by me that they are taking this pandemic seriously. As usual, everyone is nice and friendly and I love TJs for their semi-healthy frozen food and unique products. I'm a huge fan of their uncured turkey bacon, super guilt-free less fat guacamole, butter chicken, seafood paella, and their spicy dried mangos. read more

First time here and impressed how clean, organized and nice this small store is. Everything is on the right place. Parking lot was clean too and easy to navigate. No carts left out considering it was a windy chilly day. Cashier was pretty and friendly. So, I have to say, I think this is probably the best Trader Joe's in the city. They have what I need typically and produce is definitely the best one for the grocery stores in this area as well. They do have a great selection of bakery, I wish they would incorporate more bakery items. They are very limited there. The staff is helpful and store is clean which is most important nowdays. Simply the best! Shopping carts are absolutely clean and sanitized. Store workers know how important it is! Store is very well organized. I am super satisfied costumer. Highly recommend this location. The parking is free and not busy before noon during the week (not sure about weekends because there is not much parking spaces). Trader Joe's is one of my favorite stores since they offer organic products and good prices. They are also friendly and offer good service. On this visit I purchased all my ingredients to do juicing for a few days and some wine as well I love coming to this location, they always have things well organized and always stocked up. Awesome store not a like big supermarkets. Great selection of products and reasonably priced, pleased personal, helpful customer service. I love coming here for snacks and random food that you normally won't find at like Jewel. And the employees, ohhhhh you can tell they LIKE their job! Management is doing something right with the people they hire.Tell me I'm lying? but from my experience the people here are usually always so helpful and just nice never had an issue here, except for parking when I've made the mistake of going during busy shopping hours I'm adding recent photos showing not usual appearance of the store, looks demand is so high for third products as today They are always helpful and it is a unique shopping experience. I have 3 different seasoning spices to try, healthy snacks to try plus all the usual items I already know I love. The prices are reasonable. Be shopping with them (different locations) for 19 years. I stopped in quickly to get a couple of items I need before heading to work. At a quick glance, the store is very clean and organized. When I get to the checkout, only two lanes were open and the lines are getting long. Management quickly notices the situation on hand and opened more lanes. The cashier was very friendly and checked me out promptly. I will definitely visit again! read more

There's a Trader Joe's much closer to me but I love going to the one in Park Ridge. It's by my sister's house so whenever I visit her, I make a stop here first. The reason why I love coming here is because the staff are always so friendly and nice! The store is neat, always reasonable stocked and well kept. I wish the parking spaces were a bit wider because it can be kind of tight - especially during those busy business hours when it's pretty packed in the lot. I love this store, but sometimes the food is spoiled. Look at the romaine lettuce I bought Saturday night and it's only Monday. It's brown and gooey. I'm very disappointed and don't know what I could do about it. read more

I go to "Trader Joe's" occasionally to pick up a few items. Usually I cook things from scratch, but there are those days when you just don't feel like cooking. Trader Joes is great for that because they have many prepared meals that you just pop into a frying pan or a microwave and ta da instant meal. Some of the prepackaged foods are pretty good (certainly not gourmet food, but decent and make for a quick simple meal without breaking the bank. They also carry their inexpensive wine Charles Schwab for $2.99 (It use to be $2 for the bottle ($2 buck Chuck) I'm not a huge wine drinker, but I think it's a pretty decent bottle for $2.99/bottle Trader Joe's is also known for carrying their own line of items that can only be purchased @ their store. I especially like Trader Joe's around the holidays for their truffles. read more

A great stop as always. This is a great location! I could not say anything negative about this particular Trader Joe's. Shopping here for groceries is a must! Can always find great snacks for the kids. A selection of quality quick foods, as well as fresh ingredients. They also have a good tasty selection of packaged nuts. The atmosphere was very clean. I absolutely love this store and the employees are so respectful and helpful. My overall experience at Trader Joe's was very satisfactory. You won't be disappointed. I will be back. The Algonquin location has to be one of the largest TJs I've ever been in. The wine aisles, snacks, produce, there's just more of everything. Loved it! And I will become a regular since I've relocated and become a villager! read more

A wonderful store with very friendly & great service. I love that I don't have to buy 10 things to get a deal. Also luv that I don't have to use any clip coupons on my phone. Stress free shopping. I appreciate the different food items that you can't find at any other stores. Almost anything I buy here is great. Maybe only once or twice I did not like something I bought. The only complaint I have is some products I loved are not there anymore. I do realize the store has to change things. But I wish they would bring back the items. I love the mini cart my grandson used He had a blast! He is almost 3 & enjoyed shopping. A nice variety of jar sauces & spices + sweets & cookies. I really luv the pizza dough that I can roll out to make my own homemade pizza. Also the lines are fast & no waiting for just 1 clerk working as you do at big grocery stores. Things I miss from Trader Joe's, the oyster crackers, 2 pack of tamales & a few other items that are no longer there. read more

This is our neighborhood Trader Joe's, and we love this place.  The vibrant Uptown location is great as it is just a couple miles down the street from us, the products are fresh, the staff are always upbeat, friendly, and efficient, and the clientele is well to do, educated, and courteous.  We have found that this place is deservedly almost always busy, except maybe the last half hour on a weeknight.  The wife really likes in particular picking up organic milk for the kiddos from here because the products move off the shelves and the expiration dates are always far off.  We get certain other organic groceries from here as well as fresh flowers and holiday knickknacks as appropriate as well.  I never pick up liquor from here though as the prices are a little on high side except for their Two Buck Chuck's (now a whopping $2.99 though!) which I do not drink anyway.  There are almost always samples available at the back of the store near their complementary little coffee bar as well which is another nice touch.  The only little drawback is their congested and tight parking lot which is usually a clusterf*ck and there often seems to be one of those slow, wealthy, and independent 100 year old's putzing around in the lot to boot.  Overall though, as a store this place pretty much epitomizes why we love living in Park Ridge! read more

Dear Trader Joe's (and Trader Joe's Corporate): I wanted to write to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible management and staff at this location. I've always had amazing experiences at Trader Joe's (all over the North Shore of Chicago), but the Park Ridge location stands out in particular. I did my weekly shopping (indulging in all of the festive pumpkin goodies) and upon arriving at home I noticed my ring was missing. The ring has a lot of sentimental value and is irreplaceable as it belonged to someone who is no longer alive. I was devastated. My boyfriend suggested returning back to the store and retracing my steps. I felt defeated at the insurmountable task ahead as I had shopped the whole store from the fresh veggies to the frozen and the snacks. That ring could've been anywhere. Upon talking to management, the amazing woman (younger, brown hair- I regrettably did not get her name in the commotion) began to smile and told me a man turned it in as he found it on the ground. I gave her the biggest hug and I want to truly commend the honesty and integrity of the store employees. I truly feel that at most grocery store locations, my ring would be at the hands of an unscrupulous individual. Thank you for returning my ring and for the friendly customer service I've always experienced at this store. I will forever shop this store and recommend its products to all my friends and family. My wife shops here every Saturday. The food items are fresh and tasty, they do not spoil quickly. Prices may be a little higher here than shopping at Jewel or Butera but the quality speaks for itself. When it comes to food that I am gonna eat, I don't want cheap products. This is my local TJs and I do love me some TJs. I've been coming to this store for years and do enjoy the reasonably priced groceries and unique items. The staff is fine but I definitely like the locals like Sonia and Robert who work there: they go out of their way to make you feel special and welcome. I would give the establishment a higher rating but a few members of this local store are a bit on the hostile side and shouldn't be working there: they definitely interfere with the shopping experience when they follow you around and give you a funny stare (cough, Jim, cough). read more

Being vegan and following a strict diet while on the road for work is not easy. I love eating out but I end up feel bloated and tired when I return home. This trip I started a new ritual and hit up Trader Joe's and I am glad I did! This location had thee best strawberries I've ever tasted and salads and wraps ready to go! I grabbed a few snacks for the week and only spend $12. Not bad! Store was clean and the staff was friendly. No complaints here, you can't go wrong with Trader Joe's. read more

It's great to have a Trader Joe's within a short distance of home. Unfortunately, like every other Trader Joe's ever built--except for Evanston--the parking lot is cramped, crowded, and crabby-making. Why do they never learn?? Do yourself, your blood pressure, and your car bumpers a favor and stay away on weekend afternoons. Or you can park on Northwest Highway, where there are always street spots, but then you have to walk all the way around the opposite side of the building to enter. (It's still probably worth it to avoid the parking lot, even though you might encounter a bizarre sidewalk obstacle such as a TJ's employee tending a wildly flaming charcoal grill...then going back inside and leaving it UNattended.) The giant "Trader Joe's" sign duped me the first time; I thought that the entrance was on Northwest Highway. But it's not! PSYCH! One other thing--customer service is a notch below TJ's standard of ebullience. Not nasty, just not great. Sort of flat. But then there was one time in particular that my checker never spoke to me or looked at me, but spent the entire transaction carrying on a conversation with a coworker about illegal movie downloads. Not a great face for the organization. Still, it's worth it for half-salt roasted almonds, pomodoro pasta sauce, and chocolate cat's cookies. read more

Cute store. I used to live in this neighborhood so I am used to go to this location. They are always very helpful but I think this is in all TJ location. I like energy of this market I don't know why. From fresh flowers, over veggies and fruits, bread, dairy. Omg I love their lactose free whole milk. I also like how they have seasonal things so I can not pay in my kitchen. They are one of few markets that they have great prices 100% grass fed minced beef. I support their ethics and how they invest in quality food. Freez products are very interesting and inexpensive. From fish, shrimp to mahi mahi burger. And wine selection is amazing!
