My daughter ordered two pairs of shoes online from Aldo and had them shipped to the Victoria Gardens location in Rancho Cucamonga. Several days later, she received an email indicating the shoes were ready for pickup. We drove to Aldo in Rancho Cucamonga to pick up the shoes. Upon entering, we noticed the music was really loud, and it was difficult for us to hear each other speak. We also met with the male assistant manager to pickup the shoes. The assistant manager went to the back and brought back only one pair of shoes and indicated he could not find the other one. He then said it was possible they were shipped back for some reason. He then indicated he needed to speak with his "UPS guy." Apparently, the UPS guy might have been aware of this specific order.......interesting. He asked us to come back later in the afternoon or the following day, which was not possible. My daughter then asked for a refund, and the assistant manager said he could not do that at the store and again suggested we come back some other time. We had a receipt, no product, and requested a refund, but he would not or could not assist us. We left the store and called Aldo customer service. The representative indicated a return was in fact possible at the store. Ultimately, the Aldo customer service representative provided a quick refund, so 5 stars for him. Regarding the assistance manager, it was clear he simply did not know how to proceed and attempted to hide his incompetence by providing ridiculous excuses. If he would have just said he was not sure how to handle this particular issue, we would have been disappointed but certainly understanding. read more

To keep it short and simple. I walked in to get a bag for a relative and some oriental girl (I think her name was Jamie) was at the desk on the phone. She looked like she was the only one In There so I went grabbed the bag and put it on the desk to pay and she just completely ignored my existence. So after 10 minutes of me waiting there she finally rings me up & just as I went to pay she goes "ITS A $1 FOR THE BAG! Do you want it??! . In my head I'm not gonna just walk around with a purse in my hand. So I was like "I mean I guess" so she gives me this weird look and rings me up as if I was bothering her. Now I could be trippin but I could def pick up on her unfriendly vibe. Only reason she gets a 2 star is because she went in the back to get me a new bag. But her attitude was def shown. This was my first time visiting Aldo's and I was surprised at some of the shoes they had here. It's not your typical shoe store. They have some dress shoes and fancy sandals, but they also have that rustic, urban, converse mixed with something else kind of shoes, for lack of a better term. These kind of "sneakers" could be easily worn with some nice slacks or dress pants, which was the look I was going for. I was disappointed when the first pair of shoes I liked (Gwowen) were not in stock. The smallest they had was a 14! I guess this was a shoe store for tall people lol. I kept looking for other shoes I might like and again, the particular size I was looking for was not there. Their shoe size was very inconsistent. One shoe would fit just fine, but the same size in a different type, would be too tight. The clerk offered to order or look in other stores, to see if they had any in stock, but I declined. I finally found some Porretta's that my wife and I really liked. I was surprised to have only paid $40 for the shoes. Nowadays I feel like I'm always paying over $60 at least! Not a huge fan of Aldo but came here for some over knee boots. First I had to wait a solid 10 minutes for service as they only had one girl working here. Then the quality is just not what I was hoping it to be. Considering the boots were still over $200, way too much for not even being a designer brand. Pass, not worth the drive here, you can find better deals at Ontario Mills down the street. read more

The customer service at this location is the best I've ever received at an Aldo store! I went in yesterday and Sydney was the person who helped me. She is amazingly quick and efficient offering suggestions and replacements for items I was returning from an online order. I went online this morning to check out the Black Friday sale and discovered that the shoes I purchased in the past two weeks are an additional 30% off. Going back to the store to see if I can get the price adjustment since it's within the past 14 days. Both shoes I purchased are currently still unused so hopefully I get the same great customer service again the second time. I was tempted to just repurchase them online since they have my sizes but I figured I would forgo the hassle of the second charge and just attempt to request a price adjustment. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised at my last visit to this store. We were greeted by Lindsey who was very friendly, super down to earth, and just a cool person. She went above and beyond, and cleaned my boots for me. After experiencing such great customer service, I felt terrible when I didn't find anything I liked. Lindsey still treated me with the same kindness and energy as she did when she thought I might by something. Thanks to Lindsey, I will return to her store again soon. read more

I found a pair of black peep toe velcro boots that I must purchase when I get back to the Bay; I had found them online and had to try them on. This was one of the worst Aldo stores I've ever been to. I decided to go in with my mother on Sunday December 3rd at around 6:30 p.m. The store wasn't very crowded and the only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because it was pretty clean and one of the ladies did say welcome (with a flat tone). After that everything went downhill. The supervisor was a really pretty asan girl but had a sour face and didn't really seem like she wanted to help. I was looking for a shoe and she didn't even ask if I wanted to try to order it online (since they didn't have my size). There were no smiles and it was like talking to a robot. It's like dealing with those stuck up girls that really don't want to help but HAS to help. Retail is all about customer service and this Aldo fell flat. read more

Sales associate Christina is really pushy. I asked for 2 shoes for my husband to try on and after he was done trying one on she took it away and said she'd put it in the front cash register. Mind you, he hadn't made his mind up yet. One was a half size bigger and my husband was trying to gauge which size fit best. Today I walked into Aldo here at Victoria Gardens , I was just looking for quality heals and a pair of boots. I was not greeted, which was ok in the moment, however about 30 seconds after I walked in 2 older white ladies walked in, nicely dressed... apparently they were of quality to be greeted. The girl in the front quickly greeted them and I realized I was not the customer they wanted. Not until that happened did I realize she was not going to help me. I grabbed one of the boots and walked around for a bit just to see if she would notice, it took her about 5 minutes and she finally asked if I was ok. ..... at that point I had already decided I was going to buy nothing from this lady. I'm usually not the type to give a negative review. I too, worked in retail when I was younger. I now work for an online retail company in customer service and always try to sympathize with retail employees because I know how rude people can be. I bought two pairs of shoes at the Aldo Montclair location. One shoe was 30% off and one was 50% off. The employee here assured me I could return to any Aldo location for a refund. I had mentioned to the employee the display shoe I was given had a deep crease at the toe area..but she kind of gave me a look like "we'll do you want them or not" they were for my boyfriend and he confirmed he wanted them and again I was assured I can return them. I shrugged her behavior off. One week later I go into this location with both shoes on a Saturday morning for a refund. I make my way up to the counter and associate Julian has a look like he is dreading to make a return. I am ungreeted and he goes to the back. When he comes out, he makes his way to me and says "is there anything I can help you with" in an uninviting tone. Really? Um DUH if I have two shoe boxes up here there is surely something you can help me with. I really felt like I was a nuisance to him because of my return. He quietly analyzes both shoes and after some quiet deliberation in his own mind he decides he cannot take back the men's shoes that were 50% off because they're worn. I was really blown away at this point. Working in retail I understand how deceiving people can be, but that's certainly not me and being accused of attempting to return worn shoes was so disrespectful. He pointed out a slight chip of paint on the bottom of the DISPLAY shoe. "To me, that tells me they were worn." So you're telling me, the display shoe is always going to be in pristine condition? Beyond that, the ridges in the shoe were completely unbothered. I'm so sure if they would have been worn, then he ridges on the soles would have been scratched. I was seriously so appalled by Julian's accusations. He told me I shouldn't have been sold a pair of shoes that look like that. Lol, a slight chip of paint? I went ahead and called the Montclair location and they told me to go ahead and come in but a refund cannot be guaranteed. I have a newborn son at home and it's a rarity that I can take time to go out, especially back to the original place. But looks like I have to go out of my way now! So I bought my bf shoes for his birthday and unfortunatly they seam undid :( but when I went back to return them (without a receipt or gift receipt) they managed to exchange them on the spot no hassles or delays they were quick and efficient loved that about the store. They didn't have the exact same shoe in his size so he switched the style, they did mention they can have it orderd as well, A young girl didnt get her name & Marcos helped they were very professional and nice !!! I am really disappointed, I own at least 12 pairs of Aldo's heels and today I met the most horrible employee with poor customer service. He is the guy with dyed gray hair. My husband bought me the camouflage high heels for our Anniversary this week and when I went to try them on I noticed they had been worn, the tip on the sole is chipped and the sole was dirty. The employee tried to argue with me that it had not been worn. I told him that the shoe doesn't get dirty and chipped on it's own!! I told him that had they shown my husband the scuffs he would've never bought them in the first place. These were a gift and who buys dirty shoes as a gift? He argued that he was sure they had shown him the scuffs, seriously? Who hired this guy? Management need to do a better job in training their employees in how to be apologetic and not argue with customers especially when the customer is correct. The shoes at Aldo's aren't exactly cheap so why would I want to keep $100 shoes that look worn. read more

So unhappy with Aldo. I really like buying their handbags, along with the shoes. One day I was in the VG store looking at the handbags and found one that I wanted. So I went up to the register and talked to the associate about ordering a different color. She pulled up all the color options on the computer and I chose a brown color. I gave her all my information (address, name, card number) and she placed the order for me. She told me it would take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. After about 3 and a half weeks I still hadn't received the purse. So I go back into the store and ask the only associate available to help me. I give her the receipt and tell her what happened and she seemed so confused. She stared at her computer for about 10 minutes before telling me she doesn't know what happened. She finally asks her coworker who calls someone, guessing a manager and she also tells me she doesn't know. They ask me if I want to keep waiting and I said no. FINALLY a guy coworker looks at it and says "that purse has been sold out for like a month" and walks away. The girls says "oh so it looks like it's sold out which is why they haven't sent you the purse". So basically I've been waiting for a non existent purse. They ask me if I want to get another one and I say no. They try to tell me they can't give me a refund and before I could complain the other girl tells her to just give me a refund. The experience was terrible. How did the company not call me to tell me the purse was sold out. How could I have even placed the order without the girl notifying me about it. Just confused. And the 2nd girl just didn't know what to do. So frustrating. read more
