Ale and Compass Lounge is the lounge area at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. This lounge does have bar seating, high top tables then lower tables mostly with the couches they have. Their vibe is dark, nautical, it matches the resorts. Everything is navy blue, its pretty dark inside, but they do have a few TVs. My wife and I prefer to come here when we stay at the Yacht Club or the Beach club but we have visited a few times just to get away from the park. We also stop here when we like to do the Yacht and Beach crawl. If you are not staying here you will need to figure out a different way to access the resort. They offer a small selection of food, mostly which are appetizers, but there are a couple of items you could order as a meal. Last time we were here we did see a few people order food to go probably back to their room. Something my wife and I always have to order is the Parker House Rolls and Spreads which has three spreads and 5 rolls. The spreads include Bacon Jam, Pub Cheese, and Citrus Butter. These are so good and actually one time we stayed we ordered these every single night, they are that good. The spreads are great on their own but even better when you mix them. I would prefer the rolls to be hot but they are still great. We also ordered the Truffle Fries served with with Roasted Shallot Mayo and the meatballs which has a porcini and parmesan cream sauce, pickled mushrooms, and chive oil. Both are really delicious and easy to share or even have both as your meal. The last thing we ordered was the flatbread. They have a seasonal flatbread which was French onion soup but we found out they also offer just a pepperoni flatbread which is not on the menu. This was a great flatbread, really cheesy, great flavor, not too heavy on the pepperoni but really good overall. For drinks I really prefer to get order off the menu and get either a dirty martini or a Manhattan. They have a full bar and can do most drinks. My wife loves their wine particularly the Dr. Loosen, Dr. L. Riesling which she finds around Disney. She also enjoys a good lemon drop martini. Overall this is a great stop, it is one of my favorite lounges. It is comfy, dark, not super loud, they have great food options and great drinks. I would say stop by when you can and check it out! Great location in the Yacht Club lobby, we visit here on all of our YC stays. During our most recent visit, service was disappointing. We were seated for 10+ minutes with no greeting and when a waiter finally appeared he ignored us and went to a different table that was seated after us. We were trying to get a drink and app before our room was ready but thankfully after the miss in service, I got a text that our room was ready so we just left. Anyway, usually good place to get a drink but maybe next time we will just sit at the bar. read more

The lounge has seating at the bar, a few high top tables, and then tables partnered with couches or benches. It is really designed to be a low key, relaxing lounge. We like to come here when we stay at the resort as well as just heading over when you want some relaxation with food and drinks. They do serve a small selection of food and specialty cocktails as well as beer and wine and a fully stocked bar. I have personally tried a couple of the specialty drinks as well as just ordered off the menu. I really prefer this lounge when staying at the resort, you can head down from your room and grab dinner and drinks and then head back. If you are not staying here you will need to get over to the resort in another way. On our last visit and actually every visit, my husband and I have to get the Parker House Rolls and Spreads which has three and includes the Bacon Jam, Pub Cheese, and Citrus Butter. These also come with 5 rolls. This is such a great snack, starter, whatever you want to call it. They are so good, the spreads are each delicious on their own but even better when you pair them together. My only thing would be the spreads should be not as cold, they are hard to spread on the rolls since they are cold and the rolls are also not warm. But it is minor. We also enjoy the Truffle Fries served with with Roasted Shallot Mayo. These are a good snack, very truffle heavy but still very good. If you are looking for something more substantial then I would recommend the Seasonal Market Flatbread which will vary. But what they also dont tell you if that they have a pepperoni flatbread not listed on the menu. We ordered the pepperoni last time and it was hot, crispy, had a great cheese pull and was really good. Solid flatbread. We also ordered the meatballs which has a porcini and parmesan cream sauce, pickled mushrooms, and chive oil. These were fantastic meatballs. I really enjoyed them. It had great flavor, and came with 4 meatballs. They also serve other food items such as a burger, wings and salads. The food is great. For drinks I really prefer to get what I love which is a lemon drop martini. I also enjoy some of the wines they offer. If you want a specialty cocktail then I would recommend the Seaworthy Breeze Absolut Vodka with Grapefruit and Cranberry Juices. It was a nice cocktail, not super sweet, but more on the tart side. Overall this is a great stop. We really enjoy sitting here an relaxing with some appetizers and cocktails. You can make a meal out of the food as well if you want. No reservation required, there have a decent amount of seating. I would say stop by and check it out. read more

Stopped here for a drink and quick bite. The server was fantastic! I had a glass of a sparkling red. I asked the server if the truffle fries were GF. She said yes and they came out with an allergy stick. They were seasoned really well and the dipping sauce was also really good. I love this place. The ambiance is cozy and the dark interiors are lush and luxe. The drinks are also just as good. I usually like the pomegranate margarita since that's not something common on a drink menu and it's great. The service is also great, and I expect nothing less from Disney. A cozy spot found within Disney's Yacht Club hotel. What makes this place stand out is that it has very dive bar like feel but with of course the charm and decor of Disney. Perfect for a little break or just a quick escape with some food and drinks. Food: Great food that won't run your wallet through as many places at Disney do. I really enjoyed the chicken bbq flatbread, quite filling and tasty especially for the price paid. Perfect for a quick venture in the lounge. The Ale and Compass Lounge really surprised me in terms of a quick dive place on Disney property. We came here in hopes of grabbing dinner on a busy night, and we lucked out finding a table! I love the vibes here, it's relaxing and makes you feel like you're in a fancy living room. A little bar of the main area of the resort but it has such a cool vide and after being in the parks all day it is a great spot to unwind. Servers and bartenders are awesome and super friendly. The food was also very good. We were just looking to nibble since we were eating all day at Epcot but they had some unique bites we had to try. We have to have the lobster bisque. We came here for a light dinner on our first night in Disney. At first we weren't sure if you had to order at the bar for everything, but after we sat ourselves someone came pretty quickly to take our order. I had the Lobster and Corn Chowder. The soup was great and came with two house-made oyster crackers which were fresh and flaky and totally unlike the packaged oyster crackers we're used to. Also had a slice of the Vegetable Flatbread which someone else in my party ordered and thought it was really good too. The space is a little packed, but there's still a nice atmosphere which makes it a great alternative to a proper table service meal at the resort. read more

This lounge is located off the lobby of the yacht club resort in the Disney World Epcot area. Many years ago this used to be a little nook of a bar, but it was expanded out into a much larger space accommodating considerably more people than it used to. The actual bar is behind a wall that you can enter from either the right or left side of the front seating area. It's a great place to stop and grab a cocktail or a quick bite to eat. That's exactly what I was doing last night when I stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat. although the bar is open till 11 the food services stops around 9:50. I did witness a gentleman bag at 9:55 the bartender to ask the cook if he would make him a meal in the accommodated him. I sat down and had a Captains mai tai and a chicken flatbread pizza. The bartenders are very engaging and great to talk with. They have a nice list of house drinks but I can make anything that you would like. It's nice that they will make you a drink to go as well. The pizza, a chicken flatbread with red onion, and a tangy barbecue-based sauce was very good. it would easily feed two people. This is a location that I stopped in on every trip to the Disney World Epcot area. read more

Don't get the eggs Benedict if you like traditional Canadian bacon on them. The don't get the French toast, if you like traditional French toast. No longer the seafood focused wonderland it was...but still good The Lounge of the Ale & Compass used to be one of my favorite spots at WDW. Relatively unknown, you could get some yummy seafood and a tasty beverage with no pre-planning (or expense account budget) required. Sadly, the smoked trout spread, littlenecks, and oysters are all gone. Only the white clam pie (reinterpreted as a flatbread) remains. The whole clams were tasty but the cheese formed a crust over the chopped clams below - pretty much completely unlike what a clam pie should be. But they did have Jai Alai IPA on tap. That said, the decor is nautical and my server, David T., was excellent. I just wish it would go back to being the 'Ale & Compass' and not the 'Generic Tap Room'. read more
