Said they were very good and cooked properly and the sauce was very tasty. I had a large house salad and added a chicken breast to it. We went here and tried out this new location and we had a large party. They seated us quickly and our waiter was attentive in the beginning. As the meal went on, we found it difficult to get the attention of our waiter and he seemed very busy and stressed. The food was good, however, this particular location was very loud and echoing. I had The Fiesta Salad, which is slightly spicy . We decided we will go again on a weekday evening and see if that makes a difference in the noise level and lack of detail to service. Brian was phenomenal! Waited 30 minutes to be seated, was seated way in the back, it's a big place with indoor and a patio as well. I ordered the hellyah chicken with French fries which by the way are $3 more, the fries she be included for a $15 sandwich,big disappointment on the sandwich , the menu said spicy it had ABSOLUTELY NO spice whatsoever it was just a plain chicken with a chipotle ranch at best . Although the chicken was a descent portion size sandwich. Also ordered the tenderloin with chips, also disappointed that the chips are just plain lays potato chips I can buy from Kroger, the tenderloin was also nothing special but it was big and they should add mayo on the side to be included. With this place just opening in Avon, I wasn't surprised there was a wait when we arrived on Friday just before 6pm. We actually had a little over an hour wait before we were seated. It is huge inside with plenty of tables and TVs. Because it was so crowded, it was very difficult to have a conversation. And when the live band started at 8pm, it was even more challenging. Our server was good. She came to our table regularly and was quick to provide us with anything we needed. I had the Ale Panini and I subbed with fries which was a $3 charge... It was good, a little on the dry side. My friend got the Ale Hot Chicken sandwich which was huge! I will check out this place again in a month or two when the newness has died down a bit. read more

Food: I was treated to an early birthday lunch today at the new location! I had the boneless Hermanaki wings and they were fresh and flavorful. I also had the loaded french fries. The portion size was more than I expected, but who's complaining?? I had enough wings and fries to bring home. Service: Our servers were attentive to our needs! Easygoing to speak with and our male server was getting trained and did a phenomenal job checking on us and if we needed anything without being overbearing. Ambiance: I loved the lunch hour traffic. I have only been here once sofar but it was a pretty good expierence. My group sat on the side closer to the Bar Proper. TV's galore everywhere including some that use the meshing tech so multiple TV's can be like a stadium screen. In the winter time thats probably great to add some heat. In the beginning of summer man it adds heat! So you might get a little sticky to your chair fyi. Super wide variety of beers on tap, bottle or can which is nice in an area with such diverse breweries. Our group just got a handful of appetizers all of which came out looking and tasting good. Staff was super nice and polite even in the chaos they were having to deal with. It was a pretty busy night and i think everyone in the tri-city area decided to show up ( right around Sat 6pm ) Also on the Bar side ( even tho there is not a true wall between sides ) they have live bands which i did not know cuz it suddenly got even louder than it already was. The service here was awesome, she was very attentive and quick to bring us our drinks and food. Also we loved the environment here - it's the perfect sports bar and overall spot to hang out. The wings were 10/10 as always. The key lime martini fell short - it wasn't as sweet as I thought, there were ice chunks in it (needed to be double strained), and could have had more Graham cracker on the rim. Would definitely come back and try some other drinks soon. I'm hoping they perfect this drink for summertime because it definitely has potential! read more

I met some friends here for an early dinner last week after work, about 4:30 PM. It was the perfect time to be seated with no wait! Even though the Ale's newest location is MASSIVE, everyone has been flocking to here to try out Avon's newest restaurant and it has been non-stop busy. They have been open a few weeks now, but later on as we were leaving there were lots of people waiting in the lobby to be seated. The parking lot is huge, with extra parking throughout the nearby businesses. Emmy's Pancake House is next door, so once they close for the day that opens up an additional section for parking. The bathrooms inside are spacious and clean. They also have a ton of large screens for watching sports, like all of the other locations. And just likr Greenwood and Fishers, Avon's location is family-friendly. They didn't have any drink specials while we were there, but our server told us that once it slows down a little bit (after Final Four) they'll start some drinks specials. I will preface this that I already love Ale Emporium and their hermanaki wings and have visited every location. My husband and I have been patiently waiting for the Avon to open the last few years and we tried stopping in the week prior and were told it was an hour and a half wait around peak dinner time, so I'll still be back again with him soon. Our server, Mandy, was so sweet and accommodating (one of my friends just had a baby and she brought over a holder for her car seat so she didn't have to be on the table, what this contraption is called I don't know because I don't have kids lol). She went over the menu with everyone who hadn't been there before, cocktails, liquor preferences, wing sizes, etc. Later on she even removed an appetizer off the bill of one of my friends who hadn't liked it. I ordered 2 tequila sodas, a small house salad with blue cheese, and a regular sized boneless hermanaki wing. Everything was absolutely delicious and a great price point. My friends all loved their food (besides that one appetizer) and drinks as well. It was really fun to catch up with everyone and the new Avon location was so convenient to meet at. This has always been my favorite sports bar in the Indy Metro area....the only problem was I had to drive all the way over to Castleton to get there. But Now I have one in my zipcode ! I was expecting there to be alot of hiccups since it was opening week but everything went smooth. I sat down - gave them my order - and received my order promptly and accurately. Four stars. First time visitor. Arrived at 6pm and place and parking lot were packed. Greeter was friendly and said 50 minute wait or we could check our seats and tables at bars. We saw a high top table for four in bar area which worked great. Tons of tvs with sports and lots of neon signs. Great atmosphere! Place was packed but not loud good ambiance. Our waitress greeted us quickly and did a great job. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with grilled chicken and French fries as the said. Had ice tea to drink. Wow! I couldn't believe what we experienced. The newest location in Avon is a complete disaster! Decided to try out lunch. We were promptly seated. 6 tables were being served with us being the 7th. Our waiter comes and takes our drink order and we also order a pretzel. 17 minutes later our drinks (water and Pepsi) show up. We wait an additional 10 minutes for the app, which was very stale, not fresh and didn't come with the sides we ordered. Waited another 10 mins for the correct sides to arrive. We place our order AND place a pizza order "to go" so it should be delivered when we are ready to leave. That comes out to us before our order does. We wait for 45 minutes, and one sandwich is delivered with the wrong side. Mine is to follow. 10 minutes later the correct side arrives yet they are still working on MY sandwich. 15 minutes later a cook appears with a To go container containing my sandwich, with a bag full of sauces. Nacho cheese, wing sausage and something else. It's thrown in a bag along with a ladle full of "grill grease". The sandwich is upside down caked in this grease. At this point , she's done with hers so I start to eat my "to go" sandwich and 25 minutes later the waiter Joshua shows up with my sandwich while I'm eating the one that was thrown at me. The cook that brought it out said the waiter put it in wrong, he blamed the kitchen. This is an Italian sandwich, pre-sliced meats and cheese that are grilled, put on a a hoagie drizzled with dressing and sent. During our wait, I observed every kitchen employee visiting the bathroom that was to my right. The most disturbing part was none exited with damp or even remotely wet hands, meaning they didn't even wash their hands. This started at 2:20 pm and now it's close to 5 pm. During this time I saw no person that even appeared to be a manager. None was seen. Our waiter didn't have any other tables yet always came from the far left, across the entire restaurant. I guess there was a game or something else more important going on then tending to his only table. No refills on drinks, and when we left there was only 4 tables eating, all were waiting on wait staff except for the people in the booths who had what appeared to be a waitress that cared about her job and was keeping up with her 3 booths. This place will not be around long with service like this, employees seeing long waits and not offering anything. Them bossing each other around while just standing and collecting a paycheck. Not a care in the world! The menus were dirty, and wiped down so much you can't even read what's on part of them. A Chef friend and his wife went when they opened and said it was as bad if not worse when they went. I know that we won't be back and our 1 million social followers will be made aware of our experience. Whatever restaurant takes over this place will have a nice starting point. read more

Food was mediocre at best. I've heard so many rave reviews from other locations but none of us loved it. We ordered wings, apps, burger, salad, sandwich, and pizza. The restaurant itself is very nice. We didn't realize they had a band at 8pm so it was a bit louder than we loved. Overall the nail in the coffin was the horrible service. Knowing the line would be long for this new location, we tried the carry out at the new Ale Emporium in Avon. The staff was welcoming and very helpful in the dedicated, separate carryout space. We had a Wedge Salad with grilled chicken; a BBQ Pizza with smoked chicken, red onions, BBQ sauce and smoked gouda, cooked well done; a bowl of their Chili, with beef, cheddar jack cheese and onions; and their Hermanaki style traditional wings - a "secret blend of peppers and spices, the Ale's secret sauce, and teriyaki sauce." All of the food was excellent! It was all packaged nicely (and hot). Having all of the ingredients for the wedge salad packaged separately was a nice touch, to keep things fresh. The BBQ pizza and Hermanaki wings were great. The Chili was indeed hearty as described on the menu, with plenty of spice! We will definitely be back at the Avon location! read more

Today was the 1st time we ordered carry out food from them. We ordered Boneless Wings, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno, BlackJack Burger, Ale Panini, and All-American Burger. My husband went to pick it up and it was ready later than it was supposed to be but it was also Mother's Day weekend. All the food was in the bags! All the food was great except my son was not a fan of spicy barbecue sauce for the wings and the potato salad was okay. The portion sizes were big for the price. You do have to pay $3.00 for fries but the burgers were only $13.50. Most places you spend at least $15.00 for a burger and fries so I did not think it was unreasonable. I would recommend it. A dream come true for us Westsiders! We anxiously waited for the new Avon location to open and have been in twice since. We were expecting growing pains but they were ready to go from Week 1. Hosts have been friendly and wait times (while understandably long) have been accurately quoted (expect around an hour to 90 minutes on Fridays or Saturdays), and we appreciate the ability to see our updated spot in line via the text sent as we roam around Rural King next door. Service staff have been spot on and attentive both times we visited (once as a full family and once on a date night). Food has come out in reasonable time and TVs are viewable from just about any seat in the restaurant and we appreciate that there is a family-friendly section as well as the 21+ section. Great rotating tap list. Needless to say, we will be back (and will probably have spent what equates to a small percentage ownership share :) ). read more

They advertise they have a dedicated carryout section. I was on my way home around 8 pm and just wanted to stop and drink a draft and do a carry out. Went to the carryout section with 3 employees present in the carry out standing around doing nothing. I asked if I could place an order and was told they do not have carry out in the evening. Seriously! I said I would go to the bar and order carry out. They said I could not do that either, there was no carry out. I live about 5 minutes from this establishment and this was my first and last encounter with Ale Emporium Avon. My advice to the management is there are a lot of other choices. read more

Had our first visit to Ale Emporium in Avon tonight. Positive: *The host was friendly and we were seated quickly. *Our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. *Restaurant was very clean. *My burger and my daughter's pizza were really good. Negative: *My spouse ordered boneless wings with sauce on the side. When they came out they were very pale and didn't look like they were cooked through. He cut one and tried a small bite, it was not thoroughly cooked at all. (My spouse was a previously a restaurant manager, kitchen manager and caterer.) As the manager was helping deliver our food, he immediately brought it to her attention. Her lack of response and argumentative nature was worse than the food not being cooked properly. She insisted it was cooked through and nothing was wrong with it. Finally she offered to get him something else which by this time he declined. They did remove it from our bill but the damage was done. I doubt we'll go back. read more

update on my last review: tried this spot again and news flash! still sucked! i tried whatever their excuse of nachos are, it was a mountainous mess of flavorless chicken and old produce. To salvage my experience I ordered a second dish which I enjoyed much more than the first. My overall experience with customer service and their menu is underwhelming and subpar. I would direct my friends over to the nearest gas station and recommend whatever is in the toilet before I brought them to Ale Emporium. Everything was incredibly slow-the greet to the table, the wait for our appetizer (the pretzel, which was incredibly dry), the refill on my water (sat without for close to 20 minutes), our sandwiches (more to tell there), and the items/additions we'd ordered that the server had to go back to get. My sandwich came out before my husband's and had his side instead of mine. Then, the server came back with my side and still no sandwich for my husband. About 15 minutes later, someone from the kitchen brought out my husband's sandwich in a to go container and bag. The to go container was on its side (clearly no care for appearance). The sandwich was all a mess and missing the added requests (pickles, tomatoes). Another 5-10 minutes later, our server comes out with another sandwich for my husband (only highlight was getting a free sandwich with all the mix ups). It was still missing the extras. Because I waited for the other sandwich to arrive, my sandwich was cold. It was also missing the sauce (which ended up being a blessing because it was terrible). Server went back to get my sauce and pickles and came back with only the sauce. We'd also ordered a small pizza to go, and it came out before our meal. The sandwiches were subpar. We ate the pizza the next day, and it was good. Throughout the visit, our server would disappear. We have no idea where he was when he left our table. He wasn't serving any other tables in our area. We were clearly not important. He never offered any apologies or seemed to give a care that so much was wrong. The only time he seemed to have any sense of urgency was when we were paying the bill.
