I originally went to Chili's just to get a burger but they had a 20 min wait so I decided to give this place a try. It looked kinda fancy as I stepped in, they have nice dim lighting and paints all over the walls, very clean setup which I always love! The customer service was excellent from everyone I encountered. I love how they had wikki sticks for the kids instead of the basic paper and crayons, it actually kept them entertained until the food came out. I ordered their Ted's Smash burger with fries (it comes with two patties).They offer it with bison instead of beef if you like that. The burger came out in no time and was really good it was hot and fresh came with adequate pickles/lettuce/tomato and sauce on top. I was very satisfied and glad I have them a try. I'll start by saying this restaurant has the potential to be fantastic. It's nice inside, on the fancier side, with an affordable menu. It's not in the most convenient area of town but worth the drive when the food is on point. There's a great amount of options, including bison, which is rare to see. My favorite item here is the chopped salad, but it's a way better deal to get just the side salad for $11. The entree portion is the same size salad but you'll be charged an extra $9 for one chicken breast. Other things are oddly priced, like $10 for a kids meal which is, for example, a burger (their burgers are usually pretty good), full size side, and a drink for $10, yet a side by itself (such as 4 onion rings) is $8. I've had the chopped salad several times since my first visit here last summer. It's usually good in person but getting this to-go is typically not a great experience, which is why I don't plan to return. The last few times I've had the salad, several ingredients were missing, along with other items missing. It's clear that there is no care or quality check on to go orders. There's a long wait to remake the food so I usually just take a partial refund. If you call and are told 30 minutes, it's usually ready within 10 minutes, so food is cold at pickup. If you are told 10 minutes, you might wait close to an hour because no one remembers to put your order in. It's wild. Yesterday, the to-go order was awful. My chopped salad arrived soaked in water. EIGHT viva paper towels later (yes, the brand matters because this brand absorbs a LOT), my salad was still soaked. It wasn't dressing because the liquid was clear and dressing was on the side. My friend's Caesar salad was also soaked, the lettuce was black and green, and her croutons were like soggy sponges. I called, asked for the manager, and after a 15 minute wait, he said I could pick up a gift card. Even a partial refund for food that had to go in the trash was an option. With rising food costs and thousands of restaurants to choose from in town, this place cannot maintain steady business with such lack of care. Food was good. Not sure if they were understaffed for Father's Day or kitchen just fell behind but we went an hour into service before we finally got refills on drinks and our food came out. Ambiance was fine. Waitress wasn't around much but was nice. Ultimately comes back to the food. That's what made the visit worthwhile. read more

5 out of 5 stars due to our amazing waiter, Lance. He greeted us with a smile and good conversation. Great knowledge of the menu and specials. He was attentive and never let any of our beverages hit empty. We will be back solely because of his extraordinary service. We had the bison meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots, a Kale salad with salmon and the daily special of an open face steak sandwich with Gruyère cheese. Ted's provides free pickles at your table (you'll immediately want another serving). Drinks....they have them all. Her service skills were top notch as she found so many ways to make our lunch amazing! They serve fresh dill pickle slices instead of bread and oh my they were crisp and delish! Pros -Server was extremely friendly - Food was ready and delivered in a timely manner - Restaurantcwas very clean Cons - Flavor was blah, meat didnt have a lot of flavor, and the pickles didn't have much flavor either - Burger was supposed to be medium, but was rare, MAYBE medium rare at best. I want to start by saying that my service here has always been amazing. My boyfriend introduced me to this spot and we first tried their burgers. The bison burger to be exact. This restaurant is 2 hours from us so when we are close by we stop in and order. We ordered the bison brisket and bison short rib. Both were not as expected. The brisket tasted more like pot roast, tasty just not what I think of when I think of a brisket. The short rib meal was good as well but the portion of short rib for what is priced Is what was disappointing. I was given 3 small short ribs. We went at an odd time so the restaurant was empty! Made for a nice quiet experience. Had the canyon creek bison burger which was very tasty! I wasn't sure about the raspberry jam but it had a lot of flavor which was great on my burger. The broccoli wasn't steamed enough for me but some people like it crunchier. Not a lot of seasoning so it was kind of bland, but that's broccoli. My friends got a side chopped salad, kids burger, and knife and fork chili cheese burger. Overall everything was great! Good burger, but it was pretty expensive. It was really greasy and they only give you a cloth napkin. I could use have used extra napkins. I sat at the bar and it was dirty. Nobody was working behind the bar. It was a busy night and overall, the staff had a hard time keeping up. My server did a good job checking on me though. She was nice. read more

Have eaten hear many times, (both this location in Indy & across the country) typically either before or after events at Pike High School on Indy's NW-side. Right off of I-465 on West 82nd street in the Trader's Point Center and right in front of the National FFA Offices and a couple blocks from Corteva Offices & Park100, so a great place for business lunches or drinks as well. Food is really good, the menu is diverse and the service is efficient. Lots of dark wood and an old fashioned saloon is the vibe. But the main attraction is the American-raised bison from one of many of Ted Turners vast ranches & land-preservation efforts. One of the first (and most prolific) farm to table efforts of which I am aware. Good fish as well. And don't miss the pickles to start or the desserts. 1 St time in a long time we decided to try this steak house. Greeted at door and given a table. ( My Choice ). Server was at table within minutes. No appetizers ordered just drinks. I requested an Old Fashion drink. They had a different name. It arrived quickly and was very tasty. Had a baseball size rounded ice cube. My wife had a Amaretto and Coke said it was tasty also. My friend had a drink he liked also did not get the name of it. My wife and I ordered the Beef Filet and onion rings. The Filets were cooked to order and tasty. The onion rings were excellent. Pretty disappointed in our return visit to Ted's. Moved away from the area in 2017, and just returned. Met for a family dinner at Ted's in the overall experience was less than satisfying. Two burgers, Caesar salad, and a steak, and one appetizer. Under 50 bucks with tip. The steak and the two burgers were barely warm. We were short on time so did not have time to ask for a new meal. When the best things at your table are the pickles and the chips and dip, somethings wrong. We had great experiences in the past, but this one will have us looking for other options. So, I'm struggling between a 3 star and a 4 star. Being the nice guy that I am, I'll give a 4 star with an explanation. The interior of the restaurant is definitely dated. We were seated promptly, they host was very welcoming. Our waitress was very nice, but very forgetful. Food came out wrong. Had to ask multiple times for water. There was about 20 minutes where she was just gone. The redeeming value of the meal was the bison filet, and the reason for the 4th star. Absolutely amazing steak. Cooked perfectly, very tender, tons of flavor. Always outstanding service, fresh ingredients for their hearty menu. The restaurant is located in a strip mall that is partially filled. Ted seems to be able to draw in a study group of regulars. The Montana themed brain child of Ted Turner features bison with a side of beef. The decor is upscale lodge with warm wood paneling. Tables are covered with brown paper maps of sky country and cloth red checkered napkins. Very boys club vibe. Today, we celebrated a retirement with a small group. Our server was excellent, attentive, and anticipated our needs. Signature pickled cucumbers greeted us at the table. Yum. So good. I ordered the Big Sky Salad with grilled chicken. As always, the salad was fresh, hearty and delicious with lots of thick cut bacon, avocado, boiled egg cheese and greens. The chicken was freshly grilled..so good. I cleaned my plate. Our sever took our photo to celebrate. He even moved us to a better lit location so we would have a good picture. That was 5 star service! Most lunch entrees run $13-15. It was more Ruth's Chris than Texas Roadhouse. Except for the prices. Very reasonable. I ordered the bison, as it is their specialty.
