This was my first time at BJ's and I get the hype that surrounds it. There's a lot of booth seating and some bar seating. Inside it's a nice intimate lighting. There were about 2/3 tables full, which is good for a Sunday. Our server Jason was friendly and good about keeping track of all our requests. They have mocktails! I got the Blushing Sangria. It was delicious and nicely fruity and not too sweet. I've never drank before, but my boyfriend said it tasted like the original kind. They have a pretty extensive beer list here, and many of them are local choices. For appetizer, we got the couscous Mac and cheese balls. These are pretty close in nature to arancini, but with more cheese. My main course was their weekend dinner special, with prime rib accompanied by white cheddar mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The prime rib was absolutely amazing, nice and tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were also great and are a very smooth consistency. For dessert, of course we had to get a pizookie! The triple chocolate delivers on its name. Served hot, it is well worth the wait after two courses of deliciousness. They have TVs around the bar area that have sports on. At the time, basketball and nascar had the most coverage. I wish they had the closed captioning on, since that makes it easier to tell what goes on if you're not right at the bar. Came here for date night and they were incredibly understaffed. Our bartender was good to talk to whenever he had the time to come around. I honestly felt bad for him having no help at all. We decided to eat here with family because we enjoy their food and the have large booths. We got seated right away even on a Saturday and with no reservations. Everyone was so friendly and helpful to us. We had a five year old with us and the staff went out of their way to entertain him and deliver some treats. I started with a blueberry sour that was delicious. We shared a plate of Mac and cheese balls that didn't last long. Everyone enjoyed them. BJs is one of those restaurants where you can feel overwhelmed with the menu because it really has everything on it, but if I can recommend one thing, I would get the crusted chicken every time! It was a very delicious meal! I subbed the broccoli for the Brussel sprouts and those were cooked almost perfect, I like them a little more crunchy but the flavor was delicious. We went to BJ's for my sister's 17th birthday celebration. We didn't have a reservation, but I called ahead to see if they could seat eight people, and they said yes. When we arrived at the expected time, they told us there would be a 45-minute wait, but now it's been an hour and a half. Twelve open tables are waiting, and I may be wrong, but I believe there were no reservations because I peeked at the computer, and it indicated none for that time. I'm quite annoyed that we've been waiting so long without being seated with our whole party. I've only been here once before with my two sisters to get the cookie skillet, which was pretty good. But right now, my rating is quite low, at two stars. We just checked with the hostess again about the wait time, and they said it was still a 45-minute wait after an hour and a half. This is unbelievably frustrating--that we have to wait this long just to be seated, and I honestly don't know how much longer it will take to get our food. I would leave, but this is the place my sister really wanted to celebrate her birthday dinner, so we're waiting it out. This is unacceptable. From any place I've been before, they have never been this rude or mean when we ask about the wait time again. We just left at 10 pm. We got there at 6 pm, I ordered a deep dish pizza and I have never felt so sick after a pizza. Then our bill came, and it was $400. WE AREN'T PAYING BY THE HOUR!! I went to BJs for the first time yesterday. The inside is very nice with tvs to watch sports on. Huge bar area with dozens of beers on tap. I ordered the fish tacos with chips and beans while my wife ordered the Sunday prime rib. The tacos were decent size with fried or grilled fish. I went with fried fish. The tacos are topped with cabbage and they give you lime wedges salsa and gauc. My wife's meal came with three sides. One was a large bowl of chili which tasted great had to try it. I had a small piece of the prime rib which was pretty tasty. The best thing here though is the massive array of pizzokis. We got the smore'sone and it was fantastic with chocolate brownie, covered with marahmello and 4 graham crackers and a large amount of vanilla ice cream. Definitely enough to share. read more

The wife and I met a couple friends from Maryland who we met at BJ in Avon. The decor inside was nice and cozy. We did have to wait about five minutes for a table. The service was fast and friendly. She took our drink orders and we ordered the potstickers appetizers to share with the table. They were really good. My wife and I split the BJ's Kickin chicken sandwich, which was also very good. It could've been hotter (spicier) for me, but it was perfect for my wife. It had so much good stuff on it like Sriracha and some other stuff which made it kind of sloppy to eat, but it was really good. The french fries were delicious. Also my wife had one of BJ's light beer. She's a Miller light girl but really liked BJ's handcrafted light beer. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was easy to talk. The service was great. The atmosphere was good, if we lived closer we would go more often but we usually go to the one on the south side of Indianapolis so I rate this a four out of five. read more

I spoke with someone and they said they ran out of boneless wings. I asked why they didn't call to let me know and they gave excuses that didn't make sense. Just another employee not wanting to do their job. They also were hesitant to give me a refund but wanted to do a gift card instead. I firmly told them I needed the refund. Nonetheless, the young lady was holding it down on her own for some time but she had to assist a large party and I guess a manager saw the long line at the door and decided to help out but she only helped assign one group a table, let the hostess seat them, and then walked away to talk to said large party, all while the entire line stood there unacknowledged. Obviously lots of beer choices but I decided to try the Berry Blast Cider. It's a tad sweet but a great option if you want something light on a hot day. It was so good I bought a 6 pack to go! I had the Pacific Poke Soba Noodles and I was impressed. Fresh poke and plenty of it. My friend ordered the Philly Cheese with fries.
