Absolutely delicious! I ordered from Wingz and a Prayer twice in the same week because it was that…read moregood. The wings were packed with flavor, and the sides were also really good and paired perfectly with them. The only small issue was the second time I ordered I added the banana special dessert, and it was accidentally left out of the bag. I meant to reach out, but they had already closed by the time I noticed. Honestly, the food was so good it didn't take away from the experience. Hopefully next time I go, I'll mention the dessert and have it added to the next order. I'll definitely be ordering again. If you're looking for wings with tons of flavor, this place delivers.

Not realizing the time, we got there right when they opened and they were still setting up. The entire staff was really nice and we sat around in their dining area admiring all the positive art pieces and news clipping on their history. It's an amazing story of overcoming the struggles of Covid dining limitations. The staff is really the major standout in my eyes. Everyone was just so welcoming, it felt like we were over at a friend's house. The food was great too, wings were up there with the best we had and the rice as well. We ordered some extra rice to go. If you're looking for a nice comfort spot by the waterpark. Give them a try!

I was excited to try this place, I was hoping for a new soul food place to rival Jrama's. It took…read moreme a while to get down here though, I drove by once and it looked open but I was busy so I didn't go. Then I tried going a couple more times but they looked closed. I finally went in about a month or so ago and I haven't been back, nor do I have the desire to go back. Things were disappointing right off the bat. I found a website where it said they had fried chicken. I saw the menu and didn't see fried chicken on it, so I asked about it and then they pointed to the part of the menu that said "fried wings". I passed and went with the jerk chicken instead. the flavor of it was good but it was pretty dry. they were out of the 2 sides I wanted too (rasta pasta and potato salad), so I went with the dirty rice and mac salad. the dirty rice was ok but the mac salad seemed like it might not have been homemade, and I think it had tuna in it, which I hate. I also ordered the ribs. I was disappointed to see that they were beef ribs instead of pork, and the ribs had barely any meat on them. then to add insult to injury they only gave me 2 ribs in the order! the flavor was decent but the sauce they used was an asian style chilli sauce, which a lot of restaurants have as a "sweet and spicy" sauce. it's a good sauce but not homemade. the onion rings were weak too, they were a brand you can buy at the weis and pop in your oven at home. the mac n cheese was decent, same style as jrama's but actually a little better. The thing that upset me most was the price. The menu said "all meals $10 and up". There was another part that gave prices for extra sides, so I assumed the "and up" part meant extra sides would cost more money. Well that's not what they meant. I thought the 2 meals were gunna cost $20. They ended up being $29. what kind of place doesn't list their actual places on the menu?! what a joke! I felt swindled even before I tried the lackluster underportioned food! The inside is nothing nice either. even though the building is a good size the front dining room is tiny, there's a counter where you order and then like 2 small tables. If the food was good I'd recommend doing take out instead of dining in, but since the food was a rip off I'd suggest avoiding this place altogether.

Excellent all around. Had the jerk chicken with collards and Mac n cheese. Chicken was fantastic…read more Collards cooked perfectly, not overdone and not underdone. The corn bread muffin was amazing - fantastic sweet flavor but it held together, didn't crumble at all. Highly recommend to go. I drove past it at first and had to circle back to find it. I parked on the street, not sure if there is a parking lot anywhere. Well worth the effort to find and go

Cute little restaurant in downtown Elmira. Most of the food is what I'd say is southern cooking but…read morewith less salt than you usually find with southern food. My husband and I ordered the curry chicken bowl (collard greens, rice, meat and cornbread with another vegetable side). He went with corn and I went with green beans w/potatoes as the extra side. Our niece got the fish fry. All food was hot when it came out of the kitchen. Curry chicken was curried just right. It tasted like a curry marinade. There wasn't a curry sauce like in a Chinese or Indian curry, but the curry was definitely present and delicious. Portions were generous. Sorry, I completely forgot to take pictures! The background music was nice and atmosphere was country cozy. If you're looking for good, home cooked real food, Marshall's is a good place to check out.
