Great food and service. Eat here frequently and keep coming back! Very nice employees and clean place.

We dined here two times over one week, both on Friday nights. The first time the service was much better. The second time they seemed to be short handed and really struggled. The owner didn't handle the stress well but she was prioritizing getting the food out when it came out of the kitchen. After that, forget about any service like a refill on the overpriced sodas ($3.50). The food was fairly good and reasonably priced in these days of Bidenomics. However the chips looked like they were from a bag and the salsa didn't have that flavorful bite of a premier salsa. The bean dip was good and likewise the refried beans; homemade. Rice was typical; fluffy but bland. The Shrimp Fajitas had decent sized shrimp and a delicious buttery sauce. The Pescado de la Veracruz was tasty and the Pollo a la Chipotle was very spicy. I also tried a house margarita and it was good and value priced. Atmosphere was spartan with some Mexican decorations and music was playing. This is a favorite of the locals, evident on a Friday night. But they close at 8:00 PM so arrive early. One of my pet peeves, not unique to this Mexican restaurant, is not receiving an itemized bill to check against what the posted menu prices are (especially in today's inflationary environment). So I did an estimate on my phone and it seemed correct. But I hate a single price including tax and no itemization. I asked the owner to look at her order ticket but she refused to let me, again she was stressed out. Really good food. I usually stop by when I'm working in the area. Always great food and friendly people.

We came in on a weeknight. There was one man running the entire place, both serving and doing the cooking. The salsa was great, and had lovely heat. We split fajitas and it came out sizzling hot. We left very full. read more

Dont Order ToGo. Food use to be really good , chimichanga was the soggiest crispy fried burrito I have ever ate. Thier most favorite dish was Steak and camarones, 3 shrimp and two piece carne asada. In a pinch, this place will do. It's not the best place that made me go Wow, but the food here is definately not the worst I've had. It's a small place a couple of blocks east of Hwy 95, so it's easy to get to if you are travelling through. I would save your money on the Margarita. They don't have a 'bar', so I am pretty sure it's a premixed drink for $4. read more

If you are visiting the Boise I highly suggest you seek out this restaurant!!! I've had fabulous Mexican food in my lifetime (my husband is from Pueblo CO so if you know anything about that you'll get what I'm saying) and the food here was just wondrous!!! A Mexican dream come true!!! Let me start with the food. The homemade chips and sauces were beyond perfection!! I then ordered a combo which consisted of an enchilada, taco, and a sope. It came with rice and beans, all were delicious. So fresh and homemade!! The rice was delightful, the kind of rice only an accomplished chef can prepare. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and this is the kind of meal to be remembered. The restaurant and the town in which it's located was so quaint!! A walk back in time when things were simpler. As Idaho is beginning to change I urge anyone seeking an old west feel to visit this charming restaurant. I'm so happy I was able to experience it!! read more

Okay, let's get this out of the way right now. There's hardly any reason you are likely to find yourself in WILDER, IDAHO! Hahaha! But...if for some reason, say you're playing golf and the incredible Timberstone GC close by you should drive a few minutes into town, and try this tiny hole in the wall restaurant. The food is very good. This is a zero frills location, so please don't expect that. But again, the FOOD, the point of eating out...is excellent. Maybe some of the best Carne Asada and Camorones a la Diabla I've had. Great chips and salsa, and the enchiladas and Chile rellanos were also fantastic. As a treat, by a Mexican ice cream fruit bar on your way out. There amazing and you can find them anywhere! Watermelon is my favorite! read more

The food has gone downhill from what I remember. Service was lousy. We were the only people in the restaurant so it wasn't like they were busy. Never did they refill our ice tea. We drove through the town of wilder and chose Alejandra's because it looked a little more authentic than Rosas but were a bit disappointed in the food. While the service was decent, our meat was chewy and a bit putting off. I had the pollo al chipotle and my boyfriend had a taco combo. We ate the beans and rice but did not eat any of the main entree after that first bite. The owner and waitress came and looked but didn't bother asking if the food was okay. read more

The PROs - Our party of four or so has been here several times. The food is consistently flavorful. The tortillas are tasty and they offer good portions. The menu is sizable and the variety is good. The CONs - Since there is usually one cook and one server, it can take a bit longer for service and food. Tables were dirty and a walk by the kitchen might discourage some. But if you're looking for a decent local place for authentic Mex, it's worth the visit. read more

Worst food and Services.... I had the taco salad which contain very little ground meat, No cheese, couple slices of avocado, no Tomatoes, just lettuce lots of lettuce. My husband order steak well done it came to him med/rare when he complained about the waitress did Come and get the steak. I have worked in the restaurant business I know when a customer complains of food not being cooked probably it's to be tossed out, and new food cooked. not in this case the steak that was touched was, also had a couple of bites taken from it simply was placed back on the grill.. my family and I will not be returning... read more
