Good small town restaurant, good flavor, service and portions. Discovered it on the way home from Nevada

Let me just say... YUMMY!!! We stopped randomly for some food and this is by far one of the best mexican restaurants i have ever been to!

Stopped by on random motorcycle ride. Great service! chimichanga was LOADED with chicken with a wonderful green sauce on top. Outside of chimichanga was super crispy. Overall, I would eat here over and over with food like this! read more

Decided to try Alejandra's because reviews said it was 3 star. It's not. We got beef flautas and a chicken quesadilla. It was horrible. The shredded beef didn't have any flavor, in fact, we couldn't tell we were eating beef. It's pretty hard to mess up a homemade, flavorful tortilla, so guessing theirs aren't homemade, because it was awful, and I don't even think it was deep fried because it was barely crisp, so maybe they toasted it an rolled the beef in it? Not sure. Lastly, the quesadilla was also made with a bad tortilla that had no flavor and the chicken was bland, cheese not completely melted!!! Awful awful awful! McDonald's would've been better honestly. read more

We eat here about once a week. Everything is so good and the service is exceptional.

Nice place to eat. Good atmosphere and service was fairly prompt. #47 (shrimp and steak) with rice beans and all the fixings. Margaritas are weak on the tequila so it's like a virgin. read more

We're from the CA Bay Area, and spoiled by truly authentic Mexican cuisine. Alejandra's was a little restaurant with somewhat bland and generic flavors. The salsa was watery and spiceless. I had the cheese enchiladas blancas, which were served piping hot. My husband had the sope, enchilada and taco combination. He had all three with tasteful chicken. Both our meals were accompanied by rice and beans. Our biggest issue was the lack of spicy heat in our dishes. Ho-hum. read more

Safe Mexican food while road tripping. It was better than we expected for the area. Prices and portions were fair, food was freshly prepared, the service was prompt, and no unexpected restroom search missions while road tripping. Lunch specials are a great value! I'll start with service, we were greeted by a very pleasant and accommodating server. The place is cozy. Food, was ok. Not bad but wasn't great so nothing to write home about. Just pass'n through from Boise to San Jose. Saw the great reviews so opted to stop for lunch before enduring the grueling four hour drive to Winnemucca. Once inside I spotted a local eating soup. If you make your way near Marsing and are hungry for authentic Mexican cuisine this is the place to go. The ladies serve delicious, fresh food and my family we either eat there or take out from there quite often. It isn't "fast" it is "quality" Mexican food. The service is good, it is very clean, and has a "home away from home" type atmosphere. My personal favorites are the fish cerveche, pollo la crema, and fajitas. Enjoy! read more

Alejandra's is a small, unassuming Mexican restaurant located, a little off the beaten path, in the town of Marsing. I wasn't sure what to expect because, frankly, my quest to find Mexican food that is better-than-average has led me to some disappointing dead ends. But this restaurant was a refreshing surprise. To be sure, Alejandra's offers exactly what you would expect of an "Americanized" menu and decor. Nothing is overly spicy or hot. But the difference in this fare is the flavor profile of each dish. When I visit a Mexican restaurant for the first time, I always order a combination plate so I can sample a little of everything. I had the tamale/enchilada/taco plate with sides. The meat fillings are seasoned and tender. Everything arrived piping hot. And the rice and beans sides were not simply "throw away" items but rather tasty and fresh compliments. First time I went here three years ago it was fantastic. Last two times not so much. The last time we waited forever to get waited on, we were the only one's there. I don't know what the hell any of these other reviewers are talking about. I most have been at a different mexican restaurant in marsing. My wife and I walk in 130ish weds 9/28/16. Seat ourselves in the back towards the kitchen.. first table up front we sat wobbly and busted. 5 min ltr burnt chips salsa. Next I order special on the door grill chkn sand lett tom avocado. Don't have it... My wife orders Soup.... Dont have it. So I got steak sandwich fries wife got steak taco rice n beans. Both good price lunch 5-6 bucks. During our 20 min w8 we keep joking about hearing the microwave beep beep door slam beep beep door slam. Next thing we see big bowls of soup coming out left and right. Sigh.. and.. confused. Then our food my steak sandwichshoe sole chewy meat lett tom avoc on a soggy wet wheat bun.. wheat. Fries were hot and salt coated beyond belief. My wifes xtra miked dry rice n beans and steak taco with a diff kind of steak in lil grey more chewible pcs. Unedible. Then there was this older gentleman walking around bussing tbls mumbles to us in passing" That should be on the house". We half smiled. Worst thing was the waitress..Seen our plates barely touched never asked was there a problem and brought us our chk. People I implore you. Nailbanger Here Again;We were in town visiting family and we headed out to Dinner, not a lot of choices in Marsing Idaho.This is a little hole in the wall, and the decor is simple, but adequate, don't let the exterior scare you off ,the Food is exceptionally good,and very reasonably priced, most dinners between $5.25 - $16.First for the chips and salsa they are good and ask them for some of the refried beans to go as an extra dipping condiment.We all got something different the menu is adequate with lot of choices. The items consisted of different kinds of Enchiladas,Tacos,and Chili Relleno, with Rice and Refried Beans.The Taco are like street Tacos and the Enchilada Sauce is very good. The Chili Relleno's are authentic Whole green Chili`s stuffed with cheese and a light egg battered fried coating, with a red chili sauce, I highly recommend them. All our dinners were under $10.The menu has lots of other traditional Mexican items such as Chimichangas,Tamales, Soups and Seafood. We are from Tucson and known what Mexican food is all about.They have street parking and a small lot next to them.Bathrooms are not much to brag about. Enjoy read more
