I am a very happy customer with Alert 360 Home Security. They are so very quick about calling when your alarm goes off. I have used several other companies in the past however never had the quality service that Alert 360 has shown. The representative that I use is Danny Holland. Danny really cares about his customers and their security needs. He is not pushy at all. He is very knowledgeable about how to set up your system to give the most coverage without all the usual scare tactics most companies use to get your business and sell you a lot of extra things you really may not need. Horrible experience. With Covid-19 affecting us all, most companies are doing everything they can to help their customers so they can either retain them or insure the customer will come back after the pandemic is over, but not alert 360! I will be taking a massive pay cut so I needed to cancel service at least temporarily. When I called to cancel, they wanted me to pay for the rest of my contract... How does that help?!?!? I had already fulfilled a 3 year contract and am 3 months into a contract that I was auto renewed for without my knowledge. They told me I initialed something stating this would happen 3 years ago! How am I supposed to remember that?? When I complained they reduced my cancelation fee by $100, which would still have me paying 300 and something dollars! after speaking to a supervisor, they gave me a buyout option of $150 and said that was the best they could do! Absolutely ridiculous, I didn't even realize I was under contract as I said above because I didn't know about the auto renewing contract deal... that's not a deal by the way! Then I get a call from "the office of the CEO" what ever that is, and they said they heard I wanted to cancel, I told them the story above and they said there was nothing they could do. Well why did they call me then!?!?!? Instead of just taking a temporary break from them during covid-19... I'll be taking a permanent break from them. I'll never use them ever again, and I'll tell everyone I know never to use them. I was a 4 year customer for Guardian. The first year we had a carbon monoxide detector go out. They came to repair it. Didn't have the parts and disconnected it saying they would be back soon. Never returned despite repeated calls. We had multiple issues with the system but could never get assistance. Then we cancelled service. They declared we had a contract (we did a two year contract but they say it automatically renews annually). It mean despite their incompetence you owe for the year. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THIS MATTER WAS RESOLVED TO OUR SATISFACTION BY DRAKE FROM SOCIAL MEDIA SO WE UPDATED OUR STARS IN THE REVIEW: we closed down one of our locations and cut all the power, internet, and phone lines and they continued to bill for 2 years without notifying us that they were not receiving any signal. they somehow convinced us that it was our fault for not sending in a cancellation request. this was from 2016-2018. now, in mayof 2020 we had to leave another location due to covid. we contacted them to upgrade services in one location and cancel location on another. a rep came to our office and we clarified everything we needed. upgrade one location and cancel the other. now its november 2020 and they'r still billing the location we communicated was closed. again trying to place the blame on us for not sending a letter. i explained the rep came to the office and we signed a new contract but their greedy motus operandum did not want to release the account and want to continue to charge us for another 30 days. still no monitoring, no contract, and this greedy company wants to pry money from long term customers during a global pandemic scenario. read more

Constant technical issues. Poor customer service. We'd been calling for months about sensor alerts. Different sensors would alert and they kept telling me to change the batteries. Finally I said "All the batteries have been changed" you need to send someone out. Finally, they sent a tech out and he found we needed a signal repeater installed. Problem fixed. But then they charges us a $115 service charge. We had to call to get that removed. Also have constant issues with the cameras staying connected to the network but we don't have wi-fi issues with anything else. To me, it's a beating just having to call repeatedly to correct billing issues and technical issues and the hardware is not great quality and it's overpriced. read more

I reviewed this company, made a complaint, then the "customer service" made a big deal about how much they care. I followed their instructions and emailed them my concerns. They did not respond to my questions and "countered" my review without speaking to me- claiming that their records don't show any service done to my system. We did make a complaint, I emailed them twice, they have replied neither time. Now they are claiming that they just don't see it- BUT have not responded to the email they asked me to send. Jimmy from Guardian called me very quickly after I posted the review below. He was very helpful and did research and found that I was owed more than I thought. Considerably more. He could have easily refunded the 18 months and I would not have been the wiser. But he was honest and disclosed the full amount. I admire and appreciate him and have a new respect for Guardian. On October 1, 2015 we closed on our house and moved and it took an act of congress to get them to disconnect. We spent hours on the phone and finally had to go to the tower on 81st in Tulsa to take the disconnect form in since they could not accept it any other way. It is a secured building so we had to have the guard call up and get clearance to go up to the office. Finally the manager signed off on the disconnect form and assured us it was taken care of. I believed it and went on about my business. Now, 18 months later I realized they never stopped billing our account. I called and asked if our account at the address that sold was current. I was told that it was current and they had just taken Aprils payment. Then I told him it was suppose to have been closed 18 months ago. I was put on hold and then transferred to another department. Byron told me that he would send a disconnect form to my email address and they would contact me monday. I have not received the disconnect form nor have I received a call from them. Had this company for years. I got tired of the continued rate hikes and switched to simplisafe, which doesn't have contracts. When I tried to cancel with guardian, they said I had to give them 30 days advance notice to cancel, and charged me for an additional month after that. I called and complained, but they said I signed a contact (over5 years ago) and that they must have advanced warning. Interesting that the 'contract' allowed them to increase the price monthly without asking me first. I brought this up, and the rep immediately said he would talk with a supervisor. Ripoff company. They use strong arm tactics and renew contracts if very specific criteria aren't met. I sent letter 46 days before the end of the contract stating I was canceling service. They said they didn't get the letter, and that I should have sent it certified mail. How did they know I didn't send it certified (I didn't, but since they stated that they probably had the letter in front of them). Search the Internet for guardian alarm scam, you'll find similar stories from other people. It isn't often that I would give anyone just one star, but if anyone is deserving, it is these people. read more

I had the most horrible experience . I have a business and walked in with this awful , disturbing noise, echoing throughout my building. I called guardian and was told the problem is with my heat and air unit and not the alarm. called my heat guy and begged him to come right away as with this noise I can not do any business and have to shut down. he was nice enough to come and the problem was not with my heater. called back guardian and finally had my guy talk to them . long story short it took 4 calls, me paying a service call to heater guy , loosing two customers, being called a liar, threatening to cancel my business with them , for them to send a technician that same day. WARNING for anyone using this company or thinking about using them I have a word of warning with elderly parents. My mother was talked into buy their security system on a 3 year contract, my mother's health had been declining and passed away within that year. My mother paid for all 3 years ahead of time and I cancelled her system soon after her death. This company kept ALL of her money and did not refund the unused amount this is stealing and taking advantage of the elderly. I did file a complaint with the BBB and with the Attorney General. This company is crooks! when I got this equipment I was told there was no contract. they gave me 2 censors and 3 cameras and a monitor. I called to cancel because the system is pointless. my vehicles have been broken into several time while the camera faces my vehicles. the problem is the camera only records for 30seconds. So I called spoke to ignorant randal who stated that I have a 5 year contract. I never signed a contract. I called they came out, install I gave them the check for the automatic payments and that was it. I never signed a contract when I demanded to see it he became angry. Then he stated they don't service cameras and said he don't know where we got the cameras from. Then he stated they service 4 censors. I don't have 4 censors. Then when I demanded to see this contract he said someone else would email it to me. I never signed any paperwork. Then he stated they don't service cameras at all. If that's true why do they have cameras on the first page of their damn website. So per this conversation im paying for cameras that's recording but the company im paying don't monitor the cameras they some crooks STAY AWAY!! im filing a better business bureau report and im looking for an attorney read more

Buyer Beware!!. My property was burglarized 2 times, The first time the thieves even ripped the entire security system off of the wall!! Their alarm never went off. Their systems are defective, and Guardian refused to acknowledge this even after a 2nd burglary. The 2nd time the alarm did go off however Guardian did not dispatch the police to my house even though their system was showing that the thieves were present in the home. I contacted their customer service department numerous times but they did absolutely NOTHING!!! except tell me that I would be required to complete my security contract with them or pay them a hefty contract cancellation fee. I never write reviews but made an exception for this company. Their incompetence, greediness and business practice are really hard to find. Horrible customer service, the response rate to alarms is 50 %, the contracts are impossible to cancel. Stay away from them. In 2007 we signed a contract with Guardian Security which became Central Security Group (no wonder they changed their name) and didn't have any issues with the system, but when we moved to a new house they forced us to either pay out the existing contract or sign another one for an additional 3 years. We felt that we had no choice because we had 18 months left on the existing contract that we didn't want to pay for no reason. The system they installed at our new home was not installed correctly from the first day. Every window upstairs was connected to the same "zone" as they called it and that zone kept tripping the alarm when it was set. It would trip the alarm in the middle of the night, when we were at work, on vacation, etc. Each time we called we had to make an appointment and stay home all day to wait for a technician who would "fix" the problem only to have it trip again within a few days of having it worked on. This occurred four times over a year. The final time I had it serviced and the technician said to my face, it will never trip the alarm again, it tripped within 10 minutes of him leaving my home. In fact, the light for that zone is still on all the time to this day. I stopped setting the alarm because it would trip every day. Because they forced us to sign a 3 year contract we had to pay $684.97 for the remaining months on the contract for an alarm system that we didn't use. If we didn't they would take us to court and we would not only owe the $684.97 we would owe court costs, attorney fees for us and for them, etc. In addition to the inferior product, all I would get when I called customer service was a response that they could send a technician out but I would have to make an appointment and be there all day. Guardian Security is the worst security service I have ever had. The employees do not provide any type of customer service. The employees sound like they are high or something. The equipment is placed in areas that cause them to go off when they should not and then they expect the customer to pay for the service call. The remote we were given works about 50% of the time. DO NOT USE THIS ALARM COMPANY!!! According to the terms of the 3 year contract, you must immediately notify GSS at the end of 3rd year to cancel the service. Unfortunately, I waited 3 months after the 3rd year. I was told by Tammy with the "CEO's office" that unless they are notified, the contract automatically renews for another 12 months. So in order for me to cancel their services, I need to pay for another 9 months. Yes, this is stated in the contract, but REALLY??? What happen to providing a courtesy letter to the customer reminding them of the automatic renewal? Or, maybe a courtesy phone call asking if you would like to upgrade your alarm system? These people are greedy, deceitful, and unethical. read more

I would highly suggest finding a different security company to use. Currently renting a house that has a security system through Guardian. Called to turn the service off because we didn't feel the need to use it anymore. They made note of it in their system and said that the owner was the only one that could turn the service off, but that there was nothing else we needed to do and that they would be in touch with the owner. They never contacted the owner, so the service didn't get turned off and the monthly charges continued which we weren't notified of. $154 in back charges were due. We called the alarm company and were told that there were several notes where we had called trying to get the service turned off and the issue resolved. The owner is the only one who can retrieve these notes, but when they called Guardian, they told the owner there was nothing in their system saying that we tried to cancel and that we never called. Highly unprofessional, terrible customer service. Guardian doesn't want to be out $154 because someone on their side messed up so they lied to the owner and now we have to pay it. Absolutely not. My system would shut off every time I lost power. I was assured that I would not be charged if they had to come out, but I received a bill for services after i changed cable companies. My system has not been in working order for almost the entire 3 years, and I will not have them in my house again. Update to my original review- I did get a call from Lisa at corporate who was pleasant and seemed happy to resolve my issues. We reached an agreement that I could deal with. Though I was content after talking to Lisa I was genuinely impressed that about a week after speaking to Lisa I received a follow up call from another gentleman from the CEO office , can't remember his name, that was calling to ensure things were resolved and let me know that they were taking steps to address some of the concerns I raised. As I stated earlier, I had Guardian for years and hadn't had a problem til now and though it started rough they earned two more stars from me for caring enough to follow up. Customer service is making the customer feel they are being heard & that their issue is important, apparently someone in the CEO office understands that. Hopefully they address some of the customer service rep issues they have but all in all after this experience I'd consider using them again. read more

This is the notice I sent to Guardian to cancel my service. DO NOT ever use them!!! This notice is to inform you of my wish to cancel my service with you. I have been unhappy and dissatisfied with your service since the 5th week of activation. At that point the system started malfunctioning and sending false alarms resulting in my receiving several calls a day from your team and then them putting me on hold to transfer me to someone that could "help me". I then found out that the service warranty had expired after 30 days. I do not believe it was a coincidence that the alarm started malfunctioning soon after the warranty expired. The system would then beep, randomly, for no reason causing us to have to get up, activate it, and then cancel the activation to get it to stop. This happened every single day and night for 2 months. Then, at the end of my rope and completely fed up with the poor customer service and the fact that you wanted to charge me to come out and repair faulty equipment that you installed in our house, I ripped the equipment out of my wall after being woken up in the middle of the night by the smoke detector going off. This happened not once, but twice!!! Calling me and putting me on hold, installing faulty equipment, poor customer service, inability to cancel my contract by CALLING YOU AND HAVING TO WASTE TIME TYPING A LETTER, these are all reasons I am canceling my service. I will never recommend your company to any of my family or friends and I will be writing not one but several reviews about your company and your service on every web site I can locate that takes reviews. I understand I am responsible for $439.40 towards my contract for early cancelation and I will gladly pay anything to be rid of you. However if you feel that your company and representatives could have handled this situation better by providing your monthly paying customer outstanding service I will gladly except a credit on the cancellation fee and any and all months for which I did not use your service. Please make sure I am off every mailing list and email list as I do not ever want to hear from you or any representative with your company again unless you are informing me that you are in fact not going to charge me for canceling my service. Our alarm was malfunctioning. It was going off at random times during the day and night without being triggered. It took them days to get out and fix it after multiple phone calls. When we MOVED, we had to keep paying for the service even though we didn't live at that location. They said they could transfer the service to our new location but we would have to sign a new contract and be obligated to pay for them for three more years. I tried numerous times to get this resolved over the phone. I have been a customer for over a decade but I will never use them again!! read more

I signed up with Guardian Security July 1991. I recently became unemployed and tried to cancel my service. I have talked to 3 different customer service people and the final answer is, I may discontinue my service if I send a cancellation letter but I will still be liable for 4 months of service. I never had a problem with this company before, but this seems unreasonable that after 23 years of service I cannot cancel my service. Would not recommend them for this reason. read more

I had Guardian for 8 years and was very pleased. They called within seconds if my alarm went off and I never had a problem. We moved to a new house and that is where things changed. I was going to stay loyal to them and had them come to our new house to discuss getting the service switched to the new house. An unprofessional lady showed up and got out of a beat up car. I wasn't even sure she was with Guardian at first! I learned that another company had bought them out so I think the bad service started at that time. I was thinking they would let me transfer my current service but instead, they wanted me to sign a new contract at a much higher per price per month plus to pay an installation fee set up the service at our new house, even though it had a working system already. The sales people all quote different prices because it depends on how much they make on you. Like say the actual monthly service is $20 a month (which they won't tell you) they add about $10 a month that they make plus they talk you into paying for the glass break boxes, for instance, over the life of the service rather than a one time fee. That way once the device is paid for, they also make the additional amount and they know the consumer won't remember by that time. They are terrible. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. We moved to a new house from Edmond, OK to Oklahoma City, OK about 18 months ago. We had been with SecureNet Security for well over 10 years and wanted to transfer our monitoring contract from our old home to our new one. We were informed that SecureNet had been purchased by Guardian Security and that we would have to sign a new contract with Guardian for a year and even though we had 9 months of pre-paid service left on our SecureNet contract we would have to write a letter to SecureNet requesting that the 9 months left be pro-rated and transferred to our Guardian account. We sent the letter requesting this be done. 11 months after moving into our new home, our new home security system quit working. We tried for 5 months to get someone out to fix it and although we were told on 4 different occasions they would send someone out from Guardian, they never did. We told them we were canceling their service since our system didn't work and they said our contract had automatically renewed for another year and that we owed them for that. I asked about our credit from SecureNet and they said they never got one. They received my money in advance for 9 months which they never credited me for and are charging me to monitor a system that does not work which they won't fix. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I don't even want to give it one star, but I want my complaint posted. I was put on hold 3 different times when I called and I am sure the customer support employee was hoping I would hang up. Forty minutes later, I have spoken to two separate employees, in addition I was on speaker and quite certain my conversation was being recorded. A different employee was giving audible instructions to the employee on the phone with me, as though she had just started today. I had a code error on my home alarm that kept setting off our alarm over a 3-day time period. This inexperienced employee stated that the code indicated there was a communication error and the only way to fix it was to install a new system that was going to be required by Jan. 2017 anyway. I asked if there was a temporary fix because my contract with Guardian was up in June and we would be moving and I did not want to purchase a new system. My 6 year-old home was built in 2009 which is when the alarm system was installed. I just find it very peculiar that there is no offer to fix my current 6 year-old system, only to purchase an entirely new system. On top of this, the "Customer Service Support" employee could not, or would not give me the company's mailing address in order to send in my Contract Ending 30-day Advanced Notice, therefore I was put on hold again and was told I would be transferred to the Finance Department. While on hold, I looked this company up on the internet looking for their address and discovered numerous complaints. Finally, another employee comes on the line and eventually I get Guardian's mailing address with one difference according to the web; the employee gave me a different Suite # and when I asked her about that, she said it didn't matter. Either Suite # would work. I expressed that they might want to give that information to the Customer Support Personnel and I was told they are not required to give out that information! Really!!! You work for a company and you aren't authorized to tell your paying customers what your company mailing address is???? You would think that somebody in management would look at these reviews and make some "Customer Friendly Positive Changes". You are in a "Customer Service Business" Hello!!! read more
