I'm almost embarrassed to write this review. I used to be a really happy customer, seeing Dr. Miller at least once a year for preventive care. My only complaint was his punctuality. He is never on time for appointments. About two years ago I waited 45-mins in the lobby and another 45-mins in the exam room before walking out. I politely told the receptionist I was leaving and that I was fed up with waiting. I found another dermatologist easily enough. I made another appointment with Dr. Miller to see if the service had improved. I showed up today ten minutes early for my 3:15 appointment. It took until 3:45 pm before they put me in an examination room. Another 30-minutes went by with no sign of the doctor. I politely told the receptionist that I had waited long enough and was leaving. She asked why and I told her. Dr Miller has two signs in his lobby that tell you everything you need to know about their attitude towards patients. One says they will charge you if you're late or don't show up. The other says "everone brings joy to this office- some when they arrive, some when they leave". That about sums it up. I've gone to Dr. Miller for over 30 years for acne and other issues. My family has done the same because, unfortunately, some of us have a long family history of acne. Additionally, if it weren't for Dr. Miller, I'd not have my 2 year old daughter here as he was able to correctly diagnose an unusual skin condition that was the result of a vaccination and he helped the Loma Linda Children's Hospital to not only correctly diagnose her but to give her treatment. My daughter is now 25. There is only one dermatologist my family goes to. I recommend him highly- and I'm only writing this because, like previous posters, I do care about others and want to support this amazing man. read more

I needed a dermatologist right away. I came into the office today to see Alyssa Flanders for the first time. As a new patient I was a bit nervous because she was younger and a couple years into the field. But, I'm so glad I came in and got the experience as she was very professional, wise, and knowledgeable. It is nice to see someone passionate for what they do. As a marketing professional I get really into the detail and I believe that's really important. I really loved meeting someone who you can tell is really focused, provides solutions, and gives you options. She really hit the points with me as I came in with three underlying health issues that her and I mutually agreed on the situation. I'm looking forward to building this relationship with her as my dermatologist. Thanks again Alyssa! Be warned! Stay away from this charming polished character at any cost! - do not fall for his age or the charm. you will be very sorry! Worst Incompetent Unethical Doctor ever. Looks Nice , personable, but very incompetent and uncaring. I saw this Doctor twice for very painful skin issues. He gave me wrong prescription first time that had nothing to do with my problem and caused me serious problems and very upset stomach. When I told him about my problems then he said we have to try different medications to resolve your problem. At that time I knew I am dealing with an incompetent person who is in the dark as what is my problem. He gave me wrong medication again second time with no explanation again that caused my condition to become worse. I stop using the medication per advice of the pharmacist which helped. Meanwhile they not only charged my insurance they keep sending me bills. Very aggressive office to collect for something they have not performed. I called and cancelled the third appointment as my condition became worse and did not want to confront and be this guys experimental object. He never called to follow up and find out what happened to me and cause of complaints as clearly he did not know what was going on and or apologize or try to even find out what is my current condition. He did not care or probably did not know what is going on. As I predicted I recently heard he teamed up with another person due to his poor performance and incompetence and for not being up to date in medicine. Some one said he is great surgeon. Are you serious? I would not let this character touch me if he is the last self declared doctor on earth. Here is a hint! He does not care how long you sit there waiting. This guy simply does not care. I may report him to California medical board. This guy has no business being a dermatologist. May be he should be a photographer as is office is filled with all kinds of photographs. Bottom line I am posting this review since I care for people and worried for people so you care about yourself also and your skin condition and at all cost stay away and avoid this incompetent horrific uncaring Doctor who can cause you lots of medical problem. My mother saw him for a growth on her head. He said it was cancerous and needed to be removed, so she went back thinking that he would remove it. All he did was pick it off with his fingers. Now it has grown and needs to be done correctly. She is 91 years old and should have been treated better and not treated like she was worthless. I am really beyond angry that he was such a jerk to her. read more

Spent over a decade dealing with very painful, very inflamed "acne" on and around my nose that I'd kept under reasonable control but never really under full control. I had been to a couple of "top" dermatologists who would tell me it's acne and at my age all I need is retin-a or something like that. They made things much worse. I had moderate success with over the counter remedies until eventually I stopped and then had a major inflamed breakout on my nose that was almost disfiguring and very painful. New to the area, I made an appointment with Dr Miller. He immediately recognized that what I had wasn't so much acne but actually rosacea based on where the inflamed lesions were cropping up. All these years, all these dermatologists never figured it out and gave me the wrong treatments, maybe because it's not as common with darker skin tones. Dr Miller figured it out immediately. He gave me instructions for some Over the counter drugs that have worked reliably for well over a year now. read more

My current doctor referred me to another dermatologist to get some moles biopsied. When you hear, "Ooh, I don't like that mole at all. We better get that taken care of," - you would freak out, too! I was unnerved, because the last place I was referred to by my PCP was an absolute nightmare, and the referred dermatologist's online medical reviews were pretty scary (note to self - probably time to find a new PCP). Anyhoo, I took to social media and research to find a trustworthy, kind, and knowledgeable dermatologist that was able to get me in fairly quickly, and found Dr. Miller's office. I was able to get in within a week. The office staff was efficient and friendly, and I was in/out of my appointment within 15 minutes. Dr. Miller was VERY professional, explained things thoroughly, checked each and every mole, put up with my questions, and best of all - told me I absolutely did not need a biopsy done (after all that worry!). This doctor knows what he is doing, and isn't going to order unnecessary tests or cause further anxiety for his patients. He has extensive years of experience, published research, and - as someone that has had a lot of experiences with doctors in regards to my family members being in/out of hospitals for the last several years - I can sincerely attest that Dr. Miller treats his patients with utmost care. I left a very, very happy and healthy girl (with cute moles intact). I am looking forward to going straight to Dr. Miller again and referring any other patients his way. read more

I went to Dr. Miller to have a bump the size of a pinhead on my cheek looked at. He said it was cancer and had to be removed. He described a procedure that sounded simple. Dr. Miller scheduled four surgeries on the same day. I was scheduled to go first, (something I was not told). I had been to his offices only once before and on the day of surgery I had a hard time finding the place. I was 20 minutes late. Dr. Miller kept everyone waiting rather than start with someone else, (all patients were present and waiting). As Dr. Miller was preparing for the procedure he began whistling through his teeth. The assistant was laughing and saying, "Oh-oh," over and over again. I was horribly stressed due to being late and I lay on a bench crying. Then Dr. Miller cut my face from the middle of my cheek to the bridge of my nose, down the side of my nose almost to my lip. He removed the bump in a large chunk, then sent me into the waiting room to wait for the biopsy results and he took patient #2. An hour later I was put back on the bench and cut some more, then was sent to the waiting room again, crying and holding a huge bandage to my face. He took patient #3. An hour later, when the lab results came back, Dr. Miller said he had to cut some more and again I went onto the bench and, again, I was directed to sit in the waiting room until the results came back and he took his last patient. By then I had been there for four hours. Good news! Dr. Miller said he had gotten all the cancer cells and was going to sew me up. Then, Dr. Miller's nurse, (named Elizabeth,) left to go pick up someone at the airport. An elderly woman who was a retired, former office employee stepped in to take Elizabeth's place. This stupid woman was not a nurse and she did not know what to do. The tension between Dr. Miller and her was excruciating. End result is a five inch horrible scar on my face and a swelled nose due to his cutting a nerve on the bridge. I know that Dr. Miller did this to me deliberately because he was upset that I was late for the appointment. Dr. Miller is vengeful and malicious. Beware. read more
