Alexia's buffalo chicken pizza with ranch (instead of red sauce)
    Megan K.

Food is always delicious. Last night we had the BEST buffalo chicken pizza! I am so glad we chose Alexia's for takeout, it totally hit the spot.

Alexia's Pizza staff are always prompt in answering the phone. They are polite and efficient in taking my order and I have never had to wait for my pizza, ever. The pizza is great too! They are generous in their toppings, not the type of place where the more toppings you order the less you get of each individual toppings. Toppings should be by weight without fail. I'm not sure how they do it, but I have no complaints!

    Baclava was awesome.

Ordered a pizza on Friday night. Great size and ample toppings, just wished the onions were'nt minced.

Large 4 topping pizza, with their made daily crust. On half I had some items and the other half had all four toppings.

Pizza was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. This place had a steady flow of orders. We visited on a Thursday evening.

This is there Italian? Wears the Meat?

Just ordered two Italian Subs from here take a look at the pictures. This is what I got. This the least amount of sandwich I have received from anyplace that I have ever ate before. Not to mention that this is not and Italian Sub at all. Where is the Meat, Cheese and Vegetables? I called for a remake or a refund and the lady on the phone said they will not refund me for this sandwich! Never again will I order anything from here. What complete RIP OFF and really bad customer service.

    Interesting pizza eating attire

I describe the pizza here as something that strangely wants to be deep dish but doesn't have the qualifications to be so. Ordered a large sausage and pepperoni pie with a meatball sub to be shared among those in my group. The pie itself at first glance looked like it could have been really good as it was fully loaded with toppings. Upon further inspection (any by that I mean eating) the quality and quantity of the ingredients seemed off. Each slice seemed to have excessive tomato sauce and it tasted very tin-ny. Like right out of a can with no added flavor. There was also way too much mozzarella on each slice. The toppings seemed to also include bacon which wasn't what was ordered which was strange. The meatball sub looked great, the meatballs were tender but it also suffered from the same overload of not very good sauce and too much mozzarella. The service was fine and friendly. The environment was clean and welcoming. If Alexia works on their sauce and ratios, there is potential for something great.

Half pepperoni half spinach and green pepper pizza

Tasty pizza spot in a sleepy little town. The pictures on Yelp sold us and our pizza certainly didn't disappoint. We got half pepperoni half green pepper and spinach. The veggie half was my favorite by far - perfectly cheesy and lightly sauced. Not thick crust, but not too thin. We placed an order to go and picked it up about 15 mins later, nice and hot from the oven. It was about $15 for a large. Worth it!

I always hear stories of how awful pizza outside of the tri-state area is. I personally know better, having been to places all over the country. Alexia's is a perfect counterexample to this small-minded thinking. While the pizza is not as thin and crispy as the standard NY/NJ pie, the slightly thicker base and crust do this pizza good service. Sometimes you really want something fluffy and delicious like the base and crust from Alexia's. I really enjoyed the tangy, mild sauce. The slightly greasy, buttery cheese featured excellent browning and great flavor. I'm very happy with the pizza from Alexia's. I should also mention the fast service and friendliness of the staff. I hope to enjoy pizza from Alexia's again!

Get there early and you will probably see lobstermen unloading crates of lobster from the nearby harbor. It's not waterfront, but in the late fall you can see the bay through the trees after the leaves fall! Bonus! We ordered a traditional Maine style mayo lobster roll and a buttered lobster roll for comparison. The traditional Maine style mayo lobster roll was absolutely perfect! Just enough mayo to bind the fresh, plump, tender sweet cold water lobster meat. Oh and no fillers, just lobster meat (mostly tender sweet knuckle/claw meat, mmmmm) and just the right amount of mayo. Same for buttered lobster roll, just the right amount of clarified butter as a binder. No need to overpower the fresh delicate flavor of tender cold water lobster from Maine waters. Both lobster rolls were presented on an over stuffed buttered and grilled hot dog style roll. Plated with fresh, hot ,skin on shoestring fries and some house made slaw. Delicious! Both rolls perfect! Hard to tell which one we liked better. Maybe slight advantage to the traditional mayo style, just cause thats the way we like it. If you cant decide, We recommend you get one of each, split with a friend, and judge for yourself. Either way you wont be dissapointed. The Bayside store is not just a lobster roll place. Its a great old world style small market with something for everyone. You can get just about anything from breakfast, to a burger, to fresh house made soup, to a great selection of local craft beers! As soon as you walk in through the swinging screen door you feel automatically welcome. Seems like the place where there is always fresh hot coffee on and friendly staff to greet you. There are relaxing benches and some hightop counters to relax and enjoy your meal or a cup of coffee. Weather permitting, there is also casual and comefortable outside seating. Oh and the staff was so pleasant and welcoming. Makes you want to come back and be a regular! Highly recommended! 5+++++ We will return! Again and Again!

A few picnic tables outside for eating lunch or enjoying your ice cream. Easy in, easy out parking. The young ladies working the register and the deli were very friendly. I admit I haven't quite found my sandwich there yet. But I will keep trying. Lobster roll didn't have any (?) flavor but the McCrum fries and the Cole slaw were amazing. Be sure to upgrade to the basket. Enormous pile of fries, you can share among a small family! I hear the burgers are very good so that will be my next try off the menu. Cute place, friendly people, great selection. Definitely worth the stop.

The storefront is adorable with its red barn color and Victorian vibe, and inside you'll find cozy seating areas both indoors and outdoors, perfect for lingering a bit after shopping. The staff here are beyond friendly and helpful. In fact, this is the very place where the "blueberry pie survey" happened. We asked the lady behind the register where to find the best blueberry pie, and she started to ask customers who came by who they recommended. They directed us to Moody's Diner. Locals and staff alike are quick to share stories and recommendations, which makes it feel like you're part of the community even if you're just passing through. The store itself is full of surprises. They've got a wood-burning pizza oven (yes, in a general store, how cool is that?), hot lattes, teas, and other comforting drinks, because nothing beats sipping a latte in a Victorian-style shop while digging into a fresh out of the wood burning oven gooey cheesy slice of pizza. Add in their great selection of beer and wine, plus Maine classics like whoopie pies and Moxie soda, and you've got something for everyone. A local gentleman even gave me the full history of Moxie, and that kind of friendliness is exactly what makes this place so special. Outside, you'll find pretty flowers and herbs adding to the charm. Owen's is quaint, welcoming, and one of those stops that makes a Maine trip extra memorable. Definitely worth a visit or 5! I'll most def be going back!

I'm from New Orleans, where food doesn't whisper--it speaks up. After spending a full month traveling the Maine coast from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, I found plenty of fresh seafood and scenic charm, but very few dishes that truly woke up my palate. Then I walked into Hey Sailor. This place doesn't hold back. The flavors are layered, intentional, and memorable--each bite feels thoughtfully built rather than simply assembled. There's a balance here between creativity and comfort, with dishes that feel both elevated and satisfying. It's the kind of food that makes you pause mid-conversation because your attention suddenly shifts to what's happening on the plate. In a region where subtlety often takes the lead, Hey Sailor confidently turns up the volume without losing finesse. It's not just good for Maine--it's good, period. If you're someone who craves food with depth, personality, and a little punch, this is a stop worth making. For me, it stood out as one of only two places on this entire coastal stretch that truly delivered that kind of experience.
