Awesome bar and restaurant. It was the only place open at the time, but it was a great experience. The decor was interesting and the waitress was super friendly. The food selection was unique and we didn't expect it, but it was tasty!

We love eating here! Service and food are impeccable. Can't go wrong with any of the food or drinks. The decor & vibe are pretty laid-back, but don't let that fool you: it's a super solid dining and drinking experience. My personal fave are the enchiladas with stellar mole.

Food was 10/10, loved the fries. The ambiance was amazing and we also got to hear live music playing

This place had high stars, it must for their tacos and dining in because it's not for their pizza or ordering Togo. I'm traveling through the coast of Maine so was looking for a place to get food on the way to my hotel and this place popped up. They close at 10 and their kitchen closes at 9. Around 8, I try putting an order thru on their website, which it told me to and said orders need to be placed by 9, so I still had an hour. It wouldn't let me order even though I still had 45 minutes before the kitchen closed..ok, let me call. No answer it just said check our website. I tried multiple times and nothing. I'm basically desperate as this is the only place still open. I get there at 8:50 now and run in to place my order before the kitchen closes and tell them the situation that I tried putting in the order online and calling and it wouldn't take it I already know what I want, don't even need to look at a menu. Great! he puts it in. I realized why they don't take calls as a show was going on across the bar and it was so loud obviously that's why they couldn't take calls. My pizza was going to take about 15 minutes so I walked around the venue and this lady was like if you're going to watch the show you need to buy a ticket - that's when I told her I was waiting on a pizza. I went back to the bar corner after that so I couldn't "see" the stage. It's a tiny venue and the peoplein the dining area next to the stage and the peopleat the bar facing the stage were watchingthe show so i figued it was just part of the restaurant. They also closed the door to the bar so the only way to get in was through where the stage was. The bartender was really nice though and offered me a water while I waited. Finally the pizza was ready. I brought it back to my hotel 15 minutes away - not too far - and It was awful. Looks nice, but the bread was so hard, it was like the dough was overworked, the sauce wasn't normal pizza/tomato sauce it was more like chef boyardee. Maybe that's what they give late people, but I tried putting it in an hour beforehand so I don't know. Like I said, the reviews on here must be for the tacos/burritos but I figured pizza was the easiest to get to-go.

Just had a quick Saturday brunch and had an incredible breakfast burrito bursting at the seams. I ordered a special marinated chicken addition, succulent! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Chic, cool bar. Happy I braved the Searsport construction and finally ate here. If you can't park on street, there're a few spots in back or at the waterfront park (quick walk to Main St).

Great people! Simple small menu, but oh what they do with those items! Love that I can order mix and match tacos - all unbelievably delicious!! My partner ordered a salad - both a work of art AND absolutely delicious. Drinks were amazing! HIghly recommend.

What an amazing venue for our community! Excellent food, a varied mix of live music, entertainment and community events like open mic and writer's readings once a month. I was new to the area and blown away by this unassuming establishment. They serve the most delicious pozole and tacos as well as wood fired pizza and a rotating menu of special dinners. The drinks are spot on as well! The staff is friendly and handle the pressure of busy weekends with grace! I come here every opportunity I get!

Loved the food and ambience! The Fungi pizza was super tasty, along with the sailor fries. The vinegar on the fries was what sold us on getting a basket and we didn't regret it. The place filled up quick as there was live music that night, and we were happy to hear the musicians get compensated very well for their gigs. We were visiting from out of town and I'm glad we stopped by! Service was great too, I absolutely loved my Wicked Good Sour!

Good food, good service. I liked the atmosphere. It was warm so I'd recommend turning the AC on but otherwise a good meal.

We walked up and we're told by the host that there's a 15 min wait at 6:15PM for inside seating pur we could sit in the outdoor lounge area. We walked around the block and came back just as the host was calling to tell us there was a bar seat available. We descended the steps to what I could only describe as an underground secret garden. It was compact but did not trigger my claustrophobia. There were tables, couches and the bar. We sat at the bar right in front of the cake stand for the oft mentioned Texas Sheet Cake. I ordered the marg special which was grapefruit; my husband ordered the blood orange. Both delicious but the blood orange was a much brighter citrus flavor. We ordered the chips and salsa with a small side of guacamole. I thought the salsa was amazing but husband said it was too much cilantro for his soap gene. Dinner was chicken tinga tacos for me and duck confit tacos for him. The chicken tacos were delicious, among some of the best I've had. The tortilla was a warm, soft, extremely flavorful flour tortilla packed with chicken and topped with microgreens. I'm not a big duck fan so I didnt try my husband's tacos but he loved them. Our second round of drinks was the spicy margarita for me and the same blood orange for him. The spicy margarita did NOT disappoint. We got the last piece of the chocolate Texas Sheet Cake to go as well as an orange vanilla spice cake slice. We ate them at home and both were very good. The staff was all very friendly, funny and warm. We'll go back but definitely wasn't expecting amazing tacos in Maine.

As connoisseurs of Mexican food, it's oftentimes a little dicey to try new places, but other reviews convinced us. The counter and grill are in a colorful space, letting you know that the food will be colorful, too. Not just in taste, but because of the vibrant local fresh ingredients. There are picnic tables scattered around, plus a screened area, and a big sand pit and swingset for the kiddos. My crab quesadilla was amazing, made better by the side salad, guacamole, and cabbage salad. We also has a carnitas and a carne asasa burrito, which were stuffed full of tasty ingredients. While they don't sell alcoholic drinks, you can get them at the close by store and have them with your meal, or BYOB. But their selection of non alcoholic drinks is plenty! Mexican Food in Maine? Absolutely!…read more We found this amazing Mexican spot right in the middle of downtown Bar Harbor, and let me tell you the location couldn't be better! Families were walking by, live music was playing across the street, and people were sitting barefoot on the grass trying to stay grounded. Meanwhile, we were being spiritually guided by the smell of Mexican food coming from Salsa Verde Grill. It pulled us in like a tractor beam! We started with the fresh guacamole, blue corn chips, and their Christmas sauce a combination of red and green sauce. Oh man Christmas came early! That sauce was so good I almost asked for it in a cup with a straw. My wife ordered the steak burrito, and it was so big she couldn't finish it. Imagine that! I ordered the enchiladas topped with a fried egg, refried beans, and rice. Oh boy, I was stuffed but somehow kept eating like I was training for the Mexican Food Olympics. Our daughter ordered the same thing as Dad, but hers was smothered in that delicious holiday sauce. She couldn't finish hers either. My wife and daughter are a couple of wimps! Or maybe I'm just a big-backed roly-poly with no quit in me. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was perfect. We absolutely recommend Salsa Verde Grill when visiting Bar Harbor. Come hungry, wear stretchy pants, and don't blame me when that Christmas sauce has you licking the plate. Bye-bye now!
