Oh....my.....God. Seriously the BEST Italian meal I've had. And that's coming from an Italian! Mama Gizzi is normally a pasta shop but hosts a supper club Thursday-Sunday for a small group of people (I believe 10-12). We came here tonight for my friend's birthday and had the place to ourselves. Mama Gizzi and her husband had the place all decorated for my friend with balloons and made a beautiful cake adorned with flowers just for her. They were both lovely, funny people. We enjoyed their company and we had a lot of laughs! The meal is served family style with what seems like never ending appetizers and main dishes being brought out fresh from the kitchen to the table. The food is out of this world. Seriously unique and delicious. Everyone at the table kept raving about how good it was. The cake was also incredibly delicious and they served it with homemade gelato....we were all stuffed but managed to eat a whole slice each. You NEED to try this place. In fact, I'm urging you to try this place. Call for reservations, invite your friends and prepare yourselves for a decadent meal.

I just want to touch base about my most recent visit to Lenora's. I've been to this location about three times. This is the location on Dixie Highway. They have open air seating, which is really nice on most evenings. This particular evening we arrived about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close more like 35 minutes before they were scheduled to close at 10 PM. It was a Friday night. We ordered a pizza and the rigatoni with mushrooms and cream sauce and I wanted to add a piece of salmon to it. After we sat down, my boyfriend's pizza came out in about seven minutes maximum. It was piping hot. The cheese was kind of sloppy and all over the place. It didn't really look like it was made with love. But he said it was good. My food however, took about 20 to 25 minutes longer than his pizza did. He was done eating his entire pizza before my food came out. That's never a good situation. They could've at least warned us of that, or let us know that that would be the case if they didn't realize it until they started making the food. There were only two other tables there. Once my food did come out, the salmon that I added for protein was almost $15. Obscene! I could get almost 3 pounds of salmon for that amount. It was maybe a 6 ounce piece maybe. And when they brought it out, it was raw in the middle. So I had to send it back and that was not met with a positive attitude, even though we brought up the issue with a very positive attitude despite having to wait almost 30 minutes for me to even get my food after my boyfriend had finished his pizza. They brought the salmon back and when they returned it, the employee was very pleasant and asked if I wanted to check it first. I ended up eating half of the pasta and packing the rest up to take home because by this time it was a few minutes after 10 o'clock and we didn't want to sit there as the only table left when we knew that they were obviously ready for closing time. One thing I must say is that I think divine intervention kept me in a great mood because they played my favorite journey song, they played my favorite song of all time, which is Tears for Fears. Everybody wants to rule the world, and then they played Bob Seger, who is definitely the artist who would've been my boyfriend or at least my celebrity crush had I've been born a few years earlier. Anyway, that's me giving it to you Straight No Chaser. Enjoy!

We ordered a Margherita pizza with mushrooms and sausage, fresh mozzarella, and basil. The crust was delicious but failed the fold test. Frankly, I don't give a damn . It was so good I even ate my girlfriend's crust! The sauce was thick and balanced, the toppings plentiful and fresh. We both looked at the last slices and after deciding to take them home, we instead couldn't resist and ate them. Very reasonably priced, under $20.

From the moment you walk in, the romantic ambiance sets the tone--warm lighting, elegant decor, and that unmistakable cozy Italian charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. The food absolutely delivers. The Salmone was beautifully prepared with a delicate herb crust, complemented by a light garlic sauce that enhanced the flavor without overpowering it. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was equally impressive--rich, hearty Tuscan ragu layered with a perfectly balanced red tomato sauce that tasted slow-cooked and deeply comforting. And then dessert--the Olive Oil Cake--simple in concept but exceptional in execution. Moist, subtly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. What truly elevates Cafe Med, though, is the service. It's attentive without being intrusive, polished yet warm. A special mention goes to Gina, the general manager, whose welcoming presence makes you feel like more than just a guest. She sets the tone for hospitality that feels genuine and memorable. Cafe Med isn't just a meal--it's an experience. And then came again after we were served asking if everything OK, I said a slight mixup in wife's order (given regular vs special that night which was to be a different companionate adder to fish dish) and he jumped right on it. Had it fixed in a NY minute. I just hope no one was shot in the kitchen. Watching him work the tables and staff was a restaurant symphony. Was comped a glass of any wine. Service AAA+ obviously. Food AA Italian comfort main stream. I had veal Vesuvio and was on point, She had the a fish dish liked also. Ambiance: This nigh was like a Vegas casino. Older crowd but we fit in. He said Neil Diamond (honor performance) would be on later if I wanted to come back (HaHa felt like wanted a Goodfellows walk thru the kitchen to the table). Overall , a rememberable experience.. As a heads up, If you want a booth I was told one must reserve at least a month in advance by waiter. One recommendation...get a grappa or at least an Italian digestive aperitif after dinner menu.

I'll admit, I didn't expect a restaurant inside a Hilton to be this authentic, but Osteria by Capri is a total hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, the vibe shifts from "hotel lobby" to an upscale, intimate Italian lounge. The food is clearly made from scratch. We started with a liittle charchuterie of Spicey Capocolo and Red rpasted Peppers and cheese.. For the mains, the homemade Rigatoni and the Eggplant Parmigian were the stars--the portions are huge, and the sauce tastes like it's been simmering all day. They even brought out complimentary meatballs to start, which was a classy touch. Service was top-notch; our server Courtney was attentive without hovering, and the owner, Joey, actually made the rounds to check on tables. To top it off, the Tiramisu is a must-order--it's easily the best I've had in Florida.along with the Joey Cannolis with Nutella. It can get a little loud when the music kicks in, and be aware of the small surcharge for credit cards, but for the quality of the meal and the "old school" hospitality, it's worth every penny.

It used to be a French restaurant for about 20 years and then kept changing hands with different types of cuisine. I am really hoping that is one of those restaurants that will make it. Our dinner experience here tonight was extremely pleasant. This is a huge restaurant with three rooms and a bar. There's a choice of about seven entrées and several salads and appetizers. We were a party of three and decided to try Pomona because we've never eaten there before. To start out with, I have got to give a shout out to our waiter Liam. I'm a senior citizen and I've eaten all over the world in many restaurants of every size and reputation, but I have never had a waiter as good as Liam. Even in Michelin five star restaurants in Europe . He was extremely pleasant, courteous, personable and ensured that we had a memorable dining experience. Let's face it. The food can be extraordinary, but if the weight staff sucks, then the experience is horrible. On the other hand of food could be mediocre, but if the service is outstanding, then you might overlook the mediocrity . It was the little things our waiter did like in between the appetizers and the salads and the main meal he came and gave us new napkins and changed all of our silverware. I have not even seen this in five star restaurants. He checked up on us frequently, which is something that waiters rarely do in any restaurant nowadays -- they usually take your order and that's the last you'll see of them until it's time for the check. But Liam checked on us frequently and make sure we had water and whatever we needed. Both my husband and I ordered the herb encrusted grouper. It was literally melt in your mouth grouper with some type of sauce that was made in heaven. The presentation was over orzo. I also had a Caesar salad. The third member of our party had the vodka penne. She loves Italian food and she said it was delicious. The portions were so huge that we had to take some home. Everyone in our party also had a Moscow Mule. For the quality of the food and the service this place was very reasonable --a party of three with cocktails, dinner, appetizers, and salad came to $155 before tax and tip. We will definitely return. And here is hoping that Pomona will last because we need a restaurant like this in downtown Lake Worth.
