I visited this store for a friend's wedding, in which I'm a bridesmaid. The location was not convenient for me as I live in Cincinnati and this was in Dayton, but not a big deal...it's for a friend! When I walked in, no one offered to help us and the store was not busy at all. When I finally approached a staff member, they did not have the bridesmaid dress in the bride's file, even though they were supposed to. It was quite a mess to figure out which dress it was but I finally got in touch with the bride. Crisis averted. They gave me the dress to try on (which I do like) and it was a very large size. This disappointed me greatly as I could not tell what the dress was going to look like once it fit (I typically wear a size 0-2). I understand that stores carry large sizes to accommodate a variety of women, but I believe they should also carry a small sample size. The staff members were friendly while taking measurements and ordering the dress but overall I was not impressed by this store. I will not be buying my bridesmaid dresses here for my wedding for a variety of reasons, but mainly because of their location and lack of sample sizes. I want my bridesmaids to be comfortable and know what the dresses will look like before they order them. read more

I was very disappointed with the service I received here. I made an appointment, and when I showed up on time I stand around and wait for 20 minutes, I only was helped when I when to the front desk and reminded them I was there. The lady that 'helped' us was rude and made me feel guilty because I was trying on dress after dress. The dressing rooms were not that big or roomy. They had a couple in the front that were, but they had bridesmaids taking up those rooms and I was a bride. It was just a horrible experience on what was supposed to be a special day for me. They did have a nice selection of dresses though, that's why they even got 2 stars. read more

We came to this 'signature store' without an appointment on a Friday afternoon. Things were a bit frantic when we walked in, no one seemed able to help us or sure what to do with our 'drop in' (though this is of course not unusual, right?). I was worried. We'd traveled about an hour to check this place out and it seemed, at first, to be an error. But then, the tone of our visit shifted immediately when we met Annie. SHE. WAS. FANTASTIC. (And also helping another bride, but totally capable of figuring out how to manage both of us- props to her). She continued to be cheery, helpful, and pleasant for the entirety of our visit. She made the experience and I would recommend working with her for professionalism, congeniality, and dedication to the goal at hand. I came in to this store as the bride looking to try on some dresses for my girls who are all over the US. My wedding dress consultant recommended this line for affordability, good quality fabric, and versatile styles in many colors. I tried on about 15 dresses, ranking them along the way, ended up with 3 we all liked (mom, future mom-in-law, fiance). In the end I shared this with my girls and they wanted me to decide. I did, with ease, because Annie had been so forthcoming with her feedback, clear about set backs about certain styles, fits for body types, etc. Making decisions around weddings has come to be a bit of a stressor for me (so many details!), but I credit the great dresses at Alfred Angelo and the help of Annie to my success in checking this off my list. I recommend this store if you're looking for bridesmaid dresses in the $130-170 dress range (they have more expensive ones of course, if you're not concerned about price). This is by far a steal in the crazy industry of weddings, and I'm really looking forward to the hopeful utility and reusability of these dresses. Do not even waste your time! My dress seems like it was cheaply made (in bright light you can see through it), and it was not cheap. Also, I was told that the dress would be made special to fit me and when it came in 4 months later it was not! It now will only zip half-way up my back, and I have not gained any weight. So when we took the dress up there to talk to their manager, all she had to say was that who ever informed us of that was wrong, and that they would be happy to fix the alterations but we would still have to pay for them! But I'm not going to even take my dress back to them for the alterations, they have gotten all the money they are going to get out of me. read more

We stopped into Alfred Angelo's on our way to visit another bridal shop near by. Even though we did not have an appointment and the ladies were obviously helping other customers, Taylor was able to assist my daughter with trying on a few bridal dresses. We were honest that we were going to another bridal appointment and would need to leave. Regardless, she thanked us and wished us luck finding a dress. The next bridal salon was extremely busy...we waited 20 min past our appointment time to be helped. My daughter tried on several dresses she liked but none compared to the one from Alfred Angelo. So, 10 minutes before closing time on a Sunday, we went back to Alfred Angelo's...surprisingly, the ladies were very pleasant to let my daughter re-try on the dress. We stayed 45 minutes after the closing time to finalize accessories and to purchase her wedding gown. With the military discount we saved 30%. My only concern is getting the dress in time for fitting & alterations before the wedding date in 4 1/2 months. I will definitely update this posting in 12 weeks!!! read more

I made an appointment having never been to the store. I saw the gowns online and picked out a few I wanted to try on. Particularly one of the Belle dresses since my theme is beauty and the beast. The staff was very helpful and polite and genuinely wanted to help. After trying on several dresses and realizing a ball gown was too much dress for me she suggested an a line style. These dresses fit much better and was more what I was looking for. After a few more dresses she suggested trying a gold dress. It was absolutely perfect! I have red hair so it matched very well together. Unfortunately they weren't able to order the dress before my wedding so I decided to buy the sample dress for a discount and have it altered at the store. I am immensely happy with my decision to go to Alfred Angelo's and I highly recommend them. read more

Just received an apology from someone with Alfred Angelos, she stated that the District Manager has been informed of my experience, and training will take place. I'll be checking back here over the next few months, to see if the negative reviews have ceased. According to the store information on Yelp, this is NOT a "shop by appointment only store". They either need to update signage on the door to state that walkins may be ignored, or be honest and update Yelp, and admit that appointments ARE necessary, and Walk-ins are not welcome. It's their business, not mine how they run it. I will never recommend this store, and have informed everyone I know with a daughter getting married soon to avoid Alfred Angelos like the Plague....... read more

Horrible customer service! Employee told me to come in anytime to pick up my bridesmaid dress & when I got there they said I needed to make an appointment. They have very limited times that alterations lady is available. They make you buy dress even if it comes in & dosen't fit. I purchased my wedding dress from this store. I was looking for a simple wedding dress and my girlfriend suggested a bridesmaid dress in Ivory. When I went for the fitting, the customer service was great. In and out in 20 minutes. I placed a rush order on the dress which the wedding was 8 weeks away. I received the dress in 4 weeks but it was the wrong dress. The store transposed the numbers and ordered the wrong dress. I was told the manager would call me the next day and see what they could do. She never called me back and I had to actually call her. She called the warehouse and they did not have the dress I wanted in stock or could get the dress ordered in time for the wedding. The new dress had straps and needed to be altered. I demanded to have this dress altered for free. She said absolutely and said they would talk about compensating me when I had my alterations done. But.. she tried to schedule the alteration visit 1 week before the wedding. I said absolutely not considering I have no faith in them. She pushed the schedule around and got me in 2 weeks before the wedding. I showed up for the alteration appt and of course, she was not there. I figured we would talk when I picked up the dress. Tuesday before the wedding I had an appt at 11am to pick up the dress and the seamstress called me and said she forgot my dress at home and she couldn't get me in until that Thursday. I said absolutely not. I was such a wreck. I had to have my sister call and demand to have the dress that day. After a very rude phone call we had an appt that night to pick up the dress. The alterations were perfect. Afterwards we talked to the manager and was first going to be charged for the alterations, but I reminded her that my original dress did not have straps and did not need alterations. She then decided to give me the alterations for free but that would be the only compensation I would receive. After a very rude conversation, my sister got a free garter. She tried to call the corporate office and get an amount taken off the dress but conveniently the office was closed. Funny how she can be the manager and give me a garter as a comp but not comp off an amount of the dress This whole wedding dress experience was horrible. I should of went to David's in the first place. read more

Yesterday 12/09/12 was my third time coming to this store and I have always had a great experience. My sales rep was Colette and she always had a smile and a hug waiting for me and my bridesmaids. The first time I came was in September and I had an appointment and I can only say a big thank you that she was my bridal consultant. She helped me find my perfect dress and it was just a wonderful experience. I came when they were having a sale so I originally saved $100 based on the amount of the dress I was getting, but she also gave me an extra $50 off for a total of $150 in savings. My dress was supposed to come in around Christmas and it was in after Thanksgiving!!! I went there yesterday to pick up my dress yesterday and to my delight Colette was there. We caught up on happenings on how much progress I made since we last saw each other in September and she updated me on her wedding that will take place this weekend. Because I just walked in to get my dress, no notice to the staff, it was so nice that she remembered so much about me, my wedding, the concerns I had for hair and my colors. I was super impressed because let's face it, if I had scheduled this appointment she could have read up on my file but siince this was a spur of the moment outing to get my dress, her remembering me was all the more better and genuine. I stayed and chatted with her for roughly 30-40 minutes before I left because that is how comfortable I feel there and with her. I scheduled my alterations for March 4th and I am so hoping to catch up with her again. The kicker is that she does not work on Sundays, but she came in because she was taking time off for her honeymoon and wanted to work as much as she could beforehand. Go to this place to get your dresses ladies. You will not be disappointed especially if you have Colette. Request her by name if possible. I live in Covington and so Miamisburg is far from me, but I knew I wanted an Alfred Angelo and my experience has been nothing but POSITIVE!!!!!! read more

I was measured for a dress 2 months before my daughter's wedding. When it arrived I went in to try it on. The top was extremely tight, making it difficult to breathe. It was still too small after alterations. When I spoke to the clerk, she asked if my weight had changed. It did. I actually LOST 14 pounds from the time I was measured to the time it was delivered. Each time I was in the store for alterations, the manager was not available. I sent an email to both the local manager and to corporate and have yet to receive a response. read more

I was really excited to visit this store to try on some wedding gowns, since I had seen some dresses that I really loved on their website. My experience was miserable. I made an appointment, but when I got there I had to wait probably 15 or 20 minutes for someone to say anything to me. The girl who finally ended up helping me was horrible. I told what kind of dresses I liked (I was very specific), and she brought me some dresses, most of which did not fit the description I gave her. After I tried on maybe 3 or 4 dresses and didn't like any of them, she became extremely rude. She completely gave up on the appointment after this. She brought me dress after dress that were not at all what I described to her (I told her I didn't like dropped waist ballgowns-- she brought me several). I tried to stay polite and happy even though I was getting really discouraged, but she would take me in the room, put a different dress on me, and send me out and without saying a word the entire time. She put me in probably 15 different dresses that did not fit my description, even though I continually reminded her what I was looking for. Towards the end of the appointment, she put me in a dress and then walked away and I didn't see her again. The manager took over the appointment at this point and helped me out of my last dress. I was extremely offended by the fact that she basically abandonned me without saying anything. Moral of the story, all of the dresses sucked and were very cheap looking and feeling, the service was terrible, and I could have done better at David's Bridal!! read more
