Great find in the hood. Joseph Alfresco just did a great job installing a line to my fridge. It was under the smallest crawl space in my 1940s home. Something I DID. NOT. WANT. TO. DO. MYSELF! He showed up on time and worked smart and efficiently. As you know, with any construction, you never really know how much it is going to cost until you start opening up the floor, walls, etc. He had a plan, clearly communicated it to me and then executed it. Luckily for me ($$ wise), there were no hidden problems under the floor or in the crawl space. So it was pretty straightforward. I'm thinking of redoing the original bathroom in my house and moving the tub - I'll be using him. He clearly knows construction and has a creative side of figuring out the best possible way to install stuff. I know there is dry rot, there has to be, it's the original bathroom and there are cracked tiles etc. I trust once the demo happens, he will work with the carpenters to replumb for my new layout. Once again! Jose to the rescue. Jose took our leaky sink faucet to completion with good cheer and hard work. What started as a simple switch of old to a new faucet became the nightmare rusted out, impossible to remove situation. Jose hung in and had to burr it out with his tools. I hired Alfresco Plumbing to do a nasty job in our back yard. A pipe had broken underground and was flooding the yard. Joseph came the same day I called. He was professional, polite, and really really fast. I thought the job would take all day but he had found the source of the problem within an hour and had it fixed a couple hours later (which included running out to get the right part). Joseph explained his plan for fixing the leak carefully and patiently so I understood my options. I was afraid he'd have to tear up our whole lawn but he was very methodical about how he looked for the source of the leak, and the damage to the lawn ended up being minimal. He only charged $50/hr. so the whole cost was way lower than I expected. My husband and I were so happy with him we hired him back to do some minor fixes around the house--snake a slow-draining sink and tub, fix a leaky kitchen faucet, etc. Again, he showed up on time, communicated well, and finished the work quickly. I needed a problem solver and Joseph was the perfect person for the job. I needed him to reroute cold water to a valve that was dead. It was going to require drilling through the wall and I needed him to be as surgical and clean as possible. Not only did he provide me I'm a very fair price for the job, his finish work was superb. I can't praise Jose highly enough. The work he did was far beyond my expectations. I was coming to grips with the harsh reality that I finally needed to have all of my ancient original galvantized water pipes from 1916 replaced. Jose and the crew he worked with did the job and soooo much more. They did some rerouting of pipes, they removed a ton of absolutely unnecessary pipes from an old laundry room that use to exist--and numerous other things that brought my plumbing situation from the 1900s to 2018. They even snaked all of my drainage pipes for the hell of it! All for the original price that was quoted--which was incredibly reasonable for a three-man-team (they also hired a guy to deal with the messy job of cutting thick-rooted juniper shrubs and digging up a clean strip in the front yard to get to my front yard. So I guess you could say it was a four-man crew). And I could write an entirely new review praising his work ethics but I'll just say he communicated every single chore that needed to be done in detail but in friendly layman's terms. They were always on time and apologized for the slightest inconveniences such as noise or shutting off water for a short period. Great team. read more

Jose is great. I called him before to install a new dishwasher. I had work done in the kitchen and my contractor said it was ready for it to be installed. He said the wiring wasn't right, and to let him know when it was corrected. Even though he lost work coming to my house, he did not charge. Well, I had the work corrected and now I have a new dishwasher. Now I need to buy a new garbage disposal, he's sending me to "his" place to purchase it with his discount.
