This was on a random Thursday, and luckily, it was 10:55am! So naturally, I decided to stick around for the tour lol. You walk up a short path to John Muir's house, where a docent leads a quick tour that's about 20-25 minutes. Afterward, you're free to explore the rest of the house, including the second and third floors, at your own pace. I especially enjoyed reading about the lives of John Muir's in-laws, wife, and daughters, which gave the house a more personal feel. The top-floor bell tower was a fun surprise -- you can actually ring the bell! I also enjoyed walking around the rest of the property and seeing all the different fruit trees that were planted there. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. It's always cool stumbling across a local historic site and getting to learn a little more about the history of the area. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby!

According to Brittanica, John Muir was largely responsible for the establishment of Sequoia National Park and Yosemite National Park. Muir was a preservationist that didn't agree with allowing industries to harvest resources within the national parks. He was able to swing public and congressional opinion in favor of national forest reservations through his writing, which led to the establishment of Mt. Rainier National Park in 1899 and Grand Canyon National Park in 1919. His home became John Muir National Historic Site in 1964. Much of the exhibits within the home discusses his personal life and achievements. He was the eldest of 8 children, immigrated to the U.S. in 1849, and he married Louie Wanda Strentzel in 1880. He and his wife had 2 daughters named Wanda and Helen. In his lifetime, he has written 300 articles and 10 books, which can be purchased online and at Muir Woods National Monument and Bear Valley Visitor's Center. I highly recommend visiting this site if you'd like more information :) there's a lot more details here.

The inside was very spacious it had two bathrooms and a full kitchen along with a bar a stage and a dance floor, there was so much room which was a great thing cause we have a huge family. The baby shower turned out amazing delicious food and drinks and you know when alcohol is involved and we haven't seen each other in a while we turnt up lol. If you are planning a wedding or baby shower or a birthday and want it to be amazing book this place you will not be disappointed.

Before entering the building, a nice security guard greeted us and gave us options to get to the second floor, either elevator or stairs. We chose the wooden stairs! The whole venue has a cool, rustic feel with its wood and brick facades. My first impression was that they must've just freshly varnished the entire floor because that's what it smelled and looked like. Thankfully the smell didn't overtake the venue. The floor looked great! LOL The family did all the decorating and provided the food. There is a small kitchen to do prep work. In the back there is a long bar area and a small stage. Table and chair storage holders are big and cumbersome and can't be camouflaged during your event. Bathrooms were slightly dated but brightly lit. They should update their bathroom stall latches to something other than hook and eye closures. Overall, a nice spacious area for your event.

However when they called back to complete the interview after speaking with her supervisor I felt a little better. Thank you for all that you do, you didn't have to but you truly made a difference in my life and proved (again, didn't have to) that you cared.

This was a rare opportunity to progress and an intense 30 minutes before curtain to recover my birth certificates. I was so pleased that I could get out of there with some new tips! 45 miles riding my bicycle prior to entering into the building with my navigational skills. On my I-Phone she required me to make a wrong turn and she failed to give the right directions it was a blessing! I finally made a wrong left turn one block before Castro I was so done. My makeup looked okay that everyone was avoiding me because I wasn't trying that hard to be on your team or whatever and miss out! Surely I thought it was just a slice of her negativity and I would be on my way. How positively fitting of her to help me find my record because I was a fighter! The new 21St Century official birth certificates is kind of a legacy. My bus driver told me I would get in there okay. My bus driver knew I live in a world of manipulation and lies and to someone nice would be there to help serve me. It was unkind of her to hold back the right directions to kind of know how it works to how nervous I was to stop and ask strangers if this was it? Shape shifting is a vampire skill to hone over one's mind and no way for children who were adopted to searching for their biological mothers and fathers everywhere! There are a lot of people that want to find the truth to know their real birth mothers! Sorry isn't enough if you were adopted and you don't know who your biological mother or father really is! God makes the rules!I know my two adopted daughters are looking for their real birth mother; me'! "Sierradawn L." Seriously though I called the office when I was ready to come by to get my birth certificates from highly qualified receptionists that wanted to help serve me. I also inquired about a death certificate for my X-husband and according to the receptionist it's a search and rescue mission and only my daughter can request her father's death certificate if she's interested in seeing it. The conventional , beautiful 21St Century new birth certificates look like a Star'! Golden State materials! Just took my bus and made it in on time to win their hearts. Known by only one way the parking lot needs to install a bicycle rack for riders and cyclists. Be honest nobody needs to get hurt what good would that do? It's nobody's fault and everybody meant well and I just got to say sorry but I thought someone said her son's birth certificates cost her like $44? Okay why did I owe $76 for two birth certificates anybody out there? I prefer to keep a low profile and the justice system and the new me searching for honest, friendly people that don't misdirect and misinform running the clock against me to minimize my strategy to find the building coming up. By 4:30PM and a world of wrong directions and random questions about what I see to personalize my danger on the road by bike and missed it. To compensate for all the unnecessary noise about what happened or if I was a confused person with no relevance. She wanted to tell me to turn left to cover the entire street so that happened on my first day so I don't trust her. After taking my left turn left only one block in slow mo with people staring at me and walking in slo motion for a near problem- This bus driver was so disappointed that I couldn't get to my building after guessing in slow motion about rising left turns on wrong left blocks by someone lying to me that knows how to get there. Thank God I didn't have to go down every left turn to keep at it. Odds are big, strong women are definitely about riding bicycles and you can't deny it!
