We had walked by this place but never stopped and this time we "planned" to go! A band I like "Mandella" was playing so we went. The place was packed and everyone was having a great time. It has an outside court yard where the band played and people danced. We did not order food but had drinks and they were reasonable. Apparently they have music every night!?! read more

We had the absolute worst lunch today at this place. I ordered a bowl of lobster bisque and a salad. The other diners had salads as well. The soup was absolutely awful. The bisque was broken and chunky and had a weird sweet taste. The black beans on the salad were slimy and had white stuff on them. The chicken was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. Save your money and go anywhere else but not here. read more

What I liked: The service was good and the restaurant was clean. The patio allows dogs, which I love to see, although I personally wouldn't bring my long-haired dogs to the patio. What should be better: The server basically wore boy short spandex and her cheeks were hanging out. Great butt, but don't need to see it while eating. Worse than that, the food that I paid for was mediocre at best. The "Cuban Sandwich" was very skimpy on meat and served on a hoagie. The menu does state it's on a hoagie roll, but I thought I would roll the dice anyway - I lost. My lunch date tried it and immediately made a face and said "that is not a Cuban sandwich". We are both Cuban and know a thing or two about these sammies. My date had the spinach artichoke flatbread and also didn't like it stating "it's too dry". The fries with my sandwich were good, but stuck together in one ball, so pulling them apart was messy with ketchup on top of them. All in all, we won't return. read more

My husband and I stopped by on our way to a friend's house- had never been before since we don't live on that side of town. We sat at the bar on the patio. Really nice atmosphere for a Saturday evening- they had live music and NFL playoffs on the TV. The patio was packed because it was such a nice evening. We ordered a few beers and an order of cheese curds. Only issue we encountered is that it took close to 45 minutes to get our cheese curds. I think the bartender forgot to put the order in but not 100% sure- when we asked about them, she said "8-9 minutes and they'll be done, the kitchen got backed up" but then it took even longer than that. I know people make mistakes so we weren't upset, but we had them put in a to-go container because we ended up being late to our friend's house after waiting on them. Totally enjoy coming here whether with friends or by ourselves. It can get pretty crazy at times when a band is playing but the staff are still friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are pretty good too. Especially their burgers and fries after a long day of yard work. read more

Hubby and I did an impromptu date night and wanted a chill spot with live music. We have been wanting to try out Iggys so we came! Glad we did. We weren't too hungry and just wanted to have apps a cocktails. Down and Dirty: Great atmosphere, good apps, good cocktails and great service. Service/Atmosphere: Walked in and wanted outside seating. All tables were taken but they found a small square table and posted it up to the side and had us sit there. It was awesome that they took the time to try and accommodate versus telling us you're SOL and forced to sit inside. The table was in a perfect spot. Close enough to the stage where the live 80's cover band played with no view obstructions but far enough where the speaker isn't in my ear. On the outside of the crowd of tables and great people watching view. Our server, Janin, was very sweet and efficient even though our table was pretty far from her section given we were a last minute outside addition. We love coming here listening to live music and Saturday night didn't disappoint. Unfortunately we didn't get there early enough to get a seat outside but we could still hear the music inside while we ate. One of my favorite items to order here are the zucchini spirals. We ordered a basket to share. They tasted great as usual, but the portion size was so small compared to other times we've ordered them. We also ordered the fish and chips. The fish was fantastic! Tried Iggy's for the first time this past Sunday. It was a lot of fun. Saw a great live band Chillakaya outside and had some delicious wings. The beers were so nice and cold . Service was excellent and just can't wait to check it out again !! Outdoors seating and indoor seating. Super clean throughout the restaurant and the bathrooms are a tropical paradise. I love the fact that when you're in a stall it's your own private space for the time needed . I'm so over spending my money at a location and then if I use the bathroom my entire experience is spoiled because no staff does bathroom checks . Even though we live in the area, this was the first time we've visited. We typically dine with our kids and their Facebook posts always made me nervous to take our kids. We decided to give it a try. Surprisingly liked this place! It's right over the Julington Creek bridge in this really pretty shopping center. There is a few restaurants in this strip and Iggy's just kinda blended in with the others. Me and John joined in on a evening run and this was our end destination picked by the host. Running up ( literally) I liked that they have a nice outdoor area, a bar and tables to eat at! We joined with the group and made happy hour, specials on drafts, wells, and wine. We were hungry so ordered a few things and shared Buffalo cauliflower- yummy! Not too spicy, and tender Zucchini spirals- again yummy! Made fresh, I've never had fried zucchini like this and it was really good! Chicken finger basket- with fries, all of it tasted good! I'm not one to complain but this is huge no for me. Taking covid into consideration, there is no excuse for the sad service I got here. I arrived for drinks and a light dinner with a table of 4 ladies. We got our rounds of drinks. One by one, everyone got their food... everyone but me. I noticed after everyone had finished and I sat there starving for 30 minutes, that I wasn't getting my food. I asked my waitress to check, and I was clearly given an excuse, but no apology. I paid for my food, the whole meal that I had to pack in a to-go container because we had places to be and I couldn't possibly finish in 5 minutes. It's really sad that nobody offered an apology though there was clearly an error. Outside of the awful experience I had- The food was good. $10 chicken basket, $10 mojito, $5 well gin. Management and staff need to understand that people are on a lunch break on a week day and need to be in and out within 30-45 minutes. Food was also not well prepared... I ordered the lobster grill cheese....to my disappointment, it was imitation lobster/shrimp chunks that were processed. My other ordered flatbread pizza.... Most nights we have visited they have live music which is great. We were seated this time with no wait. I ordered a white peach sangria which was sweet and bubbly. I ordered off of the seasonal menu, the sausage Alfredo. It was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food! You wouldn't expect a bar and grille to have such tasty food. The food came out very quickly which was also a pleasant surprise. Our bill came out to around 50 dollars for two plates and a drink, which was very reasonable. The seafood nachos are a must order for appetizer, but it's a large enough portion to full up a grown man. The wasabi cucumber seared Ahi tuna salad was amazing. Crispy greens, super fresh tuna, and an awesome wasabi dressing that has a little kick. If you don't finish the jalapeños that come with the seafood nachos, save those for your salad to give it a little more kick. We consistent are bar people who like to sit at the bar, order some food, and enjoy live music. Love the live music and outdoor bar. Pleasantly surprised with this visit as prior experiences (different restaurant at this location) was not much to write home about. We sat outside as our friend brought his dog. They have an outside bar and patio seating which most nights has some live music. Thursday night is also $20 crab leg dinner night which gets you 3 clusters of snow crabs and two sides. Our friend who ordered them said they were good - along with his appetizer of peel and eat shrimp. We started with the smoked and grilled wings were on point. Not having the opportunity to partake in national cheeseburger day this week, I decided on a juicy and well executed Fun Guy burger with hearty mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and roasted garlic aioli. Live music, mild weather on the patio, and friendly service from Shelby made for a good experience so we may need to add this to our normal rotation since it's so close to home. The chicken was well prepared however the lettuce was not fresh, many pieces were brown and wilted or had a frozen look, which made it difficult to enjoy. This is a super casual restaurant and bar. They feature karaoke, bingo, and live bands on their patio. The first time I came here was with a friend and we just had drinks while listening to karaoke. I was drinking espresso martinis which were exceptional. I brought my husband for lunch a few days later. Loved it so much we returned again and decided I needed to review it. The menu has a wide variety of options. And I as mentioned previously, it has a great bar. The service on all occasions was impeccable. Iggy's is located in a shopping area that has many restaurants and shops. This has become my "go to" neighborhood place. Had no idea that Julington Creek had a night life.
