Tried Ali Baba Pizza a few years ago. They advertised as 2 for 1. I wanted a large and medium sized pizza. Why not order 2 large pizzas? I think we were leaving town the next day and didn't want any leftovers. When I phoned and inquired about the 2 for 1 price, they said it couldn't be done - you cannot order 2 different sizes and pay for 1. It didn't quite make sense to me because it's to their benefit if a customer's 2nd pizza is medium sized rather than large! Very strange, but needless to say I've never phoned Ali Baba again. I guess they're still in business because I see them flogging their pizza at the Victoria Royals hockey games. read more

The gluten free crust is amazing; i had the pulled pork pizza and my wife the goat; they were both really delicious.

This place was really disappointing. The pizza was cold, the cheese was burnt and hard, and it had a weird flavor. There are plenty of other pizza places in the area and I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

After a weekend of pretty bad pizza in Victoria, it was a relief to have a pizza slice that was actually a) warm, and b) had a flavour other than "rubber" or "glop." We got an astonishingly large amount of pizza; I've never ordered a "slice" and had leftovers to eat later. My selection was a spinach, feta, and tomato pizza, and it was pretty good, not too greasy and with a fairly crisp crust. Good quality crust, loads of toppings, big slices. Basically everything that a pizza should be, and it's not very greasy either! Mexican pizza was a pretty big hit with us, definitely recommend this place. Although the delivery estimate they gave us was 1 hour, so if you order in make sure to do so in advance. read more

Was waiting on Fort location form 20 minutes to learn they delivered my pizza to wrong customer and the offer was to either take the other customer order, or wait for another one which means the first pizza would get cold! so ended to get my money back and went to other store, which I guess I had to do it to start with. The worst customer service!!! EVER!!!! I ORDER all the time but this is the last time! Ordered carnivore pizza and ir was RANCID!!!! called to get it replaced an they said it would be 2 hrs..after 15 mins of arguments... The pizza is decent, but the last several times I've ordered pick up, they said 'it will be ready in 15 minutes', I've showed up after 20 and they wait until they've collected my money and then it's "It will be another 15". They hadn't even started it. This would be understandable if it was busy, but I sat and watched the staff socialize in the back, the place was empty and the phone wasn't ringing. I use to LOVE this place and was a loyal customer for years, then one day I ordered a pizza that for some reason was completely soggy. It wasn't a big deal, I just phoned to let them know and expected it to be replaced. However, the staff told me it wasn't possible for my pizza to be soggy and asked what I did to it!! They argued with me about it for far too long, then finally offered to give me 10% off my next order (HA!). In other words I would have to throw out the $30 pizza I waited two hours for, just to get 10% the next order?? I was moving out of town the next week so I said that would be no, then they finally offered to replace the pizza that night as long as I returned the previous pizza in tact (so much for my big pizza scam!). In the end I waited 2 hours for the first pizza (probably why it was soggy) and it took another 2 hours before I got the second, so I wasn't left feeling super satisfied. In short, the customer service seems wonderful there until you actually have a problem - then you'll get attitude, you'll probably get blamed and if you're lucky they will offer you an offensive solution (you throw away your soggy $30 pizza and we give you 10% off your next one!). This especially sucks when you've been a loyal customer who always tips well and treats staff respectfully, apparently there's no love for good customers at this location. This was the Fort St. Ali Baba so maybe the other ones are better?? I have moved since this happened so they also could have new management. We ordered at 6:00, they called us at 6:30, They called us to verify the address, then they called us back to say the pizza would be delivered in 1 1/2 hours. That's adds up to 2 hours to me. We cancelled! read more

Do not get Gluten free pizza here if you have any kind of reaction to Gluten, go to The Joint instead. I usually do, but The Joint is closed on Monday and I wanted pizza, so I decided to get a pizza from here. Big mistake. I got glutened pretty badly, and am still feeling the effects. I don't think it was from the crust, or I would be feeling much worse than I am, but my guts are still very unhappy. It's from some other ingredient, that was not disclosed as containing gluten on their menu. The Joint is good because on their menu they tell you directly which pizzas can be gluten free on the right (gluten free) crust, and which ingredients contain gluten. Not So with Ali Baba- you just have to go on experience and pray. I don't think they're as careful about cross-contamination, and don't give you any info on the menu to go by other than gluten-free crust is an option. If you just want gluten free because you're trying gluten free out, and you won't suffer from it, then this place is fine. Their crust is fluffy and pizza is tasty. If you're celiac of suffer any consequences from eating gluten- this is not your place. I had to throw out 3/4 of a pizza because I ate a couple slices and got stabbing pains in my gut, and then wasn't able to sleep all night, as well as the GI symptoms. SO not worth it. For reference, I got the Special, and I'm pretty sure the "peperoni" was some kind of veggie meat, not actual real peperoni as advertised. That was probably what did it. Worst gluten free experience ever. These people have no clue, and don't care. Go to the Joint instead. Never had a problem there. It's all very clear on the menu what's a go and what to avoid, that they educate their staff, and actually try to do a good job for their gluten averse customers. read more

After a really long day of being a tourist and walking, walking everywhere, my sister and I returned to our nightly digs at the Empress and collapsed. Not wanting to get up walk to another destination for dinner, we called Ali Baba. They delivered straight to our hotel door. The pizza was really good, and I'm not a big fan of pizza (sister is). Great crust, great sauce (and not thick and gloppy sauce-wise), and excellent veggie toppings. read more

Poor customer service! Ordered a pizza with estimated delivery in 45 minutes. Waited 2.5 hours and had to call to find out they "forgot the order, or something." Pizza was eventually delivered without apology and the delivery man was not even aware of the delay. Poor service, poor staff communication. Pizza would have made a good lunch but unfortunately came at dinner time. If you want a pizza that takes a half a day to arrive at your doorstep Ali Baba's is your place. read more

Quick delivery and reasonable charge, good and hot when arrived with lots of toppings. Lots of crust choices, I had thin crust, well made and tasty. Only problem is the price is for two pizza's which is too much for one person, but it was good, so will have the rest for lunch the next day. Would order again for sure. read more

I ordered from Ali Baba Pizza on recommendation from a friend. The selections looked good, delicious selection of toppings. online ordering was straight forward and the pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time. However the pizza arrived barely warm with very little chicken topping and a chewy crust. Overall I would best describe it as... meh. We also ordered the cinnamon rolls which were still quite warm after eating our pizza however the rolls were hard and burnt on the bottom. Over all not worth the price. read more

I usually order pizza from this Ali Baba every month or 2 for the monthly staff meeting for work and then order from the saanich one when getting for home. All usually goes well with my online order (although it was double delivered once and is often a bit late, but seeing how it usually ends up on friday this wasn't too much of an inconvienience. This time I put ion an online order at 10:30am and get told it would be ready in about 60 minutes. At 11:10 am I get a call saying their printer did not print the order and it wouldn't be ready until 12:30pm as a result ( a full hour later). The employee did not offer any solution other than my pizza would be an hour late from their mistake, I confirmed there was nothing else they could do and told them to cancel the order. They knew my order came in at 10:30am and chose not to put my order before others that came in after. It will be the last time me or my work order from this location. read more
