We ordered from here for my dad's 70th birthday dinner and everything we ordered was good! My dad is a chef and it's hard to please him with restaurant food but this was one of the exceptions. Ali (the owner) was great! Was going to place an order via the website but saw that they may get charged a fee for it so I called instead (~4:30pm Saturday). Ali had just taken 6 other orders before mine and said it would take a little while for the food to be ready. It's pretty much a one-man operation with a couple of employees. Ultimately took around 45-60 minutes for the order to be finished, so plan accordingly! We ordered nearly every protein on the menu and were pleased with what we got. -ground beef kebab (koobideh?): this was a favorite of everyone's. Perfectly seasoned and wishing we ordered more of this one. -chicken kebab, salmon filet: seasoned just enough and wasn't overcooked/dry. -lamb shank: very tender and flavorful -shrimp kebab: was not what we were expecting but was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. We were hesitant to get seafood to go because overcooked seafood will end up dry, but the tomato based sauce that the shrimp was cooked in was really good and paired well with the rice. -beef kebab: the men in my family enjoyed this but the women did not (because they felt it was too tough). Mother-in-law said it was overcooked but I think it was actually because there was tendon that was hard for them to chew. -the side salad that went with the meals were very appetizing and was a great palate cleanser. -hummus was excellent -baklava was one of the best ones I've had - not drenched in syrup. All the layers were still flaky crispy, and even though baklava is always too sweet for my Asian taste buds this one was on the less sweet side, especially if you had one of the center pieces with whole pistachios in the middle. -rice was seasoned well, and the grilled veggies were perfect since we didn't have to waste much of it from it being too burnt (as in many cases when you order grilled veggies). -quail was a little too over-seasoned for our liking, and took away from the texture of the meat. Overall great take-out experience, and would definitely order from here again. read more

I ordered takeout and got the chicken kabob plate. It came with 2 skewers, rice, hummus, salad and pita bread. It also had a roasted tomato and green pepper on top. When I got there, the staff greeted me by name and my order was ready. I even got the 20% off available through Yelp! The chicken was REALLY GOOD. Juicy and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the hummus and the rice. The salad was just okay. The pita bread was low carb, low calorie and low flavor. But with some garlic sauce, you're good to go! Wow, what the heck.... I've never had a restaurant experience like this before... So yea, just 2 days after we tried this place for the first time, we were in the mood for it again. I placed an order on grubhub, and due to some sort of mixup with the hours, when I went to pick it up, the restaurant hadn't opened yet. The owner was there early though, and he told me no problem, he could just start cooking it up. He did tell me that he didn't have the order confirmation available and he asked to see the order on my phone. He saw it and said, "Oh, you ordered here a couple days ago, right? And you left a positive yelp review? Thank you so much!" WTF? It's not like I have a unique name - and we'd never seen each other in person. But he knew from our order that it was me from a couple days ago, AND that I wrote a yelp review. Then when he brought out our order, he told me he threw in a couple of grape leaves and some baklava. He also referenced my yelp review and told me that although the pita is prebought, the hummus is homemade, and that he just made a fresh batch. WTF? I don't think I've ever been to any company (not just restaurants) that had that attention to detail. I have to admit, the hummus tasted better today than a couple days ago. And if he gave us the grape leaves and baklava as part of a nefarious plan to get us hooked on them, then mission accomplished. I mean, I don't even like grape leaves, but these were so soft and flavorful on the inside. And the baklava - holy cow. I've had plenty of baklava in my day, and they're usually super sticky and/or super sweet. And these were neither - they were just the right level of sweetness, and not a sticky mess, and it was just flaky, crispy perfection. Anyway, this is the kind of business that deserves to prosper and stick around. Next time I'm just going to skip grubhub entirely and order directly on the phone, so that this place won't have to pay any extra fees. read more

WOW! I've passed by this place a few times and finally stopped in for dinner. My husband and I shared the baba ghanoush and beef shawarma plate. The portions are perfect for sharing and DELICIOUS. The spices they use are divine and the way they prepare everything is perfect. The beef was FANTASTIC. The salad was perfectly acidic and even the roasted vegetables on top complemented the food so well. To top it off we got baklava on the house and it was perfectly crisp and nutty, not too sweet. The owners were so kind and it felt like we were eating at their house with the quality of food and service. Overall a great experience and can't wait to come back to try more! read more

This review is for a July 29, 2020 takeout order. First impression when walking in to pick up my order was that no one was there to greet you. Eventually someone noticed me and I got my food. Note: No one was wearing a mask not even the cooks, if I had known that before I wouldn't have ordered from this establishment. Food: Got the Kafta Kabob Plate & Chicken Kabab. Unfortunately none were very good. The chicken was dry and the rice was subpar. We didn't finish our food and just threw it out. The one item that was delicious was the spicy hummus. 5 stars! Amazing food & customer service. While placing my takeout order on the phone, I already knew I would be writing a good review about this place. Found out upon arrival for pickup that I was speaking to the owner, Alex. Alex added all the extras I requested to my order, and even included some baklava for me to try. I usually never tip above 10% for to-go orders, but I just had to. Meat and veggies were charred to perfection. Hummus and garlic sauce very creamy and delicious. Every element in my order was packed with flavor. I wish I found this place earlier, as I am moving to Nevada next month. But I will definitely be coming back for more. read more

Hands down the best Lebanese and Middle Eastern food in the area, and that I have ever had. Ahmad and his staff are not only extremely helpful but set a very welcoming vibe and atmosphere as well. The food is absolutely worth the amount of money you spend, you can taste the time and effort they put into their recipes. I feel like there are many "bbq" places out there that do things somewhat okay and it's never spot on. Here you can taste the char of the meat knowing it was grilled to order, all the seasonings, and just very tender top notch quality beef. Our favorite items are the lamb shawarma dish/sandwich, lamb shanks, and wings (mango habanero is really good)--but you really can't go wrong with anything! I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. This place is just alright. I ordered 2 lamb sandwiches and fries. When I went to the counter I was almost overcharged double what my order was. Luckily I was able to correct the lady before she put my card in. The lamb was alright taste wise but there was barely any of it in both sandwiches. It was like a lettuce sandwich with a side of lamb. Seriously the portion was terrible. The French fries were just alright nothing special. Overall I wasn't impressed at all with this place and you have much better options available to you elsewhere. read more
